Keanu Reeves made a U.K. couple’s wedding day even more special when he showed up at their reception.

The famously unaffected superstar was in the bar of a venue called Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire when new groom James Roadnight spotted him and invited him to their reception there, he tells Newsweek.

Bride Nikki tells the magazine, “He was very friendly and said he would later on. We didn’t know if he would or not but it was cool that my husband had spoken to him!”

However, an hour later, a hotel worker told the bride a “very special guest” would like a word with her outside the festivities. To their shock, it was John Wick himself.

Nikki recalled, “It was all very exciting and I went to say hi and introduce myself, and I offered him a drink, but he declined that and said he’d just had a long flight so wouldn’t stay long, but he was so kind and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding.”

Keanu even posed with the couple and their wedding guests.

“My mum, Jo, took photos and shouted for everyone to yell ‘Speed‘ as she took the photo,” Nikki said, referring to Keanu’s 1994 hit.

Netflix has announced that a titular workplace comedy set in the country’s sole surviving Blockbuster store will debut on November 3.

WandaVision co-star Randall Park stars in the sitcom, along with Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Melissa Fumero; Park plays Timmy, “an analog dreamer living in a 5G world,” who, along with his co-worker and longtime crush Eliza (Fumero), fights to stay relevant.

“The only way to succeed is to remind their community that they provide something big corporations can’t: human connection,” Netflix teases.

The 10-episode Blockbuster series also stars J.B. Smoove from Curb Your Enthusiasm, Endlings star Kamaia Fairburn and In The Heights Olga Merediz.

For the record, the last remaining Blockbuster is still operating in Bend, Oregon — and was itself the subject of a Netflix documentary.

After the actor’s repeated run-ins with the law, including arrests for harassment, accusations of assault, a burglary charge and more, it’s understandable Warner Bros. Discovery is nervous about its $250 million investment in the Ezra Miller-headlined The Flash.

Weeks after Batgirl, a much more moderately budgeted film by comparison, was shelved by the studio, The Hollywood Reporter notes Miller appeared at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank to take a meeting with top execs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy regarding the project’s future.

Miller, who uses they/them pronouns, recently said they were now seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues,” and wanted “to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with [their] past behavior.”

According to the trade, however, the mea culpa came after Miller learned the execs were willing to scrap the big-budget superhero film entirely.

A source told THR that Miller wasn’t particularly upset at the negative headlines they’d generated, but was willing to play ball for the sake of the Scarlet Speedster. “They care about The Flash,” the source said of Miller. “It’s one of their favorite characters to play.”

Although no parties commented officially on the sit-down, Miller was said to be “apologetic” and willing to do whatever it took to make sure the movie meets its June 23, 2023, release date.

Looks like the legal battle between Phil Collins and his third wife, Orianne Cevey, is over for now: Page Six reports that a judge has dismissed Orianne’s $20 million lawsuit against the superstar singer.

On Friday morning, Judge Alan Fine tossed the case, noting that Orianne had violated court orders 10 different times, and writing, “I’m done with this…I feel comfortable that enough is enough.”

Orianne, the mother of Phil’s two youngest children, was suing him for half the proceeds from the sale of his Miami mansion, which he sold last year for $40 million. She claimed that he’d promised to split the proceeds if she moved back in with him.

But Phil’s lawyer told Page Six, “Before she filed this case, Orianne…threatened to make disparaging remarks about Phil Collins unless he caved in to her demands for 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale.”

The lawyer noted, “Phil Collins has steadfastly maintained that Orianne’s lawsuit claiming an interest in his home was baseless because he never made [such] an agreement with her.”

Phil and Orianne were married from 1999 to 2007. She was legally married to another man from 2008 to 2017, but reunited with Phil in 2015 because, she claimed, he said he’d give her half the proceeds from the house if she moved back in with him — which he denied.

But then in 2020, while she was still living with Phil, she secretly married another man she’d selected from a male escort site, court papers said. Phil sued to eject the couple from the mansion so he could sell it.

With online fraud a multibillion-dollar threat to our connected world, a new company says it has what it takes to keep crooks from stealing your identity.

The Q5id app uses a biometric verification process that takes minutes to perform, but leads to a lifetime of protection, according to its new partner, John O’Hurley.

If the name sounds familiar, he’s the Seinfeld and Dancing with the Stars veteran who, as it turns out, really knows his stuff when it comes to online security.

“Now nobody has a better sense of identity theft than I do because I took J. Peterman‘s identity and I’m not giving it back,” he joked to ABC Audio.

“That being said, this company Q5id has, I believe, the best idea — and it’s creating a personal ID for you that you control.”

He explains you provide Q5id with a palm print, your government-issued ID, a voice sample and a retinal scan, “creating a depth of information that is absolutely irreplaceable.”

“The failure rate in this technology is one in 933 billion. So it is absolutely perfect,” he says.

Hurley later explained how his most famous role blurred the line between fantasy and reality. After Seinfeld ended, the actual J. Peterman Company expanded too rapidly and hit the skids, financially.

“They went into Chapter 11,” O’Hurley explains.

“And about six months later, I got a call from John Peterman. He said, ‘I have some investors and I’d like you to come on board with me.’ … and so I did. And so I was on the board and also an owner of the company, as well.”

He says with a laugh, “I liked the role so much I bought the company.”

Run Out Groove

Stone Temple Pilots have announced a vinyl reissue of the band’s 1992 debut album, Core, in honor of its 30th anniversary.

The four-LP package is due out September 23, ahead of the exact Core anniversary on September 29. Along with the original album, the reissue includes a collection of bonus demos, as well as live recordings from a July 1993 concert.

Neither the demos nor the live tracks have previously been available on vinyl.

Core introduced the world to STP and frontman Scott Weiland with singles including “Plush,” “Creep” and “Sex Type Thing.” The album’s been certified eight-times Platinum by the RIAA and was previously reissued in 2017 to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

STP followed Core with the equally successful Purple and released three more albums before breaking up in 2003. They reunited in 2008 before Weiland was fired in 2013 and replaced by Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington. Weiland died in 2015, and Bennington passed in 2017.

The current singer in STP is Jeff Gut, who has released two albums with the band.

New Music Friday: Selena Gomez, Guetta/Rexha, GAYLE, Grammer and more

Today’s New Music Friday features the official release of a viral TikTok tune; new collaborations from Selena Gomez and from Andy Grammer; and more.

Years ago, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha teamed up to record “I’m Good (Blue),” a remix of the 1998 Eiffel 65 hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee).” The song has recently gone viral on TikTok, and earlier this month Bebe wrote, “We never released it. I have no idea how it made it to tik tok but i love it! Cheers!” The song has officially been released as a single.

After teasing it, Selena Gomez has finally released “Calm Down,” a collab with Afrorave artist Rema that marks Selena’s introduction to the Afrobeat scene. There’s also a lyric video.

GAYLE has dropped a new single from her upcoming EP, a study of the human experience volume two, due out October 7. It’s called “god has a sense of humor,” and she says, “This song is about wanting to have hope, and being torn between a pessimistic and optimistic perspective on the world. Because at the end of the day, I want to believe that we’re all just doing our best.”

Tai Verdes has released a new single, “how deep?,” from his upcoming album HDTV, out September 16. He says it’s “a song that I made about not knowing anything. And I hope that when people hear it, they feel lost, but also found, but also lost. Love has a tendency to make you feel like that.” It comes with a video featuring Tai performing live in Australia.

Andy Grammer has teamed up with his tour mates Fitz & the Tantrums for a track called “The Wrong Party.”  Andy says of the song, “”When I first got to L.A. I remember trying to fit into a ‘scene’ and failing hilariously. Over time, I’ve been able to relax into my authentic self. I was just at the Wrong Party.”

JVKE is out with a new song, “i can’t help it,” an interpolation of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”  JVKE’s album this is what ___ feels like (Vol. 1-4) [“this is what blank feels like”] will be out September 23.

Drake‘s new hairdo has sparked a ton of jokes from his celebrity friends.

On Thursday, the rapper debuted his new look — a slicked back fro/mullet — on Instagram and asked his followers to “give this guy a name.” He was then met with a few amusing responses from friends and peers who took the opportunity to poke fun at him.

“RAZOR AUBREY RAMONE aka SCOTT HALL,” Quavo wrote in the comments. The Game suggested “Lionel Hella Richie,” and UGK‘s Bun B told Drake to call his new look “Slick Willie Brown.”

“Church Preach Tabernacle” — suggested by Snoop Dogg‘s son Cordell Broadus — and Popcaan‘s “Big pimpin me killy” were among the other funny names listed as a response to Drake’s new ‘do.

Drizzy’s new hairstyle arrives months after he made headlines for braiding his hair. He previously rocked what was then his signature fade.

It seems hard to believe, but Mickey Guyton’s baby boy, Grayson, isn’t such a baby anymore. The singer’s son, who was born in February 2021, is officially starting to form words.

“Oh my God, y’all, he’s talking!” Mickey gushed to ET Online on the red carpet of the ACM Honors awards show in Nashville on Wednesday.

“He’s saying words. He can say ‘octopus’ — or, he said ‘ocpus.’ And ‘dinosaur.’ It’s just crazy!” she continues, going on to say that little Grayson is also starting to understand what his mom does for a living.

“He really loves to see me [and hear me]. He’s at the point where he can, like, recall songs, so he knows it’s his mama,” Mickey details.

Grayson will get plenty of chances to see and hear his mom perform new music in the months ahead. She’s planning to put three new songs out this year, starting with “Somethin’ Bout You,” which is out Friday.
