Lisa Kudrow is going down memory lane.

The actress, who starred as Phoebe Buffay on Friends for 10 seasons, never used to watch reruns of the show in fear of not liking her performance.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, however, Kudrow shared she has started revisiting old episodes of the NBC sitcom in order to keep the memory of her late costar Matthew Perry alive.

“Honestly, I wasn’t able to watch it because it’s too embarrassing to watch yourself. But if I make it about Matthew, then that’s okay,” Kudrow said. “And it’s just celebrating how hilarious he was — and that is what I want to remember [about him].”

Kudrow also reminisced about her favorite memory from making Friends.

“You’re just laughing all day long, basically, in between the scenes, because these are funny people. And especially someone like Matthew whose goal was: How many laughs can I get in real life every day? So we were always laughing so hard, tears were flying out of our faces,” Kudrow said.

The actress was also asked how she hopes the world will remember Perry, who died on Oct. 28, 2023, at age 54 from acute effects of ketamine.

“I think the world is remembering him the way he wanted to be remembered,” Kudrow said. “I think that’s happening [already].”

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has shared new details about the upcoming film The Fantastic Four.

While appearing on The Official Marvel Podcast, Feige confirmed the highly anticipated film will be set in the 1960s.

“It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol. There was a cityscape in that image,” Feige said. “There were a lot of smart people who noticed that that cityscape didn’t look exactly like the New York that we know or the New York that existed in the ’60s in our world. Those are smart observations, I’ll say.”

The film, which stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn as the titular crew, will begin filming on July 29, the Monday after San Diego Comic-Con, Feige revealed.

“Our director, Matt Shakman, has already moved to London, and we start filming at the end of July. Funny story, we start shooting the Monday after Comic-Con,” Feige said. “We start filming the day after on Fantastic Four.”

Feige also expressed his excitement in finally getting to tell the stories of these popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Those characters are mainstays, are legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe that we’ve never gotten to play with or explore in any significant way apart from [Doctor Strange in the] Multiverse of Madness and a few fun teases before, in the way we’re doing that film. So, I’m extremely excited,” Feige said.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled to release on July 25, 2025.

Diane von Furstenberg on getting vulnerable in her new Hulu documentary

Fashion icon, feminist and activist Diane von Furstenberg‘s life is put on display in the new documentary Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge.

Now available to stream on Hulu, the film finds von Furstenberg opening up about her life and career in an unprecedented way. During a global press conference held at the designer’s New York City headquarters the day of the film’s Tribeca Festival premiere on June 5, von Furstenberg told ABC Audio she had a bit of fear about sharing as much as she did.

“If it wasn’t inspirational, I didn’t want to do it,” she said. “My fear really came … the last five weeks since I saw the movie. First I saw the movie and I laughed, but laughing for me is a defense system. And then I felt like I was at the gynecologist for 90 minutes. And then after that I freaked out a little bit. But what I feared the most is that people would say, ‘Who the f*** is she saying she is?’ [But] if it is inspirational, then it’s worth it.”

Ultimately, von Furstenberg said the documentary is about embracing one’s vulnerability.

“It’s not an aggressive statement. It’s a commitment to yourself,” von Furstenberg said. “It’s owning who you are. We own our imperfection, they become our assets. We own our vulnerability, we turn it into strength.”

(NEW YORK) — The investigation into the ketamine supplied to actor Matthew Perry before his untimely death in October is nearing its end, and it will soon be up to the U.S. Attorney’s Office to decide if multiple people could be charged as a result, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

The U.S. attorney could also refer the case back to state prosecutors if they do not choose to file federal charges.

The investigation has been ongoing since Perry’s death and includes the LAPD, Drug Enforcement Administration, USPS and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. USPS’s inclusion in the investigation may indicate that drugs or payments were sent by mail at some stage.

Perry died on Oct. 28, 2023, at the age of 54 after he was discovered unresponsive in his jacuzzi. An autopsy revealed he died from the acute effects of ketamine.

The autopsy listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors not related to the immediate cause of death. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

Perry had high levels of ketamine in his blood, likely lapsed into unconsciousness and then went under water, according to the autopsy.

Perry was known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom “Friends,” which ran from 1994 to 2004.

Gardiner will serve as showrunner and executive producer on this new story taking place inside the wizarding world, while Mylod will direct multiple episodes and also executive produce.

The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White is expected to play Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming movie Deliver Me From Nowhere, and it sounds like fans may find out if he has any of his own singing chops.

When asked by Variety if he plans to do his own singing in the film, White shared, “We’re gonna try. We’re gonna try our best.”

White seemed to suggest that him playing Springsteen isn’t a done deal, and until then he doesn’t seem ready to meet The Boss.

“We’ve communicated a little bit through some other people, but I hope this still all comes together,” White said. “We’ve still got a few things, we’ve got some timing stuff to work out, and I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man, too.”

He adds, “I wanna try to have an understanding, so when I meet him, I’ll have a bit of confidence somewhere in me to stand there.”

Deliver Me From Nowhere, based on Warren Zanes‘ book Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska, follows Springsteen’s efforts to make his solo album Nebraska.

Released on Sept. 30, 1982, Nebraska featured 10 acoustic songs Springsteen originally recorded as demos on a four-track recorder. Springsteen had planned to rerecord the songs with The E Street Band but instead opted to release it as a solo acoustic record. It featured such songs as “Atlantic City,” “Johnny 99” and “State Trooper.”

Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, who both starred in the 1994 Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, are reuniting for a new project.

This fall, the actors will star in the drama Here, by director Robert Zemeckis, which is based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire.

“The story travels through generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form,” according to a description of the project. “Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here.”

First-look photos for the film show Hanks and Wright on set with Zemeckis. New stills from the film show Hanks and Wright as younger and older versions of themselves at different stages in life.

One image shows Hanks and Wright as a young couple at their small wedding with family and friends, which is being held in a small living room.

Another image shows a younger Hanks and Wright embracing, while another shows Wright’s character celebrating her 50th birthday party with Hanks’ character and loved ones all around.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Zemeckis talked about how traditional makeup effects and digital de-aging effects helped achieve the different versions of Hanks and Wright across different eras of life.

The director has used similar techniques in his past films, including The Polar Express, Beowulf and A Christmas Carol.

Here is expected to arrive in theaters on Nov. 15, 2024.
