The Lumineers are reissuing their 2012 self-titled debut album on vinyl in honor of its 10th anniversary.

The deluxe package, set to be released December 9, includes six bonus tracks never before available on wax, as well as updated liner notes and exclusive photos. It’s available for pre-order now.

“This album came from two Jersey boys from the same hometown, obsessively writing music together and gigging in New York for five years before doing what everyone told us not to do,” says frontman Wesley Schultz. “We LEFT New York to ‘make it’ by moving to Denver, Colorado. After a few years in Denver and hundreds of demos, open mics, house shows, and club gigs, something finally broke our way.”

He adds, “This album is those seven years of toil and joy, poured into a raw collection of songs that sound so perfectly imperfect, as we all are.”

The Lumineers was originally released April 3, 2012. The RIAA triple-Platinum record put the group on the map with the mega-hit “Ho Hey,” as well as the singles “Stubborn Love” and “Submarines.”

Earlier this year, The Lumineers released their fourth album, Brightside. They’ll launch a U.S. headlining tour in support of it in May.

After Runaway June’s lead singer, Naomi Cooke, left the band to go solo back in February, remaining members Jennifer Wayne and Natalie Stovall encouraged fans to “stay tuned” and hinted that they planned to remain a trio.

Now, they’re ready to spill the beans: The newest member of Runaway June is Stevie Woodward, a singer-songwriter and guitarist who has opened for acts like Scotty McCreery and Kip Moore as a solo performer.

“Y’all welcome Stevie,” Runaway June wrote on socials, alongside with an image of the newly-minted RJ lineup together. “We can’t wait until y’all fall in love with her as much as we have! It’s been so hard to keep it a secret, but we can’t wait to share the music we’ve been working on!! Get ready for some harmonies and dueling solos!!!”

The band also hinted at tour plans, saying “We’ll see you on the road soon!!!”

Naomi and Jennifer are founding members of Runaway June, along with Hannah Mulholland, who left the group in 2020 and was replaced by Natalie. The group’s last album was their 2020 holiday project, When I Think About Christmas.

Whitney Houson’s former home goes on sale for $1.6 million

If you ever dreamed of owning a celebrity’s former home, this might be your chance.  Whitney Houston‘s Mendham, New Jersey, ranch-style home has hit the market and has an asking price starting at $1.6 million.

Considering what celebrity homes typically can sell for, this number is on the more-affordable side.

The New York Post reports Whitney resided at the New Jersey residence from 1993 to 2010, when she sold it to its current owners for $940,000.  The “I Will Always Love You” singer used the property as a guest house and a recording studio.  The current owners apparently didn’t touch the famous space and described it as a “sound-proof home office” in the listing.

The 31,000 square feet home offers five acres, a gym, massive dine-in kitchen, game room, gigantic walk-in closets, tennis court, hot tub and an indoor pool.

Liane Dobson, the realtor overseeing the home’s sale, told the outlet, “It’s such a unique opportunity not just to be part of a piece of history, but also to own a special home.”

Whitney died in 2012.  She was 48.

The Grateful Dead has unveiled plans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s historic 1972 European tour — highlights from which appear on the group’s popular triple album, Europe ’72 — with a variety of special releases and events.

Among the releases is Lyceum 1972: The Complete Recordings, a limited-edition 24-LP package due out July 29 that will be the largest vinyl box set ever from the band. The collection presents the entire final four shows of the ’72 trek, which took place at London’s Lyceum Theatre.

The discs for each show are organized in separate clamshell boxes, and the package also includes a book offering an in-depth look at the concerts. Lyceum 1972 can be pre-ordered now exclusively at Dead.net.

Also on July 29, a newly remastered 50th anniversary edition the Europe ’72 album will be released as a two-CD set, a three-LP  collection, and via digital formats and streaming. A special “Bozo or Bolo” limited edition version of the album pressed on psychedelic rainbow vinyl will be released on June 3 exclusively at Dead.net.

In addition, a four-CD set titled Lyceum Theatre: May 26, 1972, featuring a recording of the very last show of the European tour, will be released on July 29.

To kick off the 50th anniversary commemoration of the 1972 European tour, the fifth season of “The Good Ol’ Grateful Deadcast” premiered today with an episode that delves deeply into the trek.

Then, on Friday, April 8, a livestream event called “Dead Studies: The Wonders of Dark Star” will premiere on The Grateful Dead’s YouTube channel. The event will feature a musicology professor presenting an analysis of the band’s first performance of “Dark Star” during the 1972 trek, which happened at London’s Wembley Empire Pool on April 8.

The knives come out when chefs sabotage chefs in TBS’ ‘Rat in the Kitchen’

TBS/John Nowak

A rat in your kitchen is arguably a bad thing — unless it’s Remy, that lovable, scampering chef from Ratatouille — but TBS’ Rat in the Kitchen takes that to another level.

“It’s part cooking competition that you’re used to, but then Knives Out, sort of a whodunnit,” describes stand-up comic and co-host Natasha Leggero

Each episode features a group of chefs, plying their skills in an effort to win a cash prize, but that’s where the similarities to other shows end, she explains. A “rat” is chosen in secret before the competition begins, and their job is to secretly screw up the dishes presented to Leggero, and her co-host, legendary chef Ludo Lefebvre

“[T]hey are there to sabotage the rest of the chefs’ dishes, and they are all working together as a team — including that rat. So nobody knows who the rat is. So everybody is sort of suspecting everybody,” Leggero explains.

Sometimes, however, the surprise is that the chef messes up a dish all on their own, Ludo admits. “I mean, look, in the show, I eat some amazing dish[es], and I eat some very bad dish[es], like disgusting dish[es]. So definitely sometimes you feel that the rat [sabotaged] the dish because it’s very bad. And at the end, you realize he was not the rat.”

“Right,” Leggero adds with a laugh. “His grandmother gave him a bad recipe…”

She adds she wanted to be part of the show — particularly because she can’t cook — so she’s happy to just serve up the comedy. “Ludo is funny, but he is like, extremely serious about food. And, so you know, I think it’s just a good combo.”

Rat in the Kitchen airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on TBS.

Pink Floyd has teamed up with singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk of Ukrainian band Boombox to record a new song titled “Hey Hey Rise Up” in support of the people of Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country.

The track is being released via streaming formats globally at midnight on Friday, April 8, while a companion music video has premiered at Pink Floyd’s YouTube channel.

This marks the first new original music Pink Floyd has recorded as a band since the 1994 album The Division Bell. The group’s lineup for the track was guitarist David Gilmour, drummer Nick Mason and longtime Pink Floyd touring bassist Guy Pratt, as well as Nitin Sawhney on keyboards, and the aforementioned Khlyvnyuk on lead vocals.

The track, which was recorded on Wednesday, March 30, uses vocals taken from a recent Instagram post showing Andriy singing the Ukrainian protest song “The Red Viburnum in the Meadow” while standing in Sofiyskaya Square in the city of Kyiv. The song, which was written during World War I, has become an anthem in Ukraine protesting Russia’s invasion.

Gilmour, who has a Ukrainian daughter-in-law, says, “We, like so many, have been feeling the fury and the frustration of this vile act of an independent, peaceful democratic country being invaded and having its people murdered by one of the world’s major powers.”

David got to know Boombox when he played with the band — minus Khlyvnyuk — at a 2015 concert in London. After seeing Andriy’s Instagram video, he was inspired to write music to accompany the vocals, and “Hey Hey Rise Up” was born.

Regarding the track, Gilmour says, “I hope it will receive wide support and publicity. We want to raise funds for humanitarian charities, and raise morale.”

The boys of BTS are a tight-knit group, but their bond might become even more intense after teased they’re all thinking of getting matching tattoos.

Teen Vogue reports the tattoos would celebrate the Grammy nominees’ long-lasting friendship, which is over a decade old.  While BTS was signed in 2013, they first formed in 2010 when they were in their early to mid-teens.

V was chatting with fans on the Korean messaging app Weverse and began talking about matching tattoos.  Translated from Korean, he explained, “The members and I always talk about getting a friendship tattoo.  We’re going to get a friendship tattoo at some point, please await it.”  He also revealed Suga was first to suggest the idea.

While he didn’t reveal anything about a possible design or theme, he did include a tiger emoji, which could be a reference to their webcomic 7Fates: CHAKHO.  The story is set in Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, which lasted from the late 1300s to late 1800s, and follows seven tiger hunters based on the BTS members, who are bound by fate to track down an elusive tiger.

Fans also pressed V over where the “Butter” singers would get their matching tattoos, and he remarked he will put his “somewhere you can’t see it.”

Several BTS members already have tattoos, with Jimin adding more to his ink collection all the time, while Jungkook opted to get a sleeve on his right arm.
