In a cover feature in the upcoming issue of Men’s Health, Oscar-winning actor and seemingly tireless 30 Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto gets real about his motivations.

When asked about juggling the titles of both movie star and rock star, Leto tells the magazine, “I’m impatient, and I guard my time really well. And that’s probably why I’m able to do multiple things and achieve some of my goals with those things.”

He also adds the caveat, “If you want to achieve greatly, I can tell you how, but it may not be what you want. I’ve…achieved some goals in my life, and it’s been a beautiful thing. But there’s a price you pay for all of it…”

While admitting balance is important in life, Leto also comments, “Why would you ever wanna settle?”

As for staying in share, for Leto, no amount of gym time compares to being on stage. “I’d put it somewhere between amateur bowling and . . . Usain Bolt,” he comments.

“[Y]ou’re up there having a good time, but it’s full on for a couple of hours. You’re singing and running around, you have so much adrenaline, and you’re performing at your limit. Your heart is pounding outta your chest, you’re dripping sweat, and you’re exhilarated, but you’re working your body in a really intense way.”

That said, the 50-year-old star isn’t sharing any secrets about keeping his looks. “I do have a good answer for that, but I probably won’t tell you. Just to keep everybody guessing,” he quips, adding, “honestly, at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter.”

Leto can now be seen in the Apple TV+ series WeCrashed, and will soon be seen in theaters in Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man universe movie, Morbius.

Pusha T has some beef with McDonald’s.

The rapper just released a “diss track” against the fast food chain in collaboration with Arby’s. On the track, he touts Arby’s new spicy fish sandwich as being superior to McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish. If you’ll remember, Pusha originally helped launch the “I’m Lovin’ It” campaign for McDonald’s, which probably makes the diss sting just that much more.

“I’m the reason the whole world love it/Now I gotta crush it/Filet-O-Fish is s***/And you should be disgusted/How dare you sell a square fish asking us to trust it,” he raps.

“Arby’s crispy fish is simply it/With lines ‘round the corner we might need a guest list,” Pusha adds on the track.

“Just dropped a diss track with @Arbys. Grab some popcorn and a Spicy Fish Sandwich,” Pusha posted on social media, adding the hashtags, “#ArbysSpicyFishDissTrack #ArbysPaidMeButIWouldSayThisAnyway.”

Your move, McDonald’s.

New Disney+ ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ ad gives menacing peek of Darth Vader

New Disney+ ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ ad gives menacing peek of Darth Vader
Lucasfilm

Disney+ just dropped a TV spot for its upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and while it doesn’t show much in the way of new footage that hasn’t already been seen in its trailer, the spot closes with a shot of the man in black: Darth Vader.

The closing seconds of the spot shows Vader igniting his red lightsaber, as his iconic breathing can be heard.

As reported, Hayden Christensen is returning as the fallen student of Ewan McGregor‘s titular Jedi master, and the actor has teased the pair will cross lightsabers at some point in the show, which takes place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith

That film closed with a defeated Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader being fitted with his fearsome black suit to save his life, following a duel to the death with his battle brother and former teacher. The film juxtaposes that
“birth” with the death of Anakin’s love, Padme Amidala, who dies giving birth to their twins, Luke and Leia. Obi-Wan vows to watch over young Luke as he grows up on Tatooine, which is apparently what the series is about — which also sees the Empire dispatching its fearsome Inquisitors to hunt down the remaining Jedi.

The only other shot of significance in the commercial is a glimpse of Anakin’s old lightsaber, which Kenobi kept safe until passing it to a 19-year-old Luke in Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope

Obi-Wan Kenobi debuts May 25th, the anniversary of the original film’s release in 1977.

‘The Gilded Age’ Denèe Benton talks shattering Black stereotypes

HBO/Alison Cohen Rosa

The critically acclaimed new HBO series The Gilded Age airs its season finale tonight, and the show that was originally created a few years ago was not the same as what you ended up seeing, at least when it comes to Denèe Benton‘s character in the series.

Benton plays Peggy Scott, an upper-middle-class African-American woman, and a character she had a lot of input in shaping. She tells ABC Audio she pushed really hard to make sure Peggy wasn’t the typical screen representation of Black America in the late 1800s, and that wasn’t easy.

“I was definitely in inboxes and asking for meetings and conversations,” she recalls. “And the thing that I will commend everyone on is that they kept showing up to the conversation. And so, yeah, it was terrifying. I was clenching my butt cheeks with the all-white male creative team being like, this thing needs to change.”

The 30-year-old actress believes we’ve been “bamboozled into thinking Black people and Black women didn’t exist,” when in fact they’ve “existed at every level of society for all time.

She adds, “I am so excited to be a part of continuing to shatter that delusion of white supremacy.”

Benton thinks the whole show has benefited from Peggy being a secretary for the New York Globe and “getting to have these scenes with her mom in a Black café.” She says it “adds nuance [and] specificity, [which] is what storytelling is about.”

“I’m happy that we all showed up to take in that opportunity,” she adds.

Olivia Rodrigo says “fingers crossed” she’ll win a Grammy “one day”

Olivia Rodrigo says “fingers crossed” she’ll win a Grammy “one day”
ABC

Olivia Rodrigo has seven chances to win a Grammy next month, but she’s not taking anything for granted.

Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday, Olivia told ABC’s Juju Chang that she “hasn’t even begun to process” the fact that she’s nominated for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, plus a bunch of other categories.  “It’s that crazy?” she said of her nominations.

But when asked if there’s one thing in her career she’d like to accomplish, Olivia said, “Oh my Gosh…I mean, I would love to win a Grammy one day. We’ll see if it happens, fingers crossed.”

Olivia will find out April 3 if her dream of winning comes true. Meanwhile, Olivia also spoke on GMA about her frustration with those who’ve tried to compare her to other female artists, or put her down for allegedly “copying” other artists’ songs.

“I think sometimes when you’re, especially, a young woman in the industry, I think people are so quick to compare you to people or be like, ‘Oh she’s the next this’ or ‘She’s this mixed with this,'” Olivia told Chang. “And I just kinda wanna be me and do my own thing and write songs that resonate with who I am as a person.”

Olivia’s Disney+ documentary Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film) debuts on Friday.

Ghost earns highest-charting career album with ‘Impera’

ABC/Randy Holmes

Forget “little sunshine,” call Ghost little chart-toppers.

The Swedish metal outfit’s latest album, Impera, has debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, a career-high for frontman Tobias Forge and his band of Nameless Ghouls. They had previously peaked on the chart at number three, with 2018’s Prequelle.

In its first week, Impera moved a total of 70,000 equivalent album units. In terms of traditional album sales, Impera’s 62,500 copies gives it the best-selling week of any album in 2022.

According to Billboard, Impera is the Billboard 200’s highest-charting rock album since John Mayer‘s Sob Rock also debuted at number two in July 2021, though we’d hazard to guess that Ghost fans may not consider the “Your Body Is a Wonderland” artist as “rock.” Billboard also says that Impera‘s chart performance is the best for any “hard rock” album since AC/DC‘s comeback effort, Power Up, debuted at number one in November 2020.

Impera, the fifth Ghost album, was released March 11. It includes the singles “Hunter’s Moon” and “Call Me Little Sunshine.”
