(ALASKA) — Four people, including a child, who got trapped on an ice floe during a seal hunting expedition in Alaska were safely rescued, the U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday, calling it one of the most “challenging missions” the helicopter crew has ever flown.

The daring rescue occurred early Sunday, approximately 10 miles west of Chefornak, a remote village in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region in southwestern Alaska.

Alaska State Troopers reported to the Coast Guard at 4:24 p.m. on Saturday that a “group of four people on a subsistence seal hunting expedition required assistance after being trapped on the ice for over 24 hours,” the Coast Guard said in a press release.

The group managed to free the 18-foot vessel overnight, but moving ice prevented it from reaching the shore, the Coast Guard said.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak reached the scene at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday, and all four people — three adults and one child — were safely hoisted aboard, according to the Coast Guard, which released video footage of the rescue.

The conditions at the time included 28-degree air temperature and 29 mph winds, the Coast Guard said.

The individuals were transported back to Chefornak with no reported injuries, the Coast Guard said.

“Our entire crew agreed this was one of the most challenging missions any of us had ever flown,” Lt. Cmdr. Alexis Chavarria-Aguilar, pilot-in-command for the helicopter, said in a statement. “We battled nearly every Alaska-centric aviation weather hazard imaginable, such as flying over 800 miles in near-zero visibility through mountainous terrain, blowing snow and icing conditions.”

“It was a long, difficult night, but I’m so proud of everyone involved who worked seamlessly together to bring four people home safely,” he added.

The Coast Guard noted that the hunting party had three forms of communication on their vessel — including satellite-based — which “greatly enhanced” the aircrew’s ability to find and rescue them.

TIME has revealed its 2026 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Nikki Glaser represents the entertainment community as she graces one of the four worldwide covers of this year’s Time100 issue of the magazine.

Other entertainers to make the list are Noah Wyle, Sterling K. Brown, Alan Cumming, Claire Danes, Benicio Del Toro, Jonathan Groff, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson, Dakota Johnson, Wagner Moura, Keke Palmer, Jafar Panahi, Zoe Saldaña, Rhea Seehorn and Ben Stiller.

Chris Rock penned the tribute to Glaser, writing that one of the things he loves about her is that “she has the decency to be scared” because of how hard she works.

“Lorne Michaels used to say to me, ‘You can’t make an entrance if you never leave.’ I hope Nikki takes her time and explores all aspects of her gift,” Rock wrote. “I hope she realizes she has the potential to be not just a great comedian, but a great artist who uses the power that comes with this moment to approach her career like Madonna or Leonardo DiCaprio and work with only the best. I hope this is just the beginning of an incredible, multifaceted, Steve Martin–esque career.”

LeVar Burton wrote Wyle’s tribute, sharing that The Pitt actor is one of those people you’d love to hate, “except you can’t because he’s such a great guy.”

“He wears his compassionate nature as effortlessly as he does his easy sense of humor,” Burton continued. “When he says, ‘Let me know if there’s anything I can do,’ he genuinely means it. Countless are the times I have considered myself fortunate to call him my friend.”

The world’s most influential people will gather in New York City at the 2026 Time100 Summit on April 22 and the Time100 Gala on April 23.

The 60th anniversary of The Monkees is being celebrated with an expanded edition of the band’s 2016 studio album, Good Times!

Good Times! (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), dropping May 29, will include the original album, plus previously unreleased instrumental versions of each song and four rare session outtakes.

Released to commemorate the band’s 10th anniversary, Good Times! reunited then-surviving Monkees members Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork, and featured a posthumous contribution from Davy Jones, who passed away in 2012.

“Working on Good Times! was an extraordinary experience. None of us could have imagined that nearly 50 years after our last Top 20 record, we’d be back there again with a new Monkees album. That means a lot,” says Dolenz, who is the last surviving member of The Monkees. “Mike, Peter, and I had a wonderful time making that record, and I have no doubt Davy’s spirit was right there with us. We really did have a good time.”

The reissue will be released as a two-CD set, and digitally for the first time. It will also be released as part of Rhino Reserve’s audiophile vinyl series.

Good Times! featured songs written specifically for the group by artists like Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and more. It also featured older material penned by artists like Carole King, Neil Diamond and Harry Nilsson. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Good Times! (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) is available for preorder now.

Dolenz is currently celebrating The Monkees’ 60th anniversary on the road. He recently launched his 60 Years of The Monkees tour, which hits Vienna, Virginia, on Wednesday. A complete list of dates can be found at MickyDolenz.com.

Bradley Cooper is set to write, direct and star in a prequel to Ocean’s Eleven.

Warner Bros. Pictures will release the upcoming film in theaters on June 25, 2027. Margot Robbie will star alongside Cooper, who will also produce the film along with Robbie’s banner LuckyChap.

Twisters director Lee Isaac Chung was previously attached to direct the film but recently stepped away from the project due to creative differences.

Warner Bros. launched this current Ocean’s franchise with Steven Soderbergh’s 2001 film Ocean’s Eleven. It became a trilogy that starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Matt Damon. Ocean’s Eleven was a remake of the studio’s 1961 film Ocean’s 11, which starred Frank Sinatra.

Warner Bros. Pictures has also dated several other of its upcoming films for release.

The horror films The Revenge of La Llorona, Evil Dead Wrath and Final Destination 7 have received release dates of April 9, 2027, April 7, 2028, and May 12, 2028, respectively.

Additionally, a currently untitled film directed by Baz Luhrmann will be released in theaters on Nov. 22, 2028.

ABC Audio has learned that the film will follow the story of Joan of Arc. Luhrmann wrote the movie with Ava Pickett, and Isla Johnston is set to star in it.

After Ashley Tisdale made headlines with her essay about leaving her “toxic mom group,” fans suspected she was talking about a group that included several other celebrities, including Meghan Trainor. Now, Meghan’s giving her side of the story.

In an interview with US Weekly, Meghan says she accepts some of the responsibility for how Ashley felt. “I was a bad mom friend. I never went. They had so many events; they were awesome and always there for each other,” she says. “There was a group chat, but eventually they started a group chat without me because I wasn’t there … and that was totally fine. I didn’t feel bad.”

“The last time I saw them was like a year ago, and I brought them to dinner and paid for it because I was like, ‘I’m so sorry that I’m just not present,'” she continues. “And then that [story] popped up, and I was like, ‘What?!?’ I saw my face everywhere, and ‘wait a second, I’m not even there.'”

Meghan notes that it “felt so bad” for the other moms in the group who aren’t famous. And, she says, “I felt bad for Ashley, that she was ever that sad. I think it was just a lot of miscommunication and confusion. I don’t really know what happened, but I wish them all the best.”

And, Meghan says, “Ashley texted me, ‘I’m sorry, your name got dragged in.’ And I was like, ‘It’s all right, girl. The world’s a silly, crazy place, and they just want something to talk about.’”

But mother of three Meghan has advice for moms who are struggling.

“Always ask for help,” she says. “I can’t do it all. I wish I could, and I can’t.”

Jack White made a new friend at Coachella: Timothée Chalamet.

The “Seven Nation Army” rocker posted a photo of himself hanging backstage at the festival alongside the Dune actor on Instagram.

“You can’t be mad when a young Bob Dylan time travels to come see your set,” White writes in the caption, referring to Chalamet’s Oscar-nominated performance as the folk icon in 2024’s A Complete Unknown.

“So nice hanging out with Mr. Chalamet in the desert, who did such an amazing job in A Complete Unknown,” White adds.

Perhaps White and Chalamet swapped stories about playing music legends in movies — White, of course, portrayed Elvis Presley in the 2007 film Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.

White was a last-minute addition to the Coachella weekend one lineup. While there, he also hung with Muse’s Matt Bellamy and The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. and Cameron Winter of Geese.

White will launch a U.S. headlining tour in July.

INXS is set to receive a prestigious honor in their native Australia.

The band — brothers Andrew, Jon and Tim Farriss, Garry Beers, Kirk Pengilly and late frontman Michael Hutchence — is set to receive the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music at the 2026 APRA Music Awards.

The press release announcing the honor notes, “INXS are not just part of Australia’s musical history — they helped write the global playbook.”

“INXS are truly one-of-a-kind,” Jenny Morris, chair of APRA, says. “From their compelling and timeless songwriting to their intoxicating performances, few bands have ever left people happily gasping for more the way INXS do.”

She adds, “Michael is as much of a presence in our lives today as the day we lost him, and of course the same goes for the band,” noting, “The legacy of INXS lives on. They remain as relevant as ever, continuing to inspire new generations and bring that unmistakable Aussie spirit to fans around the world.”

Formed in Sydney in 1977, INXS has sold over 75 million albums worldwide. Their breakthrough album, 1987’s Kick, peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and produced four top-10 singles: “Need You Tonight,” “New Sensation,” “Never Tear Us Apart” and “Devil Inside.”

The 2026 APRA Music Awards will be held April 29 in Sydney.
