In a new cover story for PeopleJennifer Lopez has pulled back the curtains on Bennifer 2.0.

Lopez and Ben Affleck, 49, publicly stepped out together last year, rekindling a romance that began in 2002 but ultimately ended in a very public break-up in 2004, after Affleck proposed.

“It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” says Lopez, promoting her upcoming movie Marry Me, which hits theaters and Peacock on February 11.

“I’ve never been better,” says the 52-year-old movie star and recording artist.

As for Affleck, Lopez says, “I feel so lucky and happy and proud to be with him,” adding, “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance.”

Lopez admits there was “a little bit of fear” of going public again, but says things are different this time around.

“Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there, and we were naïve and it got a little trampled.”  This time, she says, We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things.”

Affleck is the father of daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina Rose, 12, and 9-year-old son Samuel, which he co-parents with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Lopez is the mom to 13-year-old twins Max and Emme from her marriage to ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Lopez says her new extended blended family benefits from her relationship working out so well.

“I honestly believe that love rules all,” J. Lo says. “Love always conquers everything — relationships, kids, work, work relationships. It’s all about how loving, open and accepting you can be…”

After 22 seasons and 7 Super Bowl Rings, Tom Brady is calling it a career.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Brady addressed his legions of fans to break the news.

“I have always believed the sport of football is an ‘all-in’ proposition — if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed … I have tried my very best these past 22 years,” Brady began.

“There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life. This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things.”

The quarterback, arguably the greatest of all time, also noted, “I’m fortunate to have cofounded incredible companies like @autograph.io @bradybrand, @tb12sports that I am excited to continue to help build and grow, but exactly what my days will look like will be a work-in-progress,” he wrote.

“I am going to take it day by day. I know for sure I want to spend a lot of time giving to others and trying to enrich other people’s lives, just as so many have done for me.”

Even as the oldest player in the league, 44-year-old Brady had one his best seasons in his swan song. He led the league in passing yards (5,316) and passing touchdowns (43).

Brady played two seasons with the Buccaneers after leaving New England in 2020. In his first season in Tampa Bay, he led the Bucs to their first Super Bowl win since 2003.

He holds virtually every career record by a quarterback, including most passing yards (84,520), pass completions (7,263) and passing touchdowns (624).

Report: Nirvana lawyers call Spencer Elden’s latest filing “strike three” in ongoing ‘Nevermind’ cover lawsuit

Lawyers for Nirvana have responded to Spencer Elden‘s latest filing in the ongoing lawsuit over the Nevermind cover, Rolling Stone reports.

In documents obtained by the magazine, Nirvana’s legal team calls Elden’s complaint, which was amended in January for the second time following the original lawsuit’s filing in August 2021, “strike three.”

“This case must end,” the motion reads.

As previously reported, Elden’s suit alleged that the artwork for Nirvana’s Nevermind constituted child pornography. The now-iconic cover features a photo of Elden, then a four-month-old baby, swimming naked underwater while reaching for a dollar bill.

Surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, as well as the late Kurt Cobain and his widow, Courtney Love, were among the defendants named in the suit.

In November 2021, Elden filed his first amended complaint with additional allegations, including that cover photographer Kirk Weddle, another named defendant, also took photos of Elden “dressed up and depicted as Hugh Hefner,” the notorious founder of Playboy.

The next month, Nirvana filed to dismiss Elden’s case, declaring not only that his claims were “not serious” and “absurd,” but that the statute of limitations on his allegations had expired. A judge then granted Nirvana’s request this past January, but allowed for Elden to amend and refile his suit, which he did just before the deadline last month.

Nirvana’s lawyers now argue “the time has run” on Elden’s suit, and request dismissal with prejudice, meaning he could no longer refile.

“Elden’s decision to not sue these defendants for the past 30 years, despite his decades-long knowledge of their same and unvaried conduct, is dispositive of his claim,” the motion reads. “It is as simple as that.”

Bachelor alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are officially parents!

The couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Dawson DemitriHaibon announced on Instagram Monday.

“Baby Dawson is here and healthy!” he revealed in the caption.

“Ashley is recovering and doing well! It really couldn’t have gone much smoother,” Haibon added. “He’s so sweet & beautiful and has been sleeping all day. Unlike his Mom and Dad who are on no sleep right now but it’s totally worth it!”

The 33-year-old parents, who first met in 2015 on Bachelor in Paradise before dating in 2018, revealed their baby’s moniker last month and clarified the meaning behind it.

“This is Jack Dawson from Titanic-inspired,” Iaconetti told Us Weekly. “We are a little concerned … not concerned, [but] we want people to know this is not after James Van Der Beek’s [Dawson’s Creek] character. This is after a Leonardo DiCaprio character.”

“‘Titanic’ has always been my favorite movie of all time,” she added. “I was 10 when I saw it.”

At the end of his Amazon documentary Justin Bieber: Our World, which was filmed in 2020, Justin tells his wife Hailey that one of his intentions for 2021 is for them to have a baby — or at least start trying.  Hailey seemed surprised at the notion then, and now, she says that probably won’t happen for “the next couple of years.”

Covering WSJ. Magazines Spring Women’s Fashion Issue, Hailey talks about her new skin-care brand, Rhode, as well as her relationship with Justin, and the pressure that she feels everyone seems to be putting on them to start having children.

“There’s this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody always assumes it’s: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby. Well, what about all the things I want to accomplish in my business?” Hailey notes.

“I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away and I was going to want to have kids super, super young,” she adds. “Then I turned 25 and I’m like, ‘I’m still super, super young!’”

So what’s her timetable?  Hailey says, “I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try. But there’s a reason they call it try, right? You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take. Definitely no kids this year; that would be a little bit hectic, I think.”

(STOCKTON, Calif.) — Firefighters in Stockton, California, are mourning one of their own, 47-year-old Fire Captain Vidal “Max” Fortuna, who was gunned down while putting out a fire on Monday.

The suspect, Robert Somerville, 67, was arrested Monday and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide and weapons charges, the Stockton Police Department said.

Fortuna was shot while at the scene of a dumpster fire, which was reported to 911 around 4:45 a.m. Monday, officials said.

Officers arrived at the scene and detained Somerville, officials said, adding that police found a .380 caliber handgun at the scene.

Police are still looking into a possible motive, a Stockton police spokesman told ABC News.

Fortuna, a 21-year veteran of the Stockton Fire Department, leaves behind a wife and two children, Stockton Fire Chief Richard Edwards said.

Somerville is due in court Wednesday.

As Stockton’s firefighters grieve, fire departments from neighboring communities are staffing Stockton’s fire stations and responding to calls, according to the city.

“We are extremely grateful that our partners have come together to provide mutual aid to our community while we, as individuals and a department, are grieving and healing from this horrific and tragic event,” Chief Edwards said. “While the engine or truck may have a different name on the side, we want to let the community know that you are in good hands with professional firefighters who will be protecting and serving our community.”

The NFL has announced its pregame entertainment lineup for the Super Bowl on February 13.

Zedd will be the “official pregame DJ” for the event, providing the music during player warmups. Meanwhile, Grammy-nominated country star Mickey Guyton will sing the national anthem, and R&B singer Jhené Aiko will perform “America the Beautiful.”

In addition, gospel stars Mary Mary will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing” — sometimes called the Black national anthem — accompanied by the L.A. Philharmonic’s Youth Orchestra Los Angeles.

As Variety notes, the lineup illustrates the NFL’s attempts to be more diverse in its entertainment choices, an initiative it announced in 2019.

As previously reported, the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl LVI will include Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.  The game, featuring the Bengals taking on the Rams, will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. It’ll air on NBC and Telemundo and stream live on Peacock.

After moving them several times, Aerosmith has now permanently canceled their planned European tour dates because of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a Facebook message the band writes that the tour, which was to have taken place in June and July of this year, has been scrapped due to “related uncertainty around travel logistics and the continued presence of COVID restrictions and other issues.”

“The health, safety and well being of our fans is our number one priority,” the band continues, adding, “We will be back to rock out with everyone and we hope to have some exciting news to announce soon…Until then, take care and we deeply apologize for any inconvenience.”

The tour was originally supposed to take place in 2020, but it was then moved to 2021, and then to this year.  The last time Aerosmith played live was February 15, 2020 as part of their Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency.

The band’s only live date this year is now its September 8 show in Fenway Park in Boston with Extreme. It was originally supposed to have taken place in 2020 to celebrate Aerosmith’s 50th anniversary.
