Geezer Butler has debuted the cover of his much-anticipated memoir, Into The Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath—And Beyond, which is being released June 6.

“After spending my entire life creating memories, to eventually set aside how reserved I am, I have put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard),” the Black Sabbath bassist shared on Instagram next to the cover image. 

He also joked about the release date being 6/6/23, noting, “Yes I know that 2×3=6. Although unintentional, having that as a release date suits me fine.” 

When the book was first announced, the publisher described it as “a rollicking, effusive, and candid memoir by the heavy metal musician and founding member of Black Sabbath,” sharing that it details “how one of rock’s most influential bands formed and prevailed. Like Geezer’s bass lines, it is both original, dramatic, and forever surprising.”

Megan Thee Stallion may have secured an acting role alongside veteran actor and comedian Adam Sandler. Deadline reports the rapper is in talks to star alongside Sandler in a movie by brothers Josh and Benny Safdie.

The plot and title of the film, set in the world of sports memorabilia, have not yet been disclosed. Production will begin this summer.

Megan made her acting debut last year in the Starz drama P-Valley. She also appeared in She Hulk: Attorney at Law and Good Girls. She’ll make her big-screen debut in the A24 film F****** Identical Twins, but her dream is to play Isis, the head cheerleader from Bring It On.

“I always have wanted to be Isis. I would be perfect for that. If they were ever to make a new Bring It On, I should be that character,” Megan told The Cut.

She said the likes of Ice Cube and Queen Latifah have pushed her to look beyond music.

“When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music,” Meg says. “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.”

Charlie Puth‘s new song “That’s Not How This Works” will be out on Friday, but in the meantime you can watch a six-minute short film of the same name on Charlie’s YouTube channel.

The film shows Charlie obsessively rewinding and listening to cassette tapes, which are labeled with various moments in his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, played by Sabrina Carpenter. That’s intercut with footage of Charlie and Sabrina in happier times, kissing, cooking, playing games, painting a room, celebrating birthdays and other couple-ish activities.

While everything seems pretty great, the relationship soon falls apart, with Charlie accusing Sabrina of flirting with someone else; the two are seen screaming and hurling f-bombs at each other.

The “actual” music video for the track will be out on Friday, as well. The song itself features country-pop duo Dan + Shay.

On TikTok, Charlie wrote, “To date, I’ve made 34 music videos, and they rarely feel like they say the whole truth about a song. There’s always more to say, and it’s usually just outside the music. It’s more in the moments, and that’s how my brain has always processed things.”

However, he added, “Finally, I was able to make something to recreate truly what this song means to me. I cannot wait for you to hear it. But first, you have to watch the movie.”

Brothers Osborne‘s Nobody’s Nobody Sampler won’t be out until April 7, but you can hear snippets of all three tracks in an Instagram video now.

The clip, which features footage of John and T.J. Osborne in the recording studio, offers fans previews of the uptempo “Nobody’s Nobody,” piano-driven “Rollercoaster (Forever and a Day)” and rowdy “Might As Well Be Me.”

This release will be Brothers Osborne’s first set of new music since 2020’s Skeletons, which received the deluxe treatment in 2022.

A collection of Jerry Garcia’s artwork has been donated to a new fundraiser for the History of Diving Museum in Florida.

The Jerry Garcia Foundation has donated a 21-piece collection of museum-quality prints to the museum for its Dive Into Art & Music fundraiser, which takes place Friday. The donation was made to commemorate the Grateful Dead frontman’s love of scuba diving, as well as his commitment to protecting the ocean. 

The collection is made up of mostly sea-themed art and will also feature travel photos of Garcia family vacations in Hawaii.

“While Jerry Garcia is recognized as one of the greatest guitarists and musicians, he is in reality so much more,” Garcia archivist Peter Agelasto, who’s appearing at the event, shares. “By bringing together his love and respect for the ocean with his visual art, we’re showcasing another side of Jerry that fans will find fascinating.”

The exhibition, which will also feature a concert by the Grateful Dead tribute band Rainbow Full of Sound, takes place at Safe Harbor Angler House in Islamorada, Florida.

Each Garcia print comes with a certificate of authenticity, and proceeds from the sales will support educational outreach programs and more at the diving museum. More information can be found at divingmuseum.org.

Chlöe is single and ready to mingle, but as someone who didn’t attend a brick-and-mortar high school, her relationships have inspired the lyrics to her songs.

“It has been helping the music, because I never went to high school. I was homeschooled for high school,” she says on the premiere episode of Latto‘s 777 radio show. “So, it’s like all the experiences, falling in love, falling out of love, breaking up, making up, all of that, I’m going through it now.”

“So it’s really been motivating the lyrics,” she continued. “And when I’m angry, instead of crying or wanting to throw things, I just sit there and I write, and then I’m like, ‘OK, s***.'”

Fans have already gotten a taste of Chlöe’s music, but will hear an album’s worth of tracks Friday when In Pieces comes out. The project will mark her first solo effort, as previous projects were released under Chloe x Halle, with singer and sister Halle Bailey. As the two launched their careers together, comparisons are something they often face, which Chlöe says “really pisses me off.”

“I think out of everything, that’s the thing that gets under my skin the most when people are comparing us because we are best friends, we’re sisters,” she says. “Sometimes we forget that we’re not twins and it’s like, don’t mess with my blood. Don’t mess with her. Sometimes I just have to brush it off because people only see what they want to make up, what they want to believe. And it’s like, we shouldn’t have to.”

Chlöe said she’s also confused by comments about her transition into womanhood. When it comes to negative social media comments, she generally deals with it, but says there are days when it affects her more than others.

“Been a while had to come remind y’all who the GOAT is,” raps G-Eazy on his new track “Tulips & Roses.” The rapper, who took a self-imposed yearlong hiatus, is back with the first release of his new era.

After losing his mom, G-Eazy, born Gerald Gillum, spent time in a rental apartment in Paris, where he penned the new song, described as “an honest and self-reflective account of his life and career.”

“A certified legend/ If I quit at this moment/ Should already know this/ I’m really one of the coldest,” he raps. “So I need all my respect/ I need my tulips n’ roses/ I made my record label fortunes and I met all my quotas.”

The black-and-white cinematic video was filmed in Paris, and shows Gerald leaving a beautiful woman in bed in a hotel room and rapping in front of City of Light landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. 

Meanwhile, the woman slips the hotel room key to some shady characters, who ransack the hotel room while the woman and Gerald are out at a cabaret club. The clip ends with the robbers running out of the hotel room at the last minute; it’s meant to be a cliffhanger.

No word yet on whether or not a new album is on the way from the “Me, Myself & I” rapper.

It’s only been two years since Ice Spice first released music, but her career’s taking off. She now represents one of the few mainstream women on the drill scene, to which she says she’s bringing a unique sound.

“I feel like I’m bringing a new sound to people that they haven’t really heard before, being one of the few girls to bring drill to a mainstream level,” Spice tells Harpers Bazaar. “It’s refreshing and fun—I’m really enjoying it.”

So far, Ice has dropped viral hits “Munch (Feelin’ U),” “Bikini Bottom,” “Gangsta Boo” ft. Lil Tjay and “In Ha Mood,” all of which appear on Like..? She’s “definitely cooking up right now” when it comes to a full-length, but is happy to see the reaction to her EP.

“The response to my EP has been like a big warm hug from everybody that’s consuming the project,” she says. “I’m so proud of it and how fun it was to make, and I can tell that right now, this is an era I’m always going to cherish.”

For now, Ice will continue to write lyrics of her own, with producer RIOTUSA by her side.

“I’m open to working with writers at some point when the time is right, but right now, I’m sticking to what got me here in the first place,” she says. “That’s me being creative in the studio with Riot. We just cook up bops, we make vibes; I try not to think too hard and just really have fun.”
