Billie Eilish accepted the 2026 MLK Jr. Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award in Atlanta over the weekend.

After receiving the honor presented by the King Center, Billie admitted in her acceptance speech that it was “hard to celebrate” given that environmental justice feels “less achievable than ever given the state of our country and the world right now.”

“We’re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut, fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people’s access to food and health care becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans,” she said. “It is very clear that protecting our planet and our communities are not a priority for this administration.”

But she said that being at the event was giving her hope for the future.

“I am so inspired by all the stories and the other honorees tonight and everyone in this room, and I’m grateful to everyone and for the huge community of people who are taking action centered on Dr. King’s message,” she said. “I have this platform and I think it’s my responsibility to use it, so I feel like I’m just doing what anyone in my position should be doing.”

Billie previously raised more than $11.5 million in donations through her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour for her Changemaker Program, which helps organizations fighting food insecurity and the climate crisis.

The annual MLK Jr. Beloved Community Awards is set to air on BET in February.

T.I. took some time away from making music, but he’s officially back, returning with the signature fade he wore in the early years of his rap career.

After years of wearing dreadlocks, the rapper posted a video on social media teasing the song and his hair transformation. The clip opens with the sound of buzzing clippers and glimpses of T.I. in the barber chair. “Get ready, it’s time,” a voice-over says, which is followed by on-screen text announcing his new song.

“He’s Baaaaaaack!!!!!!” T.I. added in the caption. “Let Em Know,” produced by Pharrell aka Skateboard P, is out now.

“Let Em Know” is set to appear on T.I.’s upcoming album, Kill the King. Speaking to TMZ in 2023, he explained the meaning behind the title. “’Kill the King’ to me, it’s a representation of killing the ego,” he said. “I feel like the King of the South moniker is very egotistical, self-gratuitous, and it’s a persona that kind of enters the room before I do physically.”

T.I. previously told Baller Alert that the project will be his final album, and described what kind of music fans will hear. “So my last album is Kill the King, which will be, you know, it’s gon’ be edgy, energetic,” he said. “It’s gon’ have a lot of Tip in it … but I’ve been making somewhat, I guess, more melodic, you know, more R&B vibes, Afrobeat-R&B vibe, party music.”

“Let Em Know” follows T.I.’s 2024 releases “LLogclay” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and “Thank God” featuring Young Dro and Kirk Franklin with the Sunday Service Choir. His last full-length album was 2020’s L.I.B.R.A.

Suzy Bogguss is now officially a member of the Grand Ole Opry, after she was inducted by Reba McEntire during Friday night’s show.

After Suzy sang her hits “Someday Soon,” “Aces” and “Outbound Plane,” Trisha Yearwood came out — which was a surprise to the audience.

“I love this woman,” she said of Suzy. “It’s really an honor to be here on such a special moment. To get to be here on the night you were invited and to be here tonight is just amazing.”

“Suzy Bogguss is one of those artists who doesn’t just sing songs, she lives them,” Trisha continued. “Her voice, her heart, her commitment to the music have inspired so many, including me.”

Then Reba came on for the official induction.

“Suzy Bogguss’ voice is like an angel’s voice,” Reba told the crowd. “When she sings you know it. You know it when you hear it on the radio. I am so proud to give you this trophy that tells you that you are the latest member of the Grand Ole Opry. Congratulations!”

Suzy admitted she was a little overwhelmed.

“I can’t even express it to you. And you know me — I talk a lot and I can’t even find words,” she said. “This place is so special. Honestly, I have always been nervous up here. Tonight, sitting in the circle, I feel so calm. It’s like being in the eye of the hurricane or something.”

Reba and Trisha returned to join Suzy, Terri Clark and Kathy Mattea on “Hey Cinderella,” before Reba closed out the show, which was also her 40th anniversary as an Opry member.

Just in case you’ve missed the “Marlboro Man,” Midland‘s bringing him back — in song, that is.

That’s the name of the trio’s new single, which is accompanied by a music video shot in lead singer Mark Wystrach‘s hometown of Sonoita, Arizona.

After a dozen years as a band, “Marlboro Man” resonates with the three of them, with its musings on what you may lose when you’re always on the go.

“On the road, images of home haunt us at every turn and the landscape is filled with vistas of the same old regrets, yet the sun continues to come up, the bus marches on and the cycle continues,” Mark reflects.

“You always strive to learn and grow,” he continues, “but the core of a man never changes from summer to snow as we keep riding on along, mile after mile, to get to the next show — like that damn Marlboro Man.”

Mark, Jess Carson and Cameron Duddy will be back on tour Feb. 13, when they play Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A$AP Rocky had a jam-packed weekend in support of his new album, Don’t Be Dumb, kicking things off with a private album listening party Friday at New York City’s Lavan Midtown.

According to Vibe, the venue was decked out with decals and art inspired by the album’s artwork and a “D.B.D.”-branded helicopter installation. Specialty cocktails were named after Rocky-related themes, including “Don’t Be Dumb,” “AWGE-ARITA” and “The Helicopter.” Guests could look through exclusive merch such as screen-printed Don’t Be Dumb T-shirts and posters, Kiehl’s products and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Attendees also had the chance to customize free Puma sneakers using A$AP Rocky’s text logo, an AWGE stamp or a Stop Snitchin stamp.

DJ Spinking took the 1s and 2s, with A$AP Lou aka Lou Banga taking over to cue up the “Helicopter” single, before playing the rest of the album. “Eight f*****’ years later. Don’t Be f*****’ Dumb s*** finally out!” Rocky told the crowd, thanking them for their support. Jon Batiste, Max B, Fivio Foreign, Lil Mama, DJ Clue, Lenny S, Masika Kalysha, Busta Rhymes and his partner, Rihanna, were in attendance.

Rocky continued the momentum on Saturday Night Live, where he made his debut as musical guest performing “Punk Rocky,” “Helicopter” and the album’s title track, and even appeared in a sketch.

On Sunday — also known as A$AP Yams Day — he honored the late A$AP Mob co-founder Steven Rodriquez. “I LOVE U STEVE , U STILL CHANGING MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER A WHOLE DECADE LATER , HAPPY YAMS DAY! #LONGLIVEYAMS,” he wrote on X.

The weekend also included a pop-up, as well as an Amazon Music livestream featuring pretaped performances of songs from Don’t Be Dumb.

On This Day, Jan. 19, 1993: Fleetwood Mac reunites for President Bill Clinton’s inauguration gala

On This Day, Jan. 19, 1993…

The classic Fleetwood Mac lineup of Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie and John McVie reunited for the first time in six years to perform at President Bill Clinton’s first inauguration gala.

The band performed their classic Rumours track “Don’t Stop,” which had been used as Clinton’s campaign song.

Other performers at the gala included Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin.

The classic Fleetwood Mac lineup reunited again in 1997 for a live, filmed concert called The Dance. It spawned a live album of the same name, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts and was supported by an arena tour.

The lineup continued to work together until 2018, when Lindsey Buckingham was fired from the group. The band went on to tour without him, adding Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell and Crowded House’s Neil Finn to the lineup.

Following Christine McVie’s death in November 2022, Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks have said that they can’t see the band touring again without her.

The sketch features a group of 12-year-old boys — played by Sabrina, Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline and Veronika Slowikowska — doing a podcast where they rate their favorite snacks. Wolfhard appears on the pod as a 16-year-old Twitch streamer and A$AP appears as himself.

The episode marked A$AP’s first time as musical guest on SNL, and he performed three songs from his new album, Don’t Be Dumb.

Roger Waters has responded to criticism of his comments regarding the late Ozzy Osbourne.

As previously reported, the Pink Floyd founder commented on the Black Sabbath frontman’s death in an interview with The Independent Ink, saying, “[Ozzy] was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.”

“I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did,” Waters said. “I have no interest in biting the heads off chickens or whatever they do.”

Waters’ comments were roundly excoriated by the Osbourne family. Son Jack Osbourne called him “pathetic and out of touch,” while Sharon Osbourne deemed him “insignificant.” Meanwhile, the Ozzy Osbourne web store sold a limited-edition t-shirt featuring the phrase “another p**** in the wall,” a reference to Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall.”

Waters later defended his comments in an interview with Piers Morgan, saying, “Do I have to like every rock group there ever was in the world?”

When asked whether he’d like to apologize to the Osbourne family, Waters first said, “Yeah, of course I will,” before adding, “Not that I have any time for Sharon Osbourne,” noting their disagreement over Israel.

“If [Jack] wants to have a chat, I’ll have a chat with him,” Waters said. “I’m sorry you lost your dad, Jack.”

Waters did, however, learn that Ozzy had bitten the head off a bat, not a chicken.

“I don’t like people who bite the heads off bats,” Waters said. “I think it’s disgusting.”
