Canadian actor and comedian Tom Green was a hot Hollywood commodity back in the day, and now with a trio of new Prime Video projects, he will be back in the spotlight.

The streamer announced the three Canadian Original projects, starring and directed by Green, including a stand-up special, a documentary about his career and a reality series about his life now.

Tom Green Country is the latter project, which follows him as he “pulls up stakes and relocates from the bright lights of Hollywood to a simpler life on his newly purchased country farm” in the Great White North.

“Joined by his 1,500-pound mule, a donkey and six chickens the reality series gives a heartwarming glimpse into the hilarious life on the farm – as only Tom Green can,” Prime Video teases.

Both the comedy special and the documentary are as yet untitled.

The stand-up special “captures the iconic comedian’s most recent 40+ city comedy tour across North America. From his hometown show in Ottawa, Canada, to stages across the US, Tom Green showcases his willingness to take risks, push boundaries and his ability to blend humor with heart.”

Prime Video says the documentary follows the ups and downs of the Road Trip star’s career “as a trailblazing influence on comedy, film, television, and internet culture.”

The streamer adds, “With thousands of hours of digitalized personal footage, rare episodes, and unseen raw footage [of] past series and film, the documentary captures the early days of his humble beginnings in Canada, to stardom in Hollywood, as he goes full circle and returns to his roots moving from his LA home to a rural farm in the country.”

The cast and crew of The Walking Dead are well acquainted with onscreen death, but a real one made them stop and pay tribute: Seven, the Belgian Malinois who played Daryl Dixon’s faithful dog, Dog, has crossed the rainbow bridge.

The hit AMC show’s Instagram posted a photo of the famous pooch in profile, captioning it, “Rest in peace, Seven. #TWD’s best boy.”

Norman Reedus, who plays Dixon, mourned the pup with an Instagram Story showing photos of Seven with members of the cast on set — and just him alone, bonding with the dog off camera. “Gonna miss u seven,” Reedus wrote alongside a broken heart emoji, adding, “Best TV buddy ever.”

ABC Audio has confirmed that Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller will be putting on the Navy uniform once again for a “modern update” of the 1982 Oscar-winning romantic drama An Officer and a Gentleman.

The original starred Richard Gere as a United States Navy aviation candidate who falls for a local woman (Debra Winger) and who is shaped into an officer by a no-nonsense drill Marine Corps drill instructor, who was played by the late Louis Gossett Jr. It was a performance that won Gossett a Best Supporting Actor Oscar, making him the first Black actor to win the award.

Directed by Taylor Hackford, the modestly budgeted movie became a blockbuster, with six Academy Award nominations in total — including an Oscar nomination for Winger and a win for Best Original Song, for “Up Where We Belong,” sung by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes.

Dana Fox, a veteran of the romantic comedies 27 Dresses and The Wedding Date, wrote the latest screenplay for the updated version, following writer Matt Johnson‘s original draft, Paramount explains.

Temple Hill, the company behind the Twilight films, First Man and more, is producing.

Viewers watch them try cases in court on TV wearing dapper suits and boasting other finery, but how much would your favorite fictional lawyers make IRL?

That’s just what digital marketing experts at Hennessey Digital wanted to know, and apparently Harvey Specter, Gabriel Macht‘s character from the streaming-reborn hit Suits, tops them all.

The company analyzed data from job site Glassdoor to determine each character’s average salary in 2024, based on their job title and location.

With that in mind, Harvey would be pulling in an average salary of at least $1,437,000 in 2024, according to its analysis.

Second place belonged to Chuck McGill and Howard Hamlin aka Bob Odenkirk and Patrick Fabian from Better Call Saul. They are co-CEOs of Albuquerque-based law firm Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill, according to the hit series, and they’d be pulling in some $758,000 in 2024.

Third place in the ranking was a tie: Both Patrick J. AdamsSuits character Mike Ross and Cynthia Nixon‘s Miranda Hobbs from Sex and the City are NYC-based lawyers who would make at least $462,500 a year in 2024 — which isn’t half bad, seeing as Mike lied about going to law school.

Fourth place went to Viola DavisAnnalise Keating from ABC’s hit How to Get Away with Murder. The law professor and criminal defense attorney would pull in around $372,000 a year in 2024.

Rounding out the top five: Jennifer Walters, Tatiana Maslany‘s character from Marvel’s Disney+ series She-Hulk. As a criminal defense attorney and civil litigator in Los Angeles, she’d be making just shy of $300K a year.

Of course, Walters also has the added perk of being able to turn into a leggy green rage monster from her superhero side-gig.

Victoria Monét has lent her voice to a song for the new Disney+ Star Wars series The Acolyte. Written alongside producer D’Mile and composer Michael Abels, “Power of Two,” an end-credit song, will come out on Friday.

The song title is both a callback to a chant from a coven of witches in the series, which was heard in the most recently dropped third episode, and also to the fact that Amandla Stenberg plays twin sisters in the show.

“Having my song be a part of the classic Star Wars franchise via The Acolyte is such an honor and I’m thrilled for everyone to hear it when they see how it ties into the overall storyline!” Victoria said in a statement. “D’Mile and I had a great time making the song and hope the world loves it as much as we do.”

The Acolyte follows as “an investigation into a shocking crime spree” that “pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg),” a press release reads. “As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”

Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto and Carrie-Anne Moss also star in the series.

Lucasfilm is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

Disney/Pixar

It’s Anxiety vs. Joy in the new Inside Out sequel. Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 hits theaters Friday, and among the new emotions in 13-year-old Riley’s head is Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, who is wrestling for control with Joy, once again voiced by Amy Poehler.

Hawke tells ABC Audio that when the first film came out, she was 15 and it gave her new language to talk about her feelings. “It had lots of things that mirrored my own childhood, and I was really working on trying to figure out how to be less emotionally destructive and more emotionally communicative,” she reveals.

“Like, I’m not feeling understood, but how can I better communicate so that I am — not just be like, ‘Nobody understands me!’ And I think that this movie did a great job of giving us tools.”

She adds that when she was Riley’s age, “Sadness and Anxiety were at the wheel in that period of time.”

She says, “Like, you know, and even the version of Anxiety that’s excitement, because there is excitement that’s like, ‘Oh my God, it’s Riley’s big game. Oh, this is so exciting. Oh my God. OK, now we’ve got to plan for all the things to go wrong,’ and then … you get home and you’re just like, ‘Ohh.'”

Hawke adds, “It was not my favorite time in my life.”

Poehler tells ABC Audio that when she was 13, one emotion was dominating her mental space. “Well, hairspray was a big emotion, just using it and getting it.”

She adds, “I don’t know. It was [an emotion] in Boston in 1985,” she said of her offbeat answer.

“My head was very crowded, just like Riley,” the SNL vet admits.
