Trisha Yearwood is once again raising money for an animal charity that’s important to her. The singer is set to host her annual Dottie’s Yard Fundraiser on Tuesday on Talk Shop Live.
The fundraiser kicks off at 7 p.m. ET. Fans will be able to shop for exclusive merch and other items, with proceeds going to a good cause: Trisha’s own Dottie’s Yard, which she established in 2021 through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. It’s named after one of her beloved dogs.
Just last year Trisha raised $38,000 for Dottie’s Yard as part of the #BettyWhiteChallenge, an online movement that, following White’s death, urged folks to donate money to animal charities, a cause that was dear to the actress’s heart.
The African American Film Critics Association will host the 14th annual AAFCA Awards in March, but ahead of the celebration, it has announced the winners and special honorees who’ll be presented with awards that night.
Taking home Best Picture is The Woman King, directed by the winner of the Best Director category: Gina Prince-Bythewood. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery also secured two wins: the former’s “Lift Me Up,” performed by Rihanna, was named Best Song, with Angela Bassett winning the award for Best Supporting Actress. Glass Onion won in the Best Ensemble and Best Writing categories.
Among the other winners are Jeremy Pope, Danielle Deadwyler and Brian Tyree Henry, whowon awards for their respective roles in The Inspection, Till and Causeway. Kendrick Lamar‘s We Cry Together picked up the award for Best Live Action.
The AAFCA Awards will take place on March 1 at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, where special honors will be presented to Till;Wakanda Forever producer Nate Moore; production designer Hannah Beachler; Emancipation‘s Antoine Fuqua and Will Smith; and Michael Abels, the composer of “Nope.”

Filming for the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black is underway, and some of the first images of British actress Marisa Abela dressed as the late singer have hit the internet.
ET Canada obtained photos taken as filming was underway in Soho, a district in London. They showed Abela rocking Amy’s iconic winged eyeliner and beehive hairstyle. She was also dressed all in black, from her leather jacket to tight minidress and purse. She’s even wearing Amy’s iconic pink ballet shoes in the snaps.
Actor Eddie Marsan, who has been cast to play Amy’s father in the upcoming doc, was photographed walking next to Abela.
The filming took place by Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, which is the spot where Amy got her start in the music industry.
The candid snaps come a few days after director Sam Taylor-Johnson released the first official still of the movie. “Marisa Abela…watch out everyone! Cameras roll on Monday,” she captioned the photo, which showed off Abela’s impressive transformation into the late singer.
Back to Black — named after Amy’s five-time Grammy-winning album — will reportedly cover the late singer’s rise to fame and the life she enjoyed before stepping into the limelight.
Amy died of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011, at the age of 27.

Many people look at Dolly Parton as a feminist icon, but she didn’t necessarily set out to be one.
In an interview with Salvation South, Dolly insists, “I’m not trying to do anything other than live by example. I’m a strong-minded woman; I work hard. I demand that I get credit for what I do, and certainly I make myself known if I’m working on a thing.”
And while it hasn’t always been easy to break through in a male-dominated business, Dolly certainly doesn’t hold it against all men. “I know there are some bad ones out there, but there are some good ones, too! I always take that into consideration,” she says. “There’s a whole lot of men who are equally as for women as the ones who are not.”
Finally, Dolly shares, “There’s a lot of things men do that I don’t appreciate, but I try not to think it’s because they’re men. The same thing with women, too; there are a whole lot of women I don’t particularly care for how they do things.” She adds, “I may not respect how they go about things, but that’s their right. Whatever you are, do that! You’re just a phony if you aren’t doing what you think is right. Just open your heart, open your mind, and just let life flow!”
The Rolling Stones have given fans another taste of their upcoming live album, GRRR Live! The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers just shared a video of their live performance of “Wild Horses,” which originally appeared on their 1971 album, Sticky Fingers.
The video is taken from the Stones’ December 15, 2012, concert at Newark’s Prudential Center, which was part of their 50 & Counting tour, celebrating their 50th anniversary as a band. The original show aired as a pay-per-view event.
GRRR Live!, which is a full recording of the concert, is set to drop February 10. It features special guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Mick Taylor and The Black Keys.
To celebrate the release, the band is holding a special online interactive screening of the concert February 2 at 8 p.m., where viewers from across the globe will be able to share short video selfies, and see themselves and be seen by others on screen as the performance airs. In Flames has shared a new song called “Meet Your Maker,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Foregone.
In a statement, frontman Anders Fridén explains, “When we started to write for Foregone, ‘Meet Your Maker’ became the song that set the tone in terms of what we were aiming for sonically as well as thematically.”
“You’ll see it’s everything you’ve come to expect from In Flames and some,” Fridén adds.

Shakira‘s revenge tour continues against ex Gerard Piqué, this time by taking a few swipes at his mom.
Last week, the singer raised a few eyebrows after she unleashed her diss collab “BZRP Music Session #53” with Argentine DJ Bizarrap. In that song, Shakira not only seems to take Piqué down a few notches, she also calls out his young girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti, by singing, “You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo/ You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
She also had something to say about the soccer star’s mother, Montserrat Bernabéu, by singing, “You left my mother-in-law as my neighbor/ With the press at the door and the debt in the Treasury.”
According to British publication Daily Mail, Shakira is taunting Bernabéu by not only blasting her new song on repeat, but also erecting a life-sized witch figure that is faced toward Bernabéu’s house.
Of course, Shakira’s fans are loving this and are applauding the singer for embracing her villain era. Others argue Shakira’s revenge is deserved because of reports suggesting Piqué had been unfaithful.
Shakira and Piqué were together for 12 years before going their separate ways in June. They share two sons: 7-year-old Sasha and 9-year-old Milan.
The third Monday of January is often deemed “Blue Monday” and is described as the “most depressing day of the year,” citing the dreary weather and the post-holiday funk that the first month of the calendar brings. While the science behind “Blue Monday” has long been questioned, “Blue Monday” band New Order is using the occasion to raise money for charity.
The group has announced a new “Blue Monday”-themed T-shirt in support of the mental health and suicide prevention organization CALM, which is an acronym for Campaign Against Living Miserably.
The shirt was created by acclaimed graphic designer Peter Saville, who co-created the original “Blue Monday” single record sleeve.
“It’s a bit tongue and cheek launching a commemorative Blue Monday tee on Monday 16th January,” Saville says. “But ultimately we wanted to use this as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds for CALM’s important work.”
Saville adds, “Whether you’re having a Blue Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, we want people to know that CALM is there for you every day if you’re struggling.”

Jordan Davis just gave fans a taste of some new music. The singer shared a snippet of the new tune “No Time Soon” on Instagram ahead of Friday’s release.
“Tonight I’m like a freight train/ I’m rolling home to you. My heart like a matchbook/ and your kiss is a fuse,” he sings in the clip. “The world’s gonna have to kick that door in if it wants in this room/ So lay down I’m ‘bout to love you/ and I ain’t stopping no time soon.”
The track is the latest song Jordan’s releasing from his upcoming sophomore album, Blue Bird Days, which is set to drop February 17.
Bow Wow thinks a union is the answer to protecting the culture of hip-hop. In a tweet shared Saturday, he suggested that those in hip-hop take a page from the NBA Players Association.
“Hip hop needs a board!” he wrote. “No different than the NBA [with] the players association. A committee that can set rules, keep things in control, and protect this thing we call hip hop!”
The rapper then added an idea that would ensure veteran emcees are set up financially post-retirement. “Have a retirement plan for the OG rappers,” Bow Wow tweeted. “I hate seeing my heroes liquored out, no money, just washed.”
Bow Wow isn’t the first to suggest hip-hop unionize. Just last year, Chuck D, Kurtis Blow and KRS-One formed the Hip Hop Alliance — a “strategic partnership that represents the needs and concerns of the hip hop and R&B workforce through advocacy, information, and service,” per the site.
