Ellie Goulding was due to release her fifth studio album, Higher Than Heaven, next month but she has some bad news — fans will have to wait even longer to hear it.
“To my incredible fans- I’m sorry to announce that we’re delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven to March 24,” she posted on Instagram. “I know you’ve all been so patient with me but we’ve had some exciting opportunities appear behind the scenes which I cannot wait to share with you in due course.”
Higher Than Heaven was originally set to be released on February 3. Ellie was very apologetic to her fans and revealed she prepared something special to make up for the delay.
“In the meantime as a thank you for your patience, I’m excited to confirm that my new single is called ‘Like A Saviour.’ It’s coming soon. we’ve shot the video and it’s one of my favourite videos I’ve ever done,” she announced. Ellie said she wanted to release the video as “a small thank you for bearing with me.”
She also had something else up her sleeve. “We also shot something really exciting this past weekend that’ll come around the album’s release. More on that very soon…,” she teased.
Ellie signed off with an optimistic, “Thank you all so much for sticking by me. I can’t wait to finally share this record with you all on March 24 and I hope you love it as much as I do.”
Ellie previously released the tracks “Let It Die” and “Easy Lover” off the new album.
After announcing earlier Tuesday that they’d be headlining the 2023 Boston Calling festival in May, Dave Grohl and company have revealed they’ll be leading the lineup for this year’s Bonnaroo and Sonic Temple festivals, as well.
The festivals mark the first live Foo Fighters performances since the band’s New Year’s Eve announcement that they intend to continue following the 2022 death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
There’s no word yet on who will be playing drums with the Foos for the shows. During their two tribute concerts to Hawkins last September, the “Everlong” rockers were joined by a number of guest drummers, including Blink-182‘s Travis Barker, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, prolific session drummer Josh Freese and Hawkins’ teenage son, Shane.
Bonnaroo takes place June 15-18 in Manchester, Tennessee, and also features Paramore, Korn, Portugal. the Man, Marcus Mumford, Pixies, My Morning Jacket, girl in red, The Revivalists, Franz Ferdinand, AFI, Fleet Foxes, Odesza and Kendrick Lamar.
The lineup for Sonic Temple, which will be held May 25-28 in Columbus, Ohio, also includes Tool, KISS, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Falling in Reverse, Chevelle, Puscifer, Sublime with Rome and The Pretty Reckless.
Tickets for Bonnaroo go on early access sale this Thursday, January 12, at 10 a.m. CT. A presale for Sonic Temple tickets begins Wednesday, January 11, at 10 a.m. ET.
Chris Young‘s gearing up to unleash his first new music since his latest #1.
“’Looking For You’ and ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven’ drop this Friday,” the Tennessee-born hitmaker teased on social media, calling the new tracks “two of my favorite songs I’ve written.” The post also includes a brief instrumental hook from one of the songs.
Chris notched his 13th #1 back in August, as he and Mitchell Tenpenny topped the chart with “At the End of a Bar.”
This is also likely the first glimpse at Chris’ ninth album, the follow-up to 2021’s Famous Friends; the title track with Kane Brown was also a CMA- and ACM-nominated #1 song.
Donell Jones “learned a valuable lesson” the hard way about driving while tired. The R&B singer revealed he got into a car accident after falling asleep behind the wheel.
“I fell asleep while driving yesterday and ended up in a ditch,” he wrote on Instagram alongside images of the car wreck. “I walk away with no injuries but I learned a valuable lesson, That if you’re tired just park the car cause this could’ve been bad.”
Donell admitted that he “needed this experience,” which also proved he is “truly protected.” He then thanked God for “wrapping your arms around me as you have always done,” adding, “My love and loyalty is to you.”

(NEW YORK) — New York Democratic Reps. Daniel Goldman and Ritchie Torres on Tuesday filed an official complaint with the House Committee on Ethics calling for an investigation into New York Republican Rep. George Santos.
“The House of Representatives has an obligation to police itself, and this is just the start of our mission to hold George Santos accountable to his constituents and the American people,” Goldman said in a statement to ABC News.
“George Santos, by his own admission, is an outright fraud. He has admitted that he didn’t graduate college, didn’t work on Wall Street or in private equity, doesn’t own property, and isn’t Jewish — all of which he asserted in order to dupe the voters in Queens and Nassau County,” Goldman continued.
A copy of the complaint obtained by ABC News shows the Democrats are requesting the ethics panel investigate Santos’s financial disclosures for possible violations of the Ethics in Government Act — which requires officials to timely, accurately and completely submit reports.
“Mr. Santos’s financial disclosure reports in 2020 and 2022 are sparse and perplexing,” the complaint reads. “At a minimum, it is apparent that he did not file timely disclosure reports for his most recent campaign. Moreover, his own public statements have contradicted some information included in the 2022 financial disclosure and confirmed that the 2022 financial disclosure failed to disclose other required information.”
A watchdog group on Monday alleged Santos violated federal campaign finance laws by concealing the true sources of campaign donations and illegally using campaign funds for personal expenses. The group called on the Federal Election Commission to investigate.
Santos on Tuesday maintained he’s done “nothing unethical” as he responded to the complaint being filed by his Democratic colleagues from New York.
“They are free to do whatever they want to do,” Santos told reporters. Asked if he’s worried about the move, which will trigger an investigation by the panel, Santos said, “I am not. I have done nothing unethical.”
Torres and Goldman hand-delivered a copy of their complaint to Santos, who was in his office, on Tuesday morning.
ABC News pressed Santos multiple times on Monday about the latest round of allegations.
“Did you misuse campaign finances?,” he was asked. “You’re accused of fabricating almost every single part of your life, why do you deserve to represent the people of New York?”
Santos did not answer the questions and asked for “personal space.”
When asked why he wouldn’t answer questions he said, “I’ll be addressing the media soon.”
When questioned when that would be, he responded, “On my time.”
Santos, after winning his election in New York’s 3rd Congressional District, admitted to fabricating much of his background after the lies were reported by multiple media outlets. Claims that he attended a prestigious private high school, graduated from Baruch College and worked for Goldman Sachs have all been disproven.
He’s now also facing multiple investigations from New York Attorney General Letitia James, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and other offices.
With a razor-thin majority in the House, Speaker Kevin McCarthy can only afford to lose a few votes from his own party. McCarthy has avoided directly addressing any of the revelations about Santos, ignoring most questions from reporters.
Pressed again as he left the chamber on Monday night, McCarthy told reporters he was handling it “internally.”
“I’m sure, at times, I’ll come tell you,” he said.
When asked if any repercussions should be taken against Santos, McCarthy said “Let me get through everything and I’ll let you guys know.”
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., was pressed Tuesday about whether Santos should be a member of the 118th Congress.
“When you saw him seated last week, there were no challenges to that. This is something that’s being handled internally,” Scalise said. “Obviously, there were concerns about what we had heard and so we’re gonna have to sit down and talk to him about it. And that’s something that we’re going to deal with. Just like there’s a lot of other things we’re going to deal with.”
Republican leaders are set to soon finalize committee assignments for the new Congress. Some of those assignments are are expected to go to Santos.
“I’ll take whatever I get. I’m not a picky person. I came here to serve the people,” Santos said Tuesday.

A dilapidated private jet that once belonged to Elvis Presley has sold at auction for $260,000. According to the Robb Report, the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car auction took place Sunday, on what would have been Elvis’ 88th birthday. His former wife Priscilla Presley was on hand for the sale.
“Elvis loved planes and this was one of them,” she told the gathered crowd. “This is my first auction and I’m excited to be here.”
The 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar, which Elvis bought in 1976, a year before his death, has been gathering dust at the Roswell International Air Center in Roswell, New Mexico, for nearly 40 years and is certainly a fixer-upper. That may be why it sold for only $260,000 — $286,000 with fees — which is much lower than the $430,000 — or $498,000 with fees — the previous owner, businessman Jim Gagliardi, paid for it in 2017.
One main issue for the new buyer will be moving the plane from its current location, since its four engines and most of the cockpit instrumentation were removed several years ago.
Lil Nas X finally responded to those angry parents who don’t want him to collaborate with The Wiggles, an Australian children’s music group.
Tempers erupted last week when the group shared an Instagram photo of them and Lil Nas X hanging out at Australia’s Falls Festival. They captioned it, “New collab in the wind?”
Some parents condemned the idea because of Lil Nas X’s past controversies, such as his 2021 “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” music video in which he gives the devil a lap dance or when he sold “Satan shoes” that allegedly contained a drop of human blood.
Critics felt Lil Nas X was too inappropriate and polarizing of a person to work with The Wiggles, so they threatened to stop supporting the group if they went through with it.
While The Wiggles have yet to respond to the controversy, Lil Nas X stepped up to the plate after a critic tweeted about the potential collab. “Lil Nas X has put human blood into 666 pairs of his design for nike shoes and is now planning to collaborate with The wiggles,” they wrote.
It should be noted Lil Nas X has a bit of a history with the Australian group. Prior to launching his Long Live Montero tour, he revealed he wanted them as co-headliners. He also said back in 2020 that he wanted The Wiggles to jump on a remix of “Rodeo.”
It is unknown if they are actually working on a collab at this time.
After its last show wasn’t broadcast — and went without stars — in the wake of a racism controversy surrounding the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the Golden Globes are back Tuesday evening.
The 80th annual event is back on NBC, which yanked the Golden Globes from its schedule in 2021, as stars including Tom Cruise and Scarlett Johansson flamed the organization in the wake of an L.A. Times expose about its inner workings, revealing the HFPA hadn’t included a single Black journalist.
Many mea culpas later, the Globes are back, after what the HFPA called sweeping changes to rehab its organization — and its image — in Hollywood. And with that, the stars are returning, as well.
Presenters will include Everything nominee Jamie Lee Curtis and Blonde‘s Ana De Armas, as well as Billy Porter, Euphoria Emmy winner Colman Domingo, Emmy winner Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and Dahmer: Monster‘s Niecy Nash-Betts.
Going into Tuesday night’s show, the drama The Banshees of Inisherin, starring In Bruges co-stars and pals Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, has the most nominations of the film side with seven, followed by the madcap multiverse movie Everything Everywhere All at Once with six.
On the television side of things, ABC’s Abbott Elementary is at the head of the class with five nominations, followed by a string of shows tied with four: The Crown, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Only Murders in the Building, Pam & Tommy and HBO’s Emmy-winning The White Lotus.

Tracee Ellis Ross has a new beauty launch that’s already heating up social media.
The Pattern Beauty founder and CEO announced Monday the release of her hair company’s first heat tool: a blow-dryer. The Pattern Blow Dryer was specifically designed for curls, coils and tight hair textures.
“I wanted The PATTERN Blow Dryer to function in a curl-conscious way that was professional grade yet easy to use,” Ross said in an Instagram post. “And it’s soooo pretty.”
The hair label’s latest launch includes four attachments — a diffuser, wide-tooth comb, brush and concentrator nozzle — and provides faster drying with a powerful, professional motor that won’t leave heat damage on textured hair.
In addition to the launch of the Pattern Blow Dryer, the brand has unveiled a heat protectant and shine spray.
