The day before Valentine’s Day has been immortalized by Parks and Rec as Galentine’s Day. And most appropriately on this day, that show’s alumna, Amy Poehler, has announced she’s hitting the road with bestie and fellow Saturday Night Live vet Tina Fey.

The Tina Fey & Amy Poehler: Restless Leg Tour will let fans “see the duo celebrate their thirty years of friendship with an evening of jokes, iconic stories and conversational entertainment,” according to Live Nation.

The tour kicks off on Friday, April 28, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and makes stops in Chicago and Boston before wrapping up on June 10 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Presales for Tina and Amy’s Restless Leg Tour begin Wednesday, February 15, at 10 a.m. local time, including an artist presale with code RESTLESS at ticketmaster.com, ahead of general sales starting Friday, February 17, at 10 a.m. local time.

Via a short Instagram announcement, with Tina in New York City and Amy in Los Angeles, Mean Girls vet Fey quipped, “It’s gonna be an evening of comedy, conversation, improv, maybe a little slow-dancing between us. We don’t know yet. But it’s gonna be awesome.”

Poehler said to fans, “We can’t wait to see you,” adding to Fey, “I can’t wait to see you in person, buddy!”

In a press release, the pair joked, “If this tour goes right, we can finally end this friendship!”

The Farmer’s Dog Super Bowl ad ranked as this year’s best

With Super Bowl LVII in the record books, USA Today has posted its annual post-game analysis of this year’s Super Bowl commercials.

The dog food company The Farmer’s Dog’s ad ranked as tops based on the votes of Ad Meter analysts, who pored through all 51 commercials that ran during this year’s big game.

The spot, dubbed “Forever,” followed a little girl’s journey with her beloved dog, from his puppy days when she was a kid, through the pooch’s senior years, when the little girl is now a mother.

In second place was the NFL’s “Run with it” commercial, which saw sideline analyst Erin Andrews literally going the extra mile for an interview with Mexico’s nation flag football team captain Diana Flores, who dips and dodges with Andrews in tow.

Speaking of head-fakes, ranking third was another sentimental pet spot, Amazon’s “Saving Sawyer” offering. The ad showed a family bonding with their dog during lockdown, and how the dog doesn’t adjust well at all to life getting back to “normal.” When the family is shown ordering a crate, and later driving with it in the car, dog lovers think the worst for the pooch — that is, until they introduce their dog to a furry friend to keep her company.

Real-life husband and wife Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez helped Dunkin’ nab the fourth spot: “Drive Thru” has the real-life Dunkin’ fan Affleck working there, to J.Lo’s shock.

Rounding out the top five, according to the Ad Meter poll, was PopCorner’s Breaking Good ad, which reunited Breaking Bad Emmy winners Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in character, pushing chips instead of meth.

Leslie Grace reacts to the shelving of ‘Batgirl’ movie

Actress Leslie Grace is opening up about when she found out about Warner Bros.’ decision last year to shelve Batgirl, the film that would have had her starring as the titular hero and her alter ego, Barbara Gordon.

“I found out like the rest of you,” she tells Variety in her first at-length discussion of the situation. “And then my phone just started blowing up,” she adds.

Previously, her co-star Brendan Fraser, who played the villain Firefly, explained he was similarly shocked. “I thought I was getting punked, but it checked out,” he said, explaining he had to read the news for himself. “Then came hysterical laughter like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me?’…”

Warner Bros. Discovery said at the time that the film, which was initially bound for HBO Max, would be written off for tax reasons.

“That part really stung,” Fraser expressed.

Recently, DC Films co-chair Peter Safran — whose tenure with James Gunn hadn’t started when Batgirl was shelved — defended the “bold and courageous” decision. He commented to the trade, “I saw the movie, and there are a lot of incredibly talented people in front of and behind the camera on that film. But that film was not releasable … That film was not releasable.”

Grace said she took meetings with Warner Bros. execs after the decision, explaining, “They weren’t really specific on anything creative in terms of what they felt about the film and how it would’ve hurt DC creatively. But I’m a human being, and people have perceptions and people read things. And when words are expressed very lightly about work that people really dedicated a lot of time to — not just myself but the whole crew — I can understand how it could be frustrating.”

(A previous version of this story erroneously attributed some of Brendan Fraser’s comments to Leslie Grace. The text above has been updated to correct the error.)

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are reportedly still technically together amid rumors of a breakup.

People cites a source claiming that the “Bloody Valentine” rocker and the Jennifer’s Body actor “haven’t officially called off the engagement,” but added that Fox “took her ring off.”

“They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time,” the source reports, adding that the couple “had a fight over the weekend,” which left Fox “very upset.” The source also claims that Fox “won’t speak” to Kelly.

Kelly and Fox’s reps did not respond to People‘s request for comment.

Kelly and Fox began dating after working on the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass together. They confirmed their relationship after Fox starred in the 2020 video for Kelly’s song “Bloody Valentine” and got engaged in January 2022. Reports that the pair had called it quits began last weekend when Fox removed photos of her and Kelly from her Instagram account, which she later deactivated.

Amid their relationship, Kelly and Fox have made unusual headlines, including for claiming to drink each other’s blood and that Fox’s engagement ring — presumably the one she’s reportedly now taken off — had a band of thorns that makes it painful to remove.

Kelly and Fox celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement in January and attended the Grammys together earlier this month.

She adds, “When we were expecting XYZ amount of support and money to expand scenes — to do pickup shots and those kinds of things — that was a gut punch.”

Warner Bros. Discovery said at the time that the film, which was initially bound for HBO Max, would be written off for tax reasons.

Weeks after Lucasfilm dropped the movie’s official trailer comes a Super Bowl spot for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The snippet gave a few more peeks of the movie, which hits theaters June 30, including a reveal of Mads Mikkelson‘s villain, Voller.

“Have we met?” he asks Harrison Ford‘s Jones in the film’s present-day storyline, set in 1969.

“My memory’s a little fuzzy,” Indy says, before we see a younger Jones punching the baddie years ago. “You still a Nazi?” older Indy asks.

A title card reads “A legend will face his destiny” as a returning John Rhys-Davies as Sallah cheers his old friend: “Give ’em hell, Indiana Jones!”

Some elements of the Super Bowl spot have been seen before, like Jones’ horseback chase through a parade, and a death-defying car chase that has Indy diving into a moving tuk tuk in what appears to be India, but one sequence is new. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who plays Indy’s goddaughter, Helena Shaw, clings to life to the open bomb bay door of a stricken German aircraft.

Jones asks her, “What are you doing here?”

“Rescuing you!” Shaw replies.

“Hang on!” Indy says, before strapping on a parachute and grabbing her, as they both plummet to the ground.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny debuts June 30 from Lucasfilm, a subsidiary of Disney, parent company of ABC News.

Super Bowl commercials were a mix of big stars and a touch of nostalgia
Frito-Lay North America

There was no shortage of A-list celebrities in this year’s Super Bowl commercials, which also featured a bit of nostalgia.

Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper and Will Ferrell were just a few of the stars hawking everything from Pepsi Zero Sugar and T-Mobile to General Motors.

Cooper teamed up with his mom Gloria to promote T-Mobile‘s 5G network, which didn’t go quite as well as the advertiser expected. Another T-Mobile spot featured John Travolta revisiting his Danny Zuko character from Grease, with some help from Zach Braff and Donald Faison, who performed an updated version of “Summer Nights” that touted the company’s home Internet service.

Affleck showed his love for Dunkin’ by working at one of their Massachusetts locations, only to get caught by his famous wife, Jennifer Lopez, who scolds, “Is this what you do when you say you’re going to work all day?”

Ferrell helped GM spread the message that Netflix is supporting the automaker’s move toward electric vehicles by featuring more of them in the streamer’s movies and TV shows.

Rockers Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Clark Jr., Joan Jett, Billy Idol and KISSPaul Stanley were featured in an ad for the software company Workday calling out business executives for referring to themselves as “rock stars.”

Breaking Bad alums Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reprised their respective roles as chemistry teacher-turned-meth dealer Walter White and former-student-turned-apprentice Jesse Pinkman for PopCorners air-popped snack.

Halloween EndsDanny McBride demonstrated how Downey Unstoppables kept clothes fresher longer.

Melissa McCarthy took a musical tour of hotels, vacation rentals and wigs on behalf of Booking.com.

A month after M&Ms candy named Saturday Night Live alum Maya Rudolph as the new face of the company, replacing the spokescandies, we learned the move was just a gag, setting up a faux press conference in which the candies announced their return.

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania teamed up with Heinekin for a campaign that focused on drinking responsibly.

Adam Driver discovered that Squarespace is a website that makes websites in the Big Game commercial.

Steve Martin and Ben Stiller appeared in a pair of Pepsi ads demonstrating the difference between “Great Acting” and “Great Taste.”

Clueless Star Alicia Silverstone returned as Cher Horowitz in a Super Bowl Ad for Rakuten.

Amy Schumer, Doja Cat and Giannis Antetokounmpo hawked the latest version of Google’s smartphone, the Pixel.

As for the game, the Kansas City Chiefs outscored the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

Sure, the Super Bowl was a big night for football, but it was a huge night for superhero movie fans, with coming attractions for two of the most-anticipated movies of 2023.

Recently, newly-minted DC Films co-CEO James Gunn called The Flash one of the best superhero movies he’s ever seen, and the brand-new trailer shows it might not have been hyperbole.

The sneak peek shows Ezra Miller, who returns as the title character, aka Barry Allen, using his abilities to travel back in time to save his mother. But tinkering with the past never ends well, as he’s reminded by none other than Batman — or, more accurately, Batmen: Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck.

Barry’s timeline-skipping unleashes Michael Shannon‘s General Zod from 2013’s Man of Steel. “I completely broke the universe…and now there’s no one to defend us,” Allen laments.

“Want some help?” Keaton says, before revealing himself in all his Dark Knight-suited glory.

Allen stammers, “You…you are…”

“I’m Batman,” Keaton says in a callback to the 1989 classic.

The trailer also shows both Batmen doing battle, and also the introduction of Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Superman, aka Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle.

Incidentally, the trailer for Gunn’s final Guardians of the Galaxy film also dropped during the Big Game, teasing the “last ride” of Chris Pratt‘s Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldaña‘s Gamora, Bradley Cooper‘s Rocket, and the rest of their misfit “family.”

The trailer introduces the bad guy, Peacemaker veteran Chukwudi Iwujis High Evolutionary, who seeks “to create the perfect society” by subjecting living creatures, including a baby Rocket, to brutal experiments.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 debuts May 5; The Flash runs into theaters June 16.
