Get ready to do a little dance and drink a little water at the Billboard Music Awards.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform at the 2022 edition of the ceremony, airing May 15 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. The set will mark the “Give It Away” outfit’s first BBMA performance in 23 years.

The Peppers have certainly made an impression on the Billboard charts this year: their new album, Unlimited Love, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with the biggest week for a rock record in over a year, while lead single “Black Summer” is the number-one song on the Alternative Airplay chart, and is number three on the Mainstream Rock Airplay ranking.

While the Chilis aren’t BBMA nominees themselves this year — Unlimited Love was released after the 2022 eligibility period — those competing for the Top Rock Artist prize include Machine Gun Kelly, Twenty One Pilots, Måneskin, Imagine Dragons and Glass Animals.

Kelsea Ballerini on why getting her first tattoo was liberating

Tattoos often hold special meaning, and that rings true for Kelsea Ballerini.

The Knoxville native signed her record deal when she was 19, and admits that she soon “panicked,” thinking that if she were ever to get a tattoo one day, that people would assume that she was out of control. But rather than letting others’ preconceived notions get the best of her, Kelsea took matters into her own hands and got her first tattoo in 2014, the line “how sweet the sound” from the classic hymn, “How Great Thou Art,” on her left forearm.

“I had this whole thing in my head and I went to the tattoo shop and I got a tattoo the day before my first ever photo shoot. It was my way of going ‘I need to find a way to be consistent. I need to find a way to keep it as real as I can from day one of this public facing journey that I’m hopefully going to be on,'” she explains to Aerie about the rationale behind getting the special tat.

Kelsea’s ink collection has since expanded to three tattoos, one on her ribcage that features the word “love” written twice in her mother and father’s handwriting, and a square inside a circle placed just below her wrist in honor of her song, “Square Pegs.”

Toni Cornell, daughter of the late Chris Cornell, performed her cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U” during Monday night’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The 17-year-old delivered a stirring rendition of the Prince-written track, which Sinéad O’Connor turned into a hit in the early ’90s. Toni previously performed “Nothing Compares 2 U” last December on The Tonight Show. In 2018, Toni released a duet version of the song that she recorded with her dad ahead of his death in 2017.

Proceeds from the duet version will be donated to the International Rescue Committee humanitarian aid organization, for which Toni is an ambassador.

Chris, of course, covered “Nothing Compares 2 U” several times throughout his career. A recording of the cover is featured on the posthumous compilation No One Sings Like You Anymore Vol. 1, which was released in 2020. Both No One Sings Like You Anymore and the “Nothing Compares 2 U” cover were nominated for Grammys this year.

(COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz.) — A woman died after she was caught on a fence along the U.S.-Mexico border, according to a local sheriff’s office.

On April 11, Cochise County, Arizona, deputies were dispatched to a section of the border where they found a 32-year-old woman hanging upside down, the sheriff’s office said in a statement posted on Facebook.

“The woman reportedly climbed onto the top of the International Border wall and when attempting to maneuver down on the US side via a harness similar to rappelling, her foot/leg became entangled and she was trapped upside down for a significant amount of time,” the statement said.

An autopsy was being conducted to figure out exactly how the woman died.

“These types of incidents are not political, they are humanitarian realities that someone has lost a loved one in a senseless tragedy,” Sheriff Mark Daniels said. “We have to do better in finding solutions to the challenges facing our border, and we have to do it for the right reasons. Regardless of opinions, it is the facts that should direct our progress and we will keep working towards a shared goal of border safety and security.”

In a statement, Customs and Border Protection told ABC News the incident is under investigation.

“On April 11, 2022, Tucson Sector Agents received information from the emergency services dispatch in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico of an incident approximately 10 miles west of the Douglas Port of Entry at the International Boundary Barrier,” a CBP spokesman told ABC News.

“Border Patrol Agents and local emergency services responded to the scene and located an individual who was transported to a local hospital. Personnel from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office and CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility are investigating; more information will be shared as it becomes available,” the spokesman said.

The incident comes as Customs and Border Protection had over 220,000 encounters with migrants along the southwest border in March, the third-highest on record.

ABC News’ Quinn Owen contributed to this report.

Camila Cabello rose to fame the same way Harry Styles did — by trying out for The X Factor and becoming part of a major pop group. But the former Fifth Harmony singer hinted Harry can take some credit for her success story.

“This is really embarrassing and I can only say this because, obviously, that was, like, 10 years ago but I literally was like, ‘I’m auditioning for X Factor because I will marry Harry Styles. Like, I will.’ I really believed that at the time,” the 25-year-old singer confessed to James Corden during an edition of “Carpool Karaoke” Monday.

Camila added her then-15-year-old self hoped she’d meet the former One Direction singer and they would “fall in love.”

“That’s the first time I’ve ever confessed the real intention behind me auditioning for X Factor,” she deadpanned.

While Camila said she was excited to join Fifth Harmony at first, she revealed she enjoys her solo career because “I don’t miss splitting creative decisions five ways.” She added, “There’s no hard feelings… We were so young. I’m such a different person.”

The “Havana” singer also recalled how she came to America, revealing she and her mother, who did not speak English, crossed the Mexican border when she was a child. Camila revealed her father later “swam… across the border” to be with them.

“I remember my family was like, ‘You’re going to Disney World!’ I had no idea what was happening,” she recalled. “I just had my little diary and… My Monsters Inc. doll. And that was it.”

Camila and Corden performed her hits “Havana,” “Don’t Go Yet” and “Bam Bam,” and a cover of The Killers‘ “Mr. Brightside.”

It was just a few weeks ago that Nicki Minaj and Fivio Foreign dropped the New York drill track, “We Go Up,” and now, the music video is expected any day.

“Drop it or nah?” Nicki said, sharing a preview to her Instagram on Monday. The 30-second clip shows the “Chun-Li” rapper among a sea full of luxury cars and people, who all seem to be repping Nicki’s hometown of Southside Jamaica, Queens.

The song debuted on March 25, shooting to number one on the iTunes charts just an hour after its release. “#NoVideo #NoRadio #NoPlaylisting #NoDiscount #NoPromo Not a Republic Records single, no bag on it, just a surprise for the fans,” Nicki said in celebration of the achievement.

“We Go Up” is the latest of a few collaborations from Nicki with other rap artists. She and Lil Baby‘s “Do We Have a Problem?” debuted at number one on the Digital Songs Sales Charts, which was followed by the highly popular “Blick Blick,” with Coi Leray

(BOSTON) — It was a triumphant and emotional moment for Henry Richard as he threw his arms up in the air and crossed the finish line at the Boston Marathon Monday.

Nine years ago, Henry’s younger brother, Martin Richard, was one of three people who were killed when two bombs detonated near the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, 2013. Martin was 8 years old at the time.

Henry told ABC Boston affiliate WCVB-TV that he thought about his brother while running the course’s 26.2 miles.

“I know if he was here, either this year or the next coming years, he would have been doing it with me. So that’s all I could think about,” Henry said.

Henry had his brother’s name written in black marker on his right arm and his sister’s name on his left arm for the occasion, he said. He also wore a yellow jersey with the word “Peace” written on it, underneath “Team MR8,” the logo for the Martin Richard Foundation. The organization was launched in 2014 in Martin’s honor, to promote the values of “inclusion, kindness, justice and peace,” according to its website.

Before he reached the finish line, Henry also paused at the marathon’s memorial with a teammate and after he crossed the finish line, he shared an embrace with his parents, Denise and Bill Richard, and his sister, Jane Richard.

“So many people were out there for me. All my friends, my family. Motivation was the least of my worries. There was so many people there to support me. It was wonderful and I couldn’t believe it,” Henry told WCVB.

Henry added that he would definitely run another Boston Marathon in the years to come.

“I loved every second of it and this feels so great, I can’t wait to do it again,” he said.

Monday’s race was the 126th running of the Boston Marathon and passed through eight Massachusetts towns: Hopkinton, Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton and Brookline, before finishing on Boylston Street in Boston. The top finishers this year were Evans Chebet for the men’s division, who clocked in at 2 hours, 6 minutes, 51 seconds, and Peres Jepchirchir for the women’s division, who finished in 2 hours, 21 minutes, 1 second, ESPN reported.
