Owen Wilson is a former pro golfer in the new sports comedy Stick.
The series premiered Wednesday on Apple TV+. It stars Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a man who hedges his future on a 17-year-old golfer he thinks may just be the next big thing.
Podcaster and actor Marc Maron also stars as Pryce’s best friend, Mitts. Maron tells ABC Audio he hadn’t met Wilson before starring alongside him in the show.
“We’re kind of the same age and we’ve both been through some stuff,” Maron said. “We’re just very different types of people and I think that the characters are not that unlike us.”
He wasn’t worried if they would get along or not, he just hoped they could play believable best friends.
“The only thing that was not known was whether or not we were going to be—to feel—emotionally connected as a couple of guys that have known each other for decades,” Maron said.
After they shot their first scene together, Maron said, “It became pretty apparent that it just wasn’t gonna be a problem.”
“Picking up on each other’s rhythms for comedic purposes was, it was just sort of natural,” Maron said.
Even though he hadn’t met Wilson before, he knew his movies. Because of that, Maron said it felt like he did sort of know him before shooting, in his own way.
“Cause you know that guy,” Maron said. “If you watched his movies, you kind of know what you’re dealing with. And, you know, it just worked out. We got along well on screen and off.”

We also see Ariana Grande‘s Glinda, Michelle Yeoh‘s Madame Morrible and Jonathan Bailey‘s Fiyero, and hear clips of songs including “No Good Deed” and “For Good,” the latter of which gives the movie its title.
Wicked: For Good, directed by Jon M. Chu, premieres in theaters on Nov. 21.
Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood have addressed their supposed feud, saying it never existed in the first place.
The White Lotus co-stars sat down with Variety for an interview about the public suspicion they do not get along. In the article, the actors addressed rumors that began to circulate after Goggins refused to talk about Wood in a cover story for The Times of London back in May.
“There is no feud. I adore, I love this woman madly, and she is so important to me,” Goggins said. “She is love and I know that I am that to her. We care about each other very deeply.”
Goggins told Variety he did not want to speak about Wood during The Times interview because he didn’t think it would be fair to speak about her without her present.
Wood also got the chance to talk about Goggins unfollowing her on Instagram.
“I think it’s such a comment on where we’re at culturally. Why is everyone obsessing over Instagram? That is irrelevant,” Wood said.
Goggins said he unfollowed Wood as his way of letting go of his White Lotus character.
“I knew what we had gone through, and I knew how close that we had gotten, and I needed to begin to process saying goodbye,” Goggins said. “And I knew that that was going to take a while for me, so I let her know, this is what I’ve gotta do. And she was extremely supportive about that.”
Goggins ended the interview by re-following Wood on Instagram.
“It’s all so ridiculous,” Goggins said. “It’s just a part of me just saying goodbye to this character so that now Aimee and I will be friends for f****** ever.”
Zoe Saldaña won her first Oscar back in March. Three months after the awards ceremony, the actress is opening up about what happened backstage during the ceremony.
“It was all beginning to become a blur, it was such a beautiful journey leading up to the Oscars. I don’t think I was there as myself [that day], my 13-year-old self was there,” Saldaña said while appearing on Live with Kelly & Mark on Wednesday.
Saldaña said after she gave her acceptance speech she became sick backstage.
“I collapsed right after. I lost my voice within an hour after I won the award,” Saldaña said. “I couldn’t stand on those heels that I had. All I wanted to do was crawl in bed and maybe cry. I don’t know why, I needed to cry.”
According to Saldaña, her body was running on pure adrenaline, and that’s what led to her feeling ill.
“Your immune system is in optimal condition, but once, you know, you tell your body that it’s over, then everything sort of collapses.”
Russell Crowe will star alongside Jacob Tremblay and Shailene Woodley in the upcoming Netflix film Unabom.
Unabom, which is currently in production, is a new thriller about the domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski. Janus Metz directs the film, which will star Tremblay as a young Kaczynski and Crowe as controversial Harvard professor Henry Murray.
The film follows the transformation of Kaczynski from Harvard prodigy to the infamous Unabomber. After he’s “subjected to controversial psychological experiments by Professor Henry Murray, Kaczynski’s troubled past resurfaces decades later,” according to Netflix.
Woodley will play FBI agent Joanne Miller, who led the manhunt for Kaczynski, while Annabelle Wallis will play Christina Morgan, Murray’s academic partner and the co-director of the Harvard Psychological Clinic.
The film’s title comes from the FBI’s code name for the Kaczynski case, which was Unabom, standing for UNiversity and Airline BOMbing.
Metz told Netflix he was fascinated by how the hunt for the Unabomber “was the FBI’s longest and most expensive operation to date.”
“But what really drew me in was the story about Ted Kaczynski’s years at Harvard when he was a young math student. This was a side to the story I didn’t know about; it helps uncover a very dark chapter in American history,” Metz said.
The choice to select Tremblay to play Kaczynski came after the pair had their first conversation.
“Jacob Tremblay is an immensely talented young actor,” Metz said. “He has a sensitivity that feels perfect for my vision of Ted when he was a young student at Harvard. There’s a vulnerability and intelligence to Jacob’s look and performance that this story needs.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger is proud of his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, following his performance in The White Lotus.
The father-son duo, were featured in Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” issue, talked about acting and more, including Patrick Schwarzenegger’s most recent role in season 3 of The White Lotus.
“Everyone is coming up to me in the gym and saying, ‘Your son is fantastic,'” Arnold Schwarzenegger said. “Someone else comes up to me and says, ‘I hated your son in the series.'”
The Terminator actor continued, saying, “Hated him? What kind of compliment is that? They said, ‘He was fantastic, but the character he played was so believable.'”
Patrick Schwarzenegger replied and said, following The White Lotus, his biggest learning experience was “how much people associate you with your character.”
“The first weeks, people came up to me and told me how much they hated me,” he said. “By the end of it, they came up to me saying how much they felt bad for me. It was a roller coaster.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger went on to tell his son that he was “blown away” by his performance in the hit HBO Max show.
“Your acting surprised the hell out of me,” he told his son. “I didn’t recognize you.”
The duo drew a parallel between their acting journeys and realized they both had done nude scenes. Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled doing the opening scene in The Terminator naked, and his son mentioned a scene from The White Lotus too.
“It was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely,” Arnold Schwarzenegger joked.

Created by Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, the festival celebrates storytelling in all forms, including film, TV and music. This year marks the 24th edition of the festival and features diverse programming with many premieres, performances and anniversary retrospectives.
De Niro and Rosenthal will join forces with Ben Stiller for a panel celebrating the 25th anniversary of Meet the Parents. So, does it feel like 25 years have passed since De Niro first starred as Jack Byrnes?
“The classic answer is no, but then, you know, I can account for all the years that have passed if I get into it,” De Niro said. “But it’s still, you know, passed, so it’s a strange thing. It’s 25 years.”
The festival panel comes after the news that a fourth Meet the Parents film is in the works.
“I’m looking forward to it, it’s gonna be fun,” De Niro said of filming the new movie.
Ariana Grande has just joined the cast of the fourth Meet the Parents film. De Niro says he’s met her once before.
“I met her a few years ago at SNL,” De Niro said. “We did the same SNL. I remember, I had one of my kids meet her who wanted to meet her.”
So, De Niro has met Grande, but did he watch her Academy Award-nominated performance in Wicked?
“I didn’t, but I want to see it. I heard it’s really good,” De Niro said.
Rosenthal, who produced Meet the Parents, agreed that it is a strange thing for all of that time to have passed.
“What’s really fun for us in getting back together for the next one is … our families have grown and we’ve grown up together. It’s kind of special.”
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in a scene from the movie, ‘It Ends With Us.’ Sony Pictures
The ongoing legal dispute between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni escalated Tuesday over Lively’s decision to withdraw claims of emotional distress from her lawsuit.
Lively will not be able to refile the claims — included in the lawsuit she originally filed against Baldoni in late December — back into the lawsuit in the future, according to a ruling issued Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman.
Liman also ruled that Lively does not have to provide her medical records to the court following the withdrawal of the claims of emotional distress.
“The parties shall stipulate to whether the dismissal is with or without prejudice, or Lively shall renew her request by formal motion,” Liman wrote in his ruling. “For avoidance of doubt, if the claims are not dismissed, the Court will preclude Lively from offering any evidence of emotional distress.”
In her original lawsuit, Lively claimed she experienced “severe emotional distress” after Baldoni and key stakeholders in It Ends With Us allegedly sexually harassed her and allegedly attempted, along with Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, to orchestrate a smear campaign against her.
On Monday, lawyers for Baldoni and Wayfarer filed a motion to compel Lively to provide her medical and mental health care records, in order to prove she experienced distress, according to court filings seen by ABC News. Baldoni’s lawyers asked for the emotional distress claims to be dismissed with prejudice so they cannot be refiled at a later time.
“By alleging that she suffered physical and emotional injuries, Ms. Lively has placed her physical and mental condition at issue and, in turn, must produce relevant information and documents,” the court filings state.
Lively’s legal team responded with a letter to the judge Monday asking for the motion to be dropped, calling it a “public relations stunt.”
Lively’s lawyers, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, told ABC News in a statement Tuesday, after the judge’s ruling, that the actress will “continue to pursue emotional distress damages through other claims in her lawsuit.”
“The court denied Wayfarer’s motion. He told the parties to continue their discussions about the technicalities of how 2 of the 15 claims will be voluntarily dismissed. Ms. Lively has offered to dismiss those claims because they are no longer necessary, and she will continue to pursue emotional distress damages through other claims in her lawsuit, including sexual harassment and retaliation,” Hudson and Gottlieb said. “In addition, the Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive damages under California law. This is exactly where both parties were before the Baldoni-Wayfarer Parties rushed to file this utterly pointless motion to compel, all searching for yet another press moment.”
Baldoni’s legal team had no additional comment on the judge’s ruling when reached by ABC News.
Lively and Baldoni’s legal feud began after Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department in December, accusing him of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us, which he also directed.
Baldoni denied the allegations at the time in a statement issued through his attorney BryanFreedman, who called Lively’s actions “shameful” and the allegations “serious and categorically false.”
Freedman claimed that Lively’s complaint was “another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film.”
Lively and Baldoni subsequently launched dueling lawsuits against each other, with Lively’s lawsuit reiterating the allegations outlined in her earlier California Civil Rights Department complaint.
Baldoni filed a civil lawsuit against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, the couple’s publicist Leslie Sloane and Sloane’s public relations company, Vision PR, in January this year, alleging, among other things, extortion and defamation.
Baldoni accused Lively of having “robbed” him and Wayfarer Studios LLC of control of It Ends with Us, which he also directed, as well as destroying Baldoni’s “personal and professional reputations and livelihood.” He accused Sloane of having gone “so far as to propagate malicious stories portraying Baldoni as a sexual predator” and Reynolds of using the term to describe Baldoni in a call with Baldoni’s agent. The suit claims Reynolds told Baldoni’s rep to “drop” him as a client.
Lively’s lawyers responded with a statement calling the lawsuit “another chapter in the abuser playbook.”
Lively and Baldoni are due to appear in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on March 9, 2026, with Liman overseeing the case.
Ahead of their court date, Lively filed an amended version of her lawsuit against Baldoni in February.
In March, Reynolds filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s complaint against him. Lively also filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s countersuit against her.
