The Netflix series Emily in Paris is so popular that it’s easy to forget that its star, Lily Collins, has a father who’s even more famous than she is — but she reminded fans of that fact yesterday on Instagram.
Lily’s dad, Phil Collins, celebrated his 71st birthday on Sunday, and she posted a sweet tribute to him, sharing a photo of herself as a baby on his shoulders. She wrote, “Happy birthday, Dad. I may no longer fit in your arms or sit comfortably on your shoulders but you continue to hug me tightly when I need it most.”
“We may not get to spend time together that often but when we are face to face, you really do see me,” she added. “You may not always believe it but please trust me when I say, no matter how old I get or what life may bring, I will always need you.”
“Whether I’m proudly watching you up on stage, laughing at home together playing trivial pursuit, I’m forever grateful for the moments and memories we share,” Lily concluded. “Especially the ones I now cherish as an adult myself. Thank you for inspiring me and supporting the woman I am today. I love you to the moon and back again.”
Lily is Phil’s daughter with his second wife, Jill Tavelman. He also has a son and a daughter with his first wife, Andrea Bertorelli, and two sons with his third wife, Orianne Cevey. His eldest son with Cevey, Nicholas, is serving as the drummer for Phil’s current tour with Genesis, which starts its next leg in March.
Lily, who was born in England but raised in the U.S., is a Golden Globe-nominated actress who’s appeared in numerous movies and TV series.
Former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst died Sunday, her family confirmed. She was 30 years old.
In a statement, Kryst’s family wrote, “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie. Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength.”
“She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined,” Kryst’s family added. “Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on Extra. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague — we know her impact will live on.”
Kryst died after falling from a New York City high-rise, according to the New York Police Department. The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled her death a suicide.
Just hours before the incident, Kryst shared a photo of herself on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
Kryst was crowned Miss USA as Miss North Carolina in May 2019. She earned her law degree and an MBA at Wake Forest University. Following her graduation, Kryst became licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina and worked as a civil litigation attorney. She also worked pro bono for clients who were low-level drug offenders.
In response to the news of her death, Extra paid tribute to the former Miss USA winner and said, “our hearts are broken.”
“Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show, she was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.”
Kryst spoke out about mental health during her reign as Miss USA, saying she spoke with a counselor and took steps to protect her mental health.
“I do a lot to maintain my mental health, and the most important thing that I did is talk to a counselor,” she wrote in a post on the Miss USA Facebook page in 2019.
“When I’m not talking to a counselor, I take time at the end of every single day to just decompress. I unplug. I shut my phone off. I don’t answer messages. I just sit and watch my favorite movies.”
If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, or worried about a friend or loved one, help is available. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 [TALK] for free confidential emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even if it feels like it, you are not alone.
A Change.org petition requesting that Travis Scott be added to the 2022 Coachella lineup has been removed due to fake signatures.
“We are deeply committed to the experience of our users, which means prioritising accuracy, and finding and eliminating fraud,” the site said in a statement. “We have a range of automated systems and teams dedicated to blocking and removing double or fake signatures and detect other fraudulent activity.”
As previously reported, after a petition was created in November demanding that the “Sicko Mode” rapper not be allowed to perform at the next Coachella festival, a competing petition requested that Scott to be added to the 2023 lineup.
Scott fan James Connors launched the Change.org petition. He wrote, “Coachella switched Travis and Frank [Ocean] for Harry Styles and Billie Eilish? What kind of message does that send? Fans are demanding refunds and selling their tickets. Coachella needs to fix this asap. We all know Astroworld tragedy wasn’t Travis fault.”
Connors boasted that he had more than 70,000 signatures; however, last week, the website listed less than 5,000 signatures as fake signatures were removed.
Scott was originally scheduled to perform at this year’s Coachella, but following the Astroworld festival tragedy, which resulted in 10 deaths and numerous injuries, he was removed from the bill.
Over 64,000 people signed a previous Change.org petition asking Coachella promoter Goldenvoice to drop the Houston MC him from the event.
After Coachella was canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic, the annual California festival will return in April with Kanye West among the headliners.
The lineup also features Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Ari Lennox, Baby Keem, Big Sean, City Girls, Cordae, Daniel Caesar, Giveon, Lil Baby and many more.
Jon Favreau, director of Iron Man and its sequel, as well as The Lion King and Jungle Book, and the creator of The Mandalorian, is being honored by the people in Hollywood who make stars look their best.
The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild will virtually present the filmmaker with its Distinguished Artisan award on February 19, at a ceremony at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett co-star Ming-Na Wen will present the honor.
In a statement, guild president Julie Socash praised Favreau for being “highly respected by make-up artists and hair stylists worldwide,” and noted that the filmmaker’s “list of creative, exotic and memorable characters lives on in his plethora of films, television movies and series.”
Socash called Favreau “the ultimate collaborator,” who “has worked alongside many [guild members] to help create memorable characters of all kinds in a myriad of different roles.”
Favreau, an executive producer and co-star of many Marvel Cinematic Universe films, is in good company. Previous recipients include Eddie Murphy, Patrick Stewart, Melissa McCarthy, Academy Award winner Gary Oldman, Johnny Depp, and Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro.
Machine Gun Kelly‘s Born with Horns album is getting a new title.
The “Bloody Valentine” rocker revealed the news in a TikTok alongside producer Travis Barker. And while an album name change might not be that big a deal in normal circumstances, Kelly and Barker had previously gotten the phrase “Born with Horns” tattooed on their arms.
At the beginning of the video, Kelly asks Barker, “We’re friends no matter what, right?”, to which the Blink-182 drummer replies, “Yeah, of course.”
When Kelly then asks if Barker remembers getting the Born with Horns tattoos, Barker soon realizes what he’s about to learn.
“I’m changing the album name,” Kelly says as both he and Barker, ever the good sport, double over laughing. The TikTok then ends with the new title reveal: Mainstream Sellout.
Mainstream Sellout is one of two new MGK albums due out this year, and is expected to feature the single “Papercuts.” Unless, of course, Kelly changes his mind on that, too.
Over the weekend, Kelly teased an upcoming new song called “Cherry Red Lipstick” with WILLOW.

Sean Penn made headlines last week for his comments about what he sees as feminization of American men, and now Westworld‘s Thandiwe Newton is flaming him for it.
On Sunday, Newton tweeted Penn a link to a story about the comments he made to overseas news outlets, along with a message directed at him that begins, “Dude what are you SAY-ING??” and is accompanied by three “crying laughing” emoji.
As previously reported, 61-year-old Penn told the U.K.-based publication The i, “I am in the club that believes that men in American culture have become wildly feminized.”
To The Independent, Penn added, “There are a lot of, I think, cowardly genes that lead to people surrendering their jeans and putting on a skirt.”
Newton post continues,”Like for REAL? You’re a jibbering FOOL. MF you used to be sexy but now you’re just tragic.”
In a separate tweet, the actress expressed outrage about how Penn made his comments alongside his 30-year-old daughter and Flag Day co-star Dylan Penn.
“In front of your DAUGHTER!?” Newton said. “That poor little mite. Thank God her Mum’s so dope,” meaning Penn’s ex-wife Robin Wright.
“Please stop ruining the brilliance of #LicoricePizza with this nonsense,” Thandiwe closed, referencing director Paul Thomas Anderson‘s recent critically lauded film in which Penn plays a supporting role.
The outfits BTS wore during last year’s Grammy Awards have sold for five times over their original estimate at auction.
Julien’s Auctions held the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction over the weekend and say in an official press release that the outfits, which the septet wore to perform “Dynamite,” sold for a whopping $160,000. That wasn’t the only piece of paraphernalia BTS donated to the cause. Selling for 16 times over its estimate was their signed Epiphone Brand 56 Les Paul Pro Ebony Electric Guitar, which went for $64,000.
In addition, three rings belonging to J-Hope hit the auction block and were snatched up for $24,320.
BTS weren’t the only powerhouses to donate items to the charity auction.
Harry Styles donated a signed single of “Watermelon Sugar” that was inscribed with “All my love to you. Treat People with Kindness.” He also threw in three Polaroid pictures and the lot sold for $12,800. In addition, Katy Perry gifted the “California Girls” snowflake ensemble that she used in 2010’s “The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night,” which sold for $11,520.
Lastly, the auction contained a piece of clothing from the late Amy Winehouse — a strapless terracotta silk mini dress designed by Matthew Williams that she wore in 2007 — it was purchased for $25,000
All proceeds went to the charity MusiCares, which benefits those in need in the music community.
Over the weekend, Blake Shelton was performing in his home state of Oklahoma at the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant when he spotted a six-year-old fan, Wyatt McKee, in the crowd holding up a sign that read, “Your smallest biggest fan from Lake Texoma, 6 yo waiting on a [heart] transplant!!”
Blake made Wyatt’s dream come true when he invited him onstage to sing his favorite song, “God’s Country.” Kneeling down to Wyatt’s level, Blake incorporates his signature sense of humor into the interaction, asking the young fan if he wants to sing the chorus or the verses. “Just whatever? You didn’t think this all the way through. That’s okay, I never do either,” Blake jokes.
All kidding aside, the superstar wraps his arm around Wyatt, who was wearing a backpack that contains his medication, the six-year-old adorably sticking his hands in his pockets as he sings with Blake, who ends the performance by wrapping Wyatt in a hug.
“This little buddy made my night. Thank you for singing ‘God’s Country’ with me Wyatt!” Blake praises alongside the video of the special moment.
Wyatt’s mother, Harley McKee, shared with Music Mayhemthat her son was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome wherein part of his heart did not grow properly. After two surgeries by the time he was six months old, Wyatt has been placed on a transplant list and is waiting for a match.
“He was just walking on cloud 9 like he was the coolest kid there!” Harley says about her son’s reaction to performing with the superstar.
“God’s Country” is featured on Blake’s 2019 album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country. It became his 26th #1 single that same year.
