Collaborators Atreyu and Zero 9:36 have both released new music Friday.
Atreyu has teamed up with DJ and producer Kayzo for a new track called “Depression Season.” It’s the second time the two artists have worked together, following 2020’s “Battle Drums.”
“Meeting and working with Kayzo was so effortless,” says Atreyu vocalist Brandon Saller. “Our first collaboration, ‘Battle Drums,’ then belonged to the world and did more organically than either camp had imagined. It only made sense for us to embark on Round 2. ‘Depression Season’ is completely a different and fresh take on what people might expect from an Atreyu and Kayzo mashup!”

Meanwhile, Zero 9:36 has dropped a standalone single titled “Stuck in My Ways.”
“I think it’s important to keep moving, aiming high, while holding on to what you have and realizing you can change for the better at the same time,” the “Adrenaline” artist says.
If you ever wondered what would happen if Gwen Stefani drank alcohol and threw axes with Sheryl Crow, you’ll find out during Monday night’s episode of Barmageddon.
A teaser was posted of the episode, which will see the two industry giants squaring off in a series of silly bar games. The featured clip shows Gwen and Sheryl competing in a game dubbed “Drunken Axe Hole,” but it appears only one of these ladies has any ax-throwing experience.
Hint: it’s not Gwen.
Gwen confesses to her lack of skill and sheepishly tells Sheryl while holding up an ax, “I feel like you’re probably more experienced with one of these than I am.”
“I’ve used one of those a couple of two, three times,” the ’90s icon shrugs.
Gwen also laughs at a joke she’s married to a “Drunken Axe Hole” aka Blake Shelton, who just so happens to be standing in the audience. Despite Blake being there for moral support, Gwen misses the target entirely.
That gives a needed confidence boost for Sheryl, who saunters up to the range and proclaims she’s “feeling pretty good.” Her first throw lands in the bull’s-eye.
“Something came out,” Sheryl says of her accuracy. “When I had the ax in my hand, just something came out. I think it was always in there!”

Terrence Howard‘s starring role in The Best Man: The Final Chapters may possibly be his last hurrah in Hollywood.
During a red carpet event for the upcoming Peacock series, he told Entertainment Tonight that the show marks the end of his acting career. “This is the end for me. I don’t know if it’s the end for the rest of them,” he said. “I retired two years ago, for the most part. I was done. … I asked Sidney Poitier 10 years ago does he want to do any more work, and he said, ‘Why would I spend my last 10 years doing an impersonation of myself?’ And that’s what I’ve gotten to.”
“I’ve gotten to the point where now I’ve given the very best that I have as an actor,” Howard continued. “Now I’m enjoying watching other new talent come around, and I don’t want to do an impersonation of myself.”
He added that he’s ready to hand over the reins to the next generation, which includes “better actors out there that can do things that I was never able to do.” “I want to applaud them. I want to be excited about what they do,” he said.
As Howard mentioned, he previously announced his plans to retire in 2019.Back then, he said he’d done his time and was “running away as quickly as possible” following the series finale of Empire.
He’s since appeared in projects including the 2021 drama Triumph, 2022’s The Walk and, of course, the forthcoming Best Man series.
(NEW YORK) — J. Alexander Kueng, a former Minneapolis police officer who knelt on George Floyd’s back during the fatal May 2020 arrest, was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison Friday.
Kueng, 29, had pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting in second-degree manslaughter in October as part of an agreement with prosecutors. A second charge of aiding and abetting in second-degree unintentional murder will be dismissed against Kueng as part of his plea agreement.
“We appreciate very much that Mr. Kueng plead guilty,” said prosecutor Matthew Frank at the sentencing.
“We hope the conclusion of this case reaffirms that peace officers cannot treat citizens in crisis as non-people, or second-class citizens,” Frank added.
The plea was announced just as a joint state trial for Kueng and Tou Thao, another officer, was to begin with jury selection.
“J. Alexander Kueng is now the second officer involved in Floyd’s death to accept responsibility through a guilty plea. That acknowledgement hopefully can bring comfort to Floyd’s family and bring our communities closer to a new era of accountability and justice,” Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said in an October statement on the plea deal.
Floyd’s death ignited protests nationwide against police brutality and systemic racism.
“We must never forget the horror of what we all saw in that 9-minute video, and that there rightfully should be both accountability for all involved as well as deep lessons learned for police officers and communities everywhere,” said the legal team for George Floyd’s family, led by civil rights attorney Ben Crump, in an October statement on Kueng’s plea deal in October.
Both Kueng and Thao, 34, are currently serving federal sentences after being convicted in February on federal charges of violating Floyd’s civil rights. Kueng’s sentence from today will be served concurrently with his federal sentence.
The two were found guilty of depriving Floyd of his “constitutional right to be free from an officer’s unreasonable force when each willfully failed to intervene to stop … [Derek] Chauvin’s use of unreasonable force.”
Derek Chauvin, the officer who knelt on Floyd’s neck, was found guilty on three counts in Floyd’s death: Second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for pressing his knee against Floyd’s neck for more than 9 minutes.
He had been sentenced to 22.5 years.
Chauvin had additionally been sentenced to 21 years on federal civil rights charges in Floyd’s death.
Thao waived a jury trial and his state charges will be decided by a judge. According to MPR, Judge Peter Cahill will review evidence received by Nov. 17 and has 90 days to decide the case, according to MPR News.
A third defendant, former Minneapolis police officer Thomas Lane, was also convicted on federal civil rights charges stemming from Floyd’s death. Lane pleaded guilty to state charges of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

With the release of his latest song, “Stoned,” Parker McCollum is kicking off a new musical chapter, but he says he’s still figuring out some of the key details.
For example, the title of his next record is a big question mark, he explains in a new interview with Today’s Country Radio With Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country.
“I honestly haven’t even thought of a title for the record,” Parker says, “which is something that’s been bugging me a lot lately. I was wanting to name the whole tour next year after the record and they were announcing the tour.”
But when it came time to make that announcement, Parker’s next album was still nameless. “I’m like, ‘I don’t know, just call it the Spring Tour, the Summer Tour, the Fall Tour,’” he adds.
In fact, Parker’s still in the early stages of putting together a track list.
“I have two sets of track listings right now,” he says. “This order of songs, I’m down to two, and I haven’t even sat down and listened to those two and felt what they feel like top to bottom.”
Tickets for Parker’s headlining tour, set to kick off early in 2023, are on sale now.
A new R. Kelly album appeared on streaming services Friday, but was removed shortly after its release, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project, titled I Admit It, included songs that date back to 2018. It’s gone viral for the title track, in which he seemingly comes cleans about his sexcapades, blames the parents of his alleged victims and questions why people say he doesn’t respect women.
It’s unclear who dropped the album, which was temporarily available on Spotify and Apple Music. Legacy Recordings, the Sony label listed on the digital platforms for the album, had no comment for The Hollywood Reporter or the New York Post, while a Sony Music insider claims the project that dropped was a bootleg version.
R. Kelly is currently behind bars at the Chicago Metropolitan Correctional Center on federal sex crimes. He’s serving a 30-year sentence after a New York court convicted him of racketeering and sex trafficking. He was also convicted of child pornography charges in Chicago.
Mod Sun has released a new song called “SEXOXO,” a track off his upcoming album, God Save the Teen.
“SEXOXO” features guest vocals by Charlotte Sands, who’s previously collaborated with artists including Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, Sleeping with Sirens and Underoath.
“For me, every great song has a haunting quality,” Mod says. “A place where past and present can live together. The lyrics of ‘SEXOXO’ are just that…moving on, starting again, happiness, sadness, fear, and excitement. It’s all there.”
God Save the Teen, which also features the previously released songs “Perfectly Imperfect,” “Rich Kids Ruin Everything” and “Battle Scars,” arrives February 3. It’s the follow-up to 2021’s Internet Killed the Rockstar, which spawned the hit Avril Lavigne collaboration, “Flames.”
Mod will launch a U.S. tour in support of God Save the Teen in February.
AC/DC will celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2023, and in honor of the occasion, an officially licensed book on the band is on its way.
AC/DC: 50 Years Of High Voltage Rock ‘N’ Roll will arrive at some point next year from Rufus Publications. Right now there’s only a teaser video for the book, so it’s not clear if it’ll be a band biography, a photo collection or both. The company describes it only as “something very special.”
AC/DC was formed in November 1973 by Malcom and Angus Young, bass player Larry Van Kriedt, singer Dave Evans and drummer Collin Burgess. In 1974, Bon Scott replaced Evans as vocalist and they released their first album, High Voltage. The band’s big U.S. breakthrough didn’t come until 1980’s Back In Black, released with new singer Brian Johnson following Scott’s death, became their all-time best-selling album.
AC/DC’s most recent album, 2020’s Power Up, hit number one on the Billboard 200 album chart and earned the band three Grammys.
Joshua Bassett says it’s “wild” he’s bringing the world of Night at the Museum to kids who are as young as he was when he first saw the movies in theaters.
Night at the Museum, starring Ben Stiller, premiered December 17, 2006.
Bassett plays Nick Daley, who succeeds his dad, former protagonist Larry Daley, as the night security guard in Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. “It’s just cool to continue the story in a different way, but it still pays tribute to the original,” he told ABC Audio.
Bassett also teased, “The stakes are incredibly high for an animated film,” but said he believes the audience will enjoy the ride.
The 21-year-old also hopes the film will “inspire … kids to be courageous” because of the lessons his character learns. “[Nick] doesn’t know what he’s doing. He doesn’t have much guidance. He’s kind of thrown into this without any help. And he has to overcome his fears and step up and become the hero, even though he’s just a regular 18-year-old kid,” he expressed.
That’s how Bassett felt when he was cast in this movie. “I had never done voiceover and there was a part of me that was honestly scared,” he confessed. He said he’s thankful for the experience because it taught him the value of “[giving] your all and [hoping] for the best.”
So, will we see him doing more voiceover work in the future? “I am definitely going to,” he said. “I really do believe I had the most fun on this project (that) I’ve ever had acting.” He said he loved how much creative freedom voice acting allows.

GAYLE released her new EP, a study of the human experience volume two and a half, which features alternate versions of her songs. GAYLE explained the EP was the result of her “sitting with my music and thinking about what I would change about these songs now that I have more experiences and inspirations. also i got bored and wanted to do it.”
Meghan Trainor released the a capella version of “Made You Look,” which features Scott Hoying of Pentatonix, Sri,and TikTokers Chris Olsen and Elyse Myers.
Camila Cabello has teamed up with Nigerian singer Oxlade for a remix of his song “KU LO SA.”
On the topic of remixes, Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” was given a Nova Twins Remix, which gave the song a rock twist.
Dove Cameron is out with “Girl Like Me,” her twist on the 1994 Edwyn Collins hit “Girl Like You.” She explained the song is an “empowering response to the original- with a slightly more synth-y club future leaning point of view.” She added she wants the song “playing behind me in a slow motion fight scene in the action film of my dreams.”
JVKE teamed up with Martin Garrix for “Hero,” the new MARVEL SNAP anthem for Marvel Entertainment. The animated music video, which was released Friday, features some of Marvel’s biggest heroes — Black Panther, the X-Men, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and more.
Marvel is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC news.
