Josh Groban to return to Las Vegas for another round of ‘Gems’ residency

Josh Groban recently launched his Gems world tour, and after that he’ll do a North American tour, which will keep him on the road through July. But it turns out he’s also made plans for the fall.

Josh will return to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in October for another installment of his Gems residency, which he first staged last year. The shows will feature fan favorites from his catalog, as well as music from his new album, which is due in the spring.

Josh says in a statement, “Las Vegas has always been a place where music and spectacle meet, and I’m thrilled to bring Gems back to The Colosseum for this special run. These shows will celebrate the songs that have shaped my journey, along with a few surprises I can’t wait to share.”

A presale for Citi cardmembers starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT via citientertainment.com. A presale for fan club members starts Thursday at 10 a.m. PT. Other presales run through Friday. On Saturday tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. PT via ticketmaster.com/JoshGrobanVegas.

Josh’s Gems world tour, which is currently visiting Asia, wraps in April. The North American tour, with special guest Jennifer Hudson, starts in June.

Manhunt underway for 2 murder suspects who escaped Georgia jail

(SUMTER COUNTY, Ga.) — Authorities are continuing the search for two murder suspects who escaped from a Georgia jail on Sunday.

Rickey Martin, 20, and Kentravious Holmes, 21, escaped Sumter County Jail at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the sheriff’s office.

The two inmates were also in custody on charges including aggravated assault and aggravated battery, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Martin is 5 foot 4 inches and weighs 120 pounds. He is a Black male with un-twisted dreads, according to the sheriff’s office.

Holmes is 5 foot 8 inches in height and weighs 155 pounds. Holmes is a Black male with un-twisted dreads and multiple tattoos on his face and neck, including a “$” sign, a broken heart and “Baby Kay” over his right eye, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone who sees either individual or has any information on their whereabouts, is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff’s Office directly at 229-924-4094.

Kelsea Ballerini & Chase Stokes break up again

The on-again, off-again romance between Kelsea Ballerini and Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes seems to be off again.

Though official sources don’t seem to be talking, People cites multiple other insiders who confirm the relationship is off, just as Kelsea seems to have scrubbed photos of the two from Instagram and unfollowed him, as well.

The two first started dating three years ago, before officially making their debut as a couple at the CMT Music Awards in April 2023. In September 2025 they announced their breakup, only to confirm they’d gotten back together by New Year’s Eve.

Approximately five weeks later, the romance seems to be in the rearview, just a week after Kelsea spoke glowingly about their relationship on the Grammy red carpet.

It’s been a tough year for the “Baggage” hitmaker so far, after losing her beloved dog Dibs in January, too.

Simple Plan announces second leg of 25th anniversary tour

Simple Plan has announced a second leg of the band’s Bigger Than You Think! 25th anniversary tour.

The upcoming trek, dubbed the Bigger Than You Think! Tour – The Sequel!, will run from July 24 in Las Vegas to Aug. 20 in Toronto. As with the first leg, which ran in 2025, the new dates will feature support from Bowling for Soup and 3OH!3.

“Last summer, our ‘Bigger Than You Think!’ U.S. headline tour was one of the best times we’ve ever had on the road,” Simple Plan says. “Every single show was amazing and we had so much fun playing with our great friends Bowling for Soup and 3OH!3 — we honestly didn’t want it to end.

The “Perfect” band adds, “As soon as the last show wrapped, we knew we had to find a way to keep it going and visit all the awesome cities we missed on the first run.”

Presales begin Tuesday at noon local time, and tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

The Hu & Apocalyptica announce US tour

Metal from around the world will join forces when Mongolia’s The Hu and Finland’s Apocalyptica hit the road together for a U.S. tour.

The trek launches May 12 in Silver Spring, Maryland, and wraps up June 7 in Anaheim, California. Finnish band The Rasmus will also be on the bill.

Presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, and tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Van Halen released their self-titled debut album, which peaked at #19 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

The album featured such future classics as “Runnin’ with the Devil,” “Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love,” “Jamie’s Cryin’,” the instrumental “Eruption,” and a cover of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me.”

Van Halen, which features the band’s original frontman, David Lee Roth, went on to become a huge commercial success for the future Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, selling more than 10 million copies in the U.S. to earn a Diamond certification from the RIAA, one of two the band received. The other was for their sixth studio album, 1984, which was their last to feature Roth, until 2012’s A Different Kind of Truth.

2 killed in new Eastern Pacific boat strike, SOUTHCOM says

(NEW YORK) — U.S. Southern Command announced on Monday that its forces conducted a new airstrike against an alleged drug smuggling boat in the Eastern Pacific, killing two people aboard and leaving one survivor.

SOUTHCOM said in a statement posted to X that it “immediately notified U.S. Coast Guard to activate the Search and Rescue system for the survivor.”

The statement was accompanied by video of the strike.

“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” SOUTHCOM said, noting that the strike was launched at the direction of commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan.

Monday’s operation is the 38th airstrike conducted by U.S. forces since Sept. 2. The killings bring to 130 the number of people killed in these strikes.
