Josh, performing with jazz legend Herbie Hancock, will sing “The Star Spangled Banner.” There will also be appearances from Captain America himself, Chris Evans, plus Jack Black and Keke Palmer. The National has premiered a new song called “Weird Goodbyes,” featuring Bon Iver.

The track, which is available now via digital outlets, follows the “Fake Empire” outfit’s 2019 album, I Am Easy to Find. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, guitarist Aaron Dessner confirms that a new record is in the works.

“I wouldn’t say it’s super heavy … it’s emotional,” Dessner explains. “There’s a way of writing about disillusionment and disconnect and wanting to escape or reconnect … It actually feels very direct in a way.”

“It reminds me of older songs, even ‘Boxer’ era,” he adds. “We’re really excited … we’re very close.”

Since releasing I Am Easy to Find, The National’s been introduced to a whole new group of fans by guesting on the Taylor Swift song “coney island.” The track appears on the pop superstar’s 2020 album evermore, which, like predecessor folklore, was co-produced by Dessner.

After July’s explosive season 3 finale of Amazon’s Emmy-nominated superhero show The Boys, fans will be happy to know work has begun on the follow-up.

On Monday, Homelander himself, Antony Starr, tweeted a throwback photo of the show’s original line-up of The Seven — the series’ skewed take on The Avengers.

“Season one. So long ago. Season four, now we begin ;),” the New Zealand-born actor noted.

Incidentally, the shot caused a bit of confusion, seeing as we’re not used to seeing Translucent, the invisible perv who met his end in season 1. In the shot, Alex Hassell, who played him, is pictured with his face painted green, so that it can be removed digitally afterward, leading to some fans not recognizing him.

Hardy is gearing up for four hard-charging headlining dates in December.

He dubbed the short run of shows the Wall to Wall Tour, taking the name from one of the lyrics of his genre blending, hard rock-infused new song, “Sold Out.”

In keeping with those themes, he’s bringing long-standing rock outfit Puddle of Mudd to the stage with him for one of the dates in Columbia, South Carolina. The other three shows will feature gravelly voiced “Don’t Come Lookin’” up-and-comer Jackson Dean.

“I’m stoked to take this Wall to Wall Tour on the road,” the singer says.“We’re hitting some cities and venues that I absolutely love; I’m happy to have Jackson out with me and honored that the guys from Puddle of Mudd are joining us in Columbia.”

Hardy also says fans can expect the shows to be loud and full of energy.

“It’s going to be a great time — a loud time — every night, and it’s just the beginning of what we have in store,” he promises. “See you out there.”

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

“The story of 1 unforgettable day,” she captioned the Instagram video. “Touching heaven with our hands! We love you so much Cielo.”

The video, tracked to Michael’s new single “I’ll Never Not Love You,” starts with Lopilato showing off her pregnant belly before she heads to the hospital. The two take several selfies — as well as one posing in front of the urgent care center — and videos around the hospital before heading to the delivery room.

Another photo shows Lopilato in labor, with Michael comforting her and touching her forehead with his. Other clips show the delighted parents cuddling their newborn before walking out of the hospital.

Michael’s made it known he’s head over heels in love with the infant. The Grammy winner shared a hilarious video of himself peering down at his sleeping newborn and acknowledged, “Ok …so I’m obsessed.” He captioned the video, “Cielo’s first TikTok.”

Michael previously told ABC Audio he built his tour around his daughter’s scheduled cesarean section birth.  The “Sway” singer performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City Thursday night before flying a red-eye to Canada, arriving at 3 a.m. Vancouver time.

Netflix announced that the sequel to the hit whodunnit, the Oscar-nominated Knives Out, will debut on December 23.

The streaming service made the announcement Monday to promote a new teaser interview with writer-director Rian Johnson, who revealed the film’s Beatles-inspired title.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will have Daniel Craig reprising as flamboyant detective Benoit Blanc, this time traveling to Greece to solve a case with a whole new set of colorful suspects.

While the original starred Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis and Ana de Armas, the follow-up features another impressive cast, including Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.

The cast was revealed Monday in a first-look photo: They’re assembled in a Last Supper-like shot, with Craig’s detective leaning over at the head of a long table, addressing them.

Norton plays a tech billionaire who invites a group of friends to his island getaway — where one of them ends up murdered.

Johnson called the movie’s title, “… something fun that Blanc can grab onto as an overwrought metaphor that he can beat to death.”

“This is all in plain sight from the very start. So, the idea of glass came to me, something that’s clear,” he continues.

“I’ll be very honest. I literally got out my iPhone and searched my music library with the word ‘glass.’ … The first thing that came up, because I’m a huge Beatles fan, is ‘Glass Onion.'”

Camila Cabello is teaming up with legendary movie composer Hans Zimmer for a new song.

The two have created the track “Take Me Back Home” for BBC’s upcoming David Attenborough-led documentary series Frozen Planet II, a sequel of the groundbreaking 2011 series about climate change. This marks the first time a song has been specifically created for a BBC One natural history series.

The song, “Take Me Back Home,” stresses the challenges of climate change and the fragility of the planet’s coldest ecosystems.

Camila said in a statement, “To be able to combine my passion for the planet we live on and my music is a dream come true – never mind also getting to work with the legend that is Hans Zimmer.”

Frozen Planet II is stunning and Sir David’s narration is deeply powerful as we try to protect these incredible ecosystems from global warming,” she continued. “I’m grateful to be able to lend my voice to such an inspiring series.”

The singer also tweeted out, “my life is a dream” after BBC made the news public on Twitter.

Zimmer also praised Camila, saying in a separate statement, “It was hugely exciting composing and recording ‘Take Me Back Home’ with Camila and discovering that her musical talents are as powerful as her voice.”

BBC described the forthcoming series as “a spellbinding six-episode journey through Earth’s magical icy lands including the north and south poles.” It will also show how the ecosystems are struggling to adapt to climate change.

The song will debut globally on Friday, August 26, on BBC Radio 1 and also be released in an extended trailer of the upcoming series, which will post later that day.

Chloe x Halle grace the cover of ‘Essence’

Eric Johnson @upstairsaterics

Chloe and Halle Bailey have been focusing on their individual careers, occasionally reuniting for festival performances, possibly family-related events and now the cover of Essence. In the magazine’s September/October issue, the sister duo opens up about their lives as solo artists and women who are continuing to grow into their own.

Chloe has become somewhat of a viral sensation since embarking on her solo career. She’s released singles and videos for songs “Have Mercy,” “Treat Me” and “Surprise,” as well as a slew of covers and sexy social media pictures — most of which see her flaunting her vocals and chords. Though she appears to exude confidence, she admits that she doesn’t always feel that way.

“As much as people think I’m so confident, 80% of the time I feel the complete opposite of that. That’s why I put so much of myself into my music. That’s where I feel like myself and where I belong in this life—whenever I’m onstage,” Chloe said.

Her upcoming album, she adds, captures emotions she’s felt from “all the tearing down” and sees her “breaking free” from society’s expectations.

Halle is preparing for the release of The Little Mermaid remake. With time away from Chloe, she tapped into her individuality with a little help from God.

“I’ve managed to find individuality through God—through talking to God every day by prayer, by meditation and through music,” she explained. “I think finding myself is going to be an everlasting journey. And while I feel like I know myself at 22, I’m constantly getting to know more about who I am.”

She also addressed her relationship with rapper DDG, who she’s been a fan of for years. When asked if she’s in love, she replied, “Yes. For sure I am.”

After a two-year pandemic delay, the U.S. leg of My Chemical Romance‘s reunion tour finally kicked off over the weekend in Oklahoma City. In addition to classics “Welcome to the Black Parade,” “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Teenagers,” the set list featured a number of deep cuts.

According to Consequence‘s recap, Gerard Way and company dug up the songs “Bury Me in Black” and “This Is the Best Day Ever” during the show, which MCR hadn’t played live since 2003 and 2005, respectively.

“Bury Me in Black” is a non-album track that was released as a demo on the B-side of the “I’m Not Okay” single, while “This Is The Best Day Ever” is a cut of My Chem’s 2002 debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.

Also on the set list was the new song “Foundations of Decay,” which MCR premiered earlier this year ahead of their U.K. tour.

The My Chemical Romance reunion tour continues Tuesday in Nashville.
