“As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever,” the description reads.

Charlie Covell is on board as the creator, executive producer and showrunner. Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap is among the show’s producing partners, along with Amazon MGM Studios.

“It’s a huge honor to be adapting Life Is Strange for Amazon MGM Studios,” Covell says in a statement. “I am a massive fan of the game, and I’m thrilled to be working with the incredible teams at Square Enix, Story Kitchen and LuckyChap. The first teaser for A Very Jonas Christmas Movie has arrived.

The holiday film, which will debut on Disney+ Nov. 14, finds the Jonas Brothers — Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas — attempting to travel from London to New York to spend Christmas with their families, and encountering unexpected obstacles along the way.

In the teaser, we see the brothers taking planes, trains and automobiles to get home, only to end up in a forest being menaced by a pack of wolves. “I’m sorry we never got to hear you sing, Kevin!” yells a terrified Joe. “I’m sure your voice is pretty OK!” “Thank you!” replies an equally terrified Kevin.

Notably, the movie was shot before Joe and Nick — and their fans — finally did hear Kevin sing. He debuted his first-ever solo song at a show in Boston in August.

In addition to the group, the cast of the film includes Randall Park, Laverne Cox, KJ Apa, Andrea Martin, Billie Lourd, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Santa and Kenny G as himself. At least that explains why, back in February, Jonas Brothers posted a video of themselves watching Kenny G playing in their trailer.

Charlie Sheen has admitted he was a sex addict who was extorted by his sexual partners during the height of his drug abuse that made headlines and nearly cost him his acting career.

Sheen had sex with men during that time, but kept it secret due to being extorted, the actor told Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan in an interview that aired Friday on GMA.

“It did come with a tremendous amount of extortion,” Sheen told Strahan. “And so at the time, I was just like, ‘Alright, let’s just pay to keep it quiet. And just hope it just stays over there, make it go away, you know? Make it go away.'”

Sheen, 60, said that over the years he felt like he was being “held hostage” by choosing to pay people instead of risking his secrets being made public.

“I just need to be free of that … and then see how the world feels if people know that stuff,” he said of his decision to speak publicly. “Because I’ve written a story all these years about, ‘Oh jeez, if I ever reveal that, then this has to be how I’d be dealt with, how I’d be treated, how they’d feel.'”

Sheen, the Golden Globe-winning star of hit TV shows and movies including Platoon and Two and a Half Men, writes in his own words about his past scandals and turmoil in his new memoir, The Book of Sheen, about which he spoke to Strahan.

In addition to his sex life, Sheen writes in the book, available on Sept. 9, about his HIV diagnosis and his decision to stop using drugs the same year he publicly announced his diagnosis, in 2015.

Sheen told Strahan he went on to quit alcohol in 2017 and has been completely sober since then.

Tune into “Good Morning America” on Monday, Sept. 8, at 7 a.m. ET on ABC for more of Michael Strahan’s interview with Charlie Sheen about his memoir, The Book of Sheen.

Preparation for the Next Life follows an undocumented immigrant and a U.S. war veteran who find an unexpected connection in one another.

Sebiye Behtiyar [seh-BEE-ya BEH-tee-yar] makes her feature film debut as Uyghur [WEE-gur] immigrant Aishe, who’s trying to make a life for herself in New York City. She forms a bond with troubled young war veteran Skinner, played by Fred Hechinger [HECK-in-jurr], and together they try to imagine a better future for themselves.

Behtiyar, who is of Uyghur descent and speaks three languages like her character, felt an immediate connection to the project, but didn’t assume she’d get the role because she was only just starting out.

“I wasn’t prepared for such a complex character as Aishe, but meeting all those incredible people [in the cast and crew] just gave me so [much] strength and support and love to just bring a little bit [of] myself and my understanding of this character,” she tells ABC Audio.

Hechinger says every cast and crew member “felt like they had a personal investment in the movie,” and both he and Behtiyar are eager for audiences to connect with the story as well, particularly given what’s going on with immigration in the U.S. today.

Behtiyar says she hopes the film reminds people we are all human beings who “share feelings” and “face different kinds of pain.”

“We made this movie because it spoke to our hearts and our lives,” Hechinger adds. “And it’s kind of wild that it’s coming out when it’s become even more relevant and important in that way, but I really just think everyone seeing it with their open heart is what counts.”

Preparation for the Next Life, from Oscar-nominated director Bing Liu, is in select theaters now.

The teaser trailer for Die My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, has been released.

The film follows Grace and Jack, a married couple who move from New York to a house in the country. After giving birth to their child, Grace begins to unravel as she struggles to reclaim her identity.

The teaser does not feature any dialogue, but shows the couple in scenes that alternate between loving and unsettling. In one scene we see them in an intense argument, and another scene shows someone holding a knife.

Die My Love, also starring Sissy Spacek, LaKeith Stanfield and Nick Nolte, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. It hits theaters Nov. 7.

A group of four adult friends navigate divorce, open relationships and the crossing of boundaries in the new movie Splitsville.

The comedy film, which expands to a wide theatrical release on Friday, stars Dakota JohnsonAdria ArjonaKyle Marvin and Michael Angelo Covino.

Johnson, who also produced the film, said if there’s anything she’s taken away about marriage and relationships in general after Splitsville, it’s “that there’s infinite ways to explore relationship dynamics and love between humans.”

The actress says she thinks films that explore these themes are really helpful to people.

“This movie, we’re marketing it as an unromantic comedy, because it really is messy. It feels bad. It doesn’t end well,” Johnson said. “The people are hurting. And I think that a lot of people are hurting in the world. And I would love if we had movies that were honest portrayals of what human beings are really going through.”

Covino directed Splitsville from a script he cowrote with his costar and close friend Marvin.

He said while the ideas of open relationships that the film discusses may seem modern, they actually aren’t all that modern, “if we really think about it.”

“They’ve been around and people have been exploring the challenges of monogamy for quite some time. And certainly the pain and frustration and difficulty of betrayal and friendship and all these things,” Covino said.
