(ATLANTA) — Fulton County prosecutors leading the criminal investigation into efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia are now looking to question one of Trump’s attorneys as part of the probe, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

Prosecutors in District Attorney Fani Willis’ office have requested an interview with Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb, according to multiple sources. It is not clear what information prosecutors hope to gain from Bobb, whose role in Trump’s handling of classified documents is also being examined by special prosecutor Jack Smith.

Criminal defense attorney John Lauro, who represents Bobb, confirmed to ABC News that Fulton County prosecutors called him last week and requested an interview with Bobb.

The prosecutors did not specify what information they were looking to glean from speaking with Bobb, Lauro said, adding that prosecutors “knew nothing about any role that Christina Bobb had, since she had nothing to do with Georgia.”

Bobb plans to deny the request from Fulton County prosecutors, Lauro said.

“They had a year and a half of investigating and never once reached out to Christina Bobb,” he said. “It was one of the more strange conversations I’ve had.”

A spokesperson for the district attorney’s office declined to comment to ABC News.

The new interest in speaking with Bobb comes a little more than two months after the special grand jury seated as part of the probe delivered its final report documenting its findings from its investigation, before the panel was dissolved. The grand jury sat for eight months and interviewed over 75 witnesses, according to limited portions of the report that were released by the judge overseeing the case.

In its report, the grand jury recommended to prosecutors that they seek indictments against witnesses who they believe may have lied during their testimony, according to excerpts of the grand jury’s report.

The foreperson of the special grand jury also said in an interview with The New York Times that the grand jury had recommended multiple indictments, but did not specify who was recommended for indictment or on what charges.

On Monday, Trump’s attorneys filed a sweeping motion asking a judge to quash the largely sealed grand jury report summarizing the findings of its investigation and prevent it from being used in the investigation moving forward.

The motion, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, also seeks to remove the district attorney’s office leading the investigation.

Among those who testified before the grand jury were some of the president’s closest allies, including his former chief of staff Mark Meadows and Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Though the special grand jury does not have the power to bring indictments, it has the power to make recommendations regarding potential charges. It would then be up to the district attorney to determine whether or not to pursue them. A second grand jury is needed to return a potential indictment.

Willis said in January that charging decisions in the case were “imminent.”

The next Duran Duran album will see the return of guitarist Andy Taylor. According to Guitar.com, while speaking at the Unforgettable Evening fundraiser for cancer research in Los Angeles, Duran Duran bassist John Taylor revealed that Andy is recording music for the band’s next release.

Discussing Andy’s revelation last year that he’s battling prostate cancer, John said, “When he dropped the bomb two days before the (Rock & Roll) Hall of Fame, it was really shocking and terribly sad. We’re working on an album right now that is going to be coming out at the end of the year and he’s playing guitar.”

John says the record is expected to contain “a lot of cover songs,” noting they are “songs meaningful to us when we were kids. So having him be a part of that project is great.”

While the album is being recorded in Los Angeles and London, John says frontman Simon LeBon is heading to Ibiza to record with Andy.

“I kind of wish I was there,” he said. “I think it’ll be great. It’ll be really profound for them. They haven’t been in the studio together in maybe 10 to 20 years.”

Britney Spears finally disclosed why she sold her Calabasas, California, mansion after owning it for less than a year.

Taking to Instagram to share an infographic saying it’s OK “to live in a simple home” and “live a simple life,” the pop star said she doesn’t get the desire to own a “lavish over the top home.”

“I’m honestly offended when I go to those big hotels or homes and the TVs come out from a picture above the fireplace,” she continued, calling that so-called luxury perk “the dumbest most unattractive thing I’ve ever seen.”

She continued, “I know the essence of living in one’s home is by giving it good intention and it will create the mood or ambiance … I’ve been into some of what is considered the best homes and they were not my cup of tea … not impressed one bit.”

She then touched upon the Calabasas mansion, which she bought in June. She reportedly lost roughly $2 million in the final sale earlier this year.

“My house is pretty big and the last home I bought was pretty. Most would say it was by far a more beautiful home … but I stayed for 5 or 6 months and came right back to my normal bedroom,” she wrote.

She added, “I like what I like and that’s okay … nobody can tell me what is the best for me … they can give me their advice if I request it … but l’m in love with the life I have built for myself !!!”

Britney and husband Sam Asghari moved back into her Thousand Oaks, California, home, which she bought in 2015.

Billie Eilish’s character on ’Swarm’ was inspired by notorious NXIVM cult

Billie Eilish made her acting debut in the Donald Glover series Swarm, and apparently her creepy character was inspired by the notorious sex cult NXIVM.

Swarm stars Dominique Fishback as a girl named Dre who develops a murderous obsession with her music icon, Ni’Jah, played by Nirine S. Brown. In the series’ fourth episode, Dre has a run-in with police and is seemingly saved by Billie’s charming character, Eva.

Eva is revealed to be the leader of a so-called female empowerment commune, where its members are branded and wear the same colors. As the episode progresses, the commune’s welcoming nature turns sinister.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with producer Janine Nabers about Billie’s buzzworthy performance. “When she pitched [Billie Eilish] for the role of Eva, we were like, ‘Oh, she’s really cool! Let’s go with it,'” she recalled. “She was great!”

Nabers said Billie’s character was inspired by NXIVM and its leader, Keith Raniere, which provided a “true-crime element to that episode.”

“When people think of the idea of artists or celebrities, there is this idea of thinking about the cult of Taylor Swift, or the cult of the Beatles or whatever,” she continued. “What we were really interested in was just seeing someone who worships at the altar of ‘something,’ and (exploring) this idea of what is the cult of the mind.”

Swarm is streaming now on Prime Video.

Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti collaboration may possibly be on the way.

On Sunday, Uzi shared a painting of man and two children along with the caption, “Me and my luv about 2 take over the world.” They tagged Carti in the Instagram Story.

Uzi’s tease comes nearly a year after Carti expressed his desire to work together on a project.

“I love Uzi to death,” he told XXL in April. “Uzi is working on mad music right now. I don’t know if [they’re] serious about a lot of things. But I hope one day we can change the world with that, for sure.”

Until then, fans can expect a new album from Uzi, titled Pink Tape, very soon.

“I’m putting the final touches on Pink Tape and I promise,” they told fans at Rolling Loud California. “I made a lot of promises in my life, but this time I promise.”

Virginia Tech basketball fans sing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” after arena banned from playing it

Metallica‘s “Enter Sandman” still rung out during Virginia Tech’s opening game during the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, despite a rule preventing it from being played.

As The Roanoke Times explains, even though Virginia Tech was hosting the game at its home Cassell Coliseum, the NCAA defines tournament matches as “neutral,” meaning the arena isn’t allowed its “team-preferred music.” That includes “Enter Sandman,” which Virginia Tech usually plays during home games right before tip-off.

However, that didn’t stop the fans in the stands from singing the metal classic. In footage shared by The Roanoke Times, you can hear the crowd belt out the opening verse of “Enter Sandman” as the game begins.

By the way, Virginia Tech won their first two tournament games and advanced to the Sweet 16.

“Enter Sandman” will also be sung in stadiums across the globe when Metallica launches their M72 world tour, which begins in Europe in April before kicking off in the U.S. in August. They’ll be supporting their new album, 72 Seasons, dropping April 14.

KISS’ Gene Simmons recently announced a chance for U.K. fans to record a song with him at Abbey Road Studios — for a price, of course. Well, now he’s offering U.S. fans a similar experience.

To coincide with KISS’ final shows ever at New York’s Madison Square Garden on December 1 and 2, Simmons is giving lucky fans a chance to join him at Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Lady Studios December 4, 5 and 6.

For a little less than $6,000, a fan and a guest will get to spend the day in the studio with Simmons and record a song with him, which they’ll be able to take home. They’ll also get to hear Gene share stories about his career, snag some items from his personal KISS collection and take a photo with him. Plus Simmons will sign two of the purchaser’s personal items.

Simmons notes that no musical experience is necessary to take part in this special package, but “if you play an instrument, we may use that in the recording.”

Keanu Reeves teases “really epic” ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’

Keanu Reeves teases “really epic” ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’
Good Morning America

With the John Wick franchise, Keanu Reeves is playing the role of a lifetime.

That’s saying something, considering Reeves is a veteran of action classics like Point Break, Speed and, of course, The Matrix.

“It’s a fun character to be able to have that, you know, that John Wick kinda thing,” Reeves told Good Morning America of the seemingly unstoppable titular assassin, in an interview that aired Monday. “But I don’t take that home with me.”

Preparation “starts with training before the training,” as Reeves calls getting his “John Wick toolbox” together. On display in the films is a mix of judo, jiujitsu and weapons manipulation — gun fu, as it has come to be known.

Asked if he’s aging out of doing these over-the-top stunts at 58, Reeves assures fans “I’m not quite there yet,” but admits the fourth John Wick movie “got me closer.”

“I’m definitely feelin’ the age,” he said, also noting that he’s more experienced and therefore more efficient in tackling the action than he was when starting out.

Reeves said it’s cool and kind for people to be referring to John Wick: Chapter 4 as one of the greatest action movies of all time.

“I mean, I think the film is really epic, and I love playing the role,” he said. “I love the John Wick world.”

Reeves spoke to GMA before last Friday’s death of Wick co-star Lance Reddick. But in a statement after the actor’s unexpected death from natural causes at 60, Reeves shared a statement with the film’s director, Chad Stahelski, to ABC News. The pair said they were “deeply saddened and heartbroken” by the loss of the “consummate professional,” who was “a joy to work with.”

Now dedicated to Reddick, the movie opens March 24.

Selena Gomez is the third most-followed person on Instagram and over the weekend became the first woman on the platform to amass over 400 million followers.

The singer celebrated the massive milestone on Sunday and shared a slew of throwback photos dedicated to her most loyal fans. “Wishing I could hug all 400 million of you,” she captioned the sweet collage, which features fans supporting her at various concerts and giving her hugs backstage throughout the years.

Selena’s famous friends also joined in the celebration, such as tennis pro Serena Williams writing in a comment, “Love you!!!!!”

Paris HiltonQueer Eye‘s Jonathan Van Ness, fellow Disney Channel alum Christy Carlson Romano and many others also shared congratulatory remarks.

Only two other individuals have amassed over 400 million followers — soccer stars Cristiano Ronaldo with 562 million and Lionel Messi with 442 million.

Fans certainly have theories about why Selena is enjoying a massive spike in followers in recent months, with most singling out the recent drama with Hailey Bieber. Since the controversy blossomed in January, Selena has gained over 20 million new Instagram followers.

Sir Rod Stewart was forced to press pause on the Australian leg of his tour due to an unexpected illness.

He took to Instagram Saturday to share a statement that his scheduled performance at Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong would not proceed as planned. The show was part of the venue’s A Day on the Green festival, where the singer was set to perform alongside Cyndi Lauper and Jon Stevens.

They, along with Stewart, shared the joint announcement from Live Nation, saying the show “will not go ahead, due to illness.”

The announcement, which was captioned with a broken heart emoji, also promised that fans would hear “a further announcement regarding the concert arrangements … early next week.”

Stewart explained why he had to pull out of the festival in a follow-up post. “I am absolutely downhearted that I’m disappointing my fans,” the statement began. It continued, “Late this morning I was advised that I have a viral infection and my throat is too irritated to sing.”

“I’m only human and sometimes get sick just like you do. My greatest joy is performing for you, so I’m doing everything I can to get on the mend and back on stage,” the statement closed.

So far no announcement has been made regarding his scheduled Tuesday show at AEC Arena in Adelaide.
