A fan-fiction book inspired by Harry Styles is getting the movie treatment with Anne Hathaway.
Entertainment Weeklyreports the actress has just been tapped to lead the cast of the Prime Video film adaptation of The Idea of You, based on Robinne Lee‘s 2017 debut novel of the same name.
Hathaway will star as Sophie, a 40-year-old divorced mom who takes her 15-year-old daughter to Coachella. Sophie ends up forming a romantic connection with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of the hottest boy band, August Moon – loosely inspired by One Direction.
Lee previously told Vogue the book was “never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles” and instead described it as “a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself, just at the point that society traditionally writes women off as desirable and viable and whole.”
The film will be directed by The Big Sick, The Eyes of Tammy Faye and The Dropout helmer Michael Showalter, who will also produce alongside Hathaway and Gabrielle Union. Production begins in October. A release date has not been set.
The visual is a restored 4K version of a promotional film that was directed by Peter Whitehead, the filmmaker who directed the 1965 Rolling Stones documentary Charlie Is My Darling Ireland 1965.
The clip features references to the legal troubles The Rolling Stones were experiencing at the time, particularly the February ’67 arrest of Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Jagger’s then-girlfriend, singer/actress Marianne Faithfull, on drug-related charges at Richards’ Redlands residence in Sussex.
During the incident, Faithfull had just come out of a bath and covered herself with an animal fur when the police arrested her. The video includes scenes of a mock trial where Richards portrays a judge who’s wearing a wig made out of rolled-up tabloid newspapers, and Faithfull approaches the bench and presents Keith with an animal fur as evidence.
The film also includes a glimpse at a newspaper headline reporting that Stones guitarist Brian Jones had also been arrested for drug possession in a separate incident. The video is made up mainly of scenes of The Stones working on music in a studio, but it also features footage of the band being mobbed by fans while performing.
“We Love You” was recorded during the summer of 1967 at London’s Olympic Studios and featured guest backing vocals by The Beatles‘ John Lennon and Paul McCartney, as well as piano by lauded session musician Nicky Hopkins. The single reached #8 on the U.K. chart. In the U.S., “We Love You” initially appeared as the B-side of the single “Dandelion,” which peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.
French Montana‘s 2017 hit “Unforgettable” is still garnering lots of streams. In fact, it’s now officially certified Diamond. The rapper celebrated the RIAA certification Wednesday night with an intimate dinner, during which he was presented with a plaque commemorating his sale of 10 million units. A video of the moment was shared on HipHopDx’s Twitter account.
“Mannnnn, this aint regular DIAMOND CLUB !” French wrote on Instagram in a post in which he claims he’s the first male artist from the Bronx to achieve this status. “Shoutout to my brother @SwaeLee, and to all the wavy fans!”
“THANK YOU to everyone who played a part,” French continued, shouting out some of those individuals.
“Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee is the lead single off French’s second studio album, Jungle Rules. The song peaked at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 and sparked the #UnforgettableChallenge. Its video has more than 1.4 billion views on YouTube.
“It was an amazing experience to be a part of,” Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone said when presenting French with his plaque. “This doesn’t happen every day. This only happens when you have a special song. It’s a big achievement.”
Back in March, Michael Bubléappeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and performed one of the songs on his new album Higher — a cover of Willie Nelson‘s “Crazy” — as a duet with Colbert’s then-bandleader, Jon Batiste and Batiste’s band, Stay Human. Now, Michael’s released the duet as a single.
The jazzy version of the tune is available now on all streaming platforms.
Stephen Colbert announced August 11 that Jon, who won the Album of the Year Grammy earlier this year for his most recent album We Are, would not be returning to his show as bandleader. Meanwhile, he has another single out: “Sweet,” featuring Pentatonix and Diane Warren.
Michael’s latest single is the title track of “Higher,” co-written by his son Noah, who turns nine on Saturday, August 27. Michael and wife Luisana Lopilato just welcomed their fourth child, daughter Cielo, last week.
Hardy puts a stop to an instance of domestic violence — and pays a steep price — in his new murder ballad, “Wait in the Truck,” a duet with Lainey Wilson.
The story song follows the two up-and-coming stars as they meet on a dark road in the middle of a thunderstorm. From Lainey’s bruised and bloodied appearance, it’s clear that she’s in trouble, and Hardy knows he’s got to do something about it.
“I didn’t load her down with questions / That girl had been through enough / I just threw it in drive, looked in those eyes / And asked her where she was,” he sings.
In addition to their new song, Hardy and Lainey dropped a music video on Friday that adds a sinister visual component to “Wait in the Truck.” In the clip, Hardy ultimately pays for his crime by going to jail. “It ain’t paradise, it’s true / But it’s a whole hell of a lot better / Than the place I sent him to,” he sings at the end of the song.
“‘Wait in the Truck,’ my next single, is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written — probably the best song I’ve ever written, to be honest,” Hardy says, adding that he hopes the track will open up a discussion for listeners going through domestic violence in their own lives.
“[I’m] excited for the song to give people a platform to maybe speak out about stuff that might be going on in their own homes,” he continues.
Hardy recently announced his four-date Wall to Wall Tour, which is set for December.

The flick captures the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers performing at Mexico City’s Arena Ciudad de Mexico on October 27, 2016, during their Rock ‘n’ Roll Rumble Tour.
The show features a rendition of Aerosmith’s chart-topping 1998 power ballad “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” as well as such classics as “Walk This Way,” “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Love in an Elevator,” “Cryin'” and “Rag Doll.” The band also played some select covers, including The Beatles‘ “Come Together” and Rufus Thomas‘ “Walking the Dog.”
As previously reported, the five-part series has been offering a new archival “official bootleg” concert film featuring never-before-seen footage debuting weekly on the band’s YouTube channel. Each flick captures Aerosmith during a different decade.
Meanwhile, Aerosmith is set to begin its 50th anniversary tour next month. The band’s schedule kicks off with a September 4 concert in Bangor, Maine, followed by a September 8 show at Boston’s Fenway Park and two eight-date Las Vegas residencies at the Dolby Live at Park MGM venue. The Vegas engagements run from September 14 to October 5 and November 19 to December 11.
A few weeks back, Aerosmith launched a contest at Tunespeak.com offering fans who watch the 50 Years Live! concert films each week a chance to win two tickets to the band’s Fenway Park show. Those who enter will also have the opportunity to win an Aerosmith T-shirt.
Shakman on the set of “WandaVision”/Marvel Studios
While Marvel Studios is characteristically mum so far,The Hollywood Reporter says a 2024 Fantastic Four reboot could have found its director in Matt Shakman, who called the shots on the Emmy-nominated Marvel series WandaVision for Disney+.
Shakman is a veteran of both comedy and epic storytelling, with credits that range from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to Game of Thrones.
The project is key for the studio, as Fantastic Four — the stretchy genius Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic; The Invisible Woman/Sue Storm; the self-immolating Human Torch/Bobby Storm; and the Hulk-strong and made of stone The Thing/Ben Grimm — are referred to as “Marvel’s First Family” by comic die-hards.
That said, the team that debuted in 1961 has had trouble finding a footing on the big screen: There were a pair of films in the early 2000s, but they weren’t well received by fans — with the exception, by and large, of the performance of eventual Captain America Chris Evans, who played Johnny.
In 2015, then-rights-holder 20th Century Fox tried to reboot the superhero quartet, but the project was beset with problems and was a total failure at the box office.
Disney’s acquisition of Fox brought Fantastic Four under the Marvel Studios umbrella, and studio head Kevin Feige announced in 2020 that a Marvel Cinematic Universe film was on its way with Spider-Man series director Jon Watts at the helm, but he left the project earlier this year.
Fans only recent MCU glimpse of F4 was over the summer, with John Krasinski playing Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — but that was understood to be one version of the hero and not necessarily the one we’ll see going forward.
The late “Dimebag” Darrell‘s longtime guitar tech, Grady Champion, will be taking part in Pantera‘s upcoming reunion shows.
In an Instagram post, Champion shares that while he won’t be the tech for Zakk Wylde, who’s playing guitar in the reformed metal outfit in place of Dime, he will “run effects and help bring Dime’s tone to the party.”
“The details of the rig and stuff are still to be worked out yet,” Champion says.
Champion also plans to bring some of Dime’s personal gear for Wylde to use, courtesy of Rita Haney, Dime’s longtime partner and trustee of his estate.
Elsewhere in the post, Champion shares his thoughts on Pantera’s reunion, which will feature surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, as well as Wylde and Anthrax‘s Charlie Benante in place of drummer Vinnie Paul, Dime’s older brother. Some have criticized Anselmo and Brown for reforming the band and continuing to use the Pantera name without Dime and Vinnie, both of whom have passed away since the group broke up in 2003.
“Anyone that brings up ‘money grab’ has no concept of reality,” Champion says. “How much it takes from people to do this. More dedication that you’ll ever see, tears, all of it. If you want to hate, don’t go, I don’t want to hear it.”
“If you want a Pantera experience, this is it,” he adds. “We’re giving it hell, and going to give it all there is to give. Philip, Rex Brown, Zakk and Char Benante are going to bring it.”
The first Pantera reunion shows are scheduled for this December at Mexico’s Hell & Heaven festival and Slipknot‘s South American Knotfests.
(JACKSON, N.J.) — At least five people were injured on a ride at a Six Flags Great Adventure theme park on Thursday, officials from the park said.
According to a statement from the park, several of the passengers on the El Toro ride at the Jackson, New Jersey, park reported back pain. Five of those passengers were taken to a local medical facility for evaluation, according to a spokesperson from Six Flags Great Adventure.
Park officials said the ride is currently closed for inspection, as of Thursday night.
The Department of Community Affairs said Six Flags alerted them of the incident Thursday evening through their amusement ride incident hotline number, according to ABC Philadelphia affiliate, WVPI.
Six Flags reported witnesses hearing a loud bang and seeing jolting from the El Toro roller coaster as it was in operation, the DCA told WVPI. Multiple injuries were reported.
According to the DCA, Six Flags said 14 people were treated at the scene. Five of those treated required transport to the hospital, WVPI reported.
According to WVPI, one passenger suffered a neck injury, two reported back injuries and two others were treated for mouth and tongue injuries.
El Toro is one of the tallest wooden roller coasters in the world with a maximum speed of 70 mph, according to the park.
State officials fined the amusement park last summer when the El Toro partially derailed, according to WVPI.

(WASHINGTON) — The Justice Department on Friday made public the redacted affidavit that supported the search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
After reviewing the DOJ’s proposed redactions Thursday, a magistrate judge had ordered the redacted affidavit filed in the public docket by noon Friday.
A coalition of news organizations, including ABC News, had argued that the release was in the public interest.
The FBI special agent tasked with writing the affidavit supporting the search of Mar-a-Lago writes that as a result of their ongoing criminal investigation they had “probable cause to believe that additional documents that contain classified [National Defense Information] or that are Presidential records subject to record retention requirements currently remain at [Mar a Lago].”
“There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found at [Mar a Lago],” the affidavit continues.
The redacted affidavit is a total of 32 pages with an attachment, including a May 25 letter signed by former President Trump’s lawyer Evan Corcoran outlining what is described as Trump’s authorities regarding presidential records.
The unredacted portions of the affidavit put on display the timeline of the Justice Department’s investigation leading up to their unprecedented move to search the residence of a former president.
It was kicked off, according to the affidavit, after a special agent for the National Archives’ inspector general sent a criminal referral to DOJ revealing that the 15 boxes handed over by Trump’s team in January revealed “highly classified records” intermingled with otherwise innocuous documents.
The affidavit goes on to outline further interactions between NARA and Trump’s team to secure the return of records that were improperly taken from the White House.
Between May 16-18, the affidavit says, an FBI review revealed that in those 15 boxes handed over in January 2021 there were 184 total documents bearing the following classifications:
67 documents marked as CONFIDENTIAL92 documents marked as SECRET25 documents marked as TOP SECRET
“Further,” the affidavit continues, “the FBI agents observed markings reflecting the following compartments/dissemination controls: HCS, FISA, ORCON, NOFORN, and SI. Based on my training and experience, I know that documents classified at these levels typically contain [National Defense Information]. Several of the documents also contained what appears to be FPOTUS ‘s handwritten notes.”
The affidavit then details communications between DOJ and one of Trump’s top lawyers, Evan Corcoran, in May 2021, in which Corcoran claimed Trump had the “absolute authority to declassify documents” and that the letter be provided to any grand jury investigating the matter.
The filing then further references a public Breitbart article from May 5 featuring an interview with former top Trump aide Kash Patel, who sought to rebut claims Trump took classified materials to Mar-a-Lago because he claimed Trump had declassified the docs en masse. There’s no evidence this happened, however, and Trump’s team has produced no such documentation proving as much.
Later in the affidavit, DOJ details a letter from one off its lawyers to Corcoran that “reiterated” Mar-a-Lago was not authorized to store classified information and requested the room docs were stored in to be further secured and the docs “be preserved in that room in their current condition until further notice.” There is no mention in this section of DOJ instructing the president’s team to simply add a lock to the room, though that is what Trump’s legal team has claimed repeatedly — this is a direct request from DOJ that the documents not be moved from the room.
An unredacted header later reads, “There is Probable Cause to Believe That Documents Containing Classified NDI and Presidential Records Remain at the Premises.”
And following several pages of redacted lines, the affidavit agent concludes that, “Based upon this investigation, I believe that the STORAGE ROOM, FPOTUS’s residential suite, Pine Hall, the “45 Office,” and other spaces within the PREMISES are not currently authorized locations for the storage of classified information or NDI. Similarly, based upon this investigation, I do not believe that any spaces within the PREMISES have been authorized for the storage of classified information at least since the end of FPOTUS ‘s Presidential Administration on January 20, 2021.”
“As described above, evidence of the SUBJECT OFFENSES has been stored in multiple locations at the PREMISES,” the affidavit says.
In their original request for sealing the affidavit, the agent states that keeping it sealed was necessary because the FBI had still “not yet identified all potential criminal confederates nor located all evidence related to its investigation.”
“Premature disclosure of the contents of this affidavit and related documents may have a significant and negative impact on the continuing investigation and may severely jeopardize its effectiveness by allowing criminal parties an opportunity to flee, destroy evidence (stored electronically and otherwise), change patterns of behavior, and notify criminal confederates,” the affidavit states.
The affidavit also outlines the procedures agents would use in executing the search, that a Privilege Review Team separate from the ‘Case Team’ would search Trump’s personal office and “be available to assist in the event that a procedure involving potentially attorney-client privileged information is required.”
“If the Privilege Review Team determines the documents or data are not potentially attorney-client privileged, they will be provided to the law-enforcement personnel assigned to the investigation,” the affidavit says. “If at any point the law-enforcement personnel assigned to the investigation subsequently identify any data or documents that they consider may be potentially attorney-client privileged, they will cease the review of such identified data or documents and refer the materials to the Privilege Review Team for further review by the Privilege Review Team.”
