Kacey Musgraves has collaborated with Boy Smells to dream up a new room spray inspired by her song “Slow Burn.”

Priced at $51.99, the new KM + Boy Smells Slow Burn Room Spray is described on her merch store as “glowing and dark,” “a little dank, a little crisp” and “commanding but not in a hurry.” Ingredients in this Kacey-centric spray include incense, black pepper and guaiac wood, as well as smoked papyrus and amber.

“The best-selling candle available now in the form of a moody and delicious room spray. [fire emoji],” Kacey writes on Instagram. “[If you spray it on yourself I won’t judge you.] But, fun fact: the candle wax can be used as a solid perfume. It’s skin safe!”

Prior to this, Kacey teamed up with Boy Smells for her signature “Slow Burn” candle. “Slow Burn” was featured in her Grammy-winning album, Golden Hour.

The KM + Boy Smells Slow Burn Room Spray is available for preorder on Kacey’s merch store now, with shipment beginning the week of March 27.

The tune, “True Love,” is described as a ballad and is the first new song from the band since they dropped the single “Another Soulmate” back in 2013.

Madonna certainly knows how to generate headlines. After teasing a new relationship with Josh Popper earlier this month, the singer went Instagram official with the 29-year-old boxer.

This comes shortly after Madge parted ways with 23-year-old model Andrew Darnell.

The 64-year-old singer shared a snap of the two locking lips to her Instagram Story. She and Popper were dressed in all black, including masks, for what appeared to be a party celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim. The singer captioned the post, “Killers who are partying,” a reference to a song off her 2019 album Madame X.

Madonna revealed on her Story that she dressed as the historical figure Queen Esther for the celebration. Esther is also Madonna’s self-given Hebrew name.

The party came days after Madonna sat ringside at Popper’s fight at Manhattan’s Classic Car Club, according to Page Six. She reportedly left as soon as his match ended, which he won.

John Mellencamp showed his continuing support for farmers Tuesday, joining them as they marched in Washington, D.C., at the Rally for Resilience: Farmers for Climate Action.

The Farm Aid co-founder took the stage at Freedom Park and performed an acoustic version of “Rain on the Scarecrow,” his 1985 track about a farmer dealing with the foreclosure of his land.

“Here’s all I can say – keep slugging,” Mellencamp told the farmers, according to Billboard. “We’ve been slugging since 1985 and let’s keep slugging,” referring to the year he, Willie Nelson and Neil Young formed Farm Aid. He added, “Let’s try to improve the quality of the food that we eat, the air that we breathe and the people that we are.”

Mellencamp also remarked about the faces he saw in the crowd, noting they were “much younger than they used to be.”

“And I think that’s great that there are younger people trying to improve the planet and the food that we eat. So it’s up to you guys to lead the way,” he said.

The rally comes as Congress begins work on the 2023 Farm Bill. It was part of a three-day gathering, which also included cultural events and a demonstration of climate-friendly farming practices.

Although BTS is on a break so its individual members can pursue solo careers and fulfill their military obligations, RM is optimistic about the band’s future.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Efe, the rapper opened up about finding himself during BTS’ hiatus. “After 10 years as a member of BTS, I didn’t know who I was and I wanted to know,” RM said. He added, “I started out as a teenage rapper, then BTS came along and it was all very intense. Now that the group is inactive, I’ve gone back to thinking about the beginnings and the real reasons why I joined BTS.”

During the hiatus, RM released his debut solo album, Indigo.

RM hinted this break will also benefit his bandmates. “When you are famous, staying on top is very difficult … but I think BTS will make it,” he offered. “It will come together again when we finish our military service, and we will look for new synergies between us to enter a second phase.”

As for how long he sees BTS staying on top of the world, the rapper cryptically added, “But, in any case, nothing lasts forever.”

The 28-year-old artist will soon embark on his mandatory military service.

All South Korean men age 18 to 28 are required to complete two years of military service. BTS and other South Korean entertainers have been able to postpone their enlistment until they turn 30. RM’s bandmate Jin enlisted in December, while j-hope started the process for fulfilling military service obligations.

(NEW YORK) — Locked out of his work computer for more than a week, a two-year Twitter employee didn’t know whether he’d been laid off. So he asked CEO Elon Musk in a message on Twitter.

“Maybe if enough people retweet you’ll answer me here?” Haraldur Thorleifsson, who joined the company after it acquired his startup Ueno, tweeted on Monday.

Musk, who has nearly 131 million followers on the platform, responded on Tuesday.

“What work have you been doing,” he asked.

In an ensuing exchange, Musk volleyed questions at Thorleifsson about his work and voiced skepticism about limitations caused by a disability. Thorleifsson, a design manager, has muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair.

In a post, Musk said Thorleifsson “did no actual work, claimed as his excuse that he had a disability that prevented him from typing, yet was simultaneously tweeting up a storm.”

In response, Thorleifsson tweeted: “This wasn’t a problem in Twitter 1.0 since I was a senior director and my job was mostly to help teams move forward, give them strategic and tactical guidance.”

“I’m typing this on my phone btw,” Throleifsson, who goes by “Halli,” later added. “It’s easier for [sic] because I only need to use one finger.”

Musk – the second-richest person in the world, according to Fortune – has faced scrutiny over job cuts at the company in recent months.

Days after Musk acquired Twitter in October, the company began layoffs that ultimately cut more than half of its 7,500-person workforce, raising concerns about Twitter’s capacity to maintain its platform.

In a memo to employees in November, Musk asked workers to commit to being “extremely hardcore” or accept three months of severance upon their exit from the company. Many chose to leave.

For his part, Musk defended his actions at Twitter as part of an aggressive effort to rescue the company from financial peril, which he described in a Twitter Spaces interview in December as an “emergency fire drill.”

“That’s the reason for my actions,” he added. “They may seem sometimes spurious or odd or whatever.”

Musk previously said he overpaid for the platform at the purchasing price of $44 billion.

Twitter did not respond to a request for comment.

Ultimately, Thorleifsson said on Monday that he received a message from Twitter saying that he no longer worked for the company.

However, later on Monday, Musk said he held a video call with Thorleifsson to “figure out what’s real vs what I was told.”

“Better to talk to people than communicate via tweet,” he added.

By Monday evening, Musk issued an apology and indicated that Thorleifsson had been offered to return to Twitter.

“I would like to apologize to Halli for my misunderstanding of his situation,” Musk tweeted. “It was based on things I was told that were untrue or, in some cases, true, but not meaningful.”

“He is considering remaining at Twitter,” Musk added.

Thorleifsson, a philanthropist in his home country of Iceland, has led an effort to build 1,500 wheelchair ramps across the nation to improve accessibility.

He did not appear to indicate whether he intends to return to the company.

In a final post on Tuesday, Thorleifsson told his 200,000 followers: “Anyway, that’s enough about me.”

He added: “How are you doing?”

Wednesday is International Women’s Day, and to mark the occasion and support a cause that’s important to them, MisterWives have shared a video they’ve created from fan-shot footage, showing them performing No Doubt‘s “Just a Girl” live in concert.

While the video footage was shot at various shows last summer, the audio you hear in the clip was recorded in Boston on June 24, 2022, the day Roe v. Wade was overturned. The caption of the YouTube video reads, “A tribute to the iconic No Doubt anthem we grew up on that was released in 1995- when women had more rights than they do in 2023. May we continue to put our love and rage into fighting for all bodies and their autonomy.”

MisterWives is using the video to encourage fans to donate to the ACLU and the National Network of Abortion Funds, and they’re also making their own donations.

In a statement, frontwoman Mandy Lee says of “Just a Girl,” “An anthem I was raised on that stood up to a male dominated world of oppression and inequality rings louder almost 30 years later with the devastating overturning of Roe v. Wade. Covering this song last summer, while our fundamental rights were being stripped away, was a catharsis I don’t think I’ve ever had that intense while performing.”

She adds, “Whether that be through protest, voting, and donating to organizations that provide access to abortion care, we must continue the fight to protect and liberate all bodies and their autonomy.”

House Republicans say they plan to visit Jan. 6 defendants in jail

(WASHINGTON) — Republicans on the House Oversight Committee said Wednesday they are planning a visit with some defendants who are being held in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer of Kentucky and Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who also sits on the panel, told ABC News that the committee is planning to send a letter this week to lawmakers regarding the planned visit to the Washington, D.C., detention facility.

Greene said the visit would focus on the conditions of those jailed over Jan. 6, including what she claimed to be “reports of abuse.”

“They’re pretrial and they haven’t even been convicted and they’re not allowed to see their families, many times are not allowed to see their attorneys — the food has been a major complaint,” Greene alleged. “There’s been complaints of it tasting like cleaner.”

The vast majority of defendants charged in connection with Jan. 6 have not been ordered to be detained pending trial, but in the several dozen cases where individuals have been held, a judge has determined that there’s no combination of conditions that could be placed on them to ensure that they either wouldn’t pose a danger to the general public or risk obstructing justice in their case.

In late 2021, the U.S. Marshals Service conducted an inspection of the D.C. jail’s Central Detention Facility – a separate facility from where the Jan. 6 defendants have been detained — and said they would relocate roughly 400 inmates to a separate jail in Pennsylvania after finding the conditions there did not meet minimum federal standards.

An inspection of the facility holding the Jan. 6 defendants, however, “did not identify conditions that would necessitate the transfer of inmates,” the Marshals Service said in 2021.

Greene has previously visited some Jan. 6 defendants in jail where she saw they were “suffering greatly,” she said in 2021.

She was criticized in December for what she said was a “sarcastic joke” about the riot at the Capitol: “If Steve Bannon and I had organized that, we would have won. … Not to mention, it would’ve been armed.”

She said Wednesday that the jail visit would be open to members outside of the Oversight Committee but that a date has not been confirmed.

“We’re gonna try and see what it looks like … that’s part of what the Oversight Committee does with everything pertaining to the federal government, so we have some members that are going to hopefully tour that prison,” Comer told reporters.

The news comes as House Speaker Kevin McCarthy faces bipartisan backlash over exclusively sharing security footage from Jan. 6 with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, who used the clips to try and downplay the Capitol attack — drawing a rebuke from the Capitol Police chief. McCarthy said Tuesday he released the video in the interest of “transparency.”

The Department of Justice said earlier this week that at least 1,000 people have been charged in connection with the Capitol assault, which sent lawmakers briefly into hiding. One of the people who breached the building, Ashli Babbitt, was also fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer.

Pink reveals her legs were almost “ripped off” in a stunt gone wrong

Pink reveals her legs were almost “ripped off” in a stunt gone wrong
Michael Bezjian

Pink has a reputation for performing aerial acrobatics during her performances, but there was a time when a stunt went horribly wrong and nearly severed her legs.

Speaking to the United Kingdom’s Heart Radio, Pink spoke about the nature of her stunts and the toll they have taken on her body, revealing, “Oh, I’ve been hurt! I almost had my legs ripped off.”

While not revealing where or when the accident happened, Pink recalled, “I was in this sort of ankle knot hold, and the winches started going apart and you can’t get out of that. And especially when your weight is down on it.”

She said the hold acted similarly to a Chinese finger trap, adding, “It was awful.”

Pink praised the person in charge of ensuring the stunts are performed correctly for his quick response. “He got under me and took the pressure off so I could get my feet out in time. But, had he not, it would have been really bad,” she explained.

The singer also spoke of another incident in which she crashed on her “360 device,” which she says allows her to “fly like ‘Pinker Bell.'” She remarked, “That crashed and that hurt a lot.”

“But! The best thing that came from that was our tour T-shirt then became, ‘I made that barricade my b****.’ And that was my favorite tour T-shirt,” she grinned.

In other Pink news, she made her debut at the 19th annual Desert Smash charity tennis event on Tuesday at La Quinta Resort & Club in Hollywood.

She teamed with tennis pro Grigor Dimitrov in a match against Robin Thicke and pro Victoria Azarenka.

Pink also celebrated International Women’s Day with Azarenka and served as a special chair umpire during a match between Casper Ruud and Frances Tiafoe.
