Lewis Capaldi made a guest appearance at The 1975’s concert Wednesday — after the band teased Harry Styles would be joining them onstage.
The spoof happened at The 1975’s show at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England. The alternative band has brought on famous guests before, including Taylor Swift,so fans were probably expecting to have another famous face drop by.
They weren’t wrong, but they were intentionally misled on who was showing up onstage.
Ahead of Lewis’ arrival, The 1975 played a prank cutaway scene that read, “Guest starring… Harry Styles.” The audience let out a thunderous roar, but when it was revealed Lewis was actually the night’s guest, the cheers grew even louder.
The Scottish singer shared the moment to TikTok, which sees him joking with the crowd, “My name is Harry Styles, it’s good to be here. I know what you’re thinking, ‘He looks different. And he sounds different.’ But make no mistake, I am Harry Styles.”
That wasn’t the only surprise Lewis had in store that night; instead of only performing his own songs, he decided to throw it back with Swift’s classic “Love Story.” He also shared that moment to TikTok, which shows the audience singing along with him.
Taylor debuted the live performance of “Anti-Hero” at The 1975’s London show.
(ATLANTA) — Only about half of adults in the United States are meeting physical activity guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, new research shows.
The report, published Thursday by the CDC looked at the percentage of American adults aged 18 and older who are getting 150 minutes of moderate exercise and two days of muscle strengthening per week.
Moderate exercise includes any activity that gets the heart beating faster and muscle strengthening includes anything that makes muscles work harder than usual.
Researchers analyzed data from the 2020 National Health Interview Survey data to see if adults were meeting the guidelines across regions of the U.S. and in urban vs. rural areas.
Just 46.9% of adults across the country are currently meeting one of those guidelines.
The team then compared differences in meeting guidelines in the Northeast, Midwest, South and West.
Adults living in the West were the most likely to meet both guidelines with 28.5% performing the weekly recommended guidelines. Meanwhile adults in the South were the least likely at 22%.
The same held true when breaking up the guidelines into two sections: aerobic and muscle-strengthening.
Those living in the West were most likely to meet both with 52% performing 150 minutes of aerobic exercise a week and 35.3% performing strength training two days a week.
Southern adults were the least likely with 43.3% meeting aerobic guidelines and 29% meeting strength training guidelines.
When it came to seeing who was meeting guidelines by urban-rural classification, adults in large central metros — such as New York City, Chicago and Miami — were the most likely to meet both guidelines at 27.8%. These adults were also most likely to meet individual guidelines with 50% for aerobic and 35.2% for muscle-training.
Adults in rural areas were the least likely with 16.2% meeting both, 38.2% meeting aerobic and 21.1% meeting muscle-strengthening.
Researchers say the findings are concerning because not getting enough physical training can lead to several diseases that increase the risk of death including obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer.
Meanwhile, physical activity has several health benefits such as improving sleep, cognition and bone and musculoskeletal health while reducing the risk of dementia, according to the CDC.
The U.S. has launched national efforts such as the CDC’s “Active People, Healthy Nation,” with a goal of helping 27 million Americans become more physically active by 2027. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has also launched “Move Your Way,” encouraging Americans to start moving, adding that any amount is better than none.
However, such efforts “require ongoing, detailed surveillance to understand geographic disparities in meeting guidelines,” according to the authors.
“This body of…evidence is important for understanding rural-urban disparities in physical activity and tracking the attainment of national objectives; however, it is only the first step,” the team wrote in the report.
“A national paradigm shift is needed to build structural capacity through investments in human, informational, organizational, fiscal, and physical resources (and to implement policy, systems, and environment changes to impact population level physical activity across the United States, and especially outside of large metropolitan areas,” they continued.
We now know more about the medical procedure that’s keeping Incubus bassist Ben Kenney off the road.
In an Instagram post, Kenney reveals that he underwent surgery after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022.
“As soon as I got home from tour I had a successful operation to have it removed,” Kenney writes alongside a photo of stitches on his head behind his ear. “This year I am taking some time away from touring & social media to recover.”
“I won’t physically be at the shows but I will be there in spirit,” he adds. “I miss you all and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and in good health.”
Kenney’s post comes after Incubus announced Wednesday that Kenney is “currently recovering from a recent medical procedure and will be unable to perform with us on our upcoming run at the end of the month.”
The “Drive” rockers added, “We wish Ben a speedy recovery and can’t wait for him to rejoin us onstage soon!”
The affected shows include dates in Costa Rica, Texas and New Orleans. Tal Wilkenfeld, who’s played with artists including Mick Jagger, Prince and Jeff Beck, will be filling in for Kenney.
Incubus also has shows scheduled for May and June, including dates with Coheed and Cambria and a set at Las Vegas’ Sick New World festival. It’s unclear whether Kenney will be back for those performances.
Rick Wakeman has booked some U.S. shows for this spring. The Yes keyboardist just announced dates for his latest tour, An Evening with Rick Wakeman: His Music and Stories.
The trek promises that Wakeman will be performing songs spanning his more than 50-year career, including tracks from Yes and his solo work. He’s also planning to perform songs from his days as a session player working with artists like David Bowie, as well as various covers.
“It’s always so enjoyable playing in America,” Wakeman shares. “At every show, I see old friends and hopefully, make new ones.”
The tour is set to kick off March 15 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, with dates confirmed through April 9 in Derry, New Hampshire; more are expected to be announced. Tickets for most shows go on sale February 3 at rwcc.com.
The tour announcement follows the news of Wakeman’s upcoming concept album, A Gallery of the Imagination, which will be released February 24.
After apparently faking out social media followers with speculation about having a baby girl with boyfriend Darius Jackson, Keke Palmerseemed to slip on The Tonight Showwith Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night that she’s actually having a boy.
An excited Fallon began the chat by making sure the very pregnant Palmer was comfortable, from back support on her seat to LaCroix sparkling water to settle her stomach. He also shouted a hello to her baby in utero, exclaiming, “I can’t wait to meet you!”
When speaking about what astrological sign her baby will be, Keke noted “either gonna be a Pisces or an Aries,” meaning the baby will be born in March. “Pisces are known to be deep. They’re emotional creatures, so I just wanna make sure I’m not too blunt for my baby boy … You know, sometimes I can be too ‘tell it like it is.'”
She added, “I need to wade in the water with a Pisces … You know, ‘Just keep it chill, child!'”

Pantera‘s upcoming concert at the Gasometer festival in Vienna, Austria, has been canceled, the show’s promoters Mind Over Matter and Barracuda Music announced.
The news comes after the metal outfit — now consisting of longtime members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown alongside Black Label Society‘s Zakk Wylde and Anthrax‘s Charlie Benante in place of the late Abbott brothers, “Dimebag” Darrell and Vinnie Paul, respectively — was dropped from the lineups of Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals earlier this week.
Statements from Rock am Ring and Rock im Park read, “In the last few weeks, we have had many intensive conversations with artists, our partners and you, the festival fans, we have continued to deal with the criticism together and decided to remove [Pantera] from the program.”
According to German news site DW.com, said criticism stems from when Anselmo yelled “white power” while giving the Nazi salute during a performance at the 2016 Dimebag tribute concert, Dimebash. Anselmo’s made multiple public apologies following the incident, while his band Down was dropped from several European festivals that year.
Pantera, which reformed at the end of 2022, is set to play Japan in March, followed by a European tour kicking off in May. They’re also scheduled to launch a U.S. headlining tour in July, in between playing several U.S. festivals and opening for Metallica.
(WASHINGTON) — The Department of Justice, FBI and international law enforcement partners mounted a major cyber crackdown against the notorious Russia-linked ransomware gang the Hive on Thursday, seizing its website and dismantling much of its digital infrastructure.
“The Federal Bureau of Investigation seized this site as part of a coordinated law enforcement action taken against Hive Ransomware,” a note on Hive’s leak site, shown in English and Russian languages, said Thursday.
Hive ransomware actors have “victimized” over 1,300 companies worldwide, and are believed to have received approximately $100 million in ransom payments, according to information previously released by the FBI, authorities said.
“Last night, the Justice Department dismantled an international ransomware network responsible for extorting and attempting to extort hundreds of millions of dollars from victims in the United States and around the world,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement Thursday.
The Hive gang is known to threaten companies they target by warning they’ll leak their information on the internet, according to bulletins released by law enforcement. Their hackers typically leave a ransom note with instructions on the network.
In one instance last month, Hive hackers allegedly took the data of 270,000 people from the largest medical complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The information they stole included full names, addresses, medical records, payment info and in some cases social security numbers of patients at the hospital.
“The coordinated disruption of Hive’s computer networks, following months of decrypting victims around the world, shows what we can accomplish by combining a relentless search for useful technical information to share with victims with investigation aimed at developing operations that hit our adversaries hard,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement.
The death of David Crosby last week has sparked renewed interest in his work, including his first-ever live album, David Crosby & The Lighthouse Band Live at the Capitol Theatre, which was released in December.
The vinyl release has now sold out, with BMG announcing that it is working on a repressing to make more available.
The album, recorded in December 2018 at the Port Chester, New York, theater, reached number three on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart and made it to 51 on the overall Albums chart.
In discussing the show that’s featured on the album, Crosby told Relix in what turned out to be one of his final interviews, “We were feeling very confident. The tour had been a success, this was the last show and we’d sold it out.” He added, “Everything had been building toward what ended up being one of those magical nights.”

The TikTok-er as Kylie rattles through “Water,” “Earth” and “Fire” — all rejected by Travis — until she chooses “Air,” making him sit up at attention.
The video got more than 12.4 million views and earned a pair of “crying laughing” emoji from the real Kylie.
Incidentally, simo_ziqubu posted a follow-up video of himself proudly sashaying around his apartment, with the caption, “How I walk around the house knowing I made Kylie Jenner laugh.”
Luke Combs just revealed the title and cover art for his new album, which comes out March 24.
The CMA Entertainer of the Year’s fourth album will be called Gettin’ Old and depicts half his face on the cover, in front of a farmhouse at night.
“This album is about the stage of life I’m in right now,” Luke reveals in an Instagram post. “One that I’m sure a lot of us are in, have been through, or will go through. It’s about coming of age, loving where life is now but at the same time missing how it used to be, continuing to fall for the one you love and loving them no matter what, living in the moment but still wondering how much time you have left, family, friends, being thankful, and leaving a legacy.”
“Me and so many others have poured their hearts and souls into this record and I hope you love it as much as we do,” he adds.
The title track, “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” comes out on Friday, which seems to make the new record a companion piece to his previous one, Growin’ Up, which came out last June. Earlier this week, Luke shared a performance of the song on his socials.
