Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan teaming up for joint stand-up tour

Two of the most recognizable names in comedy, Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan, are teaming up and co-headlining a four-date stand-up tour.

Gaffigan’s Instagram notes tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 14, at 10 a.m. on both JimGaffigan.com and JerrySeinfeld.com, with the code ALIVE; Gaffigan’s main summer tour is titled Barely Alive.

The shows kick off November 3 at San Francisco’s Chase Center; Saturday, November 4, will have them playing the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The tour moves to Chicago November 10 and wraps up Saturday, November 11, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jerry, who met Jim on season 8 of Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee series, told The Hollywood Reporter that the team-up was in the works for some time. “[We] have been talking about doing this for years. We finally made the schedules work out.”

For his part, Gaffigan added, “I’m so excited to help out this unknown up and upcoming comedian who many may have never heard of. I know it will be an amazing bunch of shows.”

3 Doors Down shares original video for “When I’m Gone”

3 Doors Down has unearthed the original video for “When I’m Gone,” a single off the band’s 2002 sophomore album, Away from the Sun.

The clip, which is streaming now on YouTube, shows Brad Arnold and company being buried alive in the mud of rural Mississippi. While it was initially intended to be the official “When I’m Gone” video, the group decided to scrap it in favor of performance footage from their 2002 performance on the USS George Washington.

“It was a wild experience shooting the original video for ‘When I’m Gone,'” Arnold says. “The most intense and unforgettable part was being buried above my head not once, but three times.”

“Although we faced numerous challenges while making that video, nothing could compare to the overwhelming feeling we experienced the first time we saw the military version,” he adds. “What started as a military tour became something extraordinary we’ll always treasure. But, it was meant to be.”

3 Doors Down will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Away from the Sun on a U.S. tour launching June 14 in Baltimore. Candlebox will also be on the bill as part of their farewell tour.

Lauren Alaina’s ‘Unlocked’ features a playful duet with Lainey Wilson

The wait for new Lauren Alaina music is finally over.

Lauren’s brand new EP, Unlocked, has arrived. The six-song set includes the previously released “A Walk In The Bar” and “Hangovers,” as well as a sprightly and cheeky duet with Lainey Wilson (“Thicc As Thieves”).

“I’m so proud to have Unlocked out in the world today,” shares Lauren. “Five years ago, I don’t know that I would’ve cut any of these songs; it took slowing down, getting to know myself, digging deep in the writing room, and living some life to bring me to this place with this new music.”

“I feel like I’ve fully embraced and stepped into who I am as a woman, an artist, a songwriter, and I’m so excited for my fans to get to step into this next chapter with me,” she adds.

Unlocked is Lauren’s debut project with her new label home, Big Loud Records. Prior to that, she was signed to Universal Music Group Nashville for almost 11 years, before departing in April 2022.

KISS’ Gene Simmons on their final shows: “It’s gonna be heartbreaking”

KISS just kicked off the European leg of their End of the Road tour and it’s got Gene Simmons reflecting on the band’s legendary career. In an interview with Good Morning Britain, Simmons says he feels “pride in a half a century of defying the critics.”

“We use them as mulch. You know what that is? You grind ’em up and you put ’em in the dirt. They don’t mean anything,” he shares. “If it was up to critics, we wouldn’t have our favorite things — Star Wars and, you know, all the fun stuff in life. We completely ignored them.”

As for the decision to stop touring, Simmons notes, “You have to have a little pride and self-respect. Know when to get off the stage,” joking, “It’s been half a century, and boy, do I look good.”

He adds, “I can’t tell you how much it means to us to be in front of the fans and put on the spectacle of all spectacles.”

Finally, he says of the end, “It’s gonna be happy, because of the amazing journey we’ve had, but sad, of course, because it’s gonna be heartbreaking.”

KISS’ End of the Road tour hits Prague on June 10. They wrap the tour for good December 1 and 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A complete list of dates can be found at kissonline.com.

Gabby introduces next album with “Glory Days”

Penned by Gabby, Emily Weisband, James McNair and Seth Mosley, the soaring track captures Gabby’s immense gratitude for all she has in her life.

Daughtry & Lzzy Hale share live video of collaborative “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” cover

Daughtry and Halestorm‘s Lzzy Hale have shared a live video for their collaborative cover of Journey‘s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).”

The joint performance was filmed during Daughtry’s concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier this year. You can watch the video streaming now on YouTube.

Daughtry and Hale first premiered the “Separate Ways” cover in January on the 40th anniversary of the original song’s 1983 single release. The track reached the top five on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Taylor Swift racks up the streams, sets another ‘Billboard’ chart record

It’s a given that artists who go on stadium tours bring in millions of dollars from ticket sales and merchandise. But Taylor Swift‘s bottom line is also being increased by huge streaming boosts for her entire catalog, reports Billboard.

Because Taylor’s tour celebrates all her albums, fans seemingly can’t wait to stream those songs that either they’ve forgotten about or weren’t as familiar with. Billboard notes that of the 42 songs Taylor has performed at every Eras Tour date, 23 of them, at minimum, doubled in weekly streams by the 10th week of the tour.

The biggest gainer, according to Billboard, is set opener “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince” from Lover, which has experienced a 482% boost in streams. The next biggest gainer is the second song in the set, “Cruel Summer,” which has surged by over 300%.

As for all the “surprise songs” Taylor has played, her 2006 debut single “Tim McGraw” is the streaming winner, with an increase of 135%.

Taylor has another two months of Eras shows in the U.S. before taking the tour to other countries, so Billboard says it’ll be interesting to see if her streaming numbers continue to rise.

In other Taylor news, her song “Karma” has just reached the top 10 on Billboard’s Adult Top 40 Airplay chart. It’s her 28th top 10 hit on that chart — the most by any artist. She surpasses the previous record of 27, set by Maroon 5. Pink is third on the list with 20.

Neil Young announces 13-date Coastal Tour

Neil Young recently revealed he’s hitting the road this summer on a West Coast solo tour, and now we have the dates.

Young’s Coastal Tour, featuring special guest Chris Pierce, will consist of 13 dates, kicking off with a four-night stand at Los Angeles’ John Anson Ford Theatre on July 1, 2, 4 and 5.

The tour will hit California cities like Santa Barbara, San Diego and Paso Robles, plus stops in Washington and Oregon, before wrapping July 23 in Napa, California. A complete list of dates can be found at neilyoungarchives.com.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Wednesday, June 14, at 10 a.m. local time. To cut down on scalping, tickets purchased through Ticketmaster can only be resold through Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange.

As previously reported, Young revealed in a Zoom with Neil Young Archives subscribers that the tour will focus on songs he hasn’t actually played live before. The tour will be Young’s first since before the pandemic.

Trump federal indictment unsealed in classified documents probe

(WASHINGTON) — Federal prosecutors unsealed the indictment Friday against former President Donald Trump in connection with his handling of government documents.

The 38 charges against Trump and his aide Walt Nauta include conspiracy to obstruct justice and scheme to conceal, according to the document.

Trump is slated to be arraigned on Tuesday in a Florida federal court.

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and criticized the Department of Justice and the U.S. attorney general’s office of conducting a political “witch hunt.”

Special Counsel Jack Smith is slated to make a statement about the indictment at 3 p.m.

DJ Khaled announces inaugural We The Best Foundation Golf Classic

DJ Khaled often spends time on the golf course, but now he wants his family and friends to join him, and it’s all for a great cause. The producer is hosting his first We The Best Foundation Golf Classic, which will see him and his celebrity friends go head-to-head for charity.

The tournament will take place July 19 in Miami, starting at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit Khaled’s We The Best Foundation, which aims to enrich and support nonprofit organizations and individuals in underserved communities.

“Just to be out on the golf course with close friends and family of mine is a blessing,” Khaled said in a statement. “Giving back makes it even better. I can’t wait to see you all at the first-ever We The Best Foundation Golf Classic. We’re starting something very special here while introducing the sport of golf to a wider community.”

“We doing it big for charity, big charity golf tournament, big celebrity golf tournament, I can’t wait,” he added on Instagram. “I’m inviting all my friends and we doing it for the kids, the young world, we gonna do it big.”
