Demi Moore‘s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle co-stars are proud of her for her work in The Substance.

The actress, who is Oscar-nominated for her performance in the Coralie Fargeat [fahr-ZHAH]-directed film, had a virtual reunion with Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu for Vanity Fair, in which they discussed The Substance, their connection to the film’s themes and more.

The Substance follows Moore as Elisabeth Sparkle, a former A-list celebrity past her prime. When she turns 50, she’s fired from her TV aerobics show, and is then offered a black market drug that promises to transform her into a much younger version of herself. Of course, it comes with unforeseen side effects.

Moore said that the script for The Substance came at a pivotal time for her.

“I felt like I didn’t belong and that perhaps my time was complete,” Moore said. “I wasn’t feeling meaningful work was coming, and I didn’t feel like I needed to work to work, my own success didn’t drive me. And I felt a grief at this idea that it was like, ‘Is this done?'”

Diaz, who said she was moved by the film, spoke about its complex layers — specifically the theme about the objectification of women.

She said of Moore’s performance, “In watching you give this performance, you don’t have to ask anybody’s permission.”

Liu echoed Diaz and told Moore, “You’ve always had it in you and in all of the work that you’ve done. There’s so much vulnerability in the strength that you are able to put on camera.”

“Thank you for making this movie,” Diaz added. “…[T]he layers are just being peeled back. It’s just a big onion and I’m excited to keep the conversation going wherever we can.”

What, like it’s hard?

Reese Witherspoon famously played law student Elle Woods in the film Legally Blonde, and in a recent interview on The Graham Norton Show, she revealed members of a jury she was on thought she was a lawyer in real life.

“It was after Legally Blonde. It was probably like seven years after Legally Blonde, I got called for jury duty and it was in Beverly Hills,” Witherspoon said. “I thought, ‘Surely they’re not gonna pick me.’ They picked me for a long trial, y’all. It was probably two weeks. I was on the jury.”

Witherspoon shared she went in for jury duty every day for a solid two weeks. The actress said she got very invested in the case, which had to do with someone suing a dog owner after the dog bit her hand.

“We went every day and then we went to deliberation and so at the very end they say, ‘OK, well somebody in this group has to be the foreman’ and they all unanimously are like, ‘Her,’” Witherspoon said.

The actress shared her fellow jury members selected her to be foreman because “you went to law school.”

“I was like, ‘Y’all this is really upsetting. I definitely did not go to law school, I didn’t finish college,’” Witherspoon said. “I played a lawyer in a movie once but they fully made me the foreman and I started realizing people don’t know much about the law.”

We have new details about Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming adaptation of Homer‘s epic, The Odyssey.

The film, which has a star-studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal, will partly film in Sicily. Variety first reported the location news on Monday. The Italian island was, according to scholars, a location during Odysseus’ journey in the world-famous text.

Filming in Sicily will take place on the island Favignana, otherwise known as goat island, believed to be the location where Homer envisioned Odysseus landing with his crew.

Other announced locations for the shoot include the U.K. and Morocco.

The Odyssey, of course, tells the story of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, and his 10-year journey of returning home to his wife, Penelope, after the Trojan War.

The White Lotus season 3 has a new action-packed and highly ominous trailer.

The dramedy, which is returning for its third chapter of vacation misadventures, received an official trailer on Monday displaying the new Thai resort setting for the show.

The trailer for the HBO show stars Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Thai musician Lalisa Manobal, known as Lisa, and more.

“Our hotel is the best in the world, at the end of the week, you will be an entirely different person,” a host says, welcoming the new guests to the Thai resort and setting up an eerie foreshadow.

The trailer shows each party’s initial reactions to the resort, including Natasha Rothwell, who also starred in season 1 as a spa manager, arriving to the island looking to learn more about her trade; Bibb, Coon and Monaghan on an apparent girls trip; and Posey arriving with Jason Isaacs.

Midway through the trailer, the stakes are intensified as crime becomes an issue on the island and the resort must beef up security.

The new season will also star Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.

The series, which was recently renewed for a season 4, is created, written and directed by Mike White.

The White Lotus season 3, which consists of eight episodes, premieres Feb. 16 on HBO and streams on Max.

The trailer and premiere date for The Baldwins has arrived.

On Monday, TLC released the first trailer for the documentary series about Alec Baldwin, his wife, Hilaria, and their children. The new series will debut on the network on Feb. 23. New episodes will stream the next day on Max.

The show, which will follow the Baldwin family’s adventures in New York City, “blends the highs and lows of family life, with the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye,” according to a press release.

One of those lows could be the involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec after a gun he was holding while filming the Western movie Rust discharged back in October 2021, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The topic is addressed in the new trailer.

“A son lost his mom in the most unthinkable tragedy. This is never something to forget, and we’re trying to parent through it,” Hilaria says, before an emotional Alec almost breaks into tears.

“Honestly, from the bottom of my soul, I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have you and these kids,” Alec then tells Hilaria.

The premiere episode finds the Baldwins celebrating their oldest son Rafael‘s ninth birthday. They travel to East Hampton for their yearly summer tradition, but while they celebrate, emotional complexities loom as Alec prepares to face trial.

“This series gives viewers a glimpse into our lives as a family — the good, bad, wild, and everything in between. We hope viewers will connect with our experiences and the love we share. Filming the show has been an amazing journey, and we’re proud to have TLC as a partner in telling our story,” Alec and Hilaria said in a press release.
