Janelle Monáe hasn’t yet dropped her The Age of Pleasure album, but she already has a tour set to support the project. The trek, titled The Age of Pleasure Tour, will make its way to theaters and amphitheaters across North America, hitting a total of 26 cities. The nearly two-month run, produced by Live Nation, kicks off August 30 in Seattle and comes to a close on October 18 at the YouTube Theater in LA.
Tickets will be available starting Thursday, June 1, at 10 a.m. local time via a Verizon presale, with other presales taking place throughout the next week. The general on-sale kicks off June 7 at 10 a.m. local time.
Janelle’s tour will follow the release of The Age of Pleasure, due out June 9. Her first album in five years, the project includes lead single “Lipstick Lover.”
Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe are extending their The World Tour once again. The bands just announced they will be bringing the trek to Australia in November.
“After getting back on the road this past summer, we’re beyond thrilled to bring this massive tour to a global audience including some special dates in Australia!” Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliottshares.
The two bands will head Down Under for three shows: November 8 in Brisbane, November 11 in Sydney and November 14 in Melbourne. Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 8.

(BOSTON) — Police have arrested 35-year-old Matthew J. Nilo, a former Boston attorney, in connection with several decades-old rapes that took place in Boston. Officials said they were able to identify the suspect using forensic genetic genealogy.
Nilo has been charged with three counts of aggravated rape, two counts of kidnapping, one count of assault with intent to rape and one count of indecent assault and battery, according to Boston police.
The sexual assaults were allegedly committed on Aug. 18, 2007; Nov. 22, 2007; Aug. 5, 2008; and Dec. 23, 2008, in the Boston neighborhood of Charlestown, according to police.
“This arrest cumulates the investigation that employed the use of genetic genealogy from recovered evidence. All four cases are DNA connected,” Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox said at a press conference.
Nilo was arrested in New Jersey following an investigation between the Boston Police Department, the New Jersey Police Department and Boston’s FBI office.
“These investigations utilized sexual assault evidence collection kits with the assistance of detectives in identifying the suspect as the investigations continued,” Cox said.
Additional resources for the investigation came from the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Grant, which helps the city investigate unsolved sexual assault crimes, according to Cox.
Efforts were launched in May 2022 to review unsolved sexual assault cases that posed the most threat to public safety, Cox said.
Authorities announced in 2008 that the cases were connected through DNA evidence, but had no suspect at the time. Through genetic genealogy, detectives can search for relatives of an unknown suspect through DNA voluntarily submitted to public databases and then narrow the family members down to a likely perpetrator.
“While we know today’s arrest of Mr. Nilo cannot erase the harm he allegedly inflicted upon his survivors, we believe we have removed a dangerous threat from our community,” FBI Boston Division Special Agent in Charge Joseph Bonavolonta said at the press conference.
Britney Spears‘ ex-husband Kevin Federline, the father of her two sons, Sean and Jayden, recently decided to move his family to Hawaii because of job opportunities. Kevin’s lawyer told Entertainment Tonight that if Britney didn’t agree to the move, he’d have to take legal action. Well, it seems Britney’s given the OK, but only after her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, accused Kevin of “appallingly” violating her privacy.
In a letter from Rosengart to Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, obtained by Page Six, Rosengart says Britney “will not interfere with and consents to the relocation.” But Rosengart goes on to take Kaplan and Kevin to task for blabbing about their lives to the media.
According to Page Six, Rosengart’s letter to Kaplan argues Kevin “appallingly violated [the boys’] privacy, while egregiously violating Britney’s privacy, by releasing a private video of Britney with her children,” and also slams him for doing an Australian TV interview about Britney.
In addition, Rosengart points out that he told Kaplan to keep quiet about the move, but instead Kaplan did interviews about it with TMZ and Entertainment Tonight.
He calls Kaplan’s interviews “undignified, ungracious and unnecessary,” then notes the irony of Kaplan’s claim the family wanted to move to Hawaii because the boys wanted to be “more sheltered from the media.”
“That is commendable. But your media interview did nothing to shelter them; instead, it publicized the issue in the media,” Rosengarten points out.
A Los Angeles jury has found former That ’70s Show actor Danny Masterson guilty of two counts of forcible rape in a retrial of a case involving three women.
The third count involving Jane Doe 3 has been declared a mistrial.
The jury reached its verdict Wednesday afternoon after deliberating since May 17.
Masterson, 47, pleaded not guilty to three counts of felony rape following accusations by three different women, including a former girlfriend. The alleged attacks took place between 2001 and 2003.
He faced 45 years to life in prison if convicted on all three charges.
The first trial ended in a mistrial in November 2022, with the jury deadlocked and unable to reach a verdict.
The three alleged victims were members of the Church of Scientology, as is Masterson. All three women said they were initially hesitant to speak to law enforcement because church teachings discouraged reporting to police. The women eventually left the church.
Masterson, who was arrested in 2020, said each of the encounters was consensual. That ’70s Show was still on the air at the time of all three alleged rapes.
