Tool drummer Danny Carey has been arrested for assault, TMZ reports.

According to the gossip site, Carey got into a fight with two other individuals at the Kansas City airport Sunday night. Carey was then arrested and taken to a nearby police station, where he was booked on misdemeanor assault. He’s since been released on bond.

TMZ adds that charges could be filed against Carey should prosecutors decide to proceed.

A rep for Tool had no comment on the report when contacted by ABC Audio.

Carey, a native of Lawrence, Kansas, was in the airport after returning from attending a Kansas University basketball game over the weekend, during which he played drums alongside the student band.

Tool is scheduled to launch a U.S. tour in January 2022.

Joe Jonas is ready to celebrate the holidays and is already dreaming about the feast he and wife Sophie Turner will eat on Christmas.

Speaking to E! News, the 32-year-old singer said he plans on stuffing his face this year. “There are a lot of different varieties of food. There are quite a few meals,” Joe explained.

“I’ll be having my English dinner this year, which is usually a Sunday roast. As long as there’s some Yorkshire pudding and a big turkey or chicken, I’m thrilled,” he continued. “And all the trimmings on the side and my mom’s sweet potato casserole that she makes every year… Obviously, food is more of the event than even the day.”

So, what other Christmas traditions does Joe have?  The Jonas Brother admits he cozies up for a holiday movie marathon.

“You got to watch all of the Christmas movies,” he explained. “Now, as I have married an English gal, I like to watch Harry Potter. They are very Christmas-y. We just watched Home Alone last night, so Home Alone 2 is next.”

While Joe and his brothers Kevin and Nick Jonas are resting up after recently wrapping their sold-out Happiness Begins tour, he reveals that the trio already has big plans for 2022.

“There’s a lot of projects I’ve been writing and recording for,” Joe hinted. “Before you know it, you’ll see it or hear them.”

Joe will also star in the war drama Devotion, due out next year.  He tells E! News that he “really enjoy[s] acting” and teased it is “definitely something I want to do more of.”

Last month, Paul McCartney‘s The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present was named 2021 Book of the Year by Barnes & Noble’s booksellers.  Now the tome is getting end-of-the-year love from People magazine, which has chosen The Lyrics as one of its “Top 10 Books of 2021.”

In picking the book for its list, the magazine staff writes, “The rock legend pulls back the curtain on his creative process in this two-volume set, including rare photos and personal anecdotes behind his hits. It’s just the thing to crack open after you’ve watched the Beatles documentary Get Back.”

As previously reported, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present profiles 154 songs that McCartney wrote throughout his career, accompanied by his commentary about each tune. The book also features handwritten lyric sheets, rare personal photos, drawings and rough drafts of songs.

In other news, The Sunday Times of London reports that McCartney has made a major investment in the Audoo company, a London-based music technology company that’s developing an audio meter device that monitors what music is being played in public places such as stores, gyms and bars. The goal of the device is to gather more accurate information so that music artists can be fairly paid royalties for their work.

According to The Times, McCartney’s investment will help fund Audoo’s plans to expand into markets in North America and Europe. Among the previous investors is ABBA‘s Björn Ulvaeus.

“F*** you” — Kristin Davis unloads on ‘…And Just Like That’ cast age shamers
HBO Max

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Kristin Davis has some choice words for trolls taking shots at her and her fellow …And Just Like That co-stars. Well, really just two: “F*** you.”

In an interview with U.K.’s The Sunday Times Style magazine, Davis unloaded on anonymous Internet denizens who have taken shots at the actresses since the HBO Max Sex and the City follow-up was announced.

“Everyone wants to comment, pro or nay or whatever, on our hair and our faces and our this and our that,” she said, referring to herself and co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon.

“The level of intensity of it was a shock,” admits the 56-year-old actress and producer who portrays Charlotte York Goldblatt. “I feel angry and I don’t want to feel angry all the time, so I don’t look at it, I just know it’s there.”

Davis continues, “That’s the problem with social media, right, is that you don’t know what those people are doing. You don’t know anything about them. They’re just hurling bombs at you. It makes me angry.”

She adds, “I’m going to be blunt. I feel like, ‘F*** you. F***you people,’ like, ‘Come over here and do it better.’ You know what I mean? Like, what are you doing?”

Davis comments come after Carrie Bradshaw herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, called out “misogynistic” coverage of the show’s lead threesome, telling Vogue, “[It] would never. Happen. About. A Man.”

The star, who’s also 56, said, “Everyone has something to say. ‘She has too many wrinkles, she doesn’t have enough wrinkles.'”

She added, “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”

Adele’s “Easy on Me” prevents Mariah Carey from claiming top spot on ‘Billboard’ Hot 100

Looks like the holidays are still no match for Adele‘s powerhouse single “Easy on Me.”  Although Christmas is officially less than two weeks away, people still can’t get enough of the heartbreak anthem.

“Easy on Me” fended off Mariah Carey‘s holiday banger “All I Want for Christmas Is You” from reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and now claims its seventh week at number one.  The track was streamed over 20.7 million times and sold more than 9,200 copies over the past week, allowing it to beat out Mariah’s RIAA Diamond-certified smash.

While outpacing the popular Christmas song so close to the holidays is no easy feat, Adele has also broken several impressive records.  She is now the only artist in history to have a single from three consecutive albums top the Hot 100 for seven or more weeks.

Aside from “Easy on Me” from her new record 30, “Hello” from her 25 album and 21‘s “Rolling in the Deep” topped the Hot 100 for multiple weeks.

In addition, Adele is the sixth artist in history to send three singles to the top of the Hot 100 for seven or more weeks — sharing the honor with Drake, Mariah, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Boyz II Men.

It is unknown if “Easy on Me” can continue its number-one streak next week.  With the holidays fast approaching, Adele could be swept away by the tidal wave of Christmas songs that are quickly filling the chart.

While Mariah is in second place, in third is Brenda Lee‘s 1958 classic “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”  Burl Ives’ “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” Bobby Helms‘ “Jingle Bell Rock” and Andy Williams‘ “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” also have all climbed into the top 10.

With only a few more weeks until we wave goodbye to 2021, TikTok unveiled its list of the songs and artists that reigned supreme this past year.

In its annual music report for its U.S. users, the video service crowned Jason Derulo as its most-followed artist, while Lil Nas X racked up the most video views overall, as well as the most video duets. In addition, one of the videos he posted — which shows him discovering a sleeping Bella Poarch on his flight — is the most-viewed video by an artist: It racked up over 132 million views.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish amassed the most new followers this year — more than 30 million to be exact.

When it comes to pop music, it appears TikTokers couldn’t get enough of Doja Cat and Olivia Rodrigo — with Doja’s SZA collab “Kiss Me More” crowned this year’s top pop song, while Olivia’s “drivers license” and “good 4 u” idle in second and third place, respectively.  Doja’s “Woman” and “Need to Know” are also in the top 20, as are Olivia’s “deja vu” and “happier.”

TikTok also knows its users appreciate the older hits, and crowned “Bills, Bills, Bills” by Destiny’s Child and MKTO‘s “Classic” as the top two comeback tracks of the year.  Britney Spears‘ “Gimme More,” Justin Timberlake‘s “SexyBack,” Lukas Grahams “Mama Said” and Mike Posner‘s “Please Don’t Go” also made it into the top 10.

As for the classic songs that soundtracked the most TikTok videos, Boney M.‘s “Rasputin” takes the top spot, while Billy Joel‘s “Zanzibar,” George Michael‘s “Careless Whisper,” En Vogue‘s “Whatta Man” and Bell Biv DeVoe‘s “Poison” also made a strong showing.

Billie Eilish has revealed that she had a breakthrough case of COVID-19 over the summer.

During an interview with The Howard Stern Show, as captured by the site Mediaite, the “Happier than Ever” singer shared her experience with the virus, which she called “miserable.”

“I didn’t die, and I wasn’t gonna die, but that does not take away from how miserable it was,” Eilish said. “I mean, it was terrible. I still have side effects. I was sick for, like, two months almost.”

Eilish came down with COVID in August, as the Delta variant was circulating through the U.S. She credits being vaccinated for helping her get through.

“I want it to be clear that it is because of the vaccine that I’m fine,” Eilish said. “I think if I weren’t vaccinated I would’ve, like, died.”

Eilish then added that, in the “scheme of COVID,” which has killed close to 800,000 people in the U.S., her experience was “not bad,” but she still “felt horrible.”

“When I say it’s ‘bad,’ it’s not, like, ‘Oh my god, I was gonna die of COVID and the vaccine doesn’t work,'” Eilish said. “The vaccine’s f***ing amazing, and it also saved [my brother] FINNEAS from getting it, it saved my parents from getting it, saved my friends from getting it.”

The subject of Eilish’s health had come up in the interview after Stern noticed that Eilish sounded sick after hosting and performing on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live. Eilish shared that she had just tested negative for COVID and just has a cold, which she says she might have gotten from SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

“Lorne was sick,” she said. “Coughing everywhere.”
