After pleading not guilty to felony burglary charges back in October, Ezra Miller has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of trespassing.

Deadline reports that an attorney for the embattled Flash star, who was accused of stealing three bottles of liquor — gin, vodka and rum — from the pantry of Stamford, Vermont neighbor on May 1, has submitted a Notice of Plea Agreement with the Vermont Superior Court’s Criminal Division to have Counts 1 and 2 of burglary and petit larceny waived.

Vermont’s penalty for the third count of trespassing carries a penalty of up to three months jail time, or a fine of no more than $500.00 or both.” Miller will pay $692 — the base fine, plus a surcharge of $192.

Count 1 of burglary into an occupied dwelling carried a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison, a fine of up to $1,000 or both. The second count of petit larceny, carries a penalty of up to one year of confinement, up to $1,000 or both.

Miller was charged in August following an investigation into the break-in in Stamford, Vermont, close to the actor’s own home. It was Miller’s latest instance of questionable behavior, which previously included choking a female fan and arrests for harassment and assault in Hawaii.

Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, said back in August they were now seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues” and wanted “to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with[their] past behavior.”

Ryan Reynolds appeared to take the high ground with online frenemy Hugh Jackman in response to the Tony winner’s recent pleading with the Motion Picture Academy not to nominate Reynolds’ song “Good Afternoon” from Spirited.

According to Jackman, Reynolds receiving a nomination in the Oscars Best Song category “would make the next year of my life insufferable.”

He commented, “I mean, I have to spend a year with him shooting ‘Wolverine and Deadpool,’ and trust me, it would be impossible. It would be a problem.”

In an Instagrammed response Wednesday, Reynolds said, “I’m not gonna stoop to that level,” adding, “I’m gonna say right now, I loved Hugh’s performance in The Son. There’s zero sarcasm here.”

He added, “It’s literally one the best of his entire career, and his career is very impressive already. So I humbly submit Hugh for your consideration. OK.”

At this point, Reynolds attempts to stop recording, but fumbles the phone and his camera catches him saying under his breath, “Wolverine and Deadpool, who is he kidding? Not in your life, Chappie.”

The latter references the bomb Neill Blomkamp sci-fi film Jackman starred in that was released in 2015.

Despite their continuing online flame war, actual-good-friends Reynolds and Jackman will appear as, yes, Wolverine and Deadpool in 2024’s Deadpool 3, both beloved characters’ first adventure as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

To the delight of critics and viewers who made FX’s The Bear one of last season’s buzziest hits, the Hulu smash was renewed over the summer.

However, not even its newly minted Golden Globe-winning star Jeremy Allen White knows what’s on the menu for next season.

The actor, who plays Carmine “Carmy” Berzatto in the series, suspects the next go-round will pick up where the finale left off: Getting off the ground the restaurant that … bears his nickname. But even he doesn’t know for sure.

He expressed backstage, “Really and truly … I haven’t read anything. I’ve been bothering Chris [show creator Christopher Storer] out there all night to give me some scripts. He says January 15. But I think we’ll open The Bear. I mean, I think we’ll see the process of, um, of, you know, building a kitchen from the ground up.”

For a guy who plays a world-famous chef on the career rebound, however, White admits he had no real cooking experience — but the show opened his eyes to the business thanks to its technical advisers, including chef Matty Matheson and Storer’s chef sister, Courtney.

White explains, “And so I go out to eat with them, and I just try to watch their relationship to the food. But not only the food … but also the environment of a restaurant … . It was something I had never really thought about. Is it someplace you want to stay? Is it someplace you want to be? How’s the service? All these things. I just, I started looking at it in a bigger way.”

Not so surprising considering its recent Emmy wins and the three trophies it took home at the Golden Globes Tuesday night, Abbott Elementary has been renewed for its junior year.

The third season renewal of the hit school sitcom, which is currently in its second season, was announced Wednesday during ABC’s 2023 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour.

Tuesday evening, the show scored the Best Television Series honor in the Musical or Comedy category. Creator Quinta Brunson was awarded Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series and Tyler James Williams Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in the same category.

In September, Brunson picked up a trophy for Best Writing in a Comedy Series at the Emmys, which also gave the show the nods for Best Casting in a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress for Sheryl Lee Ralph.

Additionally, just hours ago, the Screen Actors Guild honored the show, Brunson and the entire Abbott ensemble with nominations for February’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Could ‘The Goonies’ finally get a sequel? Ke Huy Quan weighs in

The Goonies was a rare 1985 blockbuster that, despite its success, never got a sequel — but not for lack of trying.

The treasure-hunting adventure starred Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin, Sean Astin and Ke Huy Quan, among others, and was based on a story by Steven Spielberg and directed by the late Richard Donner. Before the pandemic, and Donner’s 2021 death, Josh Gad reunited the cast and the filmmakers virtually, with Spielberg admitting that he, Donner and screenwriter Christopher Columbus have “had a lot of conversations” about a follow-up in the decades since the movie came out. But he said they hadn’t “been able to find an idea that is better than The Goonies that we all made in the ’80s.”

That said, fans are still eager for the kinks to be worked out, so much so that Quan was asked about it Tuesday night after his Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe win for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Kwan, whose first movie was Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, noted backstage, “Well, first of all, we have the big man here tonight, Steven Spielberg. And that would be one question that I think all of us want to ask him.”

He added, “Honestly, I think they worked really hard. We had numerous scripts, but there was not one script that … felt it could … live up to what the, you know, the original was. And I really don’t know if there’s going to be a Goonies 2, but I would be open to revisiting that character Data if there is an opportunity.”

After a year away, the Golden Globes returned Tuesday night for its 80th installment, and backstage, the winners were in the mood to party.

Austin Butler, who picked up his first ever Golden Globe for playing the title role in Elvis, admitted he was still recovering from “sort of blacking out” a short time earlier, when he accepted his award. “You know, I remember going to so many auditions and never booking anything, and I just feel so grateful right now,” explained the actor, who also thanked Elvis’ family, who, “have now welcomed me into their family in such a beautiful way,” making him, “endlessly grateful to them…”

Michelle Yeoh, who took the Best Actress trophy for Everything Everywhere All at Once, was also “overwhelmed” to be picking up the honor at 60 years old — at a time when Asian representation is finally strong in Hollywood. “I’m just so happy that I’m still here when this change has happened, you know that I’m not in my rocking chair and go like, ‘Why didn’t I get that chance?'” she said.

Her co-star in Everything Everywhere, former child star Ke Huy Quan, explained how grateful he was to be recognized in the Best Supporting Actor category. “You know, for the longest time, people have come up to me and they would say, ‘Are you the kid from Indiana Jones? Are you the kid from Goonies?’ But now when I go out, people say, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re Waymond from Everything Everywhere All at Once!‘ And that was what I always hoped would happen!”

After winning her Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for her work in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Angela Bassett was asked backstage if she ever considered skipping the ceremony in light of the controversy surrounding the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The organization vowed reforms after a 2021 Los Angeles Times expose revealed, among other ethical concerns, the HFPA didn’t have a single Black member.

Backstage, Bassett, who many think is on her way to winning an Oscar for the film, addressed if she had any reservations. “No, I didn’t have any. I was, you know, just very pleased that my performance and my colleagues, cast, crew, the film, Wakanda Forever — for which I am enormously proud — was being recognized,” she said. “And I think it should be, and I think it should win everything. So I wasn’t about to, you know, stay home.”

She added, “Hollywood Foreign Press has made strides to do what they know needs to be done.”

Bassett also expressed, “…[T]onight is the beginning of that season where we celebrate our industry and our colleagues, and we embrace them with great joy. And it is our hope that people will always love…going to the movies.”
