The late Scott Weiland‘s 1998 debut solo album, 12 Bar Blues, is being reissued in honor of its 25th anniversary.
The release will be available on vinyl with three bonus tracks on Record Store Day, April 22, followed by a digital deluxe edition dropping May 12 with an additional five previously unreleased recordings.
Weiland first released 12 Bar Blues on March 31, 1998 — 25 years ago today. The Stone Temple Pilots frontman put out another solo album, “Happy” inGaloshes, in 2008, followed by the 2011 holiday compilation The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and the 2015 record Blaster with his backing band The Wildabouts.
The 25th anniversary 12 Bar Blues release follows last year’s reissue of The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, which similarly featured unreleased material and was described as the “first posthumous music to be released from the Weiland vault.”
Flo Rida is thanking everyone who contacted him after news broke that his 6-year-old son, Zohar, had been seriously injured in a fall from a fifth-floor window.
As previously reported, the boy fell out of the window of the New Jersey apartment where he lives with his mom, Alexis Adams. Adams has since filed a lawsuit accusing the management of the apartment complex, as well as the building maintenance company and the window installer, of negligence. As USA Today reports, the suit alleges they put in the wrong size windows.
Zohar suffered multiple pelvic fractures, liver laceration, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs, according to Adams’ complaint.
In his Instagram Story, Flo, born Tramar Dillard, wrote, “Thank you to everyone who reached out with their concerns and prayers for my son.”
He noted that Zohar is “getting the best medical care and miraculously survived a tragic fall” and asked for “your continued prayers as he undergoes rehabilitation.”
“But,” he added, “I would appreciate that this remain a private matter.”

A Tribute to Jeff Beck by Eric Clapton & Friends is set to go down May 22 and 23 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and now the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood and Aerosmith’s Joe Perryhave been added the lineup.
The two guitar greats join an already impressive group of guests, including Rod Stewart, ZZ Top’s Billy F. Gibbons, Johnny Depp, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Joss Stone, Doyle Bramhall, Imelda May, John McLaughlin and Olivia Safe, along with Jeff Beck Band members Rhonda Smith, Anika Nilles and Robert Stevenson.
The concerts are already sold out, and any surplus proceeds from the shows will benefit the Folly Wildlife Rescue based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, which is “dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned and distressed wild animals and birds” in their area.
(NEW YORK) — Millions in the Heartland are at risk from potentially violent, long-track tornadoes Friday as a major storm moves into the region.
Areas at risk of strong tornadoes include St. Louis; Davenport, Iowa; Peoria, Illinois; Paducah, Kentucky; Memphis, Tennessee; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Tupelo, Mississippi.
Strong storms will begin to fire up around 3 p.m. in Iowa, Illinois and Arkansas. Then, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., strong, long-track tornadoes could develop from Iowa to Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.
Among those at risk for tornadoes is an area that was hit by deadly storms last weekend. President Joe Biden is visiting one of those locations — Rolling Fork, Mississippi — on Friday.
Nearly two dozen people were killed in the storms.
In addition to tornadoes, damaging winds and huge hail are possible with these storms.
The expanse of this severe weather stretches from Lufkin, Texas, to Milwaukee and as far east as Nashville, Tennessee, and Cincinnati. Fifty-one million people are on alert for this severe weather outbreak.
The storm system moves into the Northeast on Saturday with some severe weather possible for Pennsylvania and upstate New York and even northern New Jersey. Damaging winds will be the biggest threat for the Northeast.
There is a wintry part to this storm, with blizzard warnings issued for South Dakota and Minnesota, where more than half a foot of snow and 45 mph wind gusts are possible. Whiteout conditions are expected. A winter storm warning stretches from Nebraska to Minneapolis and into Wisconsin and Michigan, where more than a foot of snow is possible.
(NEW YORK) — In addition to former President Donald Trump’s alleged role in the $130,000 hush payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is also investigating a $150,000 payment to Playboy model Karen McDougal, who, like Daniels, claimed to have had an affair with Trump.
The former president, who was indicted Thursday in New York on charges which remain sealed, has denied having an affair with either woman and has called the entire investigation a witch hunt.
A spokeswoman for the Manhattan District Attorney’s office declined to comment.
McDougal was paid for the rights to her story in August 2016 by American Media, publisher of the National Enquirer, which did not publish it, a practice known as catch and kill.
Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer and fixer, has said he recorded Trump discussing reimbursement to American Media for the payment to McDougal, but the payment was never made.
Trump has not responded to ABC News’ request for comment but in a 2018 interview with Fox News, he claimed he wasn’t aware of any payment made to A.M.I. to facilitate the alleged hush agreement.
That the Manhattan investigation allegedly includes the McDougal payment, a detail first reported by the Wall Street Journal, raises the possibility Trump could face criminal charges over alleged attempts to keep both women from going public with their stories before the 2016 presidential election. Or, prosecutors could use the second case to suggest a pattern of conduct.
Both Daniels and McDougal alleged affairs with Trump happened years before he ran for president — McDougal in 2006 and Daniels in 2010 — but were both paid in the closing moments of the 2016 campaign.
A grand jury has been hearing evidence in the Trump matter since January and voted to indict him Thursday. The exact charges and details of the case are unclear as the indictment remains under seal.
(PRETORIA, South Africa) — Former South African Olympic and Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius had his parole denied following a board hearing Friday.
The hearing took place in Atteridgeville Correctional Centre on the outskirts of Pretoria, South Africa, where Pistorius has been incarcerated since 2016. Pistorius was convicted of murder in the shooting death of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.
If granted by the parole board, Pistorius could have been freed from prison in a matter of weeks. He will now have to wait to apply again in August 2024.
“While we welcome today’s decision, today is not a cause for celebration,” the Steenkamp family said in a statement. “We miss Reeva terribly and will do so for the rest of our lives. We believe in justice and hope that it continues to prevail.”
The parole board, composed of correctional service officers and community members, considered whether Pistorius, 36, should be released and allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence on license in Pretoria after serving half of his 13-year sentence.
The closed-door parole board considered his offense, his conduct and disciplinary record while in prison, his mental and physical state, and other criteria, such as his participation in educational courses and whether he will pose a threat to public safety.
Reeva Steenkamp’s mother, June Steenkamp, told the media assembled outside the hearing that said it would be “very hard” to be in the same room as Pistorius.
The Steenkamp family’s lawyer, Tina Koen, told reporters prior to the hearing that being at the parole board decision was “very unpleasant” for June Steenkamp, “but she knows that she had to do it for Reeva and she did it and I am very proud of her and she is very relieved that it’s over.”
Koen added, “As I’ve said before, she doesn’t feel that he’s rehabilitated and hasn’t told the truth, and for that, both her and Barry [Steenkamp, Reeva’s father] submit that he must not be released on parole.”
In a globally televised trial, Pistorius was convicted in 2015 and eventually sentenced to 13 years and five months in prison for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day 2013 at their Pretoria East home.
He has thus far served almost eight years of his sentence, which makes him eligible to apply for parole under South African law, as he has served half of his sentence.
Pistorius, who was born with a congenital defect that led to the amputation of both legs below the knee, ran with prosthetics in the 2012 Summer Olympics. He finished second in his heat of the 400 meters, but did not advance out of the semifinal. He also ran in the 4-by-400 meter relay, where the South African team finished eighth.

System of a Down‘s Serj Tankian and Bad Wolves vocalist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz guest on a new version of The Hu‘s song “Black Thunder.”
“I had discovered The Hu’s music from a YouTube video that a friend sent me and was instantly struck by their powerful and delightful merging of Mongolian folk and metal,” says Tankian in a statement.
“When they reached out to collaborate, I was intrigued,” he continues. “I appreciate the pride with which they represent their culture through music.”
The updated “Black Thunder” is available now via digital outlets and is accompanied by a video streaming on YouTube. It’ll also appear on the upcoming deluxe edition of The Hu’s 2022 album Rumble of Thunder, due out June 30.
The deluxe Rumble of Thunder also includes the previously released “This Is Mongol (Warrior Souls),” which features William DuVall of Alice in Chains.
The CMT Music Awards have added an other special tribute to Sunday night’s broadcast.
The network just announced that Gary Clark Jr. has been added to the show for a special tribute to the late guitar great Stevie Ray Vaughan. In addition, another guitar legend, Peter Frampton, has been added to the show as a presenter.
As previously reported, in addition to the Vaughan tribute, the show will feature a special tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, featuring Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, ZZTop’s Billy F. Gibbons, Gov’t Mule’s Warren Haynes, BadCompany’s Paul Rodgers and more. The Black Crowes are also scheduled to team up with Darius Rucker for a performance of their Shake Your Money Maker classic “She Talks to Angels.”

Bruce Springsteen released two albums, Human Touch and Lucky Town, both made following the breakup of the E Street Band.
Human Touch was the first album The Boss recorded, with E Streeter Roy Bittan and several studio musicians including Randy Jackson on bass guitar and Toto’s Jeff Porcaro on drums. It was supposed to be released in 1991 but he held it back and began working on Lucky Town, and then decided to release them both on the same day.
Human Touch was the more popular of the two albums, peaking at two on the Billboard album chart, while Lucky Town peaked at three. The title track of Human Touch, which was paired with the Lucky Town song “Better Days,” reached number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.
Both Human Touch and Lucky Town went on to be certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Springsteen’s breakup with the E Street Band was only temporary. He reunited the band in 1997 to record some songs for a Greatest Hits album, and then in 1999 they got back together again for an extensive Reunion Tour, and have recorded several albums together since then. Earlier this year they kicked off another tour together, which hits New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
