New Edition has been nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and they’re urging fans to vote and help them secure a position in the 2026 class.

Ricky Bell took to Instagram Wednesday to share his reaction to the news. “God is the Greatest! I am truly humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude right now,” he wrote. “To my brothers Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, and Johnny—we’ve been on this journey for over 40 years, and today, @newedition has officially been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2026!”

“From the Orchard Park projects to the world stage, we’ve always done it for the love of the music and for YOU, our incredible fans. We wouldn’t be here without your unwavering support and loyalty through every season. This nomination is just as much yours as it is ours,” he continued. “Now, we need y’all to show up like only you can!”

Ricky provided instructions on how fans can cast their votes, before concluding with the message: “Let’s make history together. It’s God’s timing, and it’s our time! Love y’all to life!”

In Bobby Brown’s post about the nomination, he wrote that “it’s time for the NE4LIFERS to show up and show out,” noting, “every single click matters.”

“This is about legacy. This is about impact. This is about NEW EDITION,” he wrote. “Let’s move with purpose and make it count. NE4LIFE.”

Michael Bivins added, “Let’s … show the @rockhall why we belong on final list for 2026.”

New Edition is among 17 nominees being considered for induction. It’s their first time appearing on the ballot.

Inductees will be announced in April, with the ceremony set to take place in the fall.

Has Selena Gomez subtly responded to recent criticism of her husband, Benny Blanco?

On her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Selena shared a video of her and Benny kissing, adding the caption, “I fall more and more in love with you every day my love.”

The post comes amid Benny’s controversial appearance on his new Friends Keep Secrets podcast. Social media was quick to call the songwriter and producer out over the episode, because he not only showed his visibly dirty feet on camera but also casually passed gas. He then joked about whether or not the camera could pick up the sound.

While they’ve known each other since Selena was a teen, she and Benny began dating in June 2023. They revealed their engagement in December 2024 and married in Santa Barbara, California, in September 2025.

An R.E.M. classic is featured in season 3 of Apple TV’s Shrinking, but it’s not the version most fans are used to.

Episode 5 of the show, which premiered Wednesday, features a cover of the song performed by series star Jason Segel, and his take on the track has just been released.

In the episode, Segel’s character, Jimmy, is having a discussion with Meg, played by Lily Rabe, who’s the daughter of Harrison Ford’s character, Paul. During the chat, Jimmy opens up about his love life and expresses his desire to have “one easy romantic moment” or “one uncomplicated kiss” so he can feel hopeful about romance again. He adds that he pictures “Nightswimming” playing in the background while it happens, but with him singing the song.

At the end of the episode, Segel’s version of the song plays as he and the married Meg kiss, and the episode’s credits start to roll.

“Nightswimming” appeared on R.E.M.’s eighth studio album, Automatic for the People. It was released as a single in the U.K., where it went to #27 on the singles chart.

T.I.’s son King Harris has released a diss track toward 50 Cent. In “Made Man,” he attacks the rapper for throwing shots at his mother, Tiny Harris, amid his back-and-forth with T.I.

T.I. and 50 have been feuding since T.I. expressed disappointment over 50’s refusal to take part in a Verzuz that he allegedly initially agreed to. King entered the feud after 50 posted an unflattering photo of Tiny on his Instagram.

“Wanna say something about my mama, your mama dead,” King said to 50 in one clip. “Go dig her up.”

T.I. also responded to 50 with a new diss track titled “The Right One,” in which he mentioned 50’s ex Daphne Joy’s past relationship with Diddy.

“You ain’t that savage, n**** you 5-0 dispatcher/ Ol tender d*** n**** all mad ‘cause Puff let your b**** have it/ Gave her tartar sauce and mustard like a fish sammich,” T.I. raps.

While 50 had initially taken more digs at Tiny and responded to King on his socials, the posts have since been deleted from his Instagram.

Is Olivia Rodrigo teasing album three?

Is Olivia Rodrigo teasing album three?

Is Olivia Rodrigo’s next album closer than we think?

Her producer and musical collaborator Dan Nigro posted a photo on Instagram Wednesday showing himself crashed out on a couch with Olivia sitting next to him. The caption reads, “Finishing records…”

Olivia commented, “the palpable stress in this photo hahahha.”

Eagle-eyed fans noted that on the coffee table in front of Liv and Dan is a copy of KATSEYE’s album, inscribed “To John Janick,” who is the head of Olivia’s label. When a fan in the comments speculated that this might be a hint that Liv is collaborating with the group on her new project, responses ran about 50-50 positive and negative for the idea.

Olivia, who recently celebrated her 23rd birthday, hasn’t released a new studio album since 2023’s GUTS. She put out the album Live from Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) in December, and earlier this year marked the fifth anniversary of her hit “drivers license” by releasing a duet version with former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne.

At the time, she said she was planning to release several other “reimagined” cover versions that will celebrate the forthcoming fifth anniversary of her debut album, SOUR, which was released May 21, 2021. So perhaps those “records” Dan is finishing are those cover versions and not OR3. Stay tuned.

Connor Storrie is showing off his gift for accents in a new promo ahead of his appearance on SNL this weekend.

The Heated Rivalry star, who plays Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov in the show, engages in an “accent duel” with SNL cast member James Austin Johnson.

Fellow SNL cast members Ashley Padilla and Marcello Hernandez shout out different accents for them to do, including German, Cajun, French, Shrek, Na’vi and Shakespeare — before Storrie delivers the final blow by doing the Russian accent he mastered on Heated Rivalry.

“When you get to Hell, tell them Rozanov sent you,” a cowboy hat-wearing Storrie says, before shooting Johnson to win the duel.

Things get a little too real when Johnson collapses to the floor and Padilla and Hernandez run to his side. “You killed him!” Padilla screams, as Storrie backs away.

Storrie hosts this Saturday’s episode with Mumford & Sons as the musical guest.

The clip is animated in claymation and begins with a magic show before taking increasingly more surreal turns.

“A lot of magicians out there but very few WIZARDS,” The Hives say of the video. “The Hives pulling you through the rabbit hole in a claymation fever dream.”

The “Roll Out the Red Carpet” video is available on YouTube.

The Hives will launch a U.S. headlining tour in March.

Des Rocs has released a new song called “When the Love Is Gone.”

“This one’s a gut punch,” Des Rocs says in a statement. “It’s about losing something that was everything to you. The riffs are aggressive but it’s all tied up in these vulnerable moments.”

“It’s funny, ’cause sometimes rock music these days can feel so distant. Like it’s coming from up on some hill,” the “I Am the Lightning” artist adds. “But I’ve always felt that when you mix it with real pain and real stories it hits harder than any detuned riff or breakdown on the planet. That’s what I’m always chasing in a way.”

“When the Love Is Gone” follows the Des Rocs single “This Land,” which was recorded for the Borderlands 4 video game. “This Land” currently sits in the top 20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

Des Rocs will launch a U.S. tour in March.
