Jason Momoa is changing up his look. The actor shaved his beard for the first time in six years for his return in the upcoming film Dune: Part Three.

The actor can be seen shaving outdoors in a new Instagram video post and shares his reaction along the way.

“Damn it, I hate it,” Momoa says in the video.

“I think it’s been about six years, maybe a little bit more, since I did Dune. What was really special about that is, that is when I started and I started launching Mananalu,” he continues, referring to the reusable bottled water company he launched in 2019.

“Only for you, Denis,” he adds, a nod to Dune film series director Denis Villeneuve.

Momoa played Duncan Idaho in the 2021 Dune film and is expected to reprise the role for the third installment. The cast of Dune: Part Three is aiming to begin filming soon, and the film is slated for a potential 2026 release.

Momoa’s 16-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, was also recently announced as a new cast member of Dune: Part Three. Jason told Extra what he thought about his son following his footsteps into the entertainment world.

“It’s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him,” Momoa said.

“I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age,” he added. “There’s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on Baywatch at 19. He’s 16 and holding s*** down with Denis Villeneuve.”

Taron Egerton is not interested in taking over 007.

The actor said he does not think he should be the next person to take on the role of James Bond in a recent interview with Collider.

“I don’t think I’m a good choice for it. I think I’m too messy for that,” Egerton said. “I really love James Bond and particularly Daniel Craig‘s tenure. But I think I wouldn’t be good at it, and I think there’s so many cool, younger actors who would be great for it. I think it would be wasted on me, probably.”

Egerton previously played a spy in the 2014 film Kingsman: The Secret Service and once again in its 2017 sequel. Although he isn’t jumping at the chance to play Bond at the moment, Egerton said that doesn’t mean he doesn’t “have aspirations and plans” or that he’s against starring in “more commercial” franchises in the future.

“I think I’m a period in my life where I’ve been following the things that speak to me on a creative level a little bit more, but, you know, I’m sure I won’t feel that way forever,” Egerton said. “But James Bond is quite an undertaking and I think, one, as far as I’m aware, nobody’s asking me to do it. But also, it’s possibly not quite the thing that would make me happiest. I do think it’s a big old undertaking, it kind of consumes your life, a role like that.”

Jeremy Renner thinks there will be a season 2 of Hawkeye.

In a recent interview with Empire magazine, the actor said he is sure a second season of the Marvel Disney+ TV show, in which he plays the lead role of Clint Barton/Hawkeye, will end up happening at some point.

“I’m always happy to be in that world, man,” Renner said of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “I love all those guys, I love the character.”

Specifically, he does think a second season of Hawkeye is still on the table.

“I’m sure we’ll end up doing season 2, and do other things. And I’m happy to do it,” Renner said. “My body’s getting ready for something like that. I don’t know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.”

These comments come after Renner revealed back in May that he turned down a second season of Hawkeye after he was offered half of his season 1 salary to return.

While speaking on the sports podcast High Performance at the time, Renner said, “They offered me half the money” to return for season 2 not long after his 2023 snowplow accident.

“I’m like, ‘Wow, it’s going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money — eight months of my time, essentially, and you do it for half the amount?'” Renner said. “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, why? Did you think I’m only half the Jeremy because I got ran over?’ That’s why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season?”

Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen are set to receive the 2025 Bob Hope Humanitarian Award from the Television Academy.

The married actors will be awarded the honor during the 77th Emmy Awards ceremony on Sept. 14. This marks the first time the award has been presented to a couple.

The Bob Hope Humanitarian Award recognizes a lifetime of philanthropy, activism and a commitment to a global greater good. It was established in 2002 and is one of the highest honors presented by the Television Academy’s Board of Governors.

In addition to his acting career, Danson is an environmentalist and ocean conservation activist. He co-founded the American Oceans Campaign in 1987, an organization that strove to alert Americans about the dangers oil spills, offshore developments and sewage pollution can have on the oceans. The AOC merged with Oceana in 2001; Danson has served on its board of directors since then.

Steenburgen has been involved with numerous organizations, such as Artists for a Free South Africa, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Heifer International, No Kid Hungry and Oceana. She recently served as a keynote speaker at the 2024 Ohio School Board Association Capital Conference to talk about the importance of art in schools.

“Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen have long used their voices — and their hearts — to champion causes that uplift the planet and its people,” Cris Abrego, chair of the Television Academy, said in a statement. “From environmental advocacy to humanitarian relief, they lead with grace, integrity and purpose. The Television Academy is proud to honor their extraordinary legacy of service with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.”

Comedian Nate Bargatze will host the Emmy Awards live from the Peacock Theater in LA on Sept. 14 starting at 8 p.m. ET.

Untamed has been renewed for season 2 at Netflix.

The streamer made the announcement about the series’ renewal on Tuesday. Eric Bana stars as Kyle Turner, an Investigative Services Brach agent for the National Parks Service, in the first season of the show. He is set to return for season 2, and Netflix says this time he’ll be investigating a completely new mystery.

“I am absolutely thrilled that we get the chance to bring another season of Untamed to life,” Bana said in a statement. “The response to season 1 has been a testament to the incredible effort by our crew to deliver something truly unique. I can’t wait to take Kyle on his next journey.”

Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith co-created the series. Mark told Netflix he and Elle originally “envisioned it as a stand-alone, six episodes,” but that’s no longer the case.

“But then the more that we got into it, it was just such a great cast … it was just like, ‘Oh yeah, how do we keep this going?’” Mark said.

At the end of Untamed season 1, Kyle leaves Yosemite National Park and takes to the road for his next journey. Mark says Kyle will explore many different places before he gets to the location where season 2 will take place.

“This won’t be the first park he’s been in since Yosemite,” Mark said. “He’s been to a lot of parks. He’s been busy, taking on a lot of cases. This will be the latest and it’ll be more impactful for him.”
