Remember Oldchella? Well, now we might be getting Metalchella.
On Tuesday afternoon, Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica and Iron Maiden all shared videos teasing something called Power Trip. The clip leads to the website PowerTrip.live, which promises an announcement coming Thursday, March 30.
Notably, the Power Trip website is operated by Goldenvoice, the company that produces Coachella and the aforementioned Oldchella, the snarky nickname bestowed upon 2016’s Desert Trip festival, which featured rock legends including The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young and The Who.
If Power Trip is indeed a new festival, Ozzy’s potential inclusion is especially notable given that the Prince of Darkness announced earlier this year that he was retiring from touring due to health issues.
The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford is launching a new solo project dubbed Jesse®.
“It’s been a minute since I’ve shared anything,” Rutherford says of the endeavor. “It feels like I moved away from home & got a new phone number. This is my message letting you know I’m back in town & trying to get together.”
You can listen to two new Jesse® songs, “Rainbow” and “Joker,” now via digital outlets. A third, titled “Me & Universe,” arrives April 28, and an album is due out later this year.
Rutherford will make his live debut as Jesse® over two shows in Los Angeles taking place April 4 and 5.
The Neighbourhood’s most recent album is 2020’s Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones.

World Down Syndrome Day was on March 21, but a little Avenger’s photo made it all the way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and back on Tuesday.
Both Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, and Captain America, Chris Evans, responded to a photo of a little boy with Down Syndrome, dressed as Evans’ spangly hero, wielding Thor’s hammer, as Cap did at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
Adam Morris had tweeted the picture last Tuesday, @ing the Marvel movie stars, along with the hashtag #worthy — as only those who are worthy can hold the mighty Mjölnir.
“Definitely worthy, right @ChrisEvans?” Hemsworth replied — getting 1.7 million likes in a matter of hours. Evans responded Tuesday afternoon, “100%. Making it look easy,” adding a heart emoji.
According to U.N. estimates, each year approximately 3,000 to 5,000 children are born with the chromosome disorder. The United Nations General Assembly declared March 21 World Down Syndrome Day in 2011.
CMT has added more female artists to its 2023 CMT Music Awards lineup. They include Gwen Stefani, Shania Twain and Alanis Morissette.
Gwen will join two-time nominee Carly Pearce for their debut collaboration and performance onstage.
Shania will be awarded the third CMT Equal Play Award. The award spotlights an artist who’s been an advocate for diverse and underrepresented voices in country music. Past recipients include Jennifer Nettles and Linda Martell.
Additionally, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CMT Next Women of Country, the seven-time Grammy-winning Alanis will appear on the CMT Music Awards alongside NWOC alums Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Madeline Edwards, Morgan Wade and guitarist Jackie Venson for a debut performance of their new anthem, “You Oughta Know.”
Previously announced performers for the show include Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Carly, Cody Johnson, Keith Urban, Lainey, Darius Rucker, The Black Crowes, Wynonna Judd, Ashley McBryde, Tyler Hubbard, Jelly Roll, co-hosts Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, and Kane’s wife and “Thank God” duet partner, Katelyn Brown.
Rising newcomers Avery Anna, Chapel Hart, Jackson Dean, Lily Rose, Megan Moroney and Nate Smith will also be performing on the Ram Trucks Side Stage.
The 2023 CMT Music Awards air live on CBS April 2 at 8 p.m. ET. Livestreaming and on-demand streaming options will also be available via Paramount+.
Old Dominion is postponing their upcoming No Bad Vibes tour stops in Key West this weekend after frontman Matthew Ramsey fractured his pelvis in an ATV accident.
“Well friends – I’m afraid I have some disappointing news. I was in an ATV accident that has left my pelvis fractured in three places. The good news is it’s gonna heal just fine. The bad news is I’m gonna have to stay home and recover for a little while,” Matthew wrote on Instagram.
“I know we all had plans to sing and dance together in Key West,” the 45-year-old added. “I was looking forward to that so much! We will make it up to you! I promise we’ll keep up updated on my recovery and any other shows that might be affected. This tour has been such a blast so far this year and before you know it, I’ll be back out there with No Bad Vibes! Love you all. – m”
In the post’s caption, the band shared that “this weekend’s shows in Key West, FL have been rescheduled for March 22, 23, and 24 of 2024.”

Kendrick Lamar, Khalid, Blxst, Baby Tate and more have been recruited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Life is Beautiful festival. The artists will take the stage at this year’s event, with Kendrick taking on headlining duties.
K. Dot will end the show the second night, following performances from Chika, Ferg, Yung Gravy and more. The first night will see the likes of Blxst and Bebe Rexha. Khalid, Nelly and Baby Tate will bless the stage on night three.

Ed Sheeran releases –, pronounced Subtract, in May — but he isn’t sure what the future holds for his music career.
Speaking withRolling Stone, the hitmaker explained he’ll satisfy his current record contract with Warner Music once he drops Subtract on May 5. After that, Ed’s not sure how he’ll release new music.
“It depends,” he said. “I’m sort of in flux at the moment because this is my last album with Warner. So I don’t know what I’m doing next.”
He continued, “In all honesty, like, yeah, I might put out a record independently. That might be quite fun. Just to try.”
The singer also opened up about how becoming a parent will ultimately change his touring schedule. He is the dad of 2-year-old Lyra and 8-month-old Jupiter.
“I don’t want to homeschool my kids,” he said about taking them on tour. Because of that, he plans on pressing on the brakes once his girls are old enough to go to school.
He added, “I love the way that country artists do it. They do the weekend-warrior thing, where they’ll just go out and play weekends. That’s obviously not possible in America because I live so far away from America. But it’s certainly possible in Europe, to just go out and play Frankfurt on a Saturday night, come back.”
Ed also revealed he’s been working on an animated musical for Netflix and “wrote loads of songs” for it. He expects those songs to make it onto an album, eventually.
The singer also said “Shape of You” might have sounded very different because he originally wanted Jay-Z to rap on it, but the mogul gave him “a very natural, respectful pass.”
Mariah Carey and Megan Thee Stallion will be celebrating Pride Month as headliners of the LA Pride in the Park festival, which has expanded to two days “following last year’s overwhelming success and demand.”
The event will kick off June 9 with a headlining set by Mariah, while Meg will close the show the following day.

(WASHINGTON) — The top federal judge for the D.C. district court has issued a swift rejection of former President Donald Trump’s assertion of executive privilege to prevent former Vice President Mike Pence from testifying before a grand jury investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 election, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
At the same time, the judge issued a ruling that narrowly upheld parts of a separate legal challenge brought by Pence’s attorneys, who have argued Pence should be exempt from providing records or answering certain questions that align with his duties as president of the Senate overseeing the formal certification of the election on Jan. 6, 2021.
According to sources, D.C. Chief Judge James Boasberg ordered that Pence should have to provide answers to special counsel Jack Smith on any questions that implicate any illegal acts on Trump’s part.
Pence’s team had argued that such communications could run afoul of the Speech and Debate Clause that shields officials in Congress from legal proceedings specifically related to their work.
The special counsel’s office declined to comment to ABC News. Spokespeople for Pence and Trump did not immediately respond.
Boasberg’s rulings came just four days after his and Pence’s lawyers appeared at the district court to argue their challenge to the subpoena from the special counsel.
It was not immediately clear whether Trump or Pence’s legal teams are planning to appeal the rulings.
Pence has previously vowed to fight the subpoena to the Supreme Court if necessary, most recently telling ABC’s Chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl, “We’re going to respect the decisions of the court, and that may take us to the highest court in the land.”
The February subpoena to Pence demanded he provide documents and testimony related to the failed attempt by Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election and followed months of negotiations between federal prosecutors and Pence’s legal team.
Boasberg’s orders followed upon another recent ruling by his predecessor in the role as D.C.’s chief judge, Judge Beryl Howell, who similarly rejected Trump’s claims of executive privilege over the testimony of multiple other top aides, including his former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.
In a letter reviewed by ABC News, White House special counsel Richard Sauber informed Jack Smith that President Joe Biden would not be asserting executive privilege over Pence’s testimony.
“These events — which reflected the most serious attack on the operations of the Federal Government since the Civil War — threatened not only the safety of Congress and others present at the Capitol, but also the principles of democracy enshrined in our history and our Constitution,” Sauber wrote to Smith in February, after Smith had reached out the White House to determine whether the president planned to assert privilege over Pence’s grand jury appearance.
“In light of these unique circumstances, President Biden has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the public interest with respect to the efforts to thwart the orderly transition of power under our Constitution.”
