Def Leppard launches Def Leppard: Live at Caesars Palace The Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum on Tuesday and fans can expect quite a show. This will be the band’s third residency in Vegas, and frontman Joe Elliott tells ABC Audio “they keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger.”
He says the beauty of Las Vegas is that it allows you to go big and “it just enthuses you to put on a show,” noting their latest residency is gonna be “next level.”
So what are they doing to make it bigger than ever?
“The production is massive. It’s the best we’ve ever had by a country mile,” Elliott says. “Visually it’s insanely different to anything we’ve ever done.”
And that includes the set list, with Elliott saying they’re planning to go “a lot deeper” in their catalog.
“We’re pulling out stuff we haven’t played in decades. Stuff we’ve never played before,” he says. Of course, they’ll still play hits like “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” but Elliott says if fans only know that song “they’re in for a shock.”
They also plan to play their recently released single “Rejoice.” Says Elliott, “It’s the reason we released it, so that we could play it.”
And with Def Leppard booked at the venue through Feb. 28, bassist Rick Savage says there will be plenty of time for them to enjoy what Vegas has to offer.
“Once you get settled in, and you’ve played two or three shows, you kinda, you become a little bit more of a tourist rather than concentrating on your proper job,” he says. “But it’s such a great town, even just to walk around, you know, whether it’s during the day or at night, all the lights and the buzz and the people.”

Mýa is reflecting on the music that shaped her as she prepares to release her upcoming 10th studio album, Retrospect. The project marks her first studio album in eight years, though it has been in the works since 2016.
According to a press release, the album draws from her “earliest musical influences — rooted in late ’70s through late ’80s funk, R&B, and soul — while seamlessly infusing contemporary sounds and perspectives.”
“I’m able to channel the music that inspired me to get into the music industry, and make music from that pure, exciting place where you feel like a kid when you listen to it again or you feel joyful or you really feel something that you once upon a time used to feel when you listened to music in its purest state,” she previously told ABC Audio of the album.
With the pioneers of funk predating her, Mýa said Retrospect also serves as a tribute to those legends. “I get to pay homage to the [Jimmy] Jam and [Terry] Lewises, the Princes, the Vanity 6, Rick James, those sounds that fill my living room,” she said.
She added in a press release, “Music wasn’t just a part of my life; it was the heartbeat of my home, the foundation of my joy. This album is a celebration of that and the kind of funk that never fades. It’s a bridge between the past and the future, honoring the greats, my inspirations, while forging something new.”
Featuring the recently released single “ASAP” and guest appearances from 21 Savage and Joyner Lucas, Retrospect will arrive in spring 2026. It will be available in Stereo, Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio, offering what the press release describes as “an immersive listening experience that honors both her sonic roots and forward-looking vision.”

A moment like this always had to end, and Kelly Clarkson is explaining why.
The Emmy and Grammy-winning star has announced that she’ll be ending The Kelly Clarkson Show after this season. She shared the news on Instagram and explained, “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
In 2025, Kelly’s children, River and Remington Blackstock, lost their father, Kelly’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, to cancer at age 48. Blackstock’s photo was included in the “In Memoriam” segment of Sunday night’s Grammys, as Blackstock’s stepmother, Reba McEntire, performed.
“I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for,” Kelly’s message continued. She went on to thank “all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us” and “all the fans who have supported our show.”
“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next,” she added.
In fact, you’ll be able to see Kelly on The Voice later this month as season 29, dubbedThe Voice: Battle of the Champions, launches Feb. 23.
Kelly’s message concluded, “For for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

The two sing the Bon Jovi hit, changing the lyrics to reflect all the ways in which their coverage is vastly inferior to State Farm’s. KATSEYE shows up to dance when they sing the chorus: “Whoa, oh, you’re livin’ on a prayer” — as in, you’ll be living on a prayer if you sign up for their terrible insurance. “Should’ve gone with State Farm,” says Hailee. A new Nancy Meyers movie is on the way.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release a brand-new film directed by Meyers in theaters on Christmas Day in 2027, ABC Audio has learned.
Meyers will write, direct and produce the currently untitled film, which is keeping its logline under wraps for the time being. Ilona Herzberg will also produce the movie, while Diana Pokorny will executive produce it.
A star-studded cast is currently in final negotiations to join the project, including Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey and Owen Wilson.
Meyers took to Instagram to celebrate the announcement of her upcoming film.
“Happy to share my new movie with this fantastic cast is in the works and will be released on Christmas Day 2027! See you at the movies!” she captioned a post.
This film will reunite Meyers with Law, who previously collaborated on her celebrated 2006 rom-com, TheHoliday.
Meyers’ last time helming a movie was the Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro comedy The Intern, which was released 11 years ago in 2015.

When asked about his new music, T.I. mentioned his song “Let Em Know,” produced by Pharrell — this year’s Dr. Dre Global Impact recipient — and referred to it as the “first single off of my final album.”
“I’m gonna be done. They should know it. I’ve said it before. It’s time,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I think I have many gifts that God has given me that I can spend more time and attention on, and spend more time at home with my family and my grandchildren.”

Gov’t Mule has announced some new spring tour dates.
The band, led by Warren Haynes, has announced 11 new shows, featuring Larkin Poe and Maggie Rose on select dates.
The new dates begin April 14 in Kansas City, Missouri, and wrap April 28 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The shows extend the band’s already announced tour, which begins March 27 in Denver.
An artist presale for tickets to the newly added shows begins Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET, followed by local presales starting Thursday at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 12 p.m. ET.

(FAIRFAX, Va.) — A jury has reached a verdict in the double murder trial of a Virginia man accused of killing his wife and a stranger lured to their home under false pretenses in an elaborate plot to get rid of his spouse so he could be with his au pair, with whom he was having an affair.
Brendan Banfield, 40, is accused of stabbing his wife to death in their home in Fairfax County and fatally shooting a man he allegedly “catfished” on a fetish website. Prosecutors said he pretended to be his wife to lure the man to their home for what was believed to be a consensual fake rape scenario in order to frame that stranger for his wife’s murder.
The jury deliberated nearly nine hours over two days, starting Friday, before reaching a verdict Monday afternoon. The verdict is expected to be read in court at 5 p.m. ET Monday.
The former IRS agent was charged with aggravated murder in 2024 following a monthslong investigation into the deaths of his wife, 37-year-old nurse Christine Banfield, and the man, 39-year-old Joseph Ryan.
Prosecutors accused Brendan Banfield of plotting the murders with the family’s au pair, 25-year-old Juliana Peres Magalhaes, who was initially charged with second-degree murder in connection with the deaths.
Ahead of the trial, Peres Magalhaes pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Under the plea agreement with prosecutors, she will receive time served for testifying against Brendan Banfield.
During closing arguments on Friday, the prosecutor made the case that the murders were premeditated.
“He was in love with Juliana. He can pretend that this was a fling and affair — he’d had them before, no big deal. He was in love with Juliana,” prosecutor Jenna Sands said. “He was afraid of losing her. He needed to get rid of his wife so that they could be together, so that they could marry, so that they could have those babies that he was picking out names for.”
Sands said there was no evidence that Christine Banfield had previously used dating or fetish websites, argued that there were signs that the crime scene had been “manipulated,” and reminded jurors that during the au pair’s testimony, Peres Magalhaes “told us how the plan was crafted and how it played out.”
The defense, meanwhile, pushed back on the catfishing theory, questioned the thoroughness of the investigation and argued that there were conclusions made based on confirmation bias. The attorney, John Carroll, claimed that prosecutors pressured Peres Magalhaes to change her story and that she “secured herself a deal that benefited her.” Carroll also said Brendan Banfield didn’t have to testify, but he did as they sought “to get the truth out there.”
“Is it reasonable, after a six- to eight-week affair, that someone is going to try to get rid of their companion of 19 years, wife of 12 years? Is that reasonable?” Carroll asked the jury. “You heard from my client: He thinks it’s absurd.”
During his testimony, Brendan Banfield called the allegations “absolutely crazy” and said his affair with Peres Magalhaes was just that and nothing more.
He said he came home on Feb. 24, 2023, after the au pair called to alert him about a stranger in the home. He said he went up to his bedroom with his gun drawn and found his wife naked with Ryan and that she called out, “Brendan, he has a knife!”
“I was extremely terrified,” Brendan Banfield told the jury. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more panicked in my life.”
He said he fired his government-issued firearm, striking Ryan in the head, after the man appeared to stab his wife.
Prosecutors said Christine Banfield was stabbed seven times in the neck.
Peres Magalhaes testified that Brendan Banfield expressed his desire to “get rid of” his wife in October 2022, saying, “At first, I thought he was joking.”
She testified that she had helped Brendan Banfield catfish Ryan on the fetish website to lure Ryan to the home.
Peres Magalhaes told the court that Brendan Banfield told her he wanted to marry her and have children with her, and that he didn’t want to divorce his wife because “she would have more money than he would” and because he wanted custody of the couple’s daughter.
Brendan Banfield was additionally charged with using a firearm while committing or attempting to commit murder and child endangerment. The couple’s then-4-year-old daughter was in the house at the time of the killings, in the basement.
“He left her in the basement, knowing that Joe Ryan was upstairs,” Sands said during her closing argument. “He left her in the basement while he shot and killed Joe Ryan. He left her in the basement while he stabbed his wife.”
