(SAN FRANCISCO) — When the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots suit up on Sunday, they will have some of the best players in the world keeping them safe — the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives (ATF) bomb-sniffing dogs.

There will be two K9s, Carolina and Belle, that will be patrolling the Super Bowl, which are both black Labrador retrievers. Additionally, there are more than five other bomb-sniffing dogs that are in the Bay Area to keep the game safe.

Dogs like Carolina and Belle go through an intensive 24-week training to include obedience, training, bomb detection training, and “advanced training” with their handlers so they can respond to “complex” situations. They are two of 16 dog teams in the Bay Area.

“Our canines are vital to keeping security for Super Bowl and the corresponding events,” Alex Buenaventura, ATF deputy special agent in charge of the San Francisco field division, told ABC News. “They’re able to detect explosives, and through their rigorous training, they’re very reliable in finding and locating explosives, firearms and ammunition.”

Belle is based in San Francisco, while Carolina is based in Las Vegas.

ATF is on site along with other federal law enforcement agencies in the Bay Area to help secure the game, and other Super Bowl-related events and will do over 200 searches both in Santa Clara and downtown San Francisco.

The agency is not only providing highly trained dogs but also field intelligence and fire response, according to Buenaventura.

“The response required for events such as the Super Bowl is complex and requires partnerships with our law enforcement agencies on the local, state and federal level, and ATF is proud to respond and provide our expertise,” she said.

ATF and other federal law enforcement agencies have been preparing for over a year to work together to secure the game.

“ATF will continue to respond to national special security events and do our part,” she said. “We’re happy to be here.”

(WASHINGTON) — Sen. Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized for evaluation after experiencing flu-like symptoms, his spokesperson said.

“In an abundance of caution, after experiencing flu-like symptoms over the weekend, Senator McConnell checked himself into a local hospital for evaluation last night,” McConnell spokesman David Popp said in a statement. “His prognosis is positive and he is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving. He is in regular contact with his staff and looks forward to returning to Senate business.”

McConnell, 84, who announced last February he would end his long tenure in the Senate at the end of the current term, was hospitalized in March 2023 for five days after suffering a concussion and a broken rib after a fall at a Washington, D.C., hotel.

He suffered a “minor cut” to the face and a “sprained wrist” after another fall during a Senate Republican lunch in December 2024.

McConnell served as the Senate Republican leader for a record-shattering 18 years — the longest- serving party leader of either party. He stepped down from the role in 2024 and was succeeded in by current Majority Leader John Thune.

Tucker Wetmore (Disney/Frank Micelotta)

Tucker Wetmore‘s third country radio hit is currently making its way up the chart, propelled in part by an elaborate music video — one that came straight out of Tucker’s imagination.

“Me and my content guy, his name is Chase Foster, we were just sitting down,” he tells ABC Audio. “I was like, ‘Dude, I really want to do a music video for “Brunette,”‘ and I gave him a whole rundown. I was like, ‘I want it to be like an old Western-type feel. I want there to be some cameos that people see some familiar faces in it and kinda make it a whole event.'”

“One contingency I said was I want everybody in the video to be blond, whether it’s a wig or a natural blond or whatever, besides me and the main girl character,’ which was Hannah [Godwin] from The Bachelor,” he adds. “You know, it turned out great. There’s some quirky stuff in it and fun stuff, but it turned really good.”

On Sunday, Tucker plays Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate in San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl.

You’ll go ‘Crazy’ over Seal’s new concert film

‘Purpose: Celebrating 30 Years of the Classic Albums “Seal I” and “Seal II”‘ (Mercury Studios)

It may not be “chef’s kiss,” but Seal‘s new concert film is definitely a “Kiss From a Rose.”

The film, titled Purpose: Celebrating 30 Years of the Classic Albums Seal I and Seal II, was shot live at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas in 2024. It documents the tour Seal undertook that year to mark the anniversaries of his biggest records. The release will be available as a Blu-ray and CD combo, digital audio and video, and a 4K UHD+Blu-ray combo pack.

“Where this tour is concerned, the one thing I didn’t see coming is rediscovering my purpose,” Seal says in a statement.

In addition to performances of songs like “Crazy,” “Prayer for the Dying,” “Love’s Divine” and, of course, “Kiss From a Rose,” the film includes interviews with Seal and his producer Trevor Horn, who also served as the concert’s bass player and musical director.

“He is this mentor that I’ve spent the last 34 years looking up to. He knows me as an artist better than anyone else,” Seal says of Horn. “Having him on tour caused me to bring a level of professionalism and discipline that I hadn’t had before.”

The film is due out Feb. 13 and is available for preorder now. While you wait, you can watch Seal’s performance of “Crazy” from the show, which is currently streaming on YouTube.

Little Feat has added a new set of spring and summer dates to their final tour, dubbed The Last Farewell Tour.

The new shows kick off May 26 in Ocean City, Maryland, with stops in Connecticut, New York, Las Vegas, California and more, before wrapping Aug. 22 in Denver, Colorado.

Tickets for the new shows go on sale Friday.

Little Feat announced in November that they would be embarking on their final tour in 2026 before retiring from the road. The name of the tour is a callback to their 1975 release, The Last Record Album.

“My hope is ‘The Last Farewell Tour’ resembles a long passionate kiss, a prolonged warm hug, giving us all time to embrace this special moment to remember our collective past with those here and others departed but still in our hearts,” keyboardist and founding member Bill Payne writes on Instagram. “This is a celebration that acknowledges gratitude to all for an unforgettable journey, mingled with joy, sadness, but no regrets.”

He adds, “Let’s allow some time for all of this to play out. We still have a lot to say and share. All endings suggest new beginnings.”

Little Feat will launch the first leg of The Last Farewell Tour on April 10 in Orlando, Florida. A complete list of dates can be found at LittleFeat.net.

Kelly Rowland, Method Man go from exes to competitors in ‘Relationship Goals’

Kelly Rowland is back with a starring role in Prime Video’s new romantic comedy Relationship Goals. She plays Leah Caldwell, a TV producer on the verge of making history as the first female showrunner of a top New York morning show. Kelly tells ABC Audio it was important for her to portray a career-driven woman because representation matters and can give people hope.

Kelly says there are many women in her own life who are trying to figure out the balance between their careers and love. “I think that for some, it’s like, well I have to do this first and … that first before I can fall in love, before I can have the relationship.”

Kelly says the fact that her character reflects “so many women … where they wanna be, where they are” is powerful. “To see it portrayed on screen is a beautiful thing,” she says, “because then [they] know it’s attainable.”

In the film, just as Leah is on the brink of breaking barriers at work, she learns she’s up against Jarrett Roy — played by Method Man — an ex who she’s now forced to work with. As the two butt heads and work through the tension, Method Man hopes people root for what rom-com fans love most: a beautiful love story.

“I just hope this film leaves people rooting for this relationship between Jared and Leah,” he says, noting that was his reaction to the film.

“[I was] rooting for these guys to the point where if one of them gets angry at the other, I’m going to feel uncomfortable and I’m not even in the relationship,” he jokes. “I want people to root for this couple like that, like they want to see them make it to the point where it reflects on their relationship and they … go out there and make something work for them.”

Fresh off his Grammy performance, Alex Warren is releasing new music. In an Instagram video with the text “Alex Warren will never write something as good as Ordinary,” Alex and his wife Kouvr jam out to an upbeat new love song called “Fever Dream,” which is “coming soon,” according to the video.

During the The MLK, Jr. Beloved Community Awards, you’ll see Billie Eilish receive the Environmental Justice Award. The award ceremony was taped in January; at that time, Billie said in her acceptance speech that it was “hard to celebrate” given that environmental justice feels “less achievable than ever given the state of our country and the world right now.” The show airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on BET.

“Golden” is going global. Deadline reports that the voices of KPop Demon HuntersHUNTR/X — EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami — will give their first live performance outside of the U.S. when they perform at the BAFTA Film Awards in London Feb. 22. The movie itself was ruled ineligible for a BAFTA nomination because it didn’t screen in U.K. theaters. The movie and the song are both nominated for Oscars, though.

New Grammy winner Lola Young will perform during Rolling Stone’s Future of Music showcase at this year’s South by Southwest® festival. The three-night concert series is set to run from March 12 through March 14, with Lola headlining on March 12. The other big name on the lineup is BigXthaPlug, who’ll headline March 14.

Addison Rae has a cameo in an Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial: She’s shown sipping a Diet Pepsi — of course — while Matthew McConaughey tries to convince Bradley Cooper that football is actually a clever marketing scheme to sell food and beverages.
