Neve Campbell is back in the Scream 7 official trailer.

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass released the trailer for the upcoming horror film on Thursday.

The new film follows what happens “when a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Campbell) has built a new life,” according to its official synopsis. “Her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”

The trailer starts with a couple checking in to stay at the original Scream house, which is now an Airbnb. After we see the pair get attacked by a Ghostface killer, the trailer cuts to Sidney Prescott receiving a sinister phone call.

“Hello, Sidney. Did you miss me?” The mysterious caller says. “Nice little town you’ve found. You and your pretty daughter. Reminds me of where we grew up.”

The trailer ends with a line of dialogue that fans believe sounds like franchise veteran Matthew Lillard‘s voice.

“This is gonna be fun,” the voice says.

Along with Campbell making her Scream return, this seventh film in the franchise finds Courteney Cox returning as Gale Weathers. The cast also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Ethan Embry, Timothy Simons and Mark Consuelos.

Kevin Williamson directs the film from a script he co-wrote with Guy Busick. Williamson also wrote the original 1996 Scream film.

Scream 7 comes to theaters on Feb. 27, 2026.

Hello Kitty is saying hello to Hollywood.

An animated film based on the Sanrio character is planned to release in theaters on July 21, 2028. Warner Bros. made the announcement in a post shared to Instagram on Wednesday.

“Hello Hollywood,” the studio’s caption reads. “#HelloKittyMovie is coming to theaters July 21, 2028!”

No plot details for the film have been released at this time. Director Leo Matsuda will helm the film for Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and New Line Cinema. Wicked screenwriter Dana Fox is penning the script.

Matsuda took to his Instagram Story to share excitement over the project.

“So thrilled to get to work with Hello Kitty and the most incredible team of creatives and artists. Let’s go!!!” Matsuda wrote.

This marks the first time Sanrio has granted film rights to its flagship character.

Sanrio launched Hello Kitty in 1974. Yuko Shimizu created the main character of Kitty White, who is an anthropomorphized white cat that wears a red bow. The Sanrio brand includes other popular characters, such as Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kuromi and Pompompurin.

(Netflix)

The official trailer for Stranger Things season 5 has arrived.

Netflix released the trailer, new images, and insights from the cast and creators of the series on Thursday.

Season 5 begins with a time jump. It opens in Hawkins, Indiana, in fall 1987 and finds the crew all working together to defeat the villainous Vecna and save their hometown once and for all.

The trailer shows Millie Bobby Brown‘s Eleven in a deep conversation with Finn Wolfhard‘s Mike Wheeler.

“This isn’t like one of your campaigns,” Eleven says over a montage of the crew preparing to fight Vecna. “You don’t get to write the ending. Not this time.”

We also see Vecna and many other demogorgon creatures wreaking havoc in Hawkins.

“William,” Vecna says to Noah Schnapp‘s Will Byers. “You are going to help me one last time.”

Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer explained what is unique about season 5 to Netflix’s Tudum.

“It starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of season 4. We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start,” Duffer said.

Brown said that Eleven is in training mode from the very start of the season.

“All she is thinking about is protecting her friends. Her friends are her chosen family, so she will do whatever it takes to protect them and we’re going to see that,” Brown said.

Also returning for the final season are stars Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery.

The first volume of the three-part drop of Stranger Things season 5 releases on Nov. 26. Volume II releases on Dec. 25, while the series finale debuts on Dec. 31.

Jon M. Chu teases how much of Dorothy will be in ‘Wicked: For Good’

Dorothy may be the main character of The Wizard of Oz, but Wicked: For Good director Jon M. Chu is setting the record straight on how she will factor into the musical sequel.

In a recent interview with People, Chu said that while the farm girl from Kansas does appear in Wicked: For Good, the audience will not actually see her face.

“I didn’t want to step on who you think Dorothy is in whatever story that you came into this with,” Chu said.

The director continued, saying that although the plot of Wicked: For Good overlaps with the events of The Wizard of Oz, he found it important to maintain that this film “is still Elphaba and Glinda’s journey.”

Because of this, Dorothy “is a pawn in the middle of all of it,” Chu said.

The director also teased a moment in the film that was not part of the Broadway stage production. It involves Michelle Yeoh‘s Madame Morrible involved in “an iconic moment we all know from our youth,” Chu said.

“We have this amazing moment of the tornado and how it gets conjured, which is not in the show, really,” he continued.

Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters on Nov. 21.

DreamWorks Animation has set its cast for its upcoming feature Forgotten Island.

H.E.R., Dave Franco, Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, Liza Soberano and Lea Salonga have joined the voice cast of the new animated film.

While the plot of the upcoming film was previously unknown, the animation studio has revealed a logline that asks the question: “What if your lifelong best friend just forgot all about you? Forgot all the love, the joy, the pain, all of the memories and experiences you once shared?”

The upcoming film will follow two best friends who become stranded in a fantastical world of the forgotten island of Nakali where the only way to escape comes at the expense of a lifetime of their memories.

Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado are both the writers and directors of the film. Mark Swift serves as its producer. This will be the third collaboration between Crawford and Swift, after making Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Croods: A New Age together. Mercado makes his directorial debut with this film.

Forgotten Island is set to arrive in theaters on Sept. 25, 2026.

Adam Driver is making his return to TV.

The actor is set to star in the hostage thriller series Rabbit, Rabbit for Netflix. The streaming service has given a straight-to-series order for the upcoming MRC show in what it described to be a highly competitive pursuit with other distributors.

The show follows what happens “when an escaped convict is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop,” according to its official logline. The convict “takes hostages in an effort to bargain for his freedom. But the standoff soon escalates into an unmanageable social experiment with his captives, as well as an emotional poker match with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator trained in ‘tactical empathy.'”

In addition to starring, Driver will executive produce the series alongside its creator and showrunner, Peter Craig, and its director, Philip Barantini. The latter also directed the Netflix hit Adolescence.

Driver is best known for playing Kylo Ren/Ben Solo in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. He has been nominated for two Oscars, one for his role in Spike Lee‘s BlacKkKlansman and the other for Netflix’s 2019 drama Marriage Story. As far as his TV work goes, he was nominated three consecutive times at the Emmys for his breakout role in Lena Dunham‘s HBO series Girls.

You can stop making Lord of the Rings films about Frodo, but you can’t kick Elijah Wood out of the shire.

The actor recently visited the set of The Lord of the Rings‘ Shire during a trip to New Zealand. During his visit, he surprised a couple who were in the middle of their wedding ceremony.

A video of the surprise interaction was recently shared to the official Hobbiton TikTok. Hobbiton is the name of The Shire set in Matamata, New Zealand, which Wood’s character, Frodo Baggins, called home.

“POV: You’re getting married in The Shire and an unexpected guest crashes your wedding…” the text on top of the video reads.

The video shows the ceremony taking place as Wood arrives with a small group of camera operators documenting the surprise. As Wood presents himself at the end of the aisle, both the bride and groom exclaim, “Oh my God.”

Wood posed for photos with the newlyweds at the altar. As he looked out into the crowd of attendees, he said, “This is amazing, and everyone is dressed as hobbits!”

“Thank you so much for coming,” the groom said to Wood before the latter posed for a selfie.

“An unforgettable wedding in The Shire…” Hobbiton captioned the TikTok.

Peter Jackson‘s first film in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring, began filming almost 26 years ago to the month. The trilogy was an adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s classic fantasy novels.

Daniel Radcliffe is making his way back to Broadway.

The Tony Award winner is set to star in the Broadway premiere of the solo play Every Brilliant Thing.

The play follows a man who looks back at his life and details the glimmers of hope that carried him through. Its story is told in the form of a list of all of the things that make life worth living. Duncan Macmillan wrote the play with Jonny Donahoe. This production will be directed by Macmillan and Jeremy Herrin.

Every Brilliant Thing tackles some serious subject matter, but the overall experience is one of joy and celebration,” Macmillan said. “Every performance is unique and unpredictable and it requires virtuosic skill from its central performer. When Daniel told us how much he loved the play, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. He has the intelligence, quick-wit and charm to roll with the spontaneous moments that the show invites – he can be a clown one moment, then grab you by the heartstrings the next. He has huge depth and humanity. I can’t wait to get started.”

The show will play for a limited 13-week engagement at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre. Previews begin on Feb. 21, 2026, while opening night will be on March 12. The show will run through May 24.

Fans can register now for the exclusive 24-hour presale, which will begin on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. ET.

Radcliffe won his Tony for his performance in the 2023 revival of Stephen Sondheim‘s Merrily We Roll Along. The filmed version of that Broadway production is set to release in theaters worldwide on Dec. 5.
