Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo has shared covers of the Gordon Lightfoot songs “Affair on 8th Avenue” and “Your Love’s Return.”
The recordings, which feature vocals by musician Pete Shoulder, are being released as bonus tracks for DeLeo’s debut solo album, Lessons Learned, which dropped last October.
“Gordon Lightfoot is one of the sculptors of a musical era that I cherish and hold so dear to my heart,” DeLeo says. “I covered these two songs out of respect and relating to Gordon’s willingness to convey his vulnerability in his songs.”
(ABINGDON, Va.) — Two inmates, including a convicted murderer, who escaped from a Virginia jail have been apprehended in Tennessee, authorities said, more than 24 hours after announcing a fugitive manhunt.
The inmates — identified by the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office as Johnny Shane Brown, 51, of Rogersville, Tennessee, and Albert Lee Ricketson, 31, of Abingdon, Virginia — allegedly escaped the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority in Abingdon from a recreational yard around 2:45 p.m. Thursday. A Washington County emergency alert issued about an hour later warned residents to stay indoors and lock their doors.
A 2008 gold Cadillac SUV allegedly stolen by Brown and Ricketson in Abingdon following their escape was located in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, along Route 66 on Friday morning, the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office said.
The two men were found “hiding in the upstairs of a barn” in Rogersville, Tennessee, about four miles from where the stolen vehicle was found, and were arrested without incident, the sheriff’s office said.
Brown, will be held in Washington County Tennessee Jail without bond, while Ricketson will be held in Hawkins County Tennessee Jail without bond, authorities said.
A $5,000 reward for each man was being offered by the U.S. Marshals Service for information leading to their apprehension.
Ricketson was convicted on two counts of first-degree murder, while Brown is a federal inmate, authorities said.
Ricketson was arrested in August 2020 in the fatal shooting of a man and woman in Washington County. A jury convicted him of two counts of first-degree murder in November 2022, court records show.
Brown was in federal custody after allegedly escaping from another jail nearly a year ago. He and two other inmates broke out of the Sullivan County Jail in Tennessee through an air vent in early February 2022, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office said at the time.
The other two inmates were found dead following a police pursuit in North Carolina, while Brown was apprehended in the state six days after they escaped, authorities said.
Brown was in the Sullivan County Jail at the time of the escape after being convicted of distributing methamphetamine, according to an indictment. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the felony offense, court records show.
A plea agreement on the escape charge was due by April 20 and a jury trial was scheduled to start on May 11, federal court records show.

It’s only two weeks until The Rolling Stones drop their new live album, GRRR Live!, and they’re sharing yet another track from it. The band just dropped the live performance of “Doom and Gloom” to streaming services.
“Doom and Gloom” was the lead single from the band’s 2012 album, GRRR!, a compilation celebrating their 50th anniversary. At the time it was the first song the band recorded together in almost seven years.
GRRR Live!, dropping February 10, is a recording of The Stones’ December 15, 2012, concert at Newark’s Prudential Center, which was part of their 50 & Counting tour, celebrating their 50th anniversary. It features guest appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Mick Taylor and The Black Keys. The album is now available for preorder.
The new romantic comedy Maybe I Do, out Friday in limited release, is filled with all-star actors of the genre. Big names like Richard Gere, Diane Keaton and Susan Sarandon fill out a cast of characters who all feel unfulfilled in their relationships. Gere told ABC Audio the film explores big questions about love and life.
“How, when you’ve only got a few years left, whatever that is, how do you make it meaningful?” Gere said of the film’s main themes. “Can you get closer to what your real, authentic self and impulses are?”
For star Emma Roberts, the appeal was getting to act alongside the famous actors she grew up watching on screen.
“When you think of iconic movies, they’re in most of them,” Roberts said of her co-stars. “So, it was definitely a career highlight to be in the same room as Diane Keaton, because I just love everything she does. And to have her play my mom, I was just, like, could not believe that I got that opportunity.”
Keaton found her character — a kind, dutiful housewife who desires more passion in her life — to be similar to her own mother. In fact, she said that her parents’ relationship influenced her own life.
“I saw that it was complicated,” Keaton said. “I understood that. And that is probably one of the reasons why I don’t know if I could be in a marriage.”
As for Sarandon, she described her own love language as being about acts of service.
“I think it’s a good sign when making them happy brings you joy,” Sarandon said. “When you really find yourself thinking of little things every day that enhances someone’s life.”

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will star in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, It Ends with Us.
Hoover announced the news in a video shared on TikTok. “I think that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have what it takes to bring these characters to life and I cannot wait for you guys to see that happen,” she said.
Baldoni is also set to direct the film, which is in development with Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures. Deadline first reported the news.
Lively will play the book’s main character, Lily Bloom, and Baldoni will play Ryle Kincaid, the man Lily falls for. The book touches largely on domestic abuse, which Hoover has previously said was inspired by her mother’s escape from her own abusive relationship.
In her TikTok video, Hoover showed her fans the house she grew up in “from the age of probably 4 to 18.”
“I just want everyone to know how appreciative I am to my mother, who got us out of a scary situation when I was little and brought us here to this house,” she explained.
“This house was full of love and joy,” she continued. “So thank you, Mom, for making that very difficult decision. This house holds nothing but wonderful memories for me because of her.”

The Golden Ratio goes back thousands of years, according to the Victorian Cosmetic Institute. It’s “the ratio of line segments that occur when an object is divided so that the ratio of B to A is the same as the ratio of C to B.”
While that’s on the technical side, it comes down to facial symmetry: The more symmetrical the face, the more attractive a person is.
With that in mind, Dr. Julian De Silva, a London-based facial cosmetic surgeon, used computer mapping to track some famous faces.
The Gray Man star Page’s competition included Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth, Creed III and Black Panther‘s Michael B. Jordan,and Harry Styles.
Of those, with a score of 93.65%, Regé was deemed the top.
Hemsworth was second, with a score of 93.53%; Michael B. ranked a very close third, with 93.46%; and Styles scored 92.3%.
