Van Morrison is giving fans another taste of his upcoming album, Moving On Skiffle. The Irish singer has just dropped the new tune “Worried Man Blues.”
The track is a cover of an old folk song, which has previously been recorded by The Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and more.
The 23-track Moving on Skiffle is due out March 10 and will be available as a two-CD set, as a two-LP vinyl package, on cassette and via digital formats. It features a variety of covers, including Hank Williams‘ “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Cold Cold Heart,” and traditional tunes like “Gypsy Davy” and “Green Rocky Road.”
Morrison is set to promote his new album with a series of live dates, including March 13, 14 and 15 at The Stables in Milton Keynes, England, and April 6 and 7 at Whitla Hall in Belfast, Ireland.
(EL PASO, Texas) — Patrick Crusius will plead guilty to shooting and killing 23 people at an El Paso Walmart in August 2019, according to a new court filing.
Crusius asked the court for a rearraignment hearing after federal prosecutors agreed to take the death penalty off the table.
“Defendant notifies the Court of his intention to enter a plea of guilty to the pending Indictment,” the filing said.
Federal prosecutors investigated the shooting as both domestic terrorism and a hate crime because Crusius allegedly targeted Hispanics.
He allegedly told investigators he chose the store near the U.S.-Mexico border because it was frequented by Hispanic shoppers.
Crusius was indicted on 90 charges by federal prosecutors in 2019, including 22 counts of committing a hate crime resulting in death, 22 counts of use of a firearm to commit murder, 23 counts of a hate crime involving an attempt to kill and 23 counts of use of a firearm during a crime. While 22 people died on the day of the shooting or in the next two days, a 23rd person died eight months later.
There were also 23 people injured in the attack.
The 21-year-old Crusius allegedly cased the Walmart unarmed before re-entering with protective ear muffs, safety glasses and an AR-15-style assault rifle. He opened fire indiscriminately even before walking into the store.
Investigators believe Crusius posted a four-page racist, anti-immigrant document on the website 8chan before launching the attack, officials said.

(WASHINGTON) — Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., announced Monday that he will be “sidelined in Sarasota for several weeks” while recovering from a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung and torn ligaments in his neck — injuries that his office said he sustained when he fell from a ladder last week.
“I will be carrying out as many of my congressional duties as possible, and our DC and district staff continue to be readily available to assist Floridians,” Steube wrote in a tweet on Monday.
In a separate tweet, he added, “I am eager to rejoin my colleagues in Washington as soon as possible.”
Due to the elimination of proxy voting in the House, Steube’s absence will leave Republicans with one less vote on the floor and could impact their narrow majority’s ability to pass legislation and conduct other business.
Steube’s office said on social media last week that the congressman, who was first elected in 2018, took a 25-foot fall off a ladder while cutting tree limbs at his Sarasota property on Wednesday.
A witness then called 911 and Steube was taken to the intensive care unit at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, according to his office.
House Republicans have since shared well wishes for Steube, including Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
“He is in good spirits, and our entire conference prays for a swift recovery. I informed him he will serve on the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, and he is eager to get back to work” McCarthy tweeted on Thursday.
Steube was discharged from the hospital over the weekend and will be recovering at home, his office said.
On Saturday, he tweeted his thanks to his medical team. “[My wife] Jen and I remain endlessly blessed by the prayers and support from our friends, family, and community,” he wrote.
On Monday, he shared another update from home.
“I am blessed to have a great support team in my wife Jennifer as well as numerous friends and family, including the Steube pups,” he tweeted along with a photo of him lying on the couch in a neck brace with his two dogs by his side.
David Byrne is in the running for an Oscar. The Talking Heads frontman earned a Best Original Song nomination for “This Is a Life,” the song he wrote with Mitski and Ryan Lott for Best Picture nominee Everything Everywhere All at Once.
The tune does have some stiff competition, however. Other nominees in that category include the Diane Warren-penned song “Applause,” from Tell It Like a Woman, Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand,” from Top Gun: Maverick, Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up,” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and the Golden Globe winner “Naatu Naatu” from the Indian film RRR.
Byrne was previously nominated and won a Best Original Score Oscar in 1987 for his collaboration with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Cong Su on Bernardo Bertolucci’sThe Last Emperor.

Priscilla Presley is sharing a message for fans following her daughter Lisa Marie Presley‘s memorial at their family’s Graceland estate.
“Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words. It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference,” the 77-year-old matriarch wrote in a Facebook post and tweet late Monday.
Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the legendary singer Elvis Presley and Priscilla, died on Jan. 12 at the age of 54 due to cardiac arrest.
Her death came two days after she attended the Golden Globes, where actor Austin Butler won the Golden Globe for best actor in a motion picture-drama for his portrayal of the king of rock ‘n’ roll in Baz Luhrmann‘s Elvis. Butler remembered Lisa Marie Presley for her warmth, love and authenticity after news of her death broke.
“My heart is completely shattered for Riley, Finley, Harper and Priscilla at the tragic and unexpected loss of Lisa Marie. I am eternally grateful for the time I was lucky enough to be near her bright light and will forever cherish the quiet moments we shared. Her warmth, her love and her authenticity will always be remembered,” Butler said in a statement at the time.
She was celebrated Sunday in a public memorial held at Graceland– the Memphis, Tennessee, estate she had inherited from her late father — where fellow singer-songwriters Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Axl Rose, and Alanis Morissette performed in her honor.
(LONDON) — Princess Eugenie, granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, is pregnant.
Eugenie, 32, and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child, Buckingham Palace confirmed Tuesday.
Eugenie, the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and Brooksbank are already parents to a son named August, who will turn 2 in February.
Eugenie spoke recently in Davos, Switzerland, about her son and how becoming a mom has changed how she thinks about the world and preserving the environment.
“As a mother, you totally change. Now I’m scared of flying where I’d never be before. It’s the same with how you view the world,” she said. “Now all I think about is what happens to rising sea levels and the communities that are on the beaches who depend entirely on the sea, as well as what August can do about it in the future.”
“Everything is for them, right? Every decision we now make has to be about how August is going to be able to live his life,” Eugenie said.
Eugenie’s son and now his future sibling count Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s children, Archie and Lilibet, and Prince William and Princess Kate’s children, George, Charlotte and Louis, among his second cousins.
Eugenie’s older sister, Princess Beatrice, is the mother of a daughter, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who was born in September 2021.
The baby will be the second grandchild for Sarah and Andrew, who continues to face scrutiny over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

On Tuesday morning, Academy Award winner Riz Ahmed and star of the hit thriller M3GAN, Allison Williams, announced the nominees for the 95th Academy Awards from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
The modestly-budgeted multiverse adventure Everything Everywhere All at Once led the pack with 11 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, and Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis. Yeoh makes history as the first Asian actress to earn a Best Actress Oscar nomination.
Hosted once again by Jimmy Kimmel, the 95th Annual Academy Awards will air on ABC on March 12 and can also be streamed on ABC.com, Hulu Live TV and YouTubeTV.

Panic! At the Disco, which at this point is essentially Brendon Urie, is disbanding after its upcoming European tour, Urie announced.
“I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more,” Urie posted on Instagram, noting that he and his wife are expecting their first child.
In his lengthy statement, Urie writes, “Well, it’s been a hell of a journey…Growing up in Vegas I could’ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we’ve made along the way.”
“But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard…Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon!” he continues. “The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure.”
Urie goes on to thank fans “for all your immense support over the years,” adding, “It has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people but also share our time with you.”
He concluded, “I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing.”
The tour starts in Vienna, Austria on February 20 and wraps up March 10 in Manchester, England.
Since their 2005 debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, Panic! At the Disco has scored hits like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” “High Hopes” and “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.” Their most recent album, Viva Las Vengeance, came out in August of 2022.
Taylor Swift didn’t make the cut, but Lady Gaga and Rihanna did.
