Kelsea Ballerini is dropping all kinds of hints in regards to her upcoming album.

The hit singer took to TikTok yesterday to answer a variety of fan questions related to new music. “I’ve been super hesitant to share anything before it’s super ready because things have just been so subject to change the last few years, but it’s ready,” Kelsea says with a big smile about the upcoming album. “So more soon.”

She goes on to describe the sound of the record as “different than anything I’ve ever done,” as it’s “heavily influenced” by ’90s music of all genres but “definitely 90s female country.”

“I feel like you have to be true to your heart and your art, and that’s always what I’ve done, and this time around it really led me back to country, country,” she explains, adding that it also has a “pop flavor.”

When posed with the question of when the album will be arriving, Kelsea played coy but not without giving a big hint, zooming in on her necklace displaying a symbol of Virgo, the astrological sign that spans from August 23 to September 22. The singer will celebrate her 29th birthday on September 12.

As for when fans will hear her next single, it may be sooner than they think. “Not yes, but not no, and not after this time next week,” she hints in response to a fan inquiring if they can expect a new single soon.

Kelsea dropped the video for her current top 30 single, “Heartfirst,” on Friday.

GAYLE will see fans this fall when she heads out on what she says will be her “biggest” headlining tour.

The 18-year-old “abcdefu” singer has given her North American trek a rather tongue-in-cheek name, calling it the Avoiding College tour. The singer excitedly revealed she is heading back on the road on Monday, tweeting in capital letters, “AAH I’M GOING TOUR AGAIN!”

She also urged her fans in a separate post, “text me what city ur in if u wanna come to any shows and ill text you a code tomorrow.”

The singer heads out on tour on October 8 with her first official stop set in Oklahoma City’s Beer City Music Hall.  The 19-stop trek will take her to major cities such as Dallas, Texas; Seattle, Washington; Tampa, Florida; and New York City. GAYLE will bring things to a close with a final stop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 11.

This multi-date tour comes off the heels of her recently released EP, a study of the human experience volume one. A second volume is due out later this year, with GAYLE promising to reveal more about it in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the upcoming tour begin this Friday, July 15 at 10 a.m. local time on Gayle’s official website.

Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” broke the record for longest-running number one song on the Billboard Hot 100, due in part to its numerous remixes, and the rapper is vowing to keep his debut song a one trick pony.

Fans began lamenting that Lil Nas’ music eras have become super short and began asking why he didn’t extend his Montero era by giving songs like “Scoop” and “Dead Right Now” the same remix treatment he did for “Old Town Road.” The Grammy winner caught wind of the comments and announced he’s letting his music run its own course.

“yeah thst [sic] was a mistake on my part i admit, i was hoping to have new album ready and new material by april of this year but god said no,” he tweeted

When talking about releasing new remixes of his songs to keep them in the public eye, the “Panini” rapper explained, “i don’t wanna milk any of my songs like that again. it takes the fun out of creating new things.”

When we were first introduced to Lil Nas X and his debut single in 2019, he kept reinventing the song by releasing new remixes with featured artists such as BTS and Diplo. The gimmick worked, and the song stayed on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-smashing 19 weeks.

He’s hard at work on his sophomore album and has since released the new track “Late To Da Party” with Youngboy Never Broke Again. He also confirmed on Twitter the song will not be his new album’s lead single.

Joseph Quinn can shred in the Upside Down and the Right-side Up.

The Stranger Things actor, who plays the beloved Dungeons and Dragons-loving metalhead Eddie Munson, jams the Metallica classic “Master of Puppets” during a dramatic scene in the Netflix sci-fi series’ season four finale. And if you thought the performance was all camera trickery, think again.

The Stranger Things writers shared a video on Twitter of Quinn practicing the “Master of Puppets” riff behind the scenes and working on replicating James Hetfield‘s downpicking.

“Practice makes perfect,” the caption reads.

Along with Quinn’s playing, Tye Trujillo, son of ‘Tallica bassist Robert Trujillo, recorded guitar tracks for the scene.

Metallica previously issued a statement saying that they were “beyond psyched” and “totally blown away” by the “Master of Puppets” placement in Stranger Things. According to Billboard, streams of the song have increased 400% since the season four finale’s premiere on July 1.

As an extra thanks, Metallica sent a Master of Puppets box set to Stranger Things music supervisor Nora Felder.

The show must go on: Luke Bryan falls on stage but keeps singing

ABC

Luke Bryan took a tumble on stage, but he didn’t let it stop the show.

Performing in Raleigh over the weekend, a video captured by a fan shows the superstar busting out his signature hip swivels and singing his hit “That’s My Kinda Night” before accidentally slipping and falling onto his back. But like the pro he is, Luke kept the show going, continuing to sing while laying on his back — and throwing in a few hip thrusts for good measure.

The hitmaker was good-humored about the incident as two members of his stage crew tried to help him up, Luke singing all the while. Once he made it back on his feet, Luke couldn’t help but laugh it off and kept on dancing.

Just before the 4th of July, Luke dropped his patriotic new single, “Country On.” He continues on his Raised Up Right Tour through the end of October.

Selena Gomez‘s home has been attracting unsavory behavior, with one incident involving a message apparently written in blood and a burning mattress.

TMZ reports that a man was arrested outside her Los Angeles residence on Sunday morning. The suspect is said to have jumped the fence surrounding her home at around 1 a.m. local time because he wanted to “meet” Selena.

The man fled when security called the police, and he was arrested in the neighborhood. Authorities have not identified the intruder nor released the charges he faces.

According to the outlet, this isn’t the only disturbing incident to happen outside Selena’s home. Last month, a man somehow brought a mattress to the “Wolves” singer’s home; Security says he wrote her name in what appeared to be blood and then ignited the mattress.

Police apprehended the suspect, but, again, there is no information regarding the man’s identity. He was charged with trespassing, and his case is still pending.

Selena thankfully wasn’t home during either incident.

ABC

Cardi B has had it with entertainment site The Shade Room and the “negative” content she says they post about her.

In a series of since-deleted tweets, the “Up” rapper and the popular gossip outlet exchanged words Sunday after The Shade Room posted a celebratory message to Cardi’s daughter, Kulture, on her fourth birthday.

“Delete my child off y’all page The Shade Room … Thank You,” Cardi wrote on the post, later shared by Onsite.

“Cause my thing is …okay you only post negative content bout me ,cool no biggie. got me blocked from commenting on their page ok cool,” she tweeted. “but please don’t post my child on yall funny ish …I don’t want to be old self but just leave me alone.”

The Shade Room responded, disputing the rapper’s claim and providing snapshots of their positive coverage, including the addition of the star’s latest song “Hot S**t” to their #TSRTunez vertical.

Referencing Cardi’s $4 million legal victory over blogger Tasha K, the outlet said, “Whats the phone number of the lawyer you used in your defamation case because we tryna see something is this the ‘only negative’ content you are referring to?”

Cardi continued her clapback, this time via video message, according to HipHopDX

“I DM’d you guys but, of course, you guys ignore me, and that’s why I had to take it publicly,” she said. “Clearly, you guys have me muted from commenting on your page. That’s why when I comment, nobody can see my comment and I actually have screenshots of it, and that’s why I posted it.”

After hours of back and forth, Cardi suggested a phone call with The Shade Room’s founder, Angie Nwandu

“Just spoke to @iamcardib and we were able to come to a resolution,” The Shade Room posted after.

If you saw Halsey on their Love and Power Tour, you’ve seen them create original paintings live onstage while performing. Halsey did the same thing when they performed “Eastside” on Saturday Night Live a few years ago.  Now, you can own one of those paintings.

As part of famed auction house Sotheby’s Contemporary Discoveries sale, five paintings created onstage during Halsey’s concerts in Gulf Shores, AL, Nashville, Detroit, Boston and Portland are available to bid on through July 19.  Each painting is estimated to bring between $5,000 and $7,000, with proceeds going to the National Network of Abortion Funds.

If you’re in New York City, you can see the paintings on display at Sotheby’s as part of a free public exhibition through July 19.

The Love and Power tour wrapped up Saturday in Irvine, California.
