The first of seven NFTs from Quentin Tarantino‘s Pulp Fiction has sold at auction for $1.1 million.

As previously reported, the filmmaker curated a set of seven non-fungible tokens related to his Oscar-winning crime classic, with each promising exclusive access to seven scenes, including audio commentary and handwritten notes that promise “a unique look into the mind and creative process of Quentin Tarantino.”

After a bidding war — including “multiple bids in the six to seven figure range,” the first chapter, “Royale with Cheese,” was just purchased for $1.1 million, by an NFT collective called AnonDAO. The collective is dedicated to “the advancement of infrastructure protecting people’s right to privacy.”

The remaining six NFTs are set to auction daily through January 31. According to SCRT Labs, which is orchestrating the auction, “Only the purchaser has the power to see, sell and show the art to other people.”

“This groundbreaking NFT sale represents a monumental moment for our community, Quentin, and the Secret Network,” said Guy Zyskind, Founder and CEO of SCRT Labs in a statement.

The remaining chapters will be auctioned on the following dates:

Chapter #2, “Pumpkin and Honey Bunny”: January 24, 2022

Chapter #3, “Foot Massage”: January 25, 2022

Chapter #4, “Check Out the Big Brain on Brett”: January 26, 2022

Chapter #5, “Captain Koons Monologue – The Gold Watch”: January 27, 2022

Jeopardy! phenomenon Amy Schneider opened up to Good Morning America Monday about her experience on the quiz show.

Schneider, who is currently tied with Matt Amodio with the second-longest winning streak in Jeopardy! history, told George Stephanopoulos, “I never expected to do this well.”

She added the “main secret” of her success is “just being curious and spending my life learning a lot of stuff.” That said, Schneider was once voted by classmates as, “most likely to be on Jeopardy!”

“I mean, I was good in school. I got good grades, I won the spelling bee. So yeah, I definitely — I did expect to be on Jeopardy! and to do all right, just never expected to do it quite this well,” she confessed.

Schneider admitted she had an interesting way of getting ready for the game show’s “buzzer,” which contestants use to offer their answers to the hosts. “I practiced at home with a ball-point pen,” she said.

However, Schneider said, “that first game, it wasn’t quite working as well as it needed to.” She added, “For whatever reason I decided to throw that out and stop thinking about it and purely try to go on instinct…”

One other thing Schneider wasn’t prepared for? Fame, she told Stephanopoulos. “There’s a bit of a gap between the taping and the airing, so I did have some time to like get used to the idea,” she laughed. “I didn’t really know what it would be or how famous is Jeopardy! famous. So it’s been a lot, but it’s mostly been just really fun.”

Schneider added, “I think that the best part for me has been being on TV, you know, as my true self, expressing myself and representing the entire community of trans people and … just being, you know, a smart, confident woman and doing something super normal like being on Jeopardy!”

Snoop Dogg is so excited about performing during the Super Bowl halftime show, he’s giving away tickets to the big game.

The “Sensual Seduction” rapper is offering a chance to win two free tickets through a contest with his INDOGGO liquor brand.

To enter into the sweepstakes, fans should follow the INDOGGO Instagram account, post a photo or video with a bottle of INDOGGO, tag the brand along with the hashtag #IndoggoSweepstakes, and tag who they are bringing to the game.

INDOGGO is gluten-free, sugar-free and low-calorie gin which Snoop launched in September 2020.

The two teams who will play in the Super Bowl will be determined on Sunday, January 30. The Los Angeles Rams host the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC Championship, and the Kansas City Chiefs will be home to play the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC title. The winners of those two games will face off on February 13 at Super Bowl 56.

As previously reported, Pepsi dropped a cinematic trailer for the Super Bowl halftime show last week. Created by Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray, the trailer is titled “The Call,” and it features four of the halftime headliners — Snoop, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar — all receiving a mysterious call that makes them rush off by plane, car and bicycle to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the site of the big game.

As each performer appears in the trailer, we hear one of their hits: Eminem’s “Rap God,” “The Next Episode” featuring Snoop, “Family Affair” by Mary J, and Lamar’s “HUMBLE.”

The call comes from the fifth headliner, Dr. Dre, introduced by his hit “Still D.R.E.” He meets the other performers outside the stadium as we hear Tupac‘s “California Love” featuring Dre, who also produced the classic track.

FINNEAS may appear calm, cool and collected — but he’s just as awkward as the rest of us.  Over the weekend, the singer took to Instagram to share a cringeworthy moment he had with Taylor Swift — at her own birthday party.

While conducting a question and answer session on Stories, a fan asked FINNEAS to recount his most embarrassing moment.  He revealed that it was that time he walked up to greet Taylor at her own party, and got a little flustered.

“I said ‘thanks for coming’ to Taylor Swift,” he shared, according to screenshots taken by Buzzfeed. “Meant to say ‘thanks for inviting me’ or whatever obviously.”

Sadly, FINNEAS did not reveal how Taylor reacted to the faux pas or whether or not his sister, Billie Eilish, has teased him about it — as siblings should.

In 2019, The Melvins performed Soundgarden‘s classic “Spoonman” at the Chris Cornell tribute concert I Am the Highway. Now, the grunge pioneers have shared a recorded version of the track, with Matt Cameron of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam on drums.

The Melvins have also shared a video for the track, which appears on the EP Lord of the Flies.

As a member of Soundgarden, Cameron drummed on the original version of “Spoonman,” which appears on their best-selling album Superunknown. On the cover version, he and Melvins drummer Dale Crover play together.

The Melvins were just one of the numerous artists who performed at the January 2019 tribute concert I Am the Highway.  The bill also included Foo Fighters, Metallica, Miley Cyrus, Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall of Alice in Chains, Perry Farrell, Jack Black, Fiona Apple, Josh Homme and Peter Frampton, just to name a few.

The albums will be released in groups, with the first group being available to purchase from January 27 through January 31st, exclusively via the app for the livestream shopping platform NTWRK. All profits will go to a charity foundation which is building a school in L.A.

The first group includes Billie Eilish‘s debut EP don’t smile at me, plus iconic albums by rappers Eminem, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar. The release dates for the other albums haven’t yet been announced.

Meanwhile, the actual art exhibit will be on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from January 30 to February 13. For more info, visit LACMA.org.

ABC

Kelsea Ballerini is appreciating the little joys in life in a new song.

Kelsea treated the audience at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday night to a brand new song which she debuted live for the first time.  The singer shared she is in the early stages of making her new album, and one of the themes that keeps arising is using the forced downtime of the COVID-19 pandemic to take into account what we’re grateful for.

“It’s made you look at what you have differently. For me, I’ve started to really appreciate the little things a lot more,” she expressed.

Kelsea carries this mentality into the unreleased track wherein the lyrics state that comparison is the thief of joy, while encouraging others to honor where you’re at in life. “I got a roof over my head/I’ve got a warm body in bed/I’m doing alright/Right where I’m at/With what I have,” she relays in the chorus.

“This is a song that I’m really proud of,” Kelsea told the audience. “Maybe if you like it, I’ll put it on the album.”

Kelsea’s current single “Half of My Hometown,” a collaboration with Kenny Chesney, is climbing up the charts, sitting inside the top 10 on country radio.

Ringo Starr plays drums on a brand-new song by Men at Work frontman Colin Hay called “Now and the Evermore,” which is the title track of Hay’s forthcoming solo album.

Hay, who happens to be a current member of Ringo’s All Starr Band, will release the new album on March 18, while the song is available now as a digital single.

“‘Now and the Evermore’ is a reminder to myself, to make the most of what time I have left walking around on top of the planet,” Colin says about the tune. “When I listen to it, it transports me back to when I thought I had all the time in the world. It is a song which is unashamedly inspired by the majesty of The Beatles, and the gift they gave us all. Having Ringo Starr play on the track, is more than icing on the cake.”

Hay wrote and recorded the Now and the Evermore album in his adopted hometown of Los Angeles. A press statement describes the 10-track collection as “a defiantly joyful celebration of life and love, one that insists on finding silver linings and reasons to smile.” The record finds the 68-year-old singer-songwriter reflecting on loss and mortality, while exploring such genres as vintage pop, pub rock and folk.

You can pre-order Now and the Evermore now. Hay will support the album with a solo U.S. tour that’s mapped out from a March 18 concert in Fort Collins, Colorado, through a May 12 show in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Colin also will be hitting the road this year with Ringo’s All Starr Band, which kicks off a U.S. trek on June 2 in Boston.

Here’s the album’s full track list:

“Now and the Evermore”
“Love Is Everywhere”
“Into the Bright Lights”
“The Sea of Always”
“Starfish and Unicorns”
“A Man Without a Name”
“Undertow”
“All I See Is You”
“Agatha Bell”
