Everybody has seen obvious clickbait stories, and knows to ignore them, but when actor Billy Eichner saw one relating to his dating life, he couldn’t resist a click.

The post, titled “New Celebrity Relationships That Made Us Feel Better About 2021,” featured Eichner, the writer and star of the gay rom-com Bros, paired up with Anna Kendrick.

“Um,” Eichner responded, before tweeting it at the Pitch Perfect actress: “Hey @AnnaKendrick47 – cats out of the bag!!!”

He also added, “Guys I know this is really bad timing with all the Bros stuff but…I’m straight.”

For her part, Kendrick replied, “We can finally live our truth Billy! You’ve felt so pressured to seem like a gay man that you made #BrosMovie but you’re free now! Our love can flourish!”

However, Eichner has already moved on from his fake relationship. The Billy on the Street and The Lion King star retweeted a post from Mariah Carey, who said she was planning to watch Bros at a private New York City screening related to Pride Month.

“Can’t wait to laugh, cry, laugh some more and love @billyeichner’s #BrosMovie,” the diva captioned a short video tweet.

To that, Eichner posted, “I’m sorry @AnnaKendrick47 but I’m seeing a new woman tonight.”

Chris Evans wants back in the MCU … but not as Captain America

One of the rumors surrounding Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was that Chris Evans would return to the Multiverse — but not as Captain America.

As any fanboy or girl could tell you, before he strapped on the spangly outfit and vibranium shield, Evans played a different superhero: Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, in two Fantastic Four films produced by 20th Century Fox.

However, rumors he’d be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe turned out to be unfounded — in fact, he said he was never asked.

“God, wouldn’t that be great?” Evans said to MTV News. “No one’s ever come to me about that.”

“I really loved that character,” the Lightyear star admits of the brash, self-immolating daredevil.

“I would love it,” he added said with a giggle. “That would actually be an easier sell to me than coming back as Cap. Cap has been so precious to me, I almost don’t want to disrupt what a beautiful experience that was.

“But Johnny Storm, I feel like he didn’t really get his day, that was before Marvel really found his footing. So, who knows!”

Disney/Pixar’s Lightyear is now in theaters.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

In the new film Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Emma Thompson stars as a repressed former religious ed teacher who goes on a sex-positive journey of acceptance with the help of a much younger male escort, played by Daryl McCormack.

The two characters – who meet each other under the aliases Nancy Stokes and Leo Grande – end up changing each others’ lives in different ways, and both Thompson and McCormack agree that making this film was a life-changing experience for them, too.

“I think that’s not an exaggeration, is it?” Thompson, 63, tells ABC Audio. “It’s a timing thing in your life and I think that Nancy and Leo certainly hit us right in the center of our souls, right at the right moment; it’s bizarre. I don’t think I could have played her even five years ago.”

McCormack, 29, adds, “Just seeing a young man presented on screen in that way … the sensitivity that he had, yet he felt masculine, he felt he knew who he was. And I just haven’t seen men portrayed on-screen like that before.”

Thompson and McCormack also had to build intimacy with each other quickly, which they say was aided by the tight production schedule and COVID-19 restrictions.

“We shot it in 19 days. It was all in lockdown. We couldn’t go out with anyone else,” Thompson says. “So we were very like Nancy and Leo. We were locked in a hotel for 19 days making this.”

Good Luck to You, Leo Grande is available now on Hulu.

Jennifer Lopez posted a sweet Father’s Day message to her fiancé, Ben Affleck — but what’s also getting attention is the fact she neglected to mention ex-husband Marc Anthony, the father of their 14-year-old twins, Maximilian and Emme.

“Happy Father’s Day to the most caring, loving, affectionate, consistent and selfless Daddy ever,” Jen captioned the video about Ben, adding, “#HappyFathersDay my love.”

The slideshow of pictures and video of the celebrity couple together were coupled with an interview voiceover from Lopez in which she said, “nothing is more fulfilling to me than being able to build a family with someone” she loves “deeply,” who is, “…just as dedicated to family and to each other as we can be…”

Affleck is dad to 16-year-old Violet, 13-year-old Seraphina and 10-year-old Samuel, his three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

J. Lo also posted a Dad’s Day message to David, her own father, who she called, “the best daddy ever!”

Rhea Seehorn stars as Kim Wexler in AMC’s Better Call Saul, whose final six episodes start airing July 11. In the meantime, you can see Seehorn starring in — and directing and executive-producing — the AMC digital series Cooper’s Bar, which is partly based on her and her real-life pals.

Cooper’s Bar, free on AMC.com and YouTube, follows an actor, played by Lou Mustillo, who hangs with his friends at the Tiki bar he built in his backyard. One day, an evil Hollywood exec named Kris, played by Seehorn, is lured to the bar and decides to turn it into a TV series.

But it turns out Mustillo really does have a bar in his backyard, and it’s a hangout for Seehorn and the show’s other stars and creators.

“Lou is such a tremendous actor…and he has all these incredible stories,” Seehorn tells ABC Audio. “And after a while, we were like, ‘We’ve got to just film one of these!'”

She laughs, “There’s always that danger of, you think you and your friends are funny enough that you should put it on camera at 2:00 in the morning…and then not really. So it was all about the scripts.”

Seehorn says it was “pretty weird” going from Better Call Saul to Cooper’s Bar: They shot all six episodes in six nights in Mustillo’s backyard. But she says portraying Kris — “this awful, terrible woman” who’s “cartoonishly villanous” — was “a lot of fun.”

While Cooper’s Bar is full of Hollywood in-jokes, Seehorn says the show is about the universal themes of “following your dreams” and “having a group of friends that’s your chosen family.”

And that upcoming Better Call Saul finale? Seehorn won’t spill, but she admits, “I’m still psychologically parsing out and mulling over the ending…it was amazing!”

On her first Father’s Day without her famous dad, Bob Saget, the beloved comedian’s daughter, Lararemembered him on Instagram with a sweet message.

With a throwback photo of the pair together, 32-year-old Lara Saget noted, “My dad wasn’t just my dad, he was my best friend. He wore his heart. He didn’t hide it; he wasn’t afraid of love. My dad simply wanted to share laughter and love with this world.”

She continued, “I have noticed how scary it can be to love that big, to open so fully. It can be easier to be angry, fearful, negative. Maybe because love has an infinite quality, it is boundless.”

“My dad taught me that it doesn’t matter what life throws, how hard, how painful, how seemingly impossible,” she continued. “It doesn’t stop that love. He chose love, always.”

“I commit to doing the same,” Lara added, calling it “my responsibility to give it to myself and share by living in the love.”

She concluded the post with, “I love you infinitely, dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

Saget was found dead in his Orlando, Florida hotel room on January 9 after suffering head injuries blamed on an unspecified fall.

One of the first to comment on Lara’s post was one of Saget’s Full House daughters, Jodie Sweetin, who wrote, ” Beautiful, Lara. Sending you lots of love today.”

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ repeats at #1 with $58.7 million; ‘Lightyear’ sputters with $51 million

Jurassic World: Dominion‘s estimated $58.7 million haul was enough to top the domestic box office for the second week in a row, thanks to a less than stellar showing from Disney-Pixar’s animated Lightyear. The Toy Story spinoff didn’t quite make it to infinity and beyond, only managing an estimated $51 million for a second-place finish. That’s significantly shy of the $70 million to $80 million debut pundits were forecasting.

Meanwhile, Top Gun: Maverick slid to third place with an estimated $44 million for a four-week total of $466.2 million at the North American box office. It also continued to perform well overseas, where it has collected $419 million. It’s worldwide total gross currently stands at $885.2 million.

Fourth place belongs to Disney-Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which earned $4.2 million. Its seven-week domestic tally now stands at $405.1 million, to go along with $537.4 million overseas. Its current global total gross now stands at $942.5 million.

Rounding out the top five is The Bob’s Burger Movie with an estimated $980,000. Its four-week domestic haul now sits at $29.8 million to go along with $2.1 million overseas, for a total gross of $31.8 million worldwide.

Guest co-host Sherri Shepherd and her audience said goodbye to The Wendy Williams Show Friday, saluting the chat show’s host as an “icon.”

Preceding the show’s Hot Topics segment, Shepherd commented, “You have to say — there is nobody like Wendy Williams. From her days on the radio, to ruling daytime talk for 13 seasons, Wendy earned her title as the queen of all media.”

She added, “If you think about it, Wendy Williams changed daytime talk with her unique take on ‘Hot Topics,’ her one-of-a-kind celebrity interviews, the signature ‘As Wendy’ segments and, of course y’all, her famous ‘How you doin?'”

Shepherd then addressed Williams directly, saying, “Miss Wendy, you are an icon and you are loved by so many, so many,” leading to cheers of “Wendy! Wendy!” from the studio audience.

Williams wasn’t present for the final taping. Instead, as reported, a video highlight reel of her time on the show was unspooled.

Williams missed every taping this season for heath issues. She’s also embroiled in a financial conservatorship situation, accusing Wells Fargo bank of freezing her assets.

Shepherd will host her own eponymous talk show in the same syndicated time slots previously occupied by Williams’ show starting in the fall.
