As Zara Larsson prepares to kick off the North American leg of her Midnight Sun tour later this month, her song of the same name is climbing the charts. While the song has a specific meaning, Zara says its title also reflects her general outlook on life these days.

“It’s about just really my love for nature and, like, to be alive and to see a beautiful cloud or to have the wind in my hair and, like, all the small stuff,” she told ABC Audio of the song “Midnight Sun.” “And I think that also represents me where I’m at right now. It’s something that is a bit of the lightness in the dark, y’know, always finding like the positive things, just keeping the spirits up, I think.”

The phrase “Midnight Sun” refers to the fact that her home country of Sweden gets almost 24 hours of daylight during the summer months. Zara, 28, said she chose the title for her album in part because the phenomenon makes her think of her early life in Stockholm.

“It’s something that I grew up with. I had the best, most beautiful, bright summers,” she explained. “And it’s about [those] very, very strong polar opposites of the winter and the summer [in Sweden] that really makes me savor the good moments. I think a lot of people in Sweden do that.”

“And now I feel like I can be nostalgic about my childhood and stuff,” she added. “I feel I reached that age where I’m like, ‘Right, yeah.’ So there’s some of that in there too.”

Metallica will be honored as the visionary partner of the year at the 2026 Red Cross Gala in San Francisco, taking place March 21.

The distinction comes after the “Enter Sandman” metallers teamed up with the Red Cross in 2025 to set up blood drives alongside stops on their M72 tour.

“Giving back as a united, engaged community has always been at the core of [Metallica’s charity foundation] All Within My Hands, and working alongside the Red Cross has shown us just how powerful that can be,” Metallica says. “From last year’s fan-fueled Red Cross × Metallica blood drive series — which blew us away by hitting more than 1,000 donations in its first month — to years of teaming up on disaster relief, we’ve seen firsthand how acts of kindness can save lives.”

The band adds, “Thank you to the Red Cross for this incredible recognition, and thank you to the #MetallicaFamily, who prove every day that doing good is something we all can amplify. Seeing fans, volunteers, and entire communities show up again and again shows just how much this work matters.”

It’s official: Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell will be running for Congress. After stepping down as head football coach at Florida’s Miami Edison Senior High School and contemplating his return to politics, he announced the news in a statement on Facebook Monday.

“After decades of fighting for my community—from the courtroom defending free speech all the way to the United States Supreme Court, to building businesses that created jobs across the South, to mentoring and coaching thousands of young people into college—I have officially decided to run for Congress in Florida’s 20th District,” the statement reads.

“For more than 35 years, I have worked on the ground in Liberty City and throughout South Florida—co-founding Liberty City Optimist, partnering with city and county leaders, building relationships with corporate sponsors, and helping hundreds of thousands of young people access education and opportunity through sports and mentorship. I’ve done the work. I have the relationships. And I know how to get things done,” it continues.

Luke adds that his goal “is to make [Congressional District 20] the standard of what a congressional district in America should look like—revitalized, respected, and resourced.”

He concludes, “It’s time to turn influence into impact.”

Florida’s Congressional 20th District, which includes West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, is currently represented by Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.

Luke previously ran for mayor of Miami-Dade County in 2011.

In the 2000s, Sarah McLachlan filmed a heartbreaking PSA for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals that featured her 1997 hit “Angel.” Ten years later, we’re still talking about it.

Appearing on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, Sarah told Amy that the PSA raised $30 million for the organization in the first year alone. When Amy asked her if people assume that she’s “constantly fostering and adopting animals,” Sarah began to laugh.

“Oh yeah,” she said. “And also, just, you know, like, 10 or 20 letters a week about, you know, people sending me all their rescues or, ‘I’m doing this charity. I’m working with this. Can you help?’”

“It took on such a life of its own, I remember I was doing a food bank charity gig in New York eight years later and they said, ‘Can you please not play “Angel”? Because it’s so synonymous with this other charity, there’s going to be some brand confusion,'” Sarah continued. “I’m like, ‘God, are you serious?'”

Sarah told People last year that “in some ways, [the ad] brought me to a whole new audience,” even though she didn’t like it at first.

“I couldn’t watch it. It was just like, ‘Oh, God, it’s awful,'” she told People. “But it worked like a hot damn.”

Some chaos at RAYE’s concert in Paris, France, on Sunday has led the singer to offer fans free tickets as an apology.

On her Instagram Story on Tuesday, the “Where Is My Husband!” singer wrote that she was devastated that 65 fans who’d purchased tickets to the show at the Accor Arena were turned away, which she called “completely unacceptable and wrong.”

“I have been told this was a system error at Ticketmaster, meaning 65 tickets were not fully validated when they were purchased,” she explained, noting that it was “outside of anything I could control and I feel saddened and let down.”

While the unlucky fans received refunds, RAYE said she wants to go the extra mile to make it up to them.

“I’d like to offer all of these 65 people who didn’t get in to the show complimentary tickets to any Raye future show of their choice and a signed vinyl,” she announced. “[Y]ou will be contacted shortly about this.”

The singer went on to write that she knows “this doesn’t even remotely make up for this mess,” but added that “it’s all I can think of in this moment to soften the blow.”

She signed off by offering her “deepest apologies.”

RAYE’s This Tour May Contain New Music arrive in North America on March 31.
