New Music Friday features two dance-floor bangers and a new take on a song that’s more than 50 years old.

When Black Eyed Peas first teamed up with David Guetta, the result was the #1 smash “I Gotta Feeling.” When they first teamed up with Shakira, the result was the global hit “Girl Like Me.” Now, all three of those artists have come together on a new song called “Don’t You Worry,” from the Peas’ upcoming ninth album. There’s also a big-budget alien-themed video.

The latest release from Madonna’s upcoming dance compilation Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones is the “Ray of Light (Ultra Violet Mix)” by Sasha. The remix of the title track of Madonna’s 1998 album was #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart 24 years ago. There’s also a 4K HD remastered version of the video for the track. The 16-track streaming version of Finally Enough Love drops June 24.

Finally, Måneskin, whose hit cover of “Beggin'” proves they’re great at reimagining other artists’ songs, have put their spin on Elvis Presley‘s 1968 single “If I Can Dream” for the soundtrack of the upcoming movie ELVIS. The band’s Damiano David told NME, “The meaning of the song is very contemporary: ‘If I can dream of a better land/Where all my brothers walk hand in hand.’ It’s about uniting, it’s about peace, freedom and happiness, and it’s coming out at the right moment.”

“We’re really proud of what we did and to be part of this project,” he adds. “I have a feeling it’s going to be amazing.”

It might not be summer quite yet — the season officially starts next Tuesday, June 21 — but it’ll sure feel like summer at Dolly Parton’s Dollywood theme park this weekend with the launch of the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration.

That means the return of the Sweet Summer Nights drone and fireworks show as well as the Gazillion Bubble Show Aurora, which will take place in the park’s Celebrity Theater.

As the summer fun heats up, park-goers can cool off with Dollywood’s newly-renovated Splash Country Water Park, which opened last month. Little Creek Falls, the pool area geared toward the youngest visitors, has been reimagined as a splash pad where babies and toddlers can play.

It’ll feature new pop jets, flowers and other colorful attractions; plus the butterfly shade structures are getting a colorful makeover, and some will be used to shade the play area.

To plan your Dollywood vacation, head over to the park’s website for ticketing and details about places to stay, different park attractions and much more.

Avril Lavigne reflected on the single that helped cement Kelly Clarkson‘s place in the pop music world — “Breakaway.”

In a behind-the-scenes video about the single, which Avril wrote while creating her debut studio album Let Go, the Canadian singer explained how it wound up in Kelly’s possession.

“So I wrote this song and it didn’t end up on the album. It was an outtake,” Avril revealed. “It took on a life of its own when it went to Kelly and Kelly Clarkson’s had this huge career… It was one of her earlier singles.”

Kelly released “Breakaway” in 2004 when it was first included on The Princess Diaries 2 soundtrack. The song became such a hit, the American Idowinner reissued it as a single and renamed her sophomore album after it.

Looking back at the twists and turns life has taken the both of them in the years since, Avril remarked, “Time has flown by. It feels like a lifetime.”

The singer added it “felt fitting” to “do my own version” of the song to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Let Go.  Avril said it “brought back the memories of what the song was written about, which was taking a leap of faith.  Leaving a small town, going to the big city and following my dreams.”

The “Love It When You Hate Me” singer has since re-released Let Go as an anniversary edition complete with six bonus tracks — including “Breakaway.”

In addition, Avril has teamed with Instagram for an augmented reality game lens based off her 2002 hits “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated,” which fans can check out now on the app.

‘The Garcias’ creator deploys famous ass-et to promote HBO Max show for Emmys consideration

HBO Max evidently chose not to run “for your consideration” advertising to snag a possible Emmy for its sitcom The Garcias, but show creator Jeff Valdez wasn’t taking that sitting down.

He and his creative team have branded New York City’s Times Square themselves — up to and including one of the location’s most famous spaces, the backside of the so-called Naked Cowboy.

The guitar-playing fixture at the Crossroads of the World has been affixed with ad space promoting the show, in what publicists are calling a**-vertising, to try to snag the attention of Television Academy voters.

His guitar has been replaced with one reading FYC [for your consideration] featuring a cast photo, while his famous tighty-whities read “FYC Garcias.”

The Naked Cowboy, aka Robert John Burck, has become a one-man tourist attraction since he first wore his six-string, and not much else, in Times Square in 1998.

For over 40 years, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival has been taking place in New York’s Prospect Park. It’s one of the city’s longest-running outdoor performing arts festivals — and it’s free.

The summer-long festival kicked off last week and Executive Producer Diane Eber dished to ABC Audio on what festival-goers can expect.

“First and foremost, good vibes,” she shares. “We worked really hard to create those good vibes across the board. From our staff, from the moment you get in line, we want that experience to start.”

In addition to the good vibes, comes good music, and Eber assures they’re booking “a little bit of something for everyone.”

New to this year’s lineup is the Juneteenth UnityFest concert on Sunday, June 19, featuring some of the biggest gospel artists like Tye Tribbett, Deborah Cox, Israel Houghton, and more — and Eber credits Robert Randolph as the mastermind.

“He reached out to us,” she explains. “You know, we know him as an amazing guitarist and he had this vision and was like, ‘I’m doing this and I’m going to do it somewhere.’ And we were like, ‘Do it here.'”

“We worked closely with Robert Randolph Foundation and UnityFest to curate this, and it felt really important that it wasn’t us curating something, but that a Black artist came to us and was like, ‘This is how it should be, and that it was through their voice.'”

Whether you attend for the Juneteenth UnityFest or for another act, Eber expressed that “the core of what we do is providing a space for art and community to come together in a beautiful outdoor setting, which feels more important than ever now.”

“Our vision for this season is the concept of to gather together, the power of joy,” she adds.

Joe Jonas submits to lie detector test: “It always seems like a great idea on paper”

Joe Jonas submits to lie detector test: “It always seems like a great idea on paper”
Joe Jonas submits to lie detector test: “It always seems like a great idea on paper”

Joe Jonas couldn’t hide the truth when taking a lie detector test for Vanity Fair. The “Cake By the Ocean” singer admitted the idea sounded “like a great idea on paper” but soon regretted his choice.

The questioning started with a bang, asking if Nick Jonas was being honest when he declared himself the favorite child. With a sigh, Joe remarked that’s “very much so” the truth. “Thanks mom and dad,” he deadpanned.

Joe attested he wasn’t bothered that Nick is the golden child — but the lie detector stated otherwise. Then again, he confessed his parents are still bitter they weren’t told he and Sophie Turner eloped in Las Vegas.  DJ Diplo famously spilled the beans by livestreaming the supposed-to-be secret ceremony.

When asked about his brothers, the DNCE frontman stated he has the best vocal range, but when it came to naming the better songwriter, Nick was the winner in Joe’s mind.

When discussing other hot button topics, he confirmed the rumor that he was on the exclusive dating app, Raya, adding, “I mean, who wasn’t?” Joe also admitted to sliding into Turner’s DMs and said he did that to at least “10” others before finding love with his now-wife.

Speaking of Turner, Joe revealed he will “happily take the short king trophy” because the Game of Thrones star is taller than him. “Me and my wife have this debate for a long time now that I like to make her mad by making her think that we’re actually the same height,” he revealed. Joe added, “My type has always been tall women.”

Joe also revealed he threw his infamous purity ring “in the trash,” adding he thought it was “creepy” he was asked about his virginity so much when he was a teenager.
