George Birge‘s current top-10 hit, “It Won’t Be Long,” was inspired by his sons, so it only made sense that 8-year-old George James Birge and 6-year-old Luke Birge should appear in the music video. 

“They love it, man,” George tells ABC Audio. “They’re 10 feet tall at school, and their buddies, you know, all listen to country music too, and so it’s a lot of fun.”

George says his older son has gotten particularly interested in the family business.

“They couldn’t be more opposite in their personalities,” he reveals. “One’s Mr. Straight Shooter and one is the life of the party, but they’re best friends.”

“And now that they’ve both gotten a little taste of like getting to come out onstage with dad or getting [to be] part of social media videos and stuff,” he continues, “I mean, I’ll be on the couch and my 8-year-old would come, put his head on my shoulder and be like, ‘All right, how many views we got, Dad? How’s it looking?'”

“So they love it, man. But any excuse for us to spend time as a family and make it fun. And even though it is work sometimes, putting stuff out there, getting to enjoy the time with each other is the best,” he adds.  

The younger George will celebrate his ninth birthday on Saturday.

Mariah Carey, Eminem and Drake are among the artists with the most total weeks at #1 in the history of the Billboard 200 album chart. Billboard recently compiled the list, which is topped by The Beatles, who spent 132 total weeks as chart-toppers.

Michael Jackson secured 51 weeks at #1, including 37 weeks in 1983 and 1984 with Thriller, and Whitney Houston spent 46 weeks atop the chart. Drake logged 37 weeks at #1, making him both the hip-hop artist and the Canadian artist with the most weeks at the top. Thirteen of those weeks came from Views, his longest-running #1 album.

Drake is tied with Harry Belafonte and followed by Eminem, who is tied with Prince at 35 weeks each. Eminem’s total includes albums such as his 2005 greatest-hits set Curtain Call: The Hits, 8 Mile: Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture and his longest-running #1, The Marshall Mathers LP. 

Mariah rounds out the list with 30 weeks at #1, all from regular studio releases. Her longest-running #1 was her self-titled debut, Mariah Carey, which spent 11 weeks at #1 in 1991.

When Louis Tomlinson kicks off his upcoming solo world tour in March, chances are he’ll include some One Direction songs in his set list — but they may not be the ones you want to hear. Why? Louis says they’re too dirty for him to sing.

Louis tells Billboard, “I like to pick one that I wrote — but the biggest challenge is finding a lyric that feels all right to sing as a 34-year-old guy. And that’s actually not the easiest thing to do, because some of those One Direction lyrics are f****** raunchy, man, proper! But it’s also a really fun thing to try and integrate something sonically.”

However, Louis says that he does enjoy doing a reimagined version of “Night Changes,” and in the past he’s performed “No Control,” “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “Drag Me Down.”

As for his One Direction bandmates, Louis has teamed with Zayn Malik for a Netflix docuseries that will stream later this year. But when asked if he thinks he and Zayn will continue to be buddy-buddy in the future, he says, “I suppose that we’ll see in time. … [I]t definitely feels closer than it was. But I think we’re all so busy, it’s hard to keep that consistency.”

And despite the proliferation of other boy bands, such as BTS, Louis says, “I still don’t think there’s been anything similar, really, to One Direction. … [P]retty much every boy band that had come before us would fit into a quite specific mold. There was a way of doing boy bands back in the day — dressing in the same outfits, dancing. We broke free from that mold.”

Louis’ tour comes in support of his new solo album, How Did I Get Here?, which is out Jan. 23.

This certainly isn’t the end of Djo‘s “End of Beginning.”

Joe Keery‘s viral hit has now reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, nearly four years after its original release in 2022. It currently sits at #6 on the all-genre chart, beating its previous peak of #11.

The Hot 100 ascent of “End of Beginning” is just the latest chapter in the song’s winding history. Two years after its 2022 premiere, “End of Beginning” became a TikTok smash in 2024. While certainly known for his role as Steve Harrington on Stranger Things, “End of Beginning” proved to be Keery’s first breakout hit as Djo, which he’s followed with the singles “Basic Being Basic” and “Delete Ya.”

Now, following the series finale of Stranger Things dropping on New Year’s Eve, interest in “End of Beginning” has once again spiked, driving its latest chart success.

As previously reported, “End of Beginning” also hit #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart.

After opening up for AC/DC in 2024 and 2025, The Pretty Reckless will once again be on the bill for the 2026 leg of the Power Up world tour. Needless to say, Taylor Momsen tells ABC Audio she’s excited to return to the road with the “Back in Black” legends.

“First of all, they’re f****** awesome,” Momsen laughs. “AC/DC is incredible.”

“They are the coolest guys, they are rock ‘n’ roll to their core, they’re, like, the definition of what that is,” she continues. “They’re one of the inventors of this, so to get to watch that every night and share a stage with them and get to know them as people, like, everything about it has been just surreal and amazing.”

For Momsen, getting to open for AC/DC and then watch them perform in a single night is a double dose of awesome.

“I get to play a show and be a fan,” Momsen says. “That’s the greatest tour!”

One previous Pretty Reckless show with AC/DC didn’t go as planned when Momsen was bitten onstage by a bat during a 2024 set in Spain. While the incident resulted in weeks of rabies shots, she tells Metal Hammer it earned her a new nickname in the AC/DC camp: Batgirl.

“They threw me a bat-themed birthday party with a giant homemade bat cake and some bat horns as a tiara; it was crazy,” Momsen says. “When AC/DC give you a nickname, you stick with that!”

The Pretty Reckless’ tour with AC/DC resumes in South America in February. It’ll come to the U.S. in July.

Primus will be performing at the 2026 Bass Magazine Awards, which take place Jan. 22 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California.

The set will take place after frontman Les Claypool is honored with the Bass Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented by Justin Chancellor of Tool and Robert Trujillo of Metallica.

The Bass Magazine Awards will also feature a performance by Green Day‘s Mike Dirnt, who’s also receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award, and an appearance by blink-182‘s Mark Hoppus.

Despite what some people may think, Nick Jonas‘ guitar is plugged in when he’s onstage. After an Instagram user shared a video of Nick playing guitar during DNCE‘s “Cake by the Ocean” at a Jonas Brothers tour stop — implying he wasn’t actually playing — his guitar tech stepped in to defend his boss. Michael Moschella wrote, “I can assure you at all times his guitar is connected, he is playing the song, and he is in the [front of house] mix coming out of the PA for the audience to hear.” 

Camila Cabello was honored with the key to the City of Miami on Sunday during the annual Three Kings Parade, which took place in Little Havana during the Feast of the Epiphany celebration. In video posted on Dade County’s website, Camila called the moment full circle, noting that her latest album, C,XOXO, is a love letter to the city. “Given the option to be anywhere, I will always pick Miami,” she told the crowd.

Gracie Abrams wasn’t at the Golden Globes supporting her boyfriend Paul Mescal, but the couple did get together after the show. People has photos of the two holding hands as they arrived at the afterparty at the Chateau Marmont in L.A. They had a lot to celebrate, as Mescal’s film Hamnet won best motion picture (drama).

Speaking of what pop stars did after the Golden Globes, Selena Gomez posted a photo on her Instagram Story of herself, husband Benny Blanco and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short enjoying “breakfast for dinner” at a low-key diner.

It appears R. Kelly has more music on the way from behind the bars. After his label, Rockland Records, posted Kelly’s remix of Chris Brown‘s “It Depends” on Instagram, Teddy Riley followed up with a post suggesting more is to come. “Still the King of R&B Bar None!!!! Can’t wait for yall to hear the new music!!!” he wrote. “Til then teaser missiles will be dropping!!! It’s about that time for real music!!!”

Kid Cudi showcased his comedic chops Friday at Mi’s Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, performing his first-ever stand-up comedy set. “Sooo this happened!!! Did stand up last night for the first time and holy f*** it was ELECTRIC!!!” he wrote alongside photos from the night. “Hearing people laughing their a**** off and enjoying my set really touched my heart man. I was maaaaad nervous, this was another type of nervousness I [hadn’t] felt before.” He noted that he plans to share clips from the set soon.

Latto is gearing fans up for her album. Sharing photos of her in a black bra and matching capris, a cropped orange short-sleeved jacket and Chanel sandals, the rapper wrote, “Stfu & get ready for the album.” The upcoming project will mark Latto’s fourth album, serving as the follow-up to her 2024 release, Sugar Honey Iced Tea.
