The British Crown Dependency of the Isle of Man will issue a new collection of eight David Bowie-themed stamps on September 12 in honor of the late rock legend’s acting career.

The “David Bowie: Actor” stamp series features depictions of Bowie in five movies, in the 1980 Broadway stage production of The Elephant Man, and in the 1982 BBC adaptation of the Bertolt Brecht play Baal. The collection also includes a special stamp that boasts a 2016 image of David from his last photoshoot.

The films commemorated in the stamp set are 1999’s Everybody Loves Sunshine, which was shot on the Isle of Man; 1986’s Labyrinth; 1983’s Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence; 1978’s Just a Gigolo; and 1976’s The Man Who Fell to Earth.

The stamp collection and related products were designed by Jonathan Barnbrook, an award-winning designer who helped create Bowie’s album covers from 2002’s album Heathen to his final studio effort, 2016’s ★ (Blackstar). Barnbrook was also the artistic adviser and a contributor to the “David Bowie Is” exhibit that opened at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum in 2013.

“[A]n incredible amount of work has been done to get this collection to where it is now, and to be something the fans will be happy with,” says Barnbrook.

The stamp set, which can be preordered now at IOMPost.com, is available in various configurations, including as a sheet, as a card set, in a booklet and in an album. There’s also a deluxe release called Bowie Box, which combines the card set and the booklet in a specially designed slipcase and gatefold wallet.

Last November, the Isle of Man post office issued a stamp collection honoring The Bee GeesBarry Gibb, who was born on the island.

Meek Mill wants to perform at a wedding in October for free.

The “Going Bad” rapper is offering his wedding singer services to mark the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares, which dropped on October 30, 2012.

“If you get married in October … ima commit to performing dreams & nightmares at a wedding for free for the 10 year Anniversary,” Mill tweeted on Tuesday.

He received numerous replies, including a fan from the MidWest who laughed about the prospect of the Philly rapper traveling across the country for his wedding.

“October 29th, middle of no where in Iowa! Come through! Hahahahahaha,” the follower wrote.

Another fan closer to Meek’s hometown hopes Mill will be the wedding entertainment for his best friend.

“My boy is getting married October 29th,” the person tweeted. “Last song at the wedding was already gonna be dreams and nightmares so you may as well come perform it live. North Jersey. Groom and all the groomsmen all from Philly.”

The 35-year-old MC added that this was “not a marketing plan” but instead a “random thought.”

Dreams and Nightmares debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and was verified Gold. The first single, “Amen,” featured Drake. The star-studded album also included collabs with Nas, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige, John Legend and Big Sean.

The complete trailer of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which stars Shawn Mendes as the titular green reptile, is finally out.

Sony Pictures released the trailer on Wednesday, which sees Shawn introducing the children’s film and expressing how “excited” he is for everyone to see the movie. The trailer also provides a longer listen of the original song he created for this film, which sees Lyle belting out how he’s “On top of the world, tonight.”

The movie stars Shawn as Lyle, Constance Wu and Scoot McNairy as Mrs. and Mr. Primm, Winslow Fegley as their son Josh, Stranger Things star Brett Gelman as Mr. Grumps and Javier Bardem as Hector Valenti.

This trailer shows how Lyle changes the Primm family’s life for the better. Josh finds a sense of self confidence in his new friendship, Mr. Primm falls back in love with some of his old hobbies and Mrs. Primm enjoys the joy the bipedal croc brings to the household.

But, their happiness is threatened when Mr. Grumps sics New York City wildlife control after Lyle to relocate the singing, scarf-wearing crocodile.

Josh then hatches a plan to show NYC — and Mr. Grumps — that Lyle isn’t dangerous at all and belongs with his family. Part of that plan includes showing off Lyle’s impressive vocals.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, based on the beloved children’s book, debuts in theaters on October 7.

Ozzy Osbourne appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America on Wednesday for his first TV interview since undergoing what his wife, Sharon, called a “major operation” in June.

Speaking with ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly, Ozzy shares, “Since I had the surgery, I’ve improved quite considerably.”

The procedure, which Sharon previously said would “determine the rest of [Ozzy’s] life,” was related to a fall the metal legend suffered in 2019, which aggravated injuries he’d previously sustained in a 2003 ATV accident.

“He would literally be crying in pain some days,” Sharon tells GMA of Ozzy’s pre-surgery condition.

“Before, I would be talking to you like this,” Ozzy adds, bending over towards the ground. “After this other surgery, I can hold my head up now.”

Ozzy’s recovery continues as he’s set to perform during halftime of the NFL’s season opening game this Thursday, September 8. His new album, Patient Number 9, drops on Friday.

You can watch the entire interview with Ozzy and Sharon airing on ABC’s Nightline Wednesday night at 12:35 a.m. ET.

Amazon releases official trailer for Harry Styles’ ’My Policeman’

The first official trailer for Harry Styles‘ My Policeman has finally arrived, and it provides a broader glimpse of what the hotly anticipated drama entails.

Harry stars as a closeted officer named Tom, who struggles with his feelings for David Dawson‘s character, Patrick. The movie is set in 1950s England when homosexuality was prohibited.

The trailer follows Tom as he marries Emma Corin‘s Marion in an attempt to fit into society while engaging in an affair with Patrick. One bit shows Marion spying on the two men as they’re sharing a tender moment and later telling Tom that Patrick is “trying to destroy our marriage.” Meanwhile, Patrick attempts to convince Tom to stop hiding who he really is.

Other flashes show Tom and Patrick fighting, pining for one another, holding hands, kissing and cuddling in bed.  The trailer mirrors these moments with scenes of Tom and Marion going about their lives.

It is inferred in the trailer that Marion outs Patrick, who is then punished for his sexuality. Another brief scene focuses on a policeman’s uniform burning on a small bonfire on the beach.

The trailer also jumps to ’90s era versions of Tom, Patrick and Marion — respectively played by Linus RoacheRupert Everett and Gina McKee — coming to terms with the consequences of their affair all those years ago.

My Policeman is based on the book of the same name. After it debuts in theaters on October 21, it will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on November 4.

As reported, Funny Girl on Broadway saw a spike in ticket sales once fans learned Lea Michele would be headlining. On Tuesday night, Lea’s debut lived up to the hype.

According to Variety, Michele was greeted with an ovation as soon as she walked out onto the boards of the August Wilson Theatre, so much so that it drowned out the play’s opening line. The crowd jumped to its feet five more times before the curtain fell.

According to footage from the show, the actress, who in the past has weathered an on-set bullying controversy, sang through happy tears during her first curtain call.

Michele’s famous friends came out to cheer her on. In addition to her bestie and former Spring Awakening co-star Jonathan Groff, the trade spotted Drew Barrymore, Zachary Quinto, her former Glee producer Ryan Murphy, and stage and screen legend Harvey Fierstein, who reportedly polished the play’s book before Lea took over the role.

Murphy’s attendance was a full-circle moment: While on Glee, Michele belted out Funny Girl classics like “People” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” in character as Barbra Streisand fangirl Rachel Berry.

Batgirl may have gotten its wings clipped, but Brendan Fraser‘s comeback is in full swing following a six-minute standing ovation for his performance in Darren Aronofsky‘s The Whale, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival Sunday.

As reported, Fraser donned heavy prosthetics to play a morbidly obese father in the film, which is already generating Oscar buzz for the actor.

One big accolade also came after the premiere, when his Mummy series co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson heard about the reception. “Man this makes me so happy to see this beautiful ovation for Brendan,” Rock wrote on Twitter.

“He supported me coming into his Mummy Returns franchise for my first ever role, which kicked off my Hollywood career. Rooting for all your success brother and congrats to my bud Darren Aronofsky,” Johnson continued, shouting out the director of other acclaimed films as Requiem for a Dream and the Oscar-winning Black Swan.

Fraser’s A-List career was sidelined by a perfect storm of personal issues, including the loss of his mother, a messy divorce, surgeries from on-set injuries and a sexual assault he says he suffered at the hands of a former head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Aronofsky’s film and a role in Martin Scorsese‘s upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon, however, have fans — like The Rock — cheering what they’re dubbing the Brenaissance.
