SZA‘s SOS is holding down its spot as the #1 song on the Billboard 200. The album’s officially been atop the chart for seven weeks, the publication reports.

In the week ending January 26, per Luminate, SOS earned 111,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. With another week on top, it continues to make its way into Billboard‘s record-breaking statistics.

To start, SOS is the first album by a woman to spend seven weeks at #1 since Taylor Swift‘s Folklore in 2020. It’s one of three albums to stay atop the chart for at least seven weeks in the last year, joining Bad Bunny‘s Un Verano Sin Ti and the Encanto soundtrack.

It’s the first R&B/hip-hop album to spend its first seven weeks at #1 since Drake‘s Views in 2016, and the first R&B/hip-hop album by a woman, or R&B album by any act, to spend its first seven weeks at #1 since Whitney Houston‘s Whitney accomplished the feat in 1987.

SZA’s sophomore project, released back in December, has spent the most consecutive weeks atop the list since the Encanto soundtrack’s eight-week run. It’s the last album by a woman to spend seven consecutive weeks at #1 since Adele’s 25 in 2016. Billboard reports SOS25 and Taylor’s Folklore are the only three albums by a woman that have spent seven weeks at #1 in the last two decades.

SOS also has the most weeks at #1 for an R&B album by any artist since Usher‘s Confessions in 2004, and the most weeks at #1 for an R&B/hip-hop album or an R&B album by a woman since Mariah Carey‘s Music Box, which nonconsecutively spent eight weeks at #1 between late 1993 and early 1994.

Ghost turns the clock back to 1969 for upcoming Los Angeles exhibit

When the Eagles famously sang, “We haven’t had that spirit here since 1969,” on “Hotel California,” perhaps they were really talking about Ghost.

The Swedish rockers have announced an upcoming exhibit in Los Angeles dedicated to their “1969 era.” The display, titled Ghost — Reverence & Resurrection, will open at the famed Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles on February 1 and will feature “artifacts from the short lived but massively influential 1969 iteration of Ghost.”

Of course, Ghost wasn’t actually active in 1969 — frontman Tobias Forge wasn’t even born until 1981. The group’s “1969 era” is part of the ever-expanding mythology of Ghost, which, as longtime fans know, features a variety of characters and an elaborate backstory.

Ghost previously turned back the clock to 1969 with the lyric video for their TikTok-viral song “Mary on a Cross.”

Paul McCartney has shared some never-before-heard music by the late guitarist Jeff Beck, who died earlier this month. The music was part of a pro-vegetarian campaign the pair worked on back in 1994.

“With the sad passing of Jeff Beck – a good friend of mine, and a great, great guitar player – it reminded me of the time we worked together many years ago on a campaign for vegetarianism,” McCartney shares. “It’s great guitar playing, cause it’s Jeff!”

Beck’s message was previously used in a 13-part radio series called Oobu Joobu, which gave fans a glimpse of Paul’s world, including his vegetarianism campaigns. In the clip, Beck can be heard questioning why the rainforest is being cut down for cattle grazing, warning that since tropical plants are used for medicines and pharmaceutical needs, we could be risking missing out on a “possible discovery of a miracle cure just for a dollar fifth hamburger.”

Sarah McLachlan parodies old ASPCA commercials for new Busch Light Super Bowl ad

Sarah McLachlan is back for her second Super Bowl ad and is bringing the laughs by teaming up with Busch Light to spoof her old ASPCA commercials.

The ASPCA famously used her 1998 song “Angel” for its tear-jerking commercials, which showed homeless cats and dogs in shelters. Now, Sarah is using her ballad for wild animals.

The commercial, titled The Busch Guide: Cold + Smooth Survival Skills, starts with the company’s rugged mascot, affectionately known as Busch Guy, providing tips on how to survive in the wilderness. He goes over the three necessities — food, drink and shelter — but it appears the Canadian singer misinterprets who is in need of shelter.

Sarah sits in a tent with a wolf and launches into a speech about needing donations to provide shelter for wild animals. Of course, “Angel” is playing as the camera shows foxes, deer and other forest animals in their natural habitat.

Busch Guy interrupts her spiel by cracking open a beer and pointing out, “Wrong shelter, Sarah.” He also lets her know she’s sitting next to a wolf, not a dog.

The 30-second spot will air during the Super Bowl on February 12. Busch Light will donate $25,000 to One Tree Planted to help with global forest conservation.

This marks Sarah’s second Super Bowl ad and third overall parodying her ASPCA commercials. Her last commercial for the big game was in 2014, when she teamed up with Audi for that infamous Doberhuahua spot.

She also appeared in a 2022 Bolt.com commercial by partnering with Ryan Reynolds‘ Maximum Effort marketing company to raise awareness of abandoned online shopping carts.

In 2019, The Who returned to London’s Wembley Stadium for the first time in 40 years, and now fans who weren’t there can experience the concert. The band is set to release The Who with Orchestra Live At Wembley on March 31, recorded during their July 6, 2019, headlining show at the famed London venue.

The concert has them performing classic tunes from albums like Quadrophenia, Tommy, Who’s Next and Who Are You, backed by a 50-piece orchestra. And to give fans a taste of what to expect, they’ve just released the live recording of their classic “Baba O’Riley.”

“Just because it is The Who with an orchestra, in no way does it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music,” Roger Daltrey shares. “It is full throttle Who with horns and bells on.” Pete Townshend adds, “Roger christened this tour Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose.”

The album will be released in a variety of formats, including a limited edition yellow, orange and red three-LP set, triple black vinyl and a two-CD/Blu-ray set with the audio remixed in Dolby Atmos. The album is available for preorder now.

And that’s not all. The Who also announced dates for their United Kingdom summer tour, featuring special guest UB40 featuring Ali Campbell at all shows except those in London and Edinburgh, Scotland. The trek, which includes their first dates in Edinburgh in more than 40 years, kicks off July 6 in Hull, England, and wraps July 23 in Brighton, England. A complete list of dates can be found at TheWho.com.
