Danes, 43, and Dancy, 47, who met in 2006 and wed in 2009, already share sons Cyrus Michael Christopher, 10, and Rowan, 4. They have not announced if they are expecting a boy or girl.
Back in 2018, the Homeland actress opened up about her pregnancy with Rowan, telling the publication at the time, “Pretty soon I get to retire for a little while and just be pregnant, which I look forward to.”
Danes also shared about bringing Cyrus to set while filming the Showtime series.
“He says, ‘Action!'” said Danes. “He’s a real set baby. It’s really sweet. He loves the [show’s operations room] because of all the lights. It’s a great environment for a kid. It’s the circus!”
Paramore‘s much-anticipated album This Is Why is still about a month away, but it appears Hayley Williams and company will be providing some fresh material soon to tide you over.
In their Instagram Story, the “Misery Business” rockers have shared a short preview of new music alongside the letters “CCC,” presumably referring to the This Is Why track “C’est Comme Ca.” Additionally, Paramore’s ever-cryptic website calendar reveals that “CCC” will be arriving this Thursday, January 12.
“C’est Comme Ca” — which is French for “It’s Like That” — will be the third This Is Why track to be released, following “The News” and the title track. The album, the first full-length effort from Paramore since 2017’s After Laughter, arrives in full on February 10.
Paramore will launch a U.S. tour in support of This Is Why in May. They’re also playing a This Is Why release show February 6 in Nashville and will open for select dates on Taylor Swift‘s stadium tour in March.
Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa‘s Black Star Line Festival proved to be a success, drawing more than 52,000 fans to Accra, Ghana.
The festival — a combination of music, art and culture — kicked off with a jam-packed week of events that included barbecues, panels, parties and skate sessions and culminated with a concert that featured the likes of Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Tobie Nwigwe and more.
All events took place at the Black Star Square, a monument that pays homage to the political freedom Ghanaians won in 1957 and that continues to be a global bridge between Black people, artists of the diaspora and people of the continent.
“The Black Star Line Festival is more than just a celebration of Black culture and music, it’s a chance for the Diaspora to come together as a community and remind ourselves of the power that lies within us,” says Chance in a statement. “It’s an opportunity to honor the legacy of those who came before us, and to inspire and uplift each other. It’s a historic event and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Black Star Line Festival.”
Chance and Vic’s festival was named after Marcus Garvey‘s Black Star Line, which connected America, the Caribbean and Africa to global shipping and tourism opportunities. Inspired by the line, Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, chose that name for the country’s fleet and added a black star to their new flag.
Billy Idol was honored Friday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received the 2,743rd star, and the first of the year, in the category of Recording. His star is located on Hollywood Boulevard in front of Amoeba Records.
Henry Rollins was on hand to honor Idol, noting he “has rock n roll in his veins and punk rock in his DNA,” and adding, “That is to say, he is the real thing, and maybe that’s why we’re here today. Because decade after decade, he has remained himself, and it takes a lot of guts and a lot of integrity.”
“It really is crazy to find myself getting an award like this, or being honored in this way,” Idol shared during the ceremony. “I mean, 47 years of doing this after I started in Generation X, and 35 years after coming here, I just really could never have imagined anything like this.”
Idol said that punk rockers in the ’70s didn’t have “much hope or anything,” so with no future they were “going to do what we love,” adding, “I did the music because I loved it. It wasn’t for any other reason, really.”
“Anyway, I didn’t really think doing this would last very long. We thought maybe six months, maybe a year, maybe two years,” he said. “I could never have imagined something like this. It’s just incredible.”
The White Stripes‘ 2003 album Elephant turns 20 this year, and Jack White‘s Third Man Records is celebrating with a new vinyl edition of the record.
Elephant XX will feature a new mono remix of the original multitrack tapes from when the album was first recorded, which uncovers previously unheard studio banter and an extra four bars at the end of “Seven Nation Army.”
The two-LP package will also be accompanied by a 7-inch single featuring Jack’s solo demo version of the Elephant cut “Hypnotize” and a take-one performance of “You’ve Got Her In Your Pocket,” as well as a DVD collecting various live performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

Paris recently celebrated celebrity agent Cade Hudson‘s birthday and shared a series of snaps of the two hanging out, but one photo in particular kick-started a photoshop conspiracy theory. While some pictures showed them hanging out with stars like Tiffany Haddish and Drew Barrymore, the third slideshow picture featured Paris and Hudson posing with Britney — and fans thought it seemed fishy.
It should be noted Hudson is Britney’s agent and is credited with helping her end her conservatorship. As for why fans are crying foul, they believe their smoothed-out faces and blurry outlines appear to be a bad photoshop job. It should also be noted half of Britney’s necklace is missing and her hand, which is resting on Hudson’s shoulders, appears distorted.
Eventually, Paris was fed up with the accusations flooding the comments and said in a statement, “To all of those asking. Some of these photos were taken on an iPhone so they ended up being blurry. So they used this app called Remini to make it look unblurry and sometimes the Ai distorts images.”
“Didn’t want to even dignify this with a response. But some of these conspiracy theories are absolutely ridiculous,” she closed.
Paris and Britney have been friends since the early aughts. The reality star was also invited to Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari.
(NEW YORK) — More than 7,000 nurses at two hospitals in New York City went on strike early Monday morning demanding better pay, better working conditions and more staffing.
The strike began at 6 a.m. after nurses at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx and Mount Sinai Hospital in Harlem failed to reach an agreement with hospital administration during a bargaining session Sunday night, according to the New York State Nurses’ Association.
“These nurses are dedicated professionals who provide quality patient care under unimaginable conditions day in and day out that were exacerbated by the pandemic,” Mario Cilento, president of the New York State AFL-CIO, a labor union, said in a statement Monday. “Now they are faced with the added challenge of short staffing that has reached critical levels and could compromise their ability to provide the best quality care to their patients.”
“It is time for the hospitals to treat these nurses fairly, with the dignity and respect they deserve, and to negotiate in good faith, quickly, to ensure nurses can get back to serving their communities by providing superior care to their patients,” the statement continued.
Strikes are occurring at three locations in the Bronx and one location in Manhattan and will occur until 7 p.m.
In a statement, Montefiore Medical Center said it offered a 19.1% compounded wage increase and promised to create more than 170 new nursing positions ahead of the strike.
“We remain committed to seamless and compassionate care, recognizing that the union leadership’s decision will spark fear and uncertainty across our community,” the statement read.
Mount Sinai told ABC News in a statement it also offered a 19.1% increased wage proposal but that nurses rejected the offer.
“Our first priority is the safety of our patients. We’re prepared to minimize disruption, and we encourage Mount Sinai nurses to continue providing the world-class care they’re known for, in spite of NYSNA’s strike,” Mount Sinai officials said.
Mount Sinai said it was preparing for the strike by “diverting a majority of ambulances,” starting “to cancel some elective surgeries … perform emergency surgery only,” “starting to transfer patients” to other hospitals and medical centers, and “working to safely discharge as many patients as appropriate,” according to an internal memo obtained by New York ABC station WABC-TV.
Gov. Kathy Hochul called for binding arbitration Sunday night to avert a strike, but union officials did not accept the proposal.
“Gov. Hochul should listen to frontline Covid nurse heroes and respect our federally protected labor and collective bargaining rights,” NYSNA said in a statement. “Nurses don’t want to strike. Bosses have pushed us to strike by refusing to seriously consider our proposals to address the desperate crisis of unsafe staffing that harms our patients.”
The NYSNA also urged New Yorkers to not be fearful or concerned about seeking medical care due to the shrike.
“To all of our patients, to all New Yorkers, we want to be absolutely clear: If you are sick, please do not delay getting medical care, regardless of whether we are on strike,” the organization tweeted. “In fact, we invite you to come join us on the strike line after you’ve gotten the care you need.”
(LONDON) — President Joe Biden condemned the “outrageous” storming of three major government buildings by supporters of the former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Sunday, as a heavy police presence remained in Brazil after chaotic scenes reminiscent of the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Brazil’s new president, the left-wing Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, known widely as “Lula,” confirmed that three buildings had been damaged in the attack. He was in Sao Paulo at the time, but traveled to Brazil on Sunday evening to survey the damage.
“The coup plotters who promoted the destruction of public property in Brasilia are being identified and will be punished,” he tweeted. “Tomorrow we resume work at the Planalto Palace. Democracy always. Goodnight.”
Lula previously served as president of Brazil from 2003 to 2011. He was jailed on corruption charges in 2019, but his convictions were later nullified and he successfully defeated Bolsonaro in elections in 2022. Lula is holding a virtual crisis meeting on Monday with all governors of the country to discuss the reinforcement of security nationwide, especially at official buildings.
Bolsonaro, a far-right politician, has often been compared to former President Donald Trump, and has falsely claimed Lula won in a “stolen election” — even going as far as to advocate for a military coup.
The chaos began when at least 100 buses full of supporters of Bolsonaro arrived for a planned protest in Brazil’s capital. An estimated 4,000 protesters gathered, before several hundred broke through police barriers to enter the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. Then, they were able to storm the Planalto Palace — one of the official palaces of the presidency. None of the buildings were in use at the time.
Brazilian security forces used tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowd. Armed officers were also seen confronting supporters of the ex-president on the roof of the Senate building.
At least 400 were arrested for their involvement in the attack on Sunday, according to military police, and they will face charges of rebellion. A further 1,200 protesters, camped out in Brazil, were arrested near the army headquarters. It is not clear how many have been released so far.
The Ministry of Justice has set up an email address to receive information about the “terrorist” attack, in addition to the ongoing investigation.
Bolsonaro was in Orlando, Florida, at the time of the attack, and said that he condemned the violence but denied Lula’s accusation that he was responsible.
Biden condemned the attack on Sunday, describing it as “outrageous.”
White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan tweeted his own condemnation: “The United States condemns any effort to undermine democracy in Brazil. President Biden is following the situation closely and our support for Brazil’s democratic institutions is unwavering. Brazil’s democracy will not be shaken by violence.”
(NEW YORK) — After months of closed door testimony, the special grand jury seated as part of the Fulton County, Georgia, investigation into potential 2020 election interference has finished its work and submitted its final report, according to a filing in the case Monday morning.
The special grand jury, which was seated in May 2022 as part of the investigation into former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the election, heard testimony from some of Trump’s closet allies and supporters — including lawyers Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Now, the grand jury has delivered its report and officially has been dissolved, according to a court order by Judge Robert C. McBurney filed on Monday morning.
McBurney has set a Jan. 24 hearing to determine whether the report will be made public.
The special grand jury does not have the ability to return an indictment and can only make recommendations concerning criminal prosecution. Another grand jury would bring any possible charges.
Fulton County District Attorney Fanni Willis officially launched the probe in February 2021, sparked in part by the now-infamous Jan. 2, 2021, phone call Trump made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which Trump pleaded with Raffensperger to “find 11,780 votes,” the exact number Trump needed to win Georgia.
Trump, who has denounced the probe, has repeatedly defended his phone call to Raffensperger, calling it “perfect.”
The special grand jury was seated in May 2022. Since then, it has issued subpoenas for testimony to a host of Trump allies, including former Trump chief of staff Marc Meadows and former Georgie Rep. Newt Gingrich.
A number of individuals were informed this summer that they were “targets” of the probe, including Giuliani. Sixteen people identified as “fake electors” were also notified that they were considered targets in the ongoing criminal investigation, prosecutors revealed in court documents.
The 16, who prosecutors alleged participated in a scheme to overturn the state’s election results, received letters alerting them that their “testimony was required by the special purpose grand jury and that [they were] targets of the investigation” the filing said.
