(NOTE LANGUAGE) Like the heroes he’s played on screen, Arnold Schwarzenegger is unflinching when looking back at his life in the new trailer of the Netflix documentary Arnold.

As most know, Schwarzenegger grew up poor in Graz, Austria, a child of an officer serving on the wrong side of World War II. Through sheer determination — and, to be fair, a whole lot of sweat equity — he took the bodybuilding world by storm before conquering Hollywood.

Looking for a new challenge, he ran an upstart campaign and — nearly just as far-fetched as fame — was elected as a Republican in deep blue California. “I want to do the things that everyone calls impossible,” he says.

While the trailer is essentially a highlight reel of his life, it doesn’t shy away from the controversies, too, like his admission that he’d fathered a son with one of his household staffers, leading to his divorce from Maria Shriver. “People remember my success, but they will also remember my failures,” he admits.

He adds, “It was very tough on my marriage, on my relationship with the kids. I have caused enough pain for my family. I’m gonna have to live with it for the rest of my life.”

Ending on a hopeful note, Schwarzenegger encourages the audience to follow their impossible dreams: “No matter what it takes, work your a** off. Do it. Do it now!”

The three-part doc drops on June 7.

On Wednesday, Marvel Studios dropped a behind-the-scenes featurette for its forthcoming series Secret Invasion, coming to Disney+ on June 21.

The sneak peek has the series’ star-studded cast — returning Marvel Cinematic Universe players Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Cobie Smulders and Ben Mendelsohn, as well as franchise newcomers Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman — talking about the show.

Secret Invasion centers on the shape-shifting aliens known as the Skrulls, who have been impersonating people and generally causing havoc.

A colleague tells Martin Freeman‘s former CIA agent Everett Ross, “Five global terror threats within the past year. Each one claimed by a different group.

Ross replies, “It’s business as usual.”

“That’s precisely what they want you to think!” the man replies.

Smulders, who reprises as Maria Hill, explains, “Nick Fury has been off-planet, and Maria Hill has been trying to … maintain order. But this current threat is getting out of control.”

“Fury, we have to be very careful,” Mendelsohn’s alien ally Talos warns him.

Jackson explains of the show, “Nick comes back having lost whatever power he had before. So we try to solve things without things being too superhuman.”

Academy Award and Emmy winner Colman expresses, “After every Marvel film released, I’d phone my agent and say, ‘Please can I be in a Marvel thing?!’ I never imagined it would happen.”

“What makes you think you can get him to speak?” a henchman asks her character about a tied-up suspect.

Her Special Agent Sonya Falsworth answers cheerily, “Oh, I can be quite persuasive.”

The trailer ends with Jackson saying defiantly, “I’m Nick Fury. Even when I’m out, I’m in!”

Spicy: Trailer debuts for director Eva Longoria’s Cheetos origin story ‘Flamin’ Hot’
Searchlight Pictures

Searchlight Pictures has debuted the trailer to director Eva Longoria‘s Flamin’ Hot, movie that tells the tale of Richard Montañez, the Frito Lay custodian who claims to have invented the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos recipe “that disrupted the food industry and became a global pop culture phenomenon.”

While in 2021 Frito Lay officially disputed the snack’s origins, the trailer shows Jesse Garcia as the Mexican-American Montañez, who says at the open, “We all write our own stories … This is mine.”

“I have a PhD,” he eagerly tells a manager (Matt Walsh). “I’m poor, hungry and determined, sir.”

Inspired by the chili powder Mexicans add to corn, he sought to make a spicy version of the popular snack. He is shown pitching his idea to company executives as a way to appeal to the Latino market, and the rest is history.

The film debuts on Hulu and Disney+ June 9.

Apple TV+

Tom Holland is opening up about his mental health journey as it relates to his latest role.

The Crowded Room, which premieres June 9 on Apple TV+, and is inspired by a true story and the ensuing 1981 novel The Minds of Billy Milligan, stars the Spider-Man actor as Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following a 1979 shooting in New York City.

The real-life crime story dealt with dissociative identity disorder; Billy Milligan blamed his alternate personalities for his crimes.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Holland, who also executive produced the project, says it is “an insight into … the ways in which we can deal with trauma.”

“I’m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job doing the whole action-movie thing,” he told the outlet. “But the mental aspect, it really beat me up and it took a long time for me to recover afterwards, to sort of get back to reality.”

Holland said he had “a bit of a meltdown at home” because he felt the need to “get rid of this character.” “I was seeing myself in him, but in my personal life.”

Tom said, “It was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.”

The interview mentions Holland is one year and four months sober, though it does not mention what substance he was using.

“Learning about mental health and the power of it, and speaking to psychiatrists about Danny and Billy’s struggles, has been something that has been so informative to my own life,” he said.

Holland said he’s made strides in “recognizing triggers” for himself and pinpointing “things that stress me out.”

The actor said he hopes viewers will “have more respect and more sympathy for people who are going through mental health issues” because of The Crowded Room.

Quinta Brunson says fashion is an “extension of me”

Quinta Brunson says fashion is an “extension of me”
Rosaline Shahnavaz for InStyle

Quinta Brunson flaunted different fashion looks during awards show season, but says before meeting stylist Bryon Javar it wasn’t easy to find someone who understood her or was willing to dress her frame.

“Not only am I 4-foot-11, [but] I’m 4-foot-11 with breasts and a butt. And that’s just the cardinal sin: to be short and have the nerve to have any type of curve,” she tells InStyle. “Before working with Bryon, there were times where I would work with other stylists and I just have to be like, ‘I’m not this young,’ or ‘this feels too young for me.’ And it would be like, ‘No, you can pull it off.’ And I was like, ‘But it’s not about pulling it off. It’s about what I want to represent when I come to certain award shows or certain events I have to do.'”

“I want to make sure I can convey who I am through what I wear,” the star continued, adding fashion is a way for her to show who she is without talking.

Quinta learned to love her body thanks to her experience as a trained dancer. As a woman with curves, she thought it’d be fitting to include some others in her show Abbott Elementary.

“This is a mockumentary, I feel they do better when you have people who look more familiar,” she says. “I wanted to portray people who looked real. And that inherently comes with, in my opinion, women who have curves.”

Though she knows she may upset people, she embraces Beyoncé‘s “I was born free” lyric in “Church Girl,” noting, “This is starting to really be my ministry. I was born free. I can do what I want.”

Tom Cruise and Shakira sparked dating rumors over the weekend when they were photographed together at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, according to Page Six.

“He is extremely interested in pursuing her,” and even sent her flowers, a source tells the outlet.

“There’s chemistry,” adds the insider.

The romance rumors follow Shakira’s split from her longtime boyfriend Gerard Piqué last June amid allegations he was cheating on her with his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” says the source, adding that the 60-year-old Top Gun: Maverick star is “a nice-looking guy, and he is talented.”

“And she isn’t taller than him,” joked the source, noting that Cruise is 5-foot-7, while the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer is 5-foot-2.

Shakira, 46, and Piqué were together for 12 years and share two children: Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10.

Jonathan Majors appears in court for domestic violence charges

ABC

Jonathan Majors appeared in court via Zoom on Tuesday regarding the status of his ongoing assault case.

According to an updated complaint unsealed on Tuesday, Majors, 33, allegedly pulled his girlfriend’s finger, grabbed her arm and struck her with his hand.

While the complaint updates the underlying basis for the charges, the charges themselves remain the same. They include assault, attempted assault and aggravated harassment.

Majors has not entered a plea, though in a statement issued by his lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, he clearly disputes the charges.

“We have provided the District Attorney with irrefutable evidence that the woman is lying, including video proof showing nothing happened, especially not where she claimed,” Chaudhry writes in the statement. “We did this with the explicit promise from the DA that they would not ‘fix’ their case and change it as we proved the woman is lying.”

“Yet this false case continues, the woman’s claimed location shifts, and her story morphs. This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims,” the statement continues. “Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman’s clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman’s new lies. To be clear, there are no new charges against Mr. Majors.”

Chaudhry goes on to claim they have obtained “even more video evidence of his innocence, but we are hesitant to share it, for fear the DA will tip the woman off to change her story again.”

Chaudhry also accused prosecutors of racial bias in the case and reiterated that her team has provided investigators with video evidence that allegedly exonerates Majors.

The next court hearing for this case is scheduled for June 13.

Warner Bros. has apparently summoned Beetlejuice back to the land of the living.

Variety says the studio will reunite Michael Keaton with director Tim Burton for a sequel to the 1988 classic — and Burton will be directing the star of his hit Netflix show Wednesday, Jenna Ortega, in the lead role, to boot.

The trade also notes that Winona Ryder will be back to reprise her role as onetime goth girl icon Lydia Deetz, with Ortega playing her daughter.

The project will hit theaters September 6, 2024, and Wednesday creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will be writing the script, according to the trade.

The 1988 film had Keaton playing the horny human haunter who is summoned by a recently deceased couple (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) to rid their beloved country home of a yuppie family from the city.

But they get more than they bargained for with Keaton’s character, who unfortunately takes a shine to the still-living family’s depressed teen daughter Lydia, who befriends the friendly ghosts.
