Parker McCollum‘s son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, celebrated his first birthday in August, so he already has one yuletide season under his belt — although he was just a few months old at the time.

Parker and his wife, Hallie Ray McCollum, are especially excited about Christmas this year.

“My son’s like right on the cusp of being old enough to like really enjoy Christmas,” Parker says. “I think we may be a little bit early. That’s not gonna stop my wife from acting like he’s 10 and fully aware of what’s going on.”

“So I’ll be looking forward to just playing along and acting like she’s right,” he adds.

Of course, as Major grows up, Parker has his own rituals he’s ready to start.

“Probably the tradition I look forward most to showing my son one day is taking off to the ranch to go hunting as soon as Christmas Day’s over,” he says.

Parker will get back to work fairly quickly, as he’s booked to play Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth on New Year’s Eve.

Disney+ is officially Swiftie Central on Friday: a heaping helping of Taylor Swift-related content has arrived.

The first two episodes of The End of an Era, a six-episode docuseries that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, are now streaming. Also available is Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, which captures the tour’s last show in Vancouver, British Columbia, in December 2024.

Even if you’ve already seen last year’s Eras Tour, The Final Show offers something new: The Tortured Poets Department segment, which Taylor added following the 2024 release of the album.

For those without Disney+, ABC will air episode 1 of The End of an Era and a one-hour version of the concert special on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.

In the documentary, Taylor reflects on the tour’s impact, saying, “This show created a bonding experience for 70,000 people all at once and I don’t know how that happened. I’ve never been part of a phenomenon before.”

She admitted she was surprised by the success of the tour during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“It took a second,” she said. “In the beginning, we were seeing all this insane demand for the tour, but I chalked it up to, ‘I’ve put out five albums. I haven’t gotten to tour any of them and there’s built-up demand.'”

“I didn’t realize it was going to be this until you start hearing people’s experiences at the show,” she continued, mentioning articles she read about fans experiencing “post-concert amnesia.”

“They were getting like, ‘joy blackouts,'” she said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, man, I think this one is different!'”

Disney is the parent company of ABC News.

Turnstile released a visual album to accompany their new record, NEVER ENOUGH, and frontman Brendan Yates is looking to dive even further into the film work.

Yates tells Rolling Stone that he hopes to one day score a movie.

“I’ve never done it, but I’ve always dreamed about it,” Yates shares. “I hope one day there’s an opportunity.”

In the meantime, Yates can enjoy the success of NEVER ENOUGH, which gave Turnstile their first top-10 album on the Billboard 200. The record also made Turnstile the first act to earn Grammy nominations in the rock, metal and alternative categories all in the same year.

“We grew up going to punk and hardcore shows,” Yates says. “We grew up listening to rock. We grew up listening to metal, to alternative, to R&B, to rap, to electronic music. We listened to all kinds of things.”

“We’ve never denied ourselves the musical influences that have been a part of our lives growing up, what our parents were playing when we were kids,” he continues. “Everyone is kind of just a sponge of what they are drawn to. I think it’s important to not put a box around what you naturally are drawn to.”

Queen’s iconic #1 hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” has reached a new milestone on YouTube.

The video for the 1975 song has just surpassed 2 billion views on the site, making it the oldest song to ever reach such a milestone.

This has been a big year for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” as Queen celebrated the song’s 50th anniversary in October. To mark the occasion they released the single on transparent blue heavyweight 12-inch vinyl, as a 12-inch picture disc and as a blue cassette single.

The song is from Queen’s #1 album A Night at the Opera. It was the band’s first #1 single in the U.K., spending nine weeks on the top of the chart. The six-minute operatic tune, written by Freddie Mercury, was rereleased in 1991 following Mercury’s death and returned to #1.

In other Queen news … guitarist Brian May’s wife, Anita Dobson, revealed a bit of a tidbit about the future of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band, and it sounds like fans shouldn’t expect to see them out on the road anytime soon.

“They will do little bits and bobs, but they won’t do those big tours,” she told the U.K. outlet The Mirror. “We are all getting old.”

‘Dust Bunny’ confronts the monster under the bed

The scariest monsters may not be from your imagination in the new film Dust Bunny. It stars Mads Mikkelsen, who plays a contract killer who takes a job from a young girl (Sophie Sloan) who believes her parents were eaten by a monster under her bed.

Dust Bunny, which also stars Sigourney Weaver and David Dastmalchian, takes place in a world of ultra-stylish street gangs. Mikkelsen says the film’s heightened world allowed him more freedom as a performer.

“I’m being enlightened every day, and I’m learning something new about my character every day,” Mikkelsen tells ABC Audio.

The movie marks the feature directorial debut of Bryan Fuller, who previously worked on the show Hannibal with Mikkelsen. Fuller says he enjoyed working in a different medium because it allowed him to be closer to the cast and crew.

“And what was wonderful about doing the movie for the first time I got to be present in the experience with the cast and the department heads in a way that felt so much more intimate,” Fuller said.

Mikkelsen also says the trust he formed with Fuller over Hannibal’s three-season run was crucial.

“You have to rely on, obviously on what Bryan’s doing,” says Mikkelsen. “Like, OK, I’m wearing weird pajamas in this fighting scene — so be it!”

Dust Bunny exists in a world of both real and imagined monsters, and Fuller and Mikkelsen say both types of experiences contributed to the creative process.

“The scariest thing for me as a kid was my dad, honestly, so that’s hard to beat in terms of childhood fears,” says Fuller.

“I got to see [John Carpenter’s Halloween] a little too early for my age,” says Mikkelsen. “So that haunted me for a while.”

Blondie’s iconic track “Call Me” is featured in the first teaser trailer for the new Supergirl film.

Milly Alcock stars as the titular Supergirl/Kara Zor-El in the second film in the new DC Universe. The trailer starts off by showing Kara’s everyday world, as the Blondie track kicks in.

The movie follows what happens “when an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home,” according to the trailer’s official synopsis. “Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”

Blondie shared a post about the trailer in an Instagram Story. They also shared artwork by artist Butcher Billy that imagines Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry as Supergirl, as well as a video of Alcock being asked what she’s listening to. Her response? “Call Me” by Blondie.

Supergirl flies into theaters on June 26, 2026.

“Call Me,” produced and composed by Giorgio Moroder, with lyrics by Harry, originally appeared in the 1980 Richard Gere film American Gigolo. After being released as a single, it went on to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, spending six weeks in the top spot.
