Katy Perry’s got a new penthouse.
According to Dirt, the singer recently purchased an $11 million penthouse condo in Los Angeles’ Sierra Towers skyscraper. The property was previously owned by the daughter of billionaire Garmin founder Min Kao.
The two-bedroom, three-bathroom condo has amenities that include a movie room and a yoga wall.

Over the weekend, one of Eddie Van Halen‘s Charvel Art Series guitars was auctioned off for $114,000. If you missed out on that, you can pick up seven of his Charvel Art Series guitars for just $525,000.
Six of the seven guitars were played by the late Van Halen guitar virtuoso onstage over three tours — in 2004, 2007 and 2012 — and are signed by him, as well. The seventh is a custom-built replica of Eddie’s legendary “Frankenstrat” guitar, nicknamed “Frank 2.” It was owned by Eddie, though he didn’t play it onstage.
All seven guitars are being sold as part of one lot at an auction run by Analogr.com, and they all come with certificates of authenticity. At press time, the guitars had not yet reached the reserve price of $525,000 — so far, bidding is only up to $455,800.

In a chat about her career with The Guardian, The Little Mermaid star Melissa McCarthy describes her real-life relationship with her character, the villainous Ursula.
The twice-Oscar-nominated star recalls working as a babysitter in New York City in the ’90s and watching the original animated Disney classic every night with the kids in her care.
“My God, I’d like to have a drink with Ursula,” she recalled thinking.
The actress said she lobbied hard for the plum part. “Having just gone through Covid, I was like, ‘Aha, this is [a] character who has been in isolation for long enough that she is not in the healthiest mental state.’ I started to love her in a whole new way. And she’s also been alone for years with two eels? She’s not solid on her tentacles, so to speak.”
While Melissa is about to launch Little Mermaid Friday, she and her husband and frequent collaborator, Ben Falcone, are still hard at work on their own projects. “It’s a fist fight to try to get comedies made right now. And I don’t know why, because we’ve never needed to laugh more,” she says.
“Comedy allows you to sit next to somebody whose ideas don’t match up. And maybe you come out a little closer,” McCarthy expresses.
She adds, “I can’t do a lot of useful things. I don’t know how to clean up the oceans, or stop our violent tendencies. But I can hopefully give someone who’s had a bad day an hour and a half to go into a different world where bills or illness isn’t the top thing on their brain. That’s the only skill set I really have. So I have to keep trying.”

There are many words to describe Keke Palmer, but since becoming a mother, she’d say she’s strong. Speaking to WSJ. Magazine‘s My Monday Morning, she says, “I can figure out anything … the kind of skills you learn to have being a mother—ain’t nothing that big of a deal.”
Keke welcomed her first child, son Leodis Andrellton Jackon, with boyfriend Darius Jackson in February. Her new schedule starts with breastfeeding her son at 4 or 5 a.m. and proceeds with pumping, checking emails and looking over her schedule to see how she’ll manage the day and her many projects, which include her Big Boss short film and documentary.
“Putting it all together was very therapeutic,” she says of working on Big Boss. “I was able to look at myself a little bit more objectively — what I went through and own all those things are a part of what I had to experience in order to grow and learn.”
Other forms of therapy or self-care on Keke’s regimen include watching old scripted and reality television shows, getting a message, doing yoga, meditating or taking a bath.
With a number of projects now under belt, Keke’s worked with a slew of celebrities, including Queen Latifah, Kevin Hart and Tyler Perry, whom she has the privilege of calling her mentors. She says the best advice she’s received thus far is to “just to keep going.”
“I’ve heard it from Samuel Jackson, from Ralph Farquhar, from a lot of different people throughout my career,” she says. “With this industry, it’s a marathon not a race. You’re not always going to be the most trending, popular person, but keep going and keep working and learning and acquiring new skills. That’s the win—to be able to make this a lasting career.”

Travis Denning and his longtime girlfriend, Madison Montgomery, have said “I do.”
Travis and Madison married on Saturday, May 20. The couple shared a photo of their big day on Instagram, with Travis writing, “Not a bad Saturday if I do say so myself,” and Madison simply captioning, “The Dennings.”
The wedding ceremony took place at The Estate at Cherokee Dock in Lebanon, Tennessee.
“I’m really looking forward to just being married, honestly,” Travis told the press before the wedding day. “That’s kind of the most important part of the wedding I’m looking forward to. It’s gonna be a beautiful ceremony. I’m excited to see all our friends and family, and of course, the reception’s gonna be a good ole time. And then after that, I’m looking forward to the honeymoon. We’re going to Switzerland.”
Travis, who notched his first number-one with “After a Few” in 2020, released “Second Best Thing” and “New Years Kiss” earlier in May.

Taylor Swift’s piano had a mind of its own at her Massachusetts show at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
After a steady downpour the previous night, the instrument started malfunctioning as Taylor sat to play one of the night’s surprise song selections. It began playing ghostly low notes without Taylor even touching the keys.
“Here’s what happened. So, it rained a lot last night — like a monsoon,” Taylor explained in fan-captured video from the stage. “To be exact, it rained for three and a half hours straight, and it just kept getting more and more rain. Literally, it was like a water park under the stage. You have no idea.”
“This has clearly broken my keyboard, ’cause it was like literally underwater,” she continued. “I didn’t know how any of the instruments were working last night. So, this is broken. I’m just gonna get the guitar. It’s gonna be fine.”
Meanwhile, a fan who was in attendance at Saturday’s waterlogged show is apparently trying to cash in. The fan reportedly tried selling rain droplets from the tour on Facebook Marketplace for $250.

The Revivalists have premiered a new song called “Don’t Look Back,” a track off the band’s upcoming album, Pour It Out Into the Night.
The punchy cut “pulls sonic inspiration from frontman David Shaw‘s early punk rock days,” a press release shares. You can listen to it now via digital outlets.
“Don’t Look Back” is the fourth track to be released from Pour It Out Into the Night, following lead single “Kid,” and the songs “The Long Con” and “Down in the Dirt.” The album will arrive in full on June 2.
The Revivalists will be touring in support of Pour It Out Into the Night throughout the spring and summer, including dates with The Head and the Heart and Band of Horses. You can also catch them perform “Kid” on NBC’s TODAY with Hoda & Jenna Thursday, May 25.

Miguel‘s “Sure Thing” is continuing to enjoy success stemming from its resurgence on TikTok. The song, released as a single from his debut, All I Want Is You, is now the top song on Top 40 radio, marking the singer’s first #1 on the Top 40 radio list.
“‘Sure Thing’ is a reflection of the great songwriters I learned from and that timeless songs still resonate,” Miguel said of his achievement. The song previously broke Billboard‘s record for most weeks spent on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop song chart, where it remains and currently sits at the #5 spot.
Miguel also has some new music: He recently shared his new single, “Give It To Me.” Taking the stage earlier this month, he performed the new song live for the first time at Usher‘s Lovers & Friends festival.

Escape the Fate has announced a U.S. headlining tour.
The run, dubbed the Out of the Shadows tour, begins August 31 in Salt Lake City and concludes October 5 in Portland, Oregon.

Andrew McCarthy is making the rounds, meeting up with his one-time “Brat Pack” as part of a new documentary.
As evidence, the actor-turned-TV director and author posted an Instagram photo of him and his St. Elmo’s Fire co-star Demi Moore, along with an image of them together in the 1985 movie.
Moore was just one stop on his way to try to catch up with the rest of the gang, which famously also included Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Rob Lowe, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, and Molly Ringwald.
According to McCarthy, it had been “years and years” since he’d met up with the “wondrous” Moore; the pair are all smiles in the new photo, which also shows Moore clutching one of her beloved dogs.
McCarthy has recently been on the promotional circuit behind his bestselling book, Walking with Sam, about his 500-mile trek with his then-19-year-old son along Spain’s Camino de Santiago in 2021.
