Mod Sun has released a new song called “Rich Kids Ruin Everything.”

The track, which is available now via digital outlets, finds the “Flames” rocker reflecting on the recent mainstream resurgence of pop punk and reaching out to “all the kids that feel confident in their own skin and don’t walk around wearing a costume.”

“I grew up a scene kid, I grew up a skateboarder and a pop punk kid and I used to get made fun of for being all of those, for the way I looked, the way I dressed, for the way I acted and all the things [I] love,” Mod says. “It’s both awesome and hilarious, yet confusing seeing the general public and pop culture embracing all the things that I would get torn down for.”

“Everything now is about trends,” he continues. “If it keeps going this way and getting championed then eventually originality will be a lost art. I’m trying to let people know that there’s more to this world than what’s currently popular. I want kids to feel like it’s important to be visionaries not followers.”

“Rich Kids Run Everything” is the first off Mod’s next album. It’ll be the follow-up to 2021’s Internet Killed the Rockstar, which features the Avril Lavigne collaboration, “Flames.”

Meanwhile, Lavigne’s new album Love Sux features several songs co-written and co-produced by Mod.

A woman with an independent streak is the star of the show in the music video for Kenny Chesney’s new single, “Everyone She Knows.”

The clip follows a woman who’s at home on the road, driving through jaw-dropping scenes of mountainsides, beach towns and the Grand Canyon in her Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van.

“I have been surrounded by strong women who lead these lives on their own terms my whole life,” says Kenny of the inspiration behind the song. “Nothing is more powerful or interesting than a woman who has a sense of her destiny and is willing to go chase it. It’s not always conventional, but that’s what makes their passion so much stronger.”

Fans will get a chance to see “Everyone She Knows” get the live treatment during Kenny’s upcoming Here and Now 2022 Tour, which launches in late April in Tampa, Florida. The song follows “Knowing You,” Kenny’s latest chart-topping single.

Wednesday marked two months since the untimely death of Bob Saget, and the somber milestone was noted by Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, on Instagram

The Full House actor, 65, was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, on January 9.

“2 whole months,” Kelly wrote in a note, alongside a picture of the pair embracing. “I’ve experienced that now time means nothing and everything at the same time. You count the weeks, and the months, they’re strange and surreal milestones.”

Her message continued, “How can it be 2 months without you?? But also it feels like yesterday you were here — and it still also feels like you never left? I like to say it’s all a very weird new universe. Learning how to navigate it is quite the journey.”

In February, Saget’s family revealed that he died from head trauma.

“They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep,” his family said in a statement obtained by ABC News. “No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

Since her husband’s death, Rizzo has shared several posts about her time spent processing the loss. She also opened up about Saget’s incredible impact during an appearance on Good Morning America in late January.

“He did everything for everybody — if you had a problem, he was the first person that was going to take care of it and help you,” she said on the show. “And he was just the most caring and kind and thoughtful person…he was just the most absolutely wonderful husband that I ever could have dreamed of.”

If you wondered if Lil Nas X was okay after the “Industry Baby” rapper suddenly disappeared in mid-December after revealing in since-deleted tweets that he tested positive for COVID-19, fear not. He’s quietly made his return by starring in a new commercial for wireless headphones.

Teaming with Logitech for their UE Fits Custom Earbuds, the Grammy winner is seen pacing around his home in his neon pink silk pajamas before putting on his new headphones.  He’s then transported to another world full of neon-colored butterflies and blooming flowers.

Lil Nas X drinks it all in while bopping his head to the instrumental of his song “That’s What I Want.”

It is unknown when the commercial was filmed, but this marks the first time Lil Nas X has appeared publicly since December 17, when he posted a string of tweets about contracting COVID-19.  He said at the time, “I’m not sure whether i’ve had the omarion or alicia keys variant of covid but this has not been a fun journey.”  He also promised fans, “Now that i’m sure i won’t die from covid i will now begin making mildly funny jokes about having it.”

Soon after, the tweets were deleted and Lil Nas X’s once very active social media presence went dark, leading fans to worry about his well-being.   Fans caused his name to trend several times on Twitter as they tried to locate the “Panini” rapper, while others wondered if this was all an elaborate publicity stunt.

We may soon have an answer: After the commercial dropped, Lil Nas X wiped his Instagram account clean — sans for one image promoting his album, Montero — and cryptically wrote “love & miss u guys. back soon.”

The message behind the song and video is the heart of ZBB’s new The Comeback album, says lead singer Zac Brown.

“It has the pulsating sound and feeling your heart gets when you’re adventuring the great outdoors and your adrenaline starts pumping,” he says. “We combined our old school country roots and Southern rock style, creating an ode to our country pride and life’s simple pleasures.”

For a live taste of the ZBB style, pick up tickets to a show on their upcoming Out in the Middle Tour. The run kicks off in late April.

(SAN DIEGO) — Rising gas prices in the U.S. amid sanctions on Russian oil have some Americans feeling hesitant about any plans for a summer road trip. But tourism officials in one summer hot spot say they don’t think gas prices will hurt travel there much.

In San Diego, hotel owners like Bob Rouch say business has returned to pre-COVID levels. It appears that so many people want to travel and get out without masks that the desire to travel this summer outweighs any reluctance due to rising gas prices.

“I know some people refer to it as revenge travel,” Rouch said. “I think it’s people wanting to get out.”

Tourism officials say places like San Diego will likely fare well despite high gas prices because the city is a quick drive with minimal fuel burn from locations like Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Northern California.

Lawyers try to shift blame for fatal ‘Rust’ shooting away from Alec Baldwin

Lawyers try to shift blame for fatal ‘Rust’ shooting away from Alec Baldwin
ABC News

As lawsuits amount gainst him and the other producers of the doomed film Western RustAlec Baldwin‘s attorneys filed a motion to try to absolve him from the fatal shot he fired at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins

Hutchins was mortally wounded on October 21 of last year an director Joel Souza was injured when a live round in a Colt-style pistol Baldwin aimed at her during rehearsal discharged. Baldwin insisted to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he didn’t pull the trigger, and claimed he was assured the gun was “cold,” or safe.

A criminal investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

“[S]omeone should be held legally culpable for the tragic consequences,” says Friday’s filing by Baldwin’s attorney, Luke Nikas, but declares, “That person is not Alec Baldwin.”

“Baldwin is an actor,” the filing continues. “He didn’t announce that the gun was ‘cold’ when it really contained a live round; he didn’t load the gun; he didn’t check the bullets in the gun; he didn’t purchase the bullets; he didn’t make the bullets and represent that they were dummies; he wasn’t in charge of firearm safety on the set; he didn’t hire the people who supplied the bullets or checked the gun; and he played no role in managing the movie’s props. Each of those jobs was performed by someone else.”

Last month, Hutchins’ widower filed a wrongful death suit against Baldwin, one of the producers on the film. To NBC’s Today show, Matt Hutchins said, “The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me.”

As for Baldwin’s interview with Stephanopoulos, Hutchins said, “Watching him, I just felt so angry. I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her.”
